8 Blocks today...love it! Time to start Block Monday! I'm not sure if I should be happy or offended to be nerdy but here's what it said when I finished the quiz... 0% scored higher (more nerdy), 0% scored the same, and 100% scored lower (less nerdy). What does this mean? Your nerdiness is: All hail the monstrous nerd. You are by far the SUPREME NERD GOD!!! LOL Oh Nerd God you..... please go help us get that block will ya?

Apologies for continuing the OT, but Assembly language is a low level programming language (hardware specific) that is turned into machine language by the assembler. All the other are high level languages that are compiled. First computer I programmed on was a Xerox Sigma 9.
Congrats to Carl on his awesome nerd score!
Woke up to two blocks - nice start to a Monday!

Looks like Bitmain is testing a new Batch S9. Their quota of global hashing rised from 20% to 26% within one day or so.

I am confirmed a LOW LEVEL nerd.
I know we are risking getting red carded for going off topic here...
...but one of the question was so intriguing to me... I thought all of them are real programming languages... some experts please shed some light?
Which of the following is not a real programming language?
1. BASIC 2. C++ 3. PASCAL 4. Assembly 5. FORTRAN 6. COBOL
I don't think assembly is a programming language. Edit: I think it is a machine language. Well long ago and far away (1979 Diego Garcia, Indian ocean) I had a Navy computer repair tech write a program in Assembler machine language, but an assembly what was we went to when the two of us got a commendation from the captain of our ship for solving the pc problem. So I would guess an assembly is a group of people not a programer language. Wow...very clever, Phil. Luv it. I wasn't going to say anything because I thought maybe "Assembly" was a typo (really common one). I had to write some routines in my first computer training in 1960 in assembler...but that was back when we used paper tape and the original FORTRAN (where you had to construct your own "DO" loops). We thought it was such a big deal when we got card punches/readers.
