i figured it's never too early to get involved in bitcoin and mining, so i set up a Kano account for my 8 and 10 year olds, and pointed 2 S9s to it.

i assume that the accumulated ramp will be lost (well, it will ramp down on my account), but cannot be transferred to the new account, right?

this should be an interesting exercise... i.e. additional hash for birthdays, etc... Smiley

Correct, the ramp cannot be transferred to a new account.  It will ramp down on the losing account and ramp up on the gaining account inversely.  nothing will be lost overall and with 2 S9s there shouldn't be any dust to deal with either.

You could point 10 S9s to the new account for 1Nd to get them fully ramped.  Just an idea.

It is odd. But there is one thing I like about this address, maybe he could sell it lol

1JWM1ZLCjZpNc5JuicySGBim1Wvy24kWXZ

Yes, my bitcoin address is correct..I have used a Bitmain S9 14TH... I am sorry if i am here to ask, i have waited for the payment, but it's been a long time.
I know they are not many, but I would like to have them ..
Thamk you for your courtesy!

Your address almost looks like it is from a pool since every day or so there is a receipt of around .08BTC which is then distributed to about 40 to 50 addresses about 15 minutes later.  Check out https://blockchain.info/address/1JWM1ZLCjZpNc5JuicySGBim1Wvy24kWXZ for details.

lol i had not noticed it before!! Cheesy

good thought, but it should be an exercise in patience and long term, rather having it all just presented to them...

thanks for your reactions, guys. anyhow, if you have small kids, it may be a interesting to get them involved in one way or the other, physically, mentally and emotionally. after all, we are doing this for a vision of the future, which the next generation will inherit. why not give them an edge as early as possible.......?

The doc movie, Banking on Bitcoin - which is avail on netflix was a good way to get him ramped.

My toddlers are already involved. They even refer to it as "the Bitcoin miner" and like the heat it puts off. They also say "It's Bitcoin time!" when my phone alarm goes off. Grin

EDIT: How times have changed... When I was a kid, sometimes I'd eat cereal in front of the furnace in the winter, but kids these days can get warmed up by a Bitcoin miner.

EDIT 2: Ha! I just lined up a free, tiny miner to use as a nightlight & white noise in their room--pointed to my BTC address until Kano codes the dust payment capability. Start 'em young!

Kano manually sends the payments, so he might not have coded the transaction yet if he's still moving.

Welcome aboard! Right off the bat, you sound like a great candidate for this pool since you've got more than enough hashpower to stay out of "dust payment" territory (see previous few pages), you've got a great power supply situation, and it doesn't sound like you're expecting to rely on small, daily payouts.

Mine on, and see my sig for a few tips.

Kanopool and CKpool are two different pools, with two different pool admins.  It should be noted that the 'k' in ckpool software is indeed our own esteemed kano. 'c' is the other guy.

Dust is on the "reward someday" list of things Kano is working on. He is trying to get an accounting system built.

You're correct as long as your reward is over the dust payment threshold.
Yep, 25 hours ago.
Good mindset. You'll make more here in the long-run.

So, is ckpool the solo and/or lottery pool?

Kano, now that you're awake, can you also add a to-do for higher precision percentages amongst the website pages?

Four decimal places would be great since I notice some places it gets rounded to three or even two decimal places.

Thanks, and great work on everything else!
