It depends where you are at in the world. Ping each one. For East Coast USA use NYA for number 1, Stratum for number 2 and a PPS pool for number 3.

A quick question. I just lost a power supply on one of my A741´s.
They are all powered by pairs of HP 700W supplies so the unit is still hashing on the side that´s powered.
What I´m wondering is, can I leave it like this, powered on just one side, until i get a new power supply in a couple of days time.
I find the 741 runs fine with just one hash board powered (mine was hashing on the right side next to auc3 connection) Do your power supplies get hot because if they do you might have to modify the fan unit. Last lot of HP 750w supplies i had to do fan resistor mod to each to run fan properly Fantastic i,ve got my first non dust payment here. Geronimoe Thanks for that. I´ll leave it running until the new supply arrives. The dead supply wasn´t running hot, but it is an old second hand unit so may have had some abuse in the past.

Answers in the first post in this thread, best for you is probably de (germany) or nl (netherlands): Mining configuration:Go to https://www.kano.is and register a username to mine with, by clicking on the Register/Reset link at the top right, or mine directly to the pool without registering, using a bitcoin payment address as your username. No password is required, so just use X for your password in your miner, since most miners need you to enter a password. e.g. On your miner setup page, use something like this: +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Pool1: | stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 | +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Worker: | Kano.worker | +--------------------+-------------------------------------+ + Password: | x + +--------------------+-------------------------------------+
Of course replace 'Kano.worker' with your pool username.worker If you have network issues using port 3333, you can also try: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:80You can also try any of: stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:81 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:443 stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:8080There are other nodes located around the world that you may be closer to: stratum+tcp://nya.kano.is:3333 (NewYork) stratum+tcp://nl.kano.is:3333 (Netherlands) stratum+tcp://de.kano.is:3333 (Germany) stratum+tcp://jp.kano.is:3333 (Japan) As with the main stratum node, each of those nodes allows mining to port 3333, 80, 81, 443 and 8080

You could try pinging them from your location and see which one has the lowest latency.

My idea would be to target the millions of workers on Antpool that just aren't taking the time to realize there are other options. So many people I'm sure, just leave their rigs on Antpool because it's bitmain. Bitmain pushes the pool on their site, so I don't see why we couldn't take out some ad space somewhere. I'll chip in on the first run at Minergain if he's open to posting it. But imagine if a graphic were posted on some of these difficulty sites where people track it, or on the bitcoin news sites, any exposure is better than none IF and only if your goal is to bring more people in. Get people talking.
Minergain let me know what some ad space would run on your page and we'll work something out. Again, I know this isn't the fix for what some would argue isn't even broken. I'm happy here at Kano or else I wouldn't be here like many of you. I enjoy the community, even though we argue, we don't see eye to eye, and everyone has their own opinion. But what I can suggest is, if I'm helping a newb anywhere on Bitcointalk in some other random thread and have a signature banner etc. pointing them to Kano, where I mine, they may just ask about it. They might finally google PPLNS and realize there are other options. Who knows, but it's worth a shot. I'm simply trying to bring ideas to life. Someone here said we needed graphics.
I also have no qualms with the site, which is why two of the graphics have a strikingly similar color style to them from the kano site. *tip of the hat* It won't look weird if they saw the graphic color scheme first, it would all tie together.
Finally back from vacation - although not totally caught up yet. I have not thought about ad revenue at all for the site, that may be a viable way to pay for my time in the future. It certainly is not worth a lot right now since the traffic is only about 50 unique visits per day. Since helping Kano grow was my initial intent for the site, I would love to put something on the site for two months for free and see where it goes from there. Also on a side note, some of you may have noticed the last kano block did not get sent out. I broke the immediate text alerts for a block before I left on vacation (trying to give a lot more details for the alert). I should have that fixed today though. Sorry for the inconvenience on that. So if someone can pm me with thoughts on a banner ad (and even better would be a completed one), I will get something up there.

