there was a whale pushing it down yesterday.  I watched the big buy order at 4.611 for 350+ shares go through almost all at once.  So, someone wanted to put the price back down closer to 4.5, yesterday.

Another big someone was buying a bunch a bit before, trying to hit 4.9.

So, it was just whales fucking.

There was a >600 bid wall which was finished by the above mentioned 350+ shares sell.

Edit: could also be someone with a huge stack of coins and shares who just wanted to sell and buy back lower. Wall set up to drive the price higher, sell into the wall, to induce a selloff. But half of it got eaten before.. hmm.. well. Wild speculation only, I guess.

I could see TAT selling shares OTC, then rebuying off the btctc passthrough and exporting them as direct shares, thus eventually draining the btctc passthrough of shares. Conspiracy?

+1. Also if TAT or anyone wants to buy up lots of shares on BTCTC, then he's welcome to do that. He'll only buy  ~ 100-200 before he pushes the price up over 5BTC apiece.

Yes.  Awhile ago a decent spread between buy and sell orders showed up and I was trying to place one on both to see if I could flip some stock.  I put the sell order up and then when putting my buy order up forgot to enter my 2FA key.  This caused the buy order value to default to the current sell value (mine) and I didn't notice, so I placed my buy order, and btct.co happily bought and sold my listing(s) out of my own shares for a small fee.

I like to think of it as tipping Burnside, rather than me being a dolt.  And I managed to actually pull off the flip after relisting careful, so still came out ahead.

I once made a fat finger mistake, put up a buy order and then put up a sell order but accidentally added an extra zero and sold to myself.

BitFunder also lets you buy your own asks, so it looks like the stock price is rising or not falling (even when there's tons of selling off into the bids).

BTC TC is pretty solid on these sort of "exploits."
