Hi, what's going on with your sister coin zerovert? is it abandoned or are the devs working on improving it / bringing it over to lyra2re as originally proposed.

Please advise what the next steps are for zerovert as simple ignoring it doesn't boost confidence for vertcoin either as the devs are linked to both projects and the PR image of one will effect the other.

Thanks

ZeroVert is Bushido's project and has no real link to VTC besides its (ex)mergeminability. It is up to Bushido whether he wants to maintain it, the rest of the dev team have no control over such things.

James, thanks for making things a little clearer, is Bushido still an active dev in vertcoin though or has he completely left for zerovert / other projects.

He is still around, but no where near as active as he used to be. Adam has been the project leader for quite a while now.

Only just noticed the new development roadmap, for which I apologise.

To make it up, I wrote a small new article, which can be found here.

it is now a matter of implementation

Share some details please, otherwise it sounds like block reward will rely on exchange api/price.

As far as I understand; no demand and low price results in small blocks and vice versa. So, first I set my miners on VTC, then immediately buy the coins on exchanges, then block reward goes skyhigh, then I mine even more coins. Everyone wakes up and starts buying VTC, then I mine even more and then I sell all VTC for nice price.

How the hell coin can know that demand is low and price is low?

I have no idea, just joking a bit. BTW just bought 35k VTC on cryptsy, I think it's a good moment to buy.

I bought some too Tongue No idea what owner of these 2 buy/sell walls trying to achieve. Selling at this price is something I can't understand, it does not worth a time for setting up order. Everything up to 25 cents is bargain.

Some people just want the price to be low, when you see sell walls moving just to control the price.

The system of elasticity does NOT affect the block reward (ie. the subsidy). Nor does it directly impact anyone's wallet balance, as in, without their interaction. Sorry all, but the details are under wraps until we get closer to releasing. Trust me, I wish we could say more as it is very exciting, however, it is in our best interest to keep it on the DL.

Cheers,

Adam

If they can make it work the elastic distribution model in VTC will be the best thing since sliced bread.
Once again VTC shows great innovation.

Any rough estimation how long it will take until it works?

I guess, "elasticity" means change of block generation algorithm. Periodic block generation and meaningless calculations  are a trash for payment system. If block generation will depend of new transactions appearence - it will be really great.

One heck of a wall on cryptsy. Going to take a while to chew threw it...

Perhaps it will simply vanish when it's has been eaten into a bit.
