One year ago, a small group of individuals with a grand vision came together and collaborated their efforts. They shared their idea with the community, allowing others to join in the project to come. Within 6 months, they started the largest collective mine and are now considered one of the most (if not the most) successful Bitcoin companies.

Happy Birthday/Anniversary, BitFountain/ASICMiner! May you have many more.

Great timing with the announcement, a 50% jump in share price seems like a fitting anniversary present.

I should have bought ASICMINER shares earlier when I was pondering!

With all the new blade sales, I speculate the dividends on the coming weeks to be above 0.03 per share

Why has wtcr.ca already posted blades to their inventory at 14.99BTC?  Are these the new ones??

edit: Nope, they are the old ones.

I wonder if the new ones will have USB interface?

We still don't have hints of how big this batch is... My guess is that since it took a little extra to get out to us, and that the last few batches sold out quick, this batch will be HUGE.  I regret panic selling some shares at ~3.5 just in case Avalons announcement was something crazy, but it appears AM is still where it is at!

But who's going to buy old blades if the new blades come out one week after, without any current information about new product features and pricing?  Buying the old blades right now could be a huge gamble if it means I might miss out on something much better next week.
I bring this up because I'm a large customer.. this could turn other customers away as well

My understanding is the hashrate: price ratio is going to be nearly the same but the newer blades will be easier to work with.  We have some of the old style blades on order and of course will be ordering the new style ones as well as soon as they are available.

You are forgetting that old blades are overclockable while new ones aren't.

Yeah but I recall a rumour that the new ones might be USB (with its own power of course).  If this is the case, I will be ALL OVER that shit.

after ASIC shifts to 28nm, 22nm, 18nm...1nm, what else could be done ? how hard would it be to make hundreds asic cores like the GPU but only do hashing ?
