btc.com can only get the pools hash rate by the amount of blocks it solves.

You're seeing luck in action.

We're solving blocks as if we were 170 PH Wink

The ramp is much smaller now, so you'll get your full rewards faster!

The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 118.00PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 7days 9hrs.

Hi!
I’ve been reading this forum since last year and it’s seems like there’s quite the community here at Kano. I’ve been mining on Kano for a while as of fairly recently and spent my first few months as a miner on Kano as well. Its awesome to see how the pool has grown as of late and seems to be producing very promising results at this rate. If it wasn’t for the tremendous support offered in this forum by Kano along with all the members/miners and all the credible information that’s given I don’t think that growth would have been possible . All of the tutorials and in-depth analysis I find here have been absolutly crucial in my comprehension of Bitcoin and mining in general . I’ve wanted to say thanks soooo many times to so many members that provided fruitful information on numerous occasions ... here’s the catch

Why did I have to pay a “ ransom “ to post here as my IP address or something was flagged?
After months of debate I finally broke down today and paid it ...
0.00000463 btc or something like that , rounded upto 0.0001 as CB would not send less..

Now I can Post  Huh Huh

Is this normal ?

Also

12 x 741s on Kano
Another 6 pack just waiting on power..

So what’s this I hear about chicken?🤑
Mine On !! BTC

That's part of what makes this pool so cool for a small pool!  U guys have a positive spin on all things!  I'm all in @25th/s and I got another machine on the way.  I'm not ever going to be an industrial scale miner...it's a hobby 4 me, but that doesn't mean I don't care about where my hash is spent, or whether my mining plan is viable.  like most noobs I had to start out in the pools that are easy for noobs.  I'm ready to move up to something better!

@651Hashplant...I was banned too...this isn't my original username.  my ransom was higher and my hashrate is lower.  so don't complain too loud?

It was on this forum
It said I was unable to post in red and a link to the right said click to enable posting . It brought me to another forum page and said something along the lines of my IP address has previously been used for evil on the forum and that I needed to send 0.00000463btc to some address to enable posting .. I can’t post pics but I took a screenshot .
I had never seen anything like it on any forum .
I know I sent a pic to akadamson a while back too . I’ll try and dig it up

guys i have 192ms latency with kano.is, does it affect the miners?
Try pinging the list in the first post: nya.kano.is de.kano.is jp.kano.is nl.kano.is
192ms is pretty high - but it depends on where you are if you can get better.
Also of course, you don't actually ping kano.is - but rather stratum.kano.is Smiley

Thanks so de.kano.is and nl.kano.is when I ping them I am at 53 to 54 ms latency, so what do I change to stratum+tcp://stratum.kano.is:3333 as username at the miner, I know I am a freaking noob, where does the (de) go?

@rifleman74...we will be "off topic" if we continue to discuss that...SIR.  Suffice to say that 651Hashplant and myself have been banned from this forum and forced to pay a teeny ransom to restore our posting ability.  to get back on topic I will say that KANO POOL ROCKS!!!!

On your miner setup page, use something like this:
Code:

+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Pool1:             | stratum+tcp://de.kano.is:3333  |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Worker:            | Kano.worker                         |
+--------------------+-------------------------------------+
+ Password:          | x                                   +

Hey guys, switched over from Slush as well. Was wondering if there is possibly a Kano phone app in the works to check in on active miners and to keep checking for those fat blocks.

By the way, Lovin' the community and the pool you guys are awesome  Grin

Hey man! First of all, many thanks! I joined the list last Sunday with 228ish TH

How much did your machine crush the difficulty by?

When I saw my best share number I nearly fainted.

Thanks again! Feels great to own a block right?!?

Thoughts on this pool and ckpool? Just switched all my ckpool miners over, gonna give kano a try. Was on ck for 7-8 days, no luck on a block :/. 0% fee for them and kano is .9% I believe, any other huge differences I need to know of? Bringing over 165TH/s for now.

Major difference is:

ckpool - SPLNS vs kanopool - PPLNS

SPLNS has the characteristic of larger miners subsidizing lucky small miners (shares are not created equal)

PPLNS delays payout for each share across 5Nd: each share you submit will - on average - payout 100% across 5Nd; more if pool is lucky for 5Nd and finds more than 5 blocks, less if pool is unlucky and finds less than 5 blocks.

ok, same thing here. I've been thinking about Kano for a while, and just made an account to point one of my S9's there. See what it does compred to others.
Past month i was a Nicehashér, so i have a good idea of the average revenue.
If Kana is better indeed, i'll point my small farm towards it Smiley

we'll see.

A lot of love is going to Kano as i read here. (not all 1925 pages read though, sorry... Smiley )
