Is there a chance that the limit for dust payments is going to decrease since after halving its easy to be below the dust limit. I know its no longer feasible to mine with less than 1TH these days but i still like to mine for fun  |

I do not think we have done that yet. It is hard to do. we are 3% so .03 x .03 = .0009 or 9 in 10,000 on the next two blocks. but to do a triple we would be .03 x .03 x .03 = 0.000027 or 27 in 1,000,000 on the next 3 blocks. s |

Firstly, to get a triple block, it's 0.03 or 0.03 x 0.03 You see, firstly we get a block, thus we have a block. To get a double at that point, it's 1 x 0.03, and to get a triple at that point it's 1 x 0.03 x 0.03 The "1" is the fact that we already have a block = 100% chance of having that first block. The initial chance of finding a block (~0.03) doesn't matter, since we are looking at getting 'another' block when we already have a block. If we already have 2 blocks it's 1 x 1 x 0.03 Yep almost every time we get a double, I sit there and watch and wait chanting "Triple, triple, triple, triple ..." Coz once we have the double, it's about 1 in 33 chance of us getting a triple! How often would we expect to get a triple when the chance of getting one is 0.03? Of course 0.03 x 0.03 x 0.03 = 1 in 33 x 33 x 33 = 1 in 35937 |

Why is it that overall hash rate went down but kano pool has gone up so much. Did ppl just upgrade to the new s9 or did we just get a lot of new workers added to it?

Other pools hashrate has dropped significantly lately. Some I'm guessing are turning off old equipment. Others must be moving here. |

Other pools hashrate has dropped significantly lately. Some I'm guessing are turning off old equipment. Others must be moving here. Our worker count is back above 10,000. But our user count has gone down from last week when we were hitting around 1250 for a couple of days. But the 1,182 users we are currently showing is around what I've noticed our average to be for a while. All of that is subject to change in minutes-time. Let the Tuesday block party commence! |
