Hey Lickman, Post your clocks and your config file and we might be able to help you out. You will find that Scrypt is a very different beast than Bitcoin and that you need to retweak everything separately to get the best out of it. I have heard that for the 79xx cards the sweet spot is something like Engine clock = 0.7 x Memory Clock. You also need to up the intensity a lot compared to Bitcoin, maybe start around I = 13 and tweak your clocks, then push intensity up to the limit of your rigs stability. Check around the forums and see what settings other people are using.
Here are my clock settings under MSI afterburner: 7970 Radeon Core mV - 1169 Power limit - +20 Core Mhz - 1150 Memory - 1643 GUI Miner scrypt alpha Thread concurency - 21312 Vectors - 1 GPU threads - 1 Worksize - 256 Intensity - 13 Use stratum - yes net Khash's 545-565 ----------------------------- I aiming to get this up around 700 or 800 Khash's range, is there something I need to add to a configuration file somewhere, or an extra flag value I need?

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Burnside, I have lost access to my old email address. I can still log in tp the pool but forgot my PIN. Can you help?
Probably not. Without access to the email address I have no way to validate a PIN reset request. Probably best to just register a new account. Cheers.

Fair enough, could I at least get you to pay out the existing litecoins to the pre-set wallet? It was my first go at mining so it is a bit sentimental.

If there's already a wallet address set, I can withdraw whatever is there. Please PM me your account login and email address. Cheers.

Hey this may be an odd question, but is there a way for GUIminer running the CUDAminer for a GTX 660 TI to NOT run at 100% load?
I spent the better part of yesterday and today trying to get it to run and had hash rates ranging from low 20khash/sec to finally peaking at 170khash/sec. The thing is the GPU was always running 100% no matter what and it gets pretty hot.
I'm hesitant to let it run at full load for extended periods, so I was hoping there was a way to mine at a lower load, at the expense of a lower hash rate obviously.

Can anyone tell me, for cgminer, which "file" do I put these settings in? cgminer --auto-fan --auto-gpu --scrypt \ -o stratum+tcp://ltc-stratum.kattare.com:3333 \ -u YOUR_USERNAME.YOUR_WORKER_SUFFIX \ -p YOUR_WORKER_PASSWORD \ -I 11 -g 1 -w 256

You can create one by right clicking on your desktop and going to "new" and then "new file". Than youll wanna change the extenstion of the file to .bat - Ex. Newfile.txt => Newfile.bat Now right click on said file and click "edit" with notepad. Now youll wanna type in or paste in a line of code like this: C:\cgminer\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://ltc-stratum.kattare.com:3333 -u YOUR_USERNAME.YOUR_WORKER_SUFFIX -p YOUR_WORKER_PASSWORD -I 11 -g 1 -w 256 --auto-fan --auto-gpu Now save and double click it. you should throw a --thread-concurrency in there somewhere as well imo. With a number your card is happy with, google litecoin mining hardware comparison list to get ideas of your thread concurrency. Hope this helps, GL

Thanks, that's close to what I had. Problem is when I open cgiminer.exe it asks me for pool server, username and password again, and when I enter it in it just sits there for a few moments and then crashes. edit: I typed ltc-stratum.kattare.com:3333 in cgminer.exe when it asked for pool and it seems to be working edit: It says I am getting 550ish khases x2 but my dash on kattare.com says only getting 10 khs will need to play around with it. last edit: HA HA I got it going. Was starting from the cgminer.exe file. Am now starting directly fron the .bat file and it is working properly

I need to take the pushpool and stratum instances down for a bit here in a few minutes. I'm going to bump up the difficulty a bit to better match other pools.
Cheers.
Update: difficulty change complete, we're at 63 now.

the site has already down for more than a day, is it being attacked? Frustrating. The connector that relays the traffic from the DDoS provider to us died. :/ Ongoing mining was unaffected, but of course you wouldn't have been able to tell by looking at the site. Cheers.
