Right?! Everytime I look at this chart I realize that we are in totally uncharted territory and get all giddy.

I might sell in bitcoin.de once I have finished the most urgent purchases first Smiley
Sell means "sell". Maybe I will start doing it in a distant future, after my core position is established.

What's your core position? A bitcoin overlord?

Take a close look at the screen name..   Its obvious this is just the online presence of the Reptilian Overlords that have been guiding humanity for the past 1000 years.  They've just finally decided Bitcoin would be a nice tool to further enslave the majority of the human population that is still asleep/believing in FIAT.

Sigg

Heh, nice.  Anagram for rpietila = reptilia.

And to think I was fooled by the whole "I'm from Finland" ruse.  Well, I for one, welcome our new reptilian overlords, and their program of peace and prosperity for all who humbly submit to their superior elliptic curve encryption algorithms....  Cheesy

Bitcoin was just featured on German News Site "Spiegel Online"'s front page. That's very big in Germany. http://www.spiegel.de/netzwelt/netzpolitik/virtuelle-waehrung-bitcoin-auf-rekordhoch-a-891169.html

The climb to $100 continues!

Looks like North Americans are waking up and realizing they're being left behind (because they didn't buy on Monday/Tuesday like they should have).

I still believe the main driver for the recent price increase is the attention Bitcoin got in German papers a couple of weeks ago. It takes a few weeks for people to get their heads wrapped around it, then buy some, so the timing matches up. Also, look at the premium on most Euro markets.

Let's put ourselves in the shoes of a newbie.  So excited to get some bitcoins!  I'll move 4000 to Mt Gox to buy 100 coins!!!  Then the big wait... finally the money is there and I can buy WHAT ONLY 45 coins?!??

Sh*t... but look, there was recently flash crash and recovery down to the mid 50s.  I guess I'll try to catch that this weekend.

tl;dr; its gonna take time for the new money to screw its head around the new prices...

I think this singlehandedly explains the gaping maw that is the bid-ask gap.

I have never seen anything like this before, Is there any end to this growth? When will we hit 1 million per bitcoin? I am ready to retire. Grin

as long as there is a steady influx of people/money still willing to buy at increased prices