I think you cheat, yes! Did you do it again? why you use Week CDT instead of Month CDT for slush? Week CDT has latest difficulty... uhmmm Name Payout Hash Rate Network % Users Block (d:h:m) Week CDT Month CDT Quarter CDT Year CDT Web KanoPool PPLNS 49.16PH/s 0.19% of 25.27EH/s 1,439 509209 (7:17:11) 0.00000000 0.00002591 0.00014308 0.00035475 kano.is SlushPool Hybrid PPS 2.39EH/s 9.47% of 25.27EH/s 18,452 510427 (02:04) 0.00008985 0.00009807 0.00015120 0.00033502 slushpool.com
month CDT slush vs kano -> 0.00009807 vs 0.00002591 Not eighter a real photo of what has happent in January/February, but, at my oppinion closer than your maths... I noticed this morning that my CDT was off for the last block. I tried to auto-fill the Kano effective hash rate with the number of shares submitted and obviously botched it up. I am 99% sure it is right once anyone uploads their Kano rewards page because that directly has all the data that is needed to compute the CDT. I uploaded mine a few minutes ago so should be right soon. This will eventually all get worked out, just a huge amount of math to keep track of.

Help:
Just switched phones - copied everything over to the new Android - FreeOTP included... However, my Kano (and all other) 2FA tokens did not.
I have my API QR & Key - anyway to reclaim or reset my 2FA.
Copied ALL of the phone's Android files onto Hard disk, but did not specifically back-up FreeOTP.
Anyone have any thoughts?
The easiest fix, if you still have the old phone, is to disable 2FA with the old phone, then setup 2FA on the new phone. If you have the secret key (as the web page tells you to save it) you can setup 2FA on the new phone either by: 1) Re-scanning the copied QRCode if you saved it that way or 2) To manually set it all up - tap on the key+ symbol at the top, then: enter Kano for the first field (it doesn't affect the 2FA number) enter your username for the 2nd field (it doesn't affect the 2FA number) you have to type in the long saved secret key in the "Secret" field the rest of the fields, you only need to change "Algorithm" to SHA256 those fields should be: Type: TOTP, Digits: 6, Algorithm: SHA256, Interval: 30 then tap on "Add"

Am I the only one that got no notification from both the ckpool status app AND minergain? I'm glad we got a block, and I'm all for surprises but holy shit I need at least one of the two to go off Sorry again for missing the boat on that. I am working to show block values and hopefully CDT and botched the whole process just before I flew out on vacation. I'll get it working today...

Could be a plethora of issues as you'll find on many pages throughout. Depends on what equipment you have first of all. I'm assuming you have maybe 2 S7's or something? If you have an asic it could be your controller, hash boards, power supply, cables, fan, heat, etc. Would definitely need more info than that if you're looking to get any sort of a solid direction.

Hi All,
I apologize in advance for a newbie question. As I understand, BTC transaction fee depends on the amount of data in the transaction. If one has many smaller incoming transactions, and then wants to send some (greater) amount of BTC to a new address, transaction fee may become quite high. On the other hand, the less incoming transactions are there, the "cheaper" it will be to send money elsewhere later on. Is that correct?
If so, is there a way to set a minimum payout threshold on this pool? I read somewhere this feature was still in the "to-do" list of Kano. So I wonder if it was implemented at some point, or maybe there's some other way to do it? I just want to minimize transaction fees for payments I will make in the future.

Setting a withdraw amount hasn't been implemented yet. What some do, is mine to a coinbase or cex.io wallet.

(Or Workers->Shifts to see just the numbers) Most likely a miner problem - maybe needs a restart? If there's a section of zero on the Shift Graph then most likely an internet problem.

... and quite unexpectedly, the payout was confirmed only a few minutes after I sent it out. Seems there's a lot space in the blocks at the moment, so low fee consolidation would be ideal to do now if anyone needs to.
