Approach $94 and receive the smack down.

It does seem that $94 hold some sort of significance for bears.  Looking at the building pressure below 90 it looks like 94 will fall sooner than later though.

Mm, gox lag picking up. Prelude to...something? Hamsters switching shifts?

Oh, so MtGox did upgrade from one hamster then? That should improve things at least a little bit.

Yes, but they are being forced to work 12 hour shifts with no food and no bathroom breaks due to lack of funding. Please help the poor hamsters and donate today.

This is just the old "bash against [psychological barrier -6%] a few times, then shoot over it" pattern.

100 - 6% = 94
50 - 6% = 47
32 - 6% = ~30
20 - 6% = ~19

Even 1 - 6% = 0.94 (back in August 2012)

I heard this happen, I had to tab over and see it. So very interesting to see a graphical representation of the network when something like this happens.

The ltc rocket has blasted to well over one usd. I think btc is about to do the same.

I see what you did there.

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Also notice the top chart has a 5 year history now linking to this:

Also a top-right link "stahp" which leads to a Rick Rolled video on Youtube.

Of course the ever-so-succinct "WTF" spits out a great image too Wink

Oh Loaded, who art up in Mt. Gox, hallowed be thy name!  Thy dollars rain, thy will be done, on BTCUSD.  Give us this day our daily 10% 30%, and forgive the bears, as we have bought their bitcoins.  And lead us into quadruple digits

In a Japanese morning when most of the big buyers are supposed to be on vacation or asleep, in a matter of about 2 hours the 30K BTCs wall to $100 was reduced by more than 1/3, yet not even a single large order of more than 500 BTCs was needed in the whole process, are you counting on the bears to hold their positions? I will not.
