A bad time to run cold. Some quick math.
we are 40ph
90% luck earns 86.4btc per day
100% luck earns 96.0btc per day
110% luck earns 105.6btc per day
there are 992 blocks until the ½ ing that is 6.888 days
so our pool should earn 595 to 727 coins before the ½ ing
or 24 to 29 blocks . lets track it from now on
okay 1 so far yesss! and 2 down 3 and 4 while I slept >>>>>>>>419094 + 419102

Sorry for the off topic.. I asked this question yesterday in the Software thread. Lots of views, but no replies. Maybe someone here knows the answer, if there is one. Is there an app, somewhat like a task scheduler, that can change the frequency on an S7/S9 depending on the time of day? That would be great to increase the miner frequency after 8:00 PM and decrease it sometime mid morning when the heat returns. Any answers or thoughts appreciated!

Hey, that's more on topic than the dancing nerd chicken... Anyway...haven't got a clue, unfortunately, and I looked for one not too long ago when I had the S7s here at home...same issue...wanted to run them underclocked during the day and back to normal at night, even if I was away in the evening and not there to do it myself. The only way I can see to do it might be some sort of batch script you run on your workstation to do the basic moves via the web interface, which keys on date/time. I'm getting too old and lazy to code something even that simple, though. EDIT...btw, like your "new" avatar...

My R1 reboots every 48 hours to keep it alive... in that Antminer menu, it has scheduled tasks etc. See those small ants run at http://www.antrun.de/ .... 30 runners pointing to solo.ckpool.org. Back to your question... some cron job to check time and perform those CLIs via SSH probably can do the trick. I am sure we have many gurus here who are good in scripts..... kano and ck perhaps can give you expert guidance. Personally, I would want all my miners to go full warp speed, after halving.

Yeah, a batch file that could be triggered by the Windows task scheduler was what I was thinking. (Yes, I'm still running Win 10 on this laptop for some software I need to run. Got Win 7 and Linux Mint on two others.) Anyway, yes, I am also too old and lazy to try to figure out how to access the miners via script. Thus hoping some younger, smarter person had already perfected it. Thanks for the "like" on the avatar. I am hoping a purple dancing bear will bring us some luck!

I have programmed everything from COBOL and RPG to Visual Basic and Java over the years, but I have forgotten most of it and that kind of programming/coding is over my head nowadays. Perhaps some of the coding gurus have or can come up with a viable option. ** Three more blocks today will make me happy! EDIT: It's too hot here after 11:00 in the morning until around 8:00 at night to run full speed as I'm only cooling with fans now. It's 96F outside now.

I've got a Win10 boot drive on my workstation, but only use it for Seamonkey...could never figure out how to get it to install properly on my main drive, which is Ubuntu (16.04...but Seamonkey wouldn't install on 12 either). I've not been able to find a decent wysiwyg html editor open-source. Otherwise, I've become allergic to anything MS.

LOL... ..... is Wordstar or WordPerfect still available for Windows? No idea. I couldn't stand those and never used them. I have used MS Word a lot over the years. Now use Liber Office. ** I just had to down-clock all the miners again as the temperature is now 98 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Come on fall! Time for some blocks!
