Oh yeah one more thing a few people have asked this

There are some orders in the system that say confirmed even though they were not paid for, right now with our current website and the Bitpay API - it marks the order as confirmed even if you do not pay for it within the 15 min window you have to pay. But do not worry no one is going to be getting any free units.

I will be going through the entire database and comparing every order with the invoices from both my payment processors - they have complete records of every payment - so every order that does not have a corresponding payment will be deleted.

We will also be comparing orders against the payment processors invoices when it comes time to ship them as well to make sure everyone get's their order and no one gets a freebies Tongue sorry!

anyways I really have to go now

catch me on phone

Hey Tom, i remember you mentioning informally that you may start shipping the week after thanksgiving. Is this still the case? I'm thinking not since the website is saying December. Thanks.

I am not sure where this got confused. The tentative ship date is actually the first week in December. but its possible I said the week after thanksgiving because the week after thanksgiving and the first week in December are the same week Tongue

"Week after Thanksgiving" -> That's a little over a month away!
"First week in December" -> WTF that's 2 months away!

My card keeps getting declined from the BTCFPGA website. Is it because Tom is switching to the new site or is it something else?

I know my bank actually had a block on the entire all of new york because of the high number of fraud claims, they said they only release funds if the client calls first and has to give them the exact amount and the exact company that will be charging the card, and only lets that through.  After the charge it goes back to blocking all of new york again.

Geez.  FIA kept blocking newegg by default for me like that.  I got a different card, problem solved.

Edit: I'm also trying to bump up my order before the deadline, from a 27 to a 54.  Hope I can do it in time.

Yeah, if I can't get it by midnight I may have to just make a new order for the 54 and deal with having an "extra" 27.

Geez.  FIA kept blocking newegg by default for me like that.  I got a different card, problem solved.

mine is attached to my account, a different card would not matter for my situation unfortunately.  But it really just took a 5 min phone call to my bank and they just stayed on the phone while I put the order in.  Once they saw it pop up, they cleared it, then locked it again.  So it worked out but until I called them, I was sitting around for 2 weeks trying my card every couple days thinking it was problems outside of my bank!

Since this was not a frequent purchase, it is not a big deal to me.  But if they blocked something like newegg in general or amazon, I'd be looking for a new place lol

I just hope my purchase was recorded properly as I'd like my bASIC order shipped before the end of the year lol

Tom,

Week after Thanksgiving is not the first week of December. Thanksgiving is early this year 11/22.

You might want to clarify this to avoid another troll fest.

Even one week is crucial on these units.

"The tentative ship date is actually the first week in December" is not clear enough ?

It's unclear to the extent that it conflicts with previous information. Cheesy The week after Thanksgiving and the first week of December are not the same thing, though the difference is admittedly small.

So you think there is a possibility that Tom could have made an interpretation error by specifying "the first week of december" and that by extraordinaire it is possible that the effective shipping date would be a week earlier because he actually made another mistake in specifying the date of thanksgiving ?

Or ... the Okham's razor says that he probably knows when the first week of december is.

Perhaps you're confused due to the fact that you quoted only a part of a post. Here lemme help you...

I am not sure where this got confused. The tentative ship date is actually the first week in December. but its possible I said the week after thanksgiving because the week after thanksgiving and the first week in December are the same week Tongue

If you *STILL* cannot see how this minor error(BOLDED TO HELP YOU) has the potential to lead to confusion...then I don't know what I can do to assist you.

Anyone else having issues logging into BTCFPGA website? I made an account today, placed an order this morning, and everything was working fine. Went to look under my account, and I get an error clicking on the order status link within the email sent to me this morning. Try to login directly to the website, and says no account exists.
