Okay, so after some reading and playing with several machines trying to get my hash rate up, I'm wondering if I'm wasting my time with monitoring it at all.
I don't think I've even got my rate ramped up yet anyway, so the accuracy is fuzzy.
So, in the meantime I figured I would ask this:
Does it make any difference from a work/share/difficulty point whether or not my Avalon machines are chained together or should I try to keep each machine on a different controller? Will my chances be ANY different at all or is it that completely random that they will operate exactly the same whether linked or on separate controllers?

Nothing happens until something moves.
MINE ON WITH KANO........except DPoS2

They should operate the same regardless. 5 per controller chain, and no more than 20 per Pi.

The only difference you can make to increase our chances of finding a block over a particular period of time, is by increasing your hash rate. Each hash you do has the same chance of finding a block as every other hash you do. So the more hashes you do per time period - i.e. higher hash rate - the more chances you have at finding a block during that time period. It doesn't affect the luck of the pool, it just shortens the average expected time between blocks found. THUS: if un-chaining them increases your hash rate, then that's good. Although, it's not supposed to have any detrimental effect if you do chain 4 or 5 miners. Of course, it's important to measure your hash rate correctly. You can only do that properly, by looking at your Shift page or Shift Graph over quite a few hours. So say if you look at what the average was for the day before you change it, then look at what it is for a day after you change it, if it's a noticeable increase in hash rate, then that's good.

I am going to try it again... it worked last night.. I am going to leave for a bit, and not click refresh on the page to see if there was a new block. I am going to go get a pizza, and 48 more cans of coke. Then I will sit in a hot bath and hope that I can kill the virus that is making me sick ( Cold) I will get into water hotter than I can stand and raise my body temp so much that the virus dies! Well, its a theory anyways.
While this is goin on, we might get another block because i am not clicking refresh all the time..
I wish you luck grasshoppers!

Starting to get warm again down south here. Miners are wanting the mineral oil treatment. Told them they need to produce 2 more blocks minimum by weeks end. We shall see.

#metoo on the no check challenge. I’m wondering if I can go a week without checking anything bitcoin related. No checking the price, no checking Kano %, no checking anything. Gonna give it a shot.

worse luck i got, received only $13 after waiting over 52 hours
the ramp up period is about two weeks currently another question regarding ramp up period, what if my network IP gets changed due to some disconnectivity then reassign new ip because of DHCP enabled in router.does this effect on ramp up period, what i mean is, how you recognize each miner whether from IP address or from worker name or what.

Did Bitmain sell all the S9's already? Damn!
I went to their site as soon as I got an email from them at 12 and there were only L3’s for sale for like 10 minutes but the S9 never did come out! Also they wrote me this “to help more of our beloved users confirm their orders in the same batch, we will release the same batch again at 5PM here today (9 January, GMT+8)! But I seriously doubt it that there will be more at 5pm since last time they sent me the same message and I waited all night but no miners showed up!
