I don't have a confirmation - can you post some kind of confirmed list or just reply to those emails that everything is ok or something like this.

Thank You

He doesn't want to hold the assets hostages and he doesn't plan to do so, but he needs to change the script so that all the people that paid back the double payment get their assets while the once that didn't pay it, don't get their assets.
Hence the only assets that will be held hostage is the once of the people that didn't pay back, the rest will get their assets. That's how I have understood the situation.
//DeaDTerra

1) Writing or changing his scripting does not take days or weeks.
2) Why use a script at all at this point? All payments could have been done by hand in a couple of days.
3) He doesn't know exactly who paid him what, because everyone had to pay to the same address.
4) No progress, no communication, no nothing. He is acting in bad faith, as many people have pointed out.

That's how I have understood the situation.
1 I have no idea, I am not a coder.
2 Indeed, though I am not sure of how many accounts exist or how heavy the work load is but at this point it's starting to get ridiculous and should probably just have been done by hand.
3 I am pretty sure that he could tell as the exact amount returned should be the exact amount sent.
4 Yea Sad He has been really bad at communicating.

He's just pointing out that the current situation is not less ridiculous. It's not fear mongering.

There may be reasons James is not sharing the information, but those reasons aren't what he is stating.

1) Writing or changing his scripting does not take days or weeks.
1 I have no idea, I am not a coder.

Everyone that has an idea knows that it doesn't, that should be enough. You can learn and then code it in COBOL in less than a day.

It's not at all uncertain that he has an ulterior motive. And that doesn't need to be malicious, it's just that we don't know what the motive is. It's much safer to assume he won't willingly share the data.

For the guys that are uncertain if their email is gone through to friedcat. You could simply enable in your emailprogram that you will get a DSN... that is you get an automatic email when your email reached the target server and you could request a MDN which is a mail that shows that friedcat has read your email. He probably has to answer a question if he wants to send out this confirmation but its probably the easiest way.

Both settings are set in your mailprogram in the actual emails settings. Im not sure if its possible with all public webmailers though.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

To open the email is 1 thing to confirm the shares is totally different Wink
I've just send him confirmation request.

But friedcat cant confirm your shares. This is only the backup plan in case nefario isnt giving out the asset infos. So when you get an email stating that friedcat has read your email then your claimed shares are known to him.

Few more words from Friedcat, on the previous page. Not sure if VeeMiner has seen it.

I made a loan request which may be interesting for people trying to get invested into ASICMINER:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=123743.msg1329795#msg1329795

It's mainly a loan request with ASICMINER as collateral. However, I'd also consider selling a few shares at the right price point.

I want to buy mere 13 shares of ASICMINER. If someone want to sell and have an idea how to get Friedcat blessing on the trade. Hit me.

Will take me a while to climb up again, But where is a will, there is a way...

AFAIK friedcat plans to setup a new way for automatically trading ASICMINER shares. At that point, small investments (<100) should be possible again.

Just a few days now until the claim process is over:

The collection of claims could not last forever. We would in principle stop collecting
claims on forum time 23:59:59, Nov. 18th. Any claims after that should come with
very solid proof.

I wonder how the chip is coming Smiley

Just a few days now until the claim process is over:

It might be a good idea to send confirmation e-mail to claimants a few days before the deadline. What if the e-mail was lost somewhere in the pipes? I wouldn't want to lose my shares because of a typo I made.

If you need confirmation just send a second email asking for it.

ref.

I don't have a confirmation - can you post some kind of confirmed list or just reply to those emails that everything is ok or something like this.

Thank You

Update

GLBSE

nefario still is not complying with requests for shareholder information and, independently, he may or may not be facing prison time for violating financial laws in the UK. Everyone wants his head on a stick, next to pirate's and zhoutong's.
Our newest knowledge tells us that the law-violating risk for him is not as critical as this. However, it is still true that we haven't got the
timeline for the shareholder information.

It'll next be ... I got a virus and it deleted my spread sheet/database/text file ...
If the subject is us, we have more backups: we have printed version of the spreadsheet and we are also keeping it on our mailbox. If it's GLBSE, while we also believe the probability is low, our collection of claims deals with exactly this kind of scenario.

It might be a good idea to send confirmation e-mail to claimants a few days before the deadline. What if the e-mail was lost somewhere in the pipes? I wouldn't want to lose my shares because of a typo I made.

Yes it is. We will send confirmation e-mail to claimants we haven't sent confirmation mails to.

Yes. Besides, larger investors could still choose to lock your shares in and let us manually maintain them if you don't trust the new platform.

The Project
The in-foundry production is still going on and the status shown from the foundry updates is active. As explained here before:

The foundry processes many orders that are magnitudes larger than that of ASICMINER or any other ASIC mining device projects. If companies at our size are allowed to fight dirty against each other within their production house, big players like cellphone microprocessor producers will make much more serious mess. So we don't think it's possible.

And also, as far as we know, there are no competitors using the same foundry as ours.

As far as we know, there are no conspiracy against our project from any competitors or interest groups. What we are experiencing is a busier pipeline from the production house.
