You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your bitcoin
When you're sittin' near your miner
There'll be time enough for crying
When the "Halving's" done......... Grin

Block by Xunknown1!  That is his 4th Kano block and our 4th of the day!  Cheesy

If we can maintain at least a 4 block/day average then I'll be able to keep mining as is...  Grin

At 45pH, we need 4.25 blocks to achieve 100% luck…

But, Ck pool always do better than that

I don't have to have 100% luck to cover my hosting fees...at the current BTC price and the current pool size, My fees are covered with ~3.1 blocks per day.  That's why I'm happy when we can maintain a 4 block/day average each month.  We have been holding around 4.4 blocks/day for several months now.  If any of those 3 variables gets out of wack then I either have to increase my S9 to S7 ratio or retire from mining.  So far everything is looking good.

EDIT:  I already miss the good old days (last week) when we got 25+ BTC per block...then I only needed ~1.6 blocks/day to cover my fees and everything else was profit  Cry

Is something going on with the pool? A couple of times in the last 8 hours or so my miner has failed over to a backup. The most recent fail over was in the last 10 minutes or so.

My miner is at a data center with with a very reliable Internet connection. We have monitoring of our services out the wazoo and none of them (including the external monitoring system) is indicating a connectivity problem at our end.

Was I helpful?   BTC: 3G1Ubof5u8K9iJkM8We2f3amYZgGVdvpHr

Yeah there's been twice this afternoon/evening when I've lost contact with the pool.
In both cases when I regained it, it showed pretty much the same hash rate, users, etc. so I've been assuming it's my home internet (which clearly has had problems today)

None of the remote nodes lost contact with the main pool node, but one of them (DK) seems to be losing all it's miners each time.
Various monitoring I have on another vps is randomly having trouble talking to some of the nodes I have that no one can mine to.
So, basically, it looks like a couple of random 'out there' short term internet routing problems getting to the main pool from some places on the internet.

Me three. My S7s at Labrador went down around 0730UTC...twice...for short periods, and they just went down again. I'd sorta kinda like to figure out if it's a network issue before I e-mail Alan.

The S3s here at home are fine...no pool connection problem. I don't have remote access to Labrador yet, so can't tell if the S7s just failed over...or failed.

Just another day at the office...  Undecided

To infinity and beyond...on two 741s and one of only 3...nope, make that 4...full nodes in Hawaii...on <30A. (I have other gear on the Hoth ice planet)

I have been rock solid in NJ ,USA

And I just put in the fifth s-9  in the solar array I am up to 62 or 63th at kano.is

I was wondering has anyone upgraded a blockchaininfo wallet?

I am having trouble doing mine.  I use it for my mining address  at this pool so I would like to be able to upgrade it.

I got into the solo pool stats for my address...it appears from the 1hr hash rate, etc. that the S7s failed over, rather than just failing.

Dunno if that helps.

Keep calm. Mine on.

Wish I could help ya on that one, Phil...but I've not used any wallet but my own core since Mt. Gox...except for exchanges, etc. when actually moving funds.

Not sure what's going on with the pool, but my hash rate is showing 1/2 what it is and my stale shares have sky rocketed way above normal.
Anyone else?

Edit: Ok, hash rate is going back up and the stales have stopped. Weird.

Mine didn't fail over, it just demonstrated the behavior I mentioned. Seems to have returned to normal and my hash rate is going back to what it should be and the stale shares have stopped.

I'm having the same problem. Not sure if this even makes sense but I've failed over to slush with 60th for a very short time then miners switched back to kano

Wow...VERY interesting. Haven't seen that before. A while ago, the pool was showing some really whacked out rates on all my miners, both home and DC. Wish I'd had a minute to screenshot it, but had to go help the neighbor next door for a moment...now it's all back to normal (that word not used in my home often).  Kiss

Yes I upgraded mine.  Just clicked the button on the nag screen to do it.  Seems fine.  Using firefox.

Hey folks good evening to you all.

So I'm suffering from serious hash rate depression and thinking of adding an S9.
Can anyone suggest waiting a while or just scraping every last bit of hard coinage together and taking the plunge.

I'm still waiting on five S7's that Japan Post mixed up for me (I got a child's hand bag by accident).
If I ever see these for my $1500 then I could probably eBay them for a return.

The language barrier is difficult "clearing they clearing" is about the most info I can get.
I can just see some 4 year old mining instead of playing with her Amazon handbag.

Anyway, Earnings have dropped a little then with the halving, not as much as I would like.
Obviously the S9 will be mining at Kano.
