Well, another BFL power supply bites the dust. I got home from work and it looks like it died just before I got home - maybe 15 minutes before.. Anyway, I threw in another power supply I had ordered to have on hand in case.. and the single is back up!

So it looks like of the 5 singles, only 3 are currently online. 1 is waiting for a replacement PSU and the other hasn't been able to successfully get on the pool yet. Hopefully all of these issues stabilize in the near future.

I'm just glad it didn't burst into flames like that one did! I don't have fire suppression! (Though I made sure there isn't much fuel near it - nothing to burn up = hopefully just the power supply dying!

I think I'll order another power supply to have on hand again.. Besides, I have a couple boxes that I want to build for my home network anyway.. Cheesy

One melted down my Thermaltake PSU I had it one.
Could be worse they will be a nice addition in the winter if we get the 40 below temps again. Grin

Mine died too and luckily it didn't burn up, just faded away a little more than 24hrs after as it was situated where I wanted it. I'll pick up a psu and have it running tomorrow as today was a holiday.

I placed mine on a metal plate, pretty standalone, just in case it would catch fire there is not much wood or stuff to burn.

lol - I hear that! I don't have central air but have window units in almost every room. The day I got this guy I had to start running my unit in that room!

I had both the single and the psu sitting on bricks just in case. The basement is naturally quite cool even in the summertime and the temps were <60*C on the single with the psu being only slightly warm to the touch.

Back up and running with the single. I got a decent quality PSU so hopefully it will hold up well for us.

Cool. Me, well, once again I returned home from work to find out it wasn't hashing. This time it wasn't the PSU, I wound up having to recycle the power though and now it's back up. Weird.

It would probably be a lot more stable if you ditch the easy miner app and used cgminer/bfgminer

Easy miner seems to work well and be quite stable. The psu was the only problem.
