I requested a refund on 2/5 units.  Bitmain was trying to charge me about 2 BTC for shipping 5 units.

So ~.4 BTC each.  Awaiting refund on 2 units.

That is bullshit.
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

I've talked to Bitmain about the 28nm chip since December of 2013.   These new AntMiner S4 units should really kick ass.   I estimate 1380-1400 watts at the wall for 2000 gh/s.
Heat should also be significantly less.

The .5watts/ghs is per chip, not at the wall.

Didnt you idiot just post this BS yesterday?

I wish they dont refund shit, they love idiots like you. I bet you were gonna find suckers to buy these S4s off your hands right?

You can't even write English correctly.  Lastly, it also appears you haven't even read who I am.  So really it appears you are the fucking idiot.

Why are you so mad? LOL just pay Bitmain already. I mean S4 is awesome right?

FYI, i'm laughing at your ass, idiot.

Let me clear this up:

Myself and my customers were charged shipping fees after we already paid for S4 units up front.
We didn't find out about the average shipping charges  of 0.4 btc / $190 per unit until I received an email from Bitmain today.
Its in my best interest to advocate for my customers as ultimately its about doing good business.
EDIT:  Bitmain and I have resolved our issues.  Bitmain usually always makes things right.  Thank You.

price? Is S2 part of the larger assembly process and thus more reasonably priced? I can't honestly pay anything over 3BTC shipped if it uses 1400W

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

They don't make the S2 anymore. Did you mean B2 as in batch 2?

I'll be among the first to say it.

Will. Never. ROI.

Quote
cou·ple
1. Two items of the same kind; a pair.
2. Something that joins or connects two things together; a link.
3. (used with a sing. or pl. verb)
a. Two people united, as by betrothal or marriage.
b. Two people together.
4. Informal A few; several: a couple of days.
5. Physics A pair of forces of equal magnitude acting in parallel but opposite directions, capable of causing rotation but not translation.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/couple

I like the design, the PSU and I think it can be OC'ed. If you don't count the energy costs in, you can get positive ROI in a couple of months.

A "couple"? Two? No chance of that. Here's an optimistic calc with 10% and lower difficulty increases.

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=34661425924&dcosts=1450&diff_mincrease=10&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=2000000&diff_mincreasedecrease=3&btcusd=413.24&dpowcon=1200&btcusd_mincrease=0&pcost=0&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc

Break even in about 8 months if you have free energy and have 100% uptime. If you pay for energy you never break even.

Diff. won't continue to rise as it does.

ROFLMAO. That's what everyone said a year ago.

WANTED: Active dev to fix & re-write p2pool in C

These new AntMiner S4 units should really kick ass.

It would be helpful if Bitmain actually answered some of the many questions that prospective buyers have asked, instead of just guessing that they "should" kick ass. For example:

Are they still using the old cgminer version? If so, why?

Where is a link to the firmware?

Are these compatible with p2pool?

Plus the many others on this thread. Bitmain are selectively answering only a few of their customers questions whenever they log on, but ignoring most of them.

Come on Bitmain - let's have some answers & support please!!

Bitmain - instead of logging on to announce another batch sale then logging off again, how about answering some questions? I don't want to buy something not knowing if it will work with p2pool or not, or weather it's running old, security vulnerable software or not.

Why don't you answer any questions!!??

With shipping (at least to the US) we're looking at 3.18 BTC, which still equals a negative ROI unless difficulty breaks it's trend.

Bitmain Definitely Listened this time, IMHO....

Wish it could be a bit cheaper but

S4: 2000GH @ about $1420 (Shipping Included + 1400W PSU)  $0.71/GH
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SP20: 1700GH @ $1309 (Pre-Order Shipping Included)  $0.77/GH  WITHOUT PSU
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AM Prisma: Price varies & Does not come with PSU

And if Batch 1 customer wants to buy B2, they will receive $50 discount coupon,
so it will be $1370 ($0.685/GH with PSU & Shipping INCLUDED)

Also, the cusotmer who has not yet used $200 coupons from S2 purchase history,
that is another $200 discount on top of $1250 price.  ($0.61/GH)

Another Benefit to "NOTE" for Bitmain Antminer Products...  If you are in North American Region, RMA is handled within USA, if you are in EU, RMA is serviced from either UK so no double tax.

Russia & Former Soviet Union Countries...  Buy these at your own risk, as your customs may not like these miners.  Cry

1250 it is... go go go Smiley

Hi,

Latest version of Cgminer has been uploaded to https://github.com/bitmaintech/cgminer, which supports S2 and S3. Our R&D team is testing the latest firmware, we will upload it to our official website once it is ready.
