ok, same thing here. I've been thinking about Kano for a while, and just made an account to point one of my S9's there. See what it does compred to others. Past month i was a Nicehashér, so i have a good idea of the average revenue. If Kana is better indeed, i'll point my small farm towards it we'll see. A lot of love is going to Kano as i read here. (not all 1925 pages read though, sorry... ) I pointed my first S9 for a few days to Nicehash last year, then moved it to Kano. What Nicehash thinks is "average" revenue is really ... bad. Even Nicehash will tell you that: https://www.nicehash.com/algorithm/sha256 Click on 30 days - Nicehash say 0.0741 BTC/PH/day Looking at the same 30 days for Kano pool (courtesy of https://www.minergain.com/): 0.11977 BTC/PH/day for the month (multiplied by 1000 to convert TH to PH) In short - you would have made 60% more on Kano than you did on Nicehash. NOTE: Of course, historical performance is no indication of future performance - but the rate Nicehash is paying is a joke.

But what does Kano payout actually in average per TH or 13 th (if you make it by s9)? I have about 1000 th/s to move (sha256/bitcoin), but not sure if its worth to.

You also forgot about the interest that takes nicehash for sending funds to their users' accounts

ouch.... if thats true... OUCH!
I used ti mine at nicehash, and transfer balance every sunday to my hw wallet. Thats the way i calculated. For 10x S9, month march, revenue was 0.36Btc
We'll see.
ps.: Maybe a stupid question, but would it average get a higher profit if i point more S9's to Kano? (devided by the amount of S9's naturally...)

Thank you, will point 10 of my S9 to kano as well to test. Wondering about the same, maybe its better to move the whole hashrate to kano?

Of course, the more hashpower you point to Kano, the more profit you will get! Just make sure you're familiar with the PPLNS (your shares are rewarded over 5Nd, which is about 7 days at the current pool hashrate). So don't expect very high payouts at the beginning. According to minergain, the month CDT (coins per day per 1TH) is 0.00011977. This number is pretty close to my own calculations for March, so I believe the figure is quite precise. So it's easy to estimate what you could have earned if you mined with Kano throughout March. There's no prediction of future earnings though (and there cannot be).

Thoughts on this pool and ckpool? Just switched all my ckpool miners over, gonna give kano a try. Was on ck for 7-8 days, no luck on a block :/. 0% fee for them and kano is .9% I believe, any other huge differences I need to know of? Bringing over 165TH/s for now.
Major difference is: ckpool - SPLNS vs kanopool - PPLNS SPLNS has the characteristic of larger miners subsidizing lucky small miners (shares are not created equal) PPLNS delays payout for each share across 5Nd: each share you submit will - on average - payout 100% across 5Nd; more if pool is lucky for 5Nd and finds more than 5 blocks, less if pool is unlucky and finds less than 5 blocks. Also, both are 5Nd. Our 5Nd is currently around 8 days ... theirs is ... stretching off to the horizon However, also, there's the issue that until a pool gets big enough, you are losing a lot to diff changes. Of course there's nothing to be done about that ... except make the pool bigger ... which we've been doing well since the drop last year Twice we've dropped due to poor luck, and made a recovery - unfortunately there's nothing to be done about the luck though. It goes up and down - that's the nature of the beast. Looking at the long term statistics, we're pretty much right on target though. February's numbers (or worse) are actually expected, on average, about once every 500 blocks, which is what the CDF[Erl] value says. But the effect is obviously greater when the pool is only around 50PH (or worse if it's smaller) But we must continue to grow, and people keep joining so that's working well

Hey guys, switched over from Slush as well. Was wondering if there is possibly a Kano phone app in the works to check in on active miners and to keep checking for those fat blocks. By the way, Lovin' the community and the pool you guys are awesome BTCliterally the best community of any pool out there.

Was thinking about this question and the calculating of my monthly profit. (CDT=Coin per Day per Th/s.) Month CDT 0.00011977.
0.00011977 x Your th/s speed x 30 days (april month) = My profit? Or am i wrong?
You cannot use last month's CDT to calculate future payouts. It all greatly depends on network difficulty and luck, and some other factors. Usually (as I see it), the CDT gets lower each month as network difficulty increases. Look at the year CDT shown at minergain - it's almost 3 times higher than the CDT for March, and March itself was a very good month talking about luck and corresponding rewards!

Really more than anything it's the positive attitude of the admin and rank members here that make this pool what it is. You folks do a great job of patiently bringing the noobs like me up to speed on these things. regardless of luck and diff I feel this pool is a good place for my hashpower!
Mine on!

Other pools charge higher fees (some don't even pass along the transaction fees to their miners) as the cost of getting more frequent payouts.

Other pools charge higher fees (some don't even pass along the transaction fees to their miners) as the cost of getting more frequent payouts. Good news is with our higher hashrate, expectation is one payout every 2 days now But what does Kano payout actually in average per TH or 13 th (if you make it by s9)? I have about 1000 th/s to move (sha256/bitcoin), but not sure if its worth to.

I made 0.3BTC at Kano in the last 2 weeks of March my ramp was from ~50TH in mid march and hit 137TH for the last 3 or 4 blocks in March. Our luck was extremely good the past 2 weeks, with the pool hashrate increasing rapidly. After leaving in February with only 2 miners left at Kano, the other 8 were pointed at Slush - I figured with Slush a lot of Hash never gets rewarded as the Slush ramp is ~1.5 Hours. Never looking back from here.
