Yes that's what I meant....I saved it as Ambercoin.conf
As far as running anything as admin, the problem is that I downloaded the zip file for the new wallet from the Ambercoin site (named ambercoin-qt-win-v3.0.0.3) and when I open it I see 2 files
AmberCoin-qt.exe qrcodelib.dll
So I click AmberCoin-qt.exe and that's when I get the following message:
The program can't start because qrcodelib.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
This is so frustrating!!
Are you sure you have unpacked the files first before running them?

Sometimes the easiest explanation is the correct one I was double clicking Amber.exe in the unzipped folder. To fix it I selected the qt and dll file and unzipped them to the desktop and voila. thanks all for your help!! Big vote for btc incoming

for right now in the crypto world, the best coins is which coin that can survive and the way the Dev is fucking everyone with these ambercoin dividends I don't foresee Amber lasting long. What kind of company alienates such a huge percentage of their shareholders and survives? Not to mention completely ignores it's self-mandated business practices and changes dividends whenever it sees fit, not to mention delaying them.....

Guys, I am reading several last pages and see that most of you use a little bit short-sighted approach. For company I am small investor but most of you would call me a "whale". I see that you can't even understand why some of those whom you call whales chooses AMBER option. When the option to get paid in Amber was available I was in vacation So I missed that train. And now is the second chance. There is no chanse to get cheap shares from company. So there are only 2 sources left - miners and other shareholders. And both sell their shares on exchanges. To sell now is the best way to fix looses. But if you want to earn then my advice is to hold a little bit longer. Even if you don't want to stay a shareholder any more you'll at least gain some profit. I just have even more to say - I know a guy who has more than 100k shares but is not even a shareholder! He has bought them from exchange and holds them to sell when the price will rise enough. He doesn't care about dividends at all. And as far as I know he's going to sell them offline at price close to which company sells (now ~$0.10). I can be wrong but I think that future profit from increasing share's value will beat the profit from dividends. But in past dividends were sweet - I've invested $10k at the very beginning and ~$5.5k got back as Q1 and Q2 dividends. So I can understand those who votes for BTC. P.S. My ID is 14. And my vote is AMBER. I don't know if AMBER or BTC payout wins but I hope my post will help to understand another point of view. Of course you want more AMBER shares, you need to cover your $4500 losses. You will never sell your coins with current buy support - it would kill the coin. Even if you did by them directly from AMBER LTD, good luck getting your money when they need to borrow money to cover $72k in dividends:) Real investors will look at the long prospects of this "investment" and see that buy support and exchange price DO NOT line-up with the direct purchase timeline of AMBER LTD's share offering. I will say you are a gambler - $10k investment in AMBERTRADE LTD is not likely profitable. It would be nice if you posted your private communication with AmberTrade...my guess is they heavily influenced your vote.

That's not how it works. Dividends are/were a critical part of investing in this company/coin. When that changed, it's not a viable investment. AMBER payouts reduce the dividend by a factor of 3, and essentially lock everyone in for long strategy. There will be a substantial sell-off when the voting is done, if it goes AMBER like it appears to be. Personally, I'm going to buy back in because it will likely only be $75-100 USD or so for me to get to 10k AMBER again. Either way, I win - I take my AMBER profits from the initial sell-off and re-up at the same level with a little-big-horn swing. Foolish emotional investors.....

I like how MOST (not all but most) of the Amber dividend voters that post on here are newbie accounts with about the same level of English proficiency as the Dev.
While it's not entirely broken, there's just enough mistakes to make it obvious English is not their first language. I'm not saying anything but sock puppet accounts are a well known occurrence on these forums.......

Well Alpinist has been around since April of 2013... 22 months before amber coin started and 18 months before dev registered. So there's that wrinkle in these theories. Plus between you, me, and him... he's the only one who had visited a amber trade office and posted pics. His credibility is a tad above your opinion. Tangibility and whatnot. Maybe he is dev *new crazy theory* lol. I'm gonna enjoy 1¢ shares from someone, I can feel it.

He probably isn't I was just putting forth a theory because in the past few days MOST (again NOT all) of the loudest Ambercoin dividend supporters have been new accounts with no credibility no matter which way you look at it. Also as I stated I was merely positing a possibility. I have learned from my time in crypto NEVER get sucked into the herd mindset so I make it a point now to try and point out other possibilities. It's called playing the Devils Advocate.

Of corse you did vote for AMBER. You are voting for Q3 dividends, but registered an account here 10 days ago on Jan. 5, 2016. That is definitely because you do not care so much about the community and were just an investor. LOL. To the Amber dev and management: What you are doing here is offensive and you lost my confidence in this company.

Yeah, I don't give shit ONE about WHO posts a good or bad idea. Personally, I prefer polite insightful ideas that promote the discourse. The real issue here is not what language, nationality or account level - it's about content. If you're a cheerleader, fine - but your opinions will be treated as such. If you're a troll, ibid. Please consider asking tough questions with insight and data. I too, would love to see the coin drop to $.01 and then recover, keeping in mind there is no long-term prospect for this coin. As an investment, this coin will not survive if the ask/bid prices don't stabilize. A good investor knows you HAVE to take profits, that's how investing works, and why BTC or USD dividends are so attractive You can't just sit on your purchase and hope to cash-in at the end.
