Thanks truckin, well that's relativity good news "BOP - in prolonged transit" appears to a a real thing and fairly common. As suggested he's in between facilities and still holed up in county or other for now. According to prison talk chatter out there people can be stuck in this position for up to 7 weeks from sentencing. The even better news is that Homero's actual sentence does not start until his safely locked up and registered in a Federal facility. He can remain in limbo in a country lock up, or some sort transition house for however long and it does not count as part of his sentence. Federal Crime, Federal sentencing, Federal prison time. Clock only starts ticking once actually incarcerated in the Federal jail. Absolutely must make it even more trying for the loser. Apparently its a huge big deal for others that their pathetic loved ones are suffering so unnecessarily boo hoo Let's wait another month and hope his foul rotten name finally shows up where it belongs... http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=579927I called the inmate locator number and the guy told me that "not in BOP custody" means that he's in BOP custody, but under the control of the Marshall's service. He said I could call them to find specifics, but I didn't. He told me that they move them in groups from contract jails so he could be anywhere.

Great news that he's being shuffled from one jail pit to another instead of ticking off days playing mini golf. Here's an oddly timed piece: (5 months later) Cryptocurrency Fraudster Sentenced Good to know that our F B I is totally on top of this, LOL.

I spoke to Munster the FBI investigator when I registered for the victims list. This is the first article where I have seen him interviewed. He was just your typical douche bag cop. I mentioned the real kingpin in all of this was Stuart Fraser. He acted like he had never heard of him and didn't have much to say, but I'm sure he isn't as dumb as he played with me on the phone.

Sucks for his kids. They're getting older and daddy is in prison.
Not only that, but long after he gets out...they will still get to read about his criminal shenanigans forever archived on the intertoobz, just by googling Homero Garza . Thats one big giant internet footprint I'll say....

It was mostly Shinners that ensured his conviction. Strange we don't hear much from the guy. He was the only one in court I believe also.

People will continue to do these crimes because off the lenient sentencing. Serving a few years isn't an issue when you get millions of dollars from actions. The risk vs reward is worth it because white collar crime just doesn't get punished.

I was going to go, but they changed the hearing from 2 pm to 10 am and I couldn't get there in time. FBI did not hustle victim witnesses as I would have expected. Lame. Stupid system all around!

I still stand firmly and say that he probably has a bitcoin wallet stashed somewhere. Anyone in his family could do local bitcoins and cash that secret wallet out for cash. How is he starting a new business without the support of Uncle Stu?

I'm still surprised he got away with just 21 months. I'm sure he will make a nice companion for a burly man bear in prison. Does anyone know if the coinage he stole was ever recovered? He could have a hefty sum of Bitcoin stashed waiting for him when he gets out. I hope not. If so though.. maybe we could track it down and send some tips in.

Homero couldn't even send paycoin. Anything he tried to hide was stolen by his buddies. We'll never know which one.

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/20-million-scammer-begins-prison-term-jane-kreisman/Curious to know what his new venture is that the judge was convinced that it would in anyway enable Garza to pay back and make restitutions... I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that when he comes out, any venture he gets near will go the same way as all those previous..... And you thought Marvel were good at long story Arcs... Viz

21 months, what a fucking joke. No wonder fucking scum sucking scammers keep at it, a million a month even if you get busted is pretty good.

BOP inmate locator still says Homero is not in custody but I'm just gonna assume he's being punted around various facilities and not settled in yet. Which is probably great, meeting new people and all...

Its down tonight, but after clicking around on their not very intuitive website I got the same information that I got off the victims website that he is indeed in transit. Its one of the links after you click on his name.
