What do you guys guess per share dividends will total over the next year?

0.3 BTC. Don't hold me accountable in any way, though...

I should have gotten into Bitcoin back in 1992...

Wow, the buns are finally out of the oven, awesome.

So is it fair to suggest mass chip shipments would be about 40 days from now or somewhere around that?

Yeah! I'd guess fc ordered the batch on April 1st, after the initial tests were positive. I assume a batch takes 5 weeks (wild guesstimate), this would leave us at May 6th.

External tests on the gen 3 chips, done by the Wasp project's engineers, confirmed the power consumption of the chips to be at 0.33W per GH/s, which is en par with the initially advertised specifications.

EDIT: not yet tested!

These are just the specs, not tested yet.

Looking forward to the first empirical results!

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

If they were a POS that information would get out or even be intentionally leaked out before the samples went out. IMHO no one is going to go through the process of sending out chips just to be ridiculed that they are way off spec upon testing. Maybe if they over perform they might look at the dramatic effect of independent performance measurements coming back from the testers. At any rate I would think they are going operate close to design and not under perform by any significant margin given the circumstances and the way this is unfolding.

See the positive side: practical specs could be even better!  Grin

I'm surprised there was nothing announced yet... Pretty sure precise numbers are known by now.

Why is there just no movement on havelock? Wink

It doesn't help the exchange has been broken for several hours. Orders only go to pending status and don't show up in the book as active.

Thing is: Everyone speculating on AM in the past few months basically made a bet gen 3 will work. As of now, this assumption/hope seems to come true. Still, it is already priced in. Mostly everyone has decided on which side they're standing. For the current state, AM is pretty hefty overvalued for a high-risk unregulated company (<1%/year!!!) and the latest dividends were even non-existent.
The only thing moving the price will be another major update from Friedcat and finally a significant increase of dividends.

You're evaluating it on your assumption of dividends which are highly unpredictable IMHO and not looking at the long term prospects of owning the stock. For all we know FC may develop the worlds first profitable fusion reactor with his returns....

As we witness AM being reborn from the ashes, should the stock remain just as it did remain after Gen 1 returns dwindled down to nothing; I suspect the company through maturity will not be forced into this cycle and we will see Gen 3 as a launch point for a robust industry. The ability to continually shave the ice cube on ASIC performance given the economic environment of Bitcoin has become a factor. Having an efficient ASIC design which is cost effective to construct may now be a tipping point particularly in an environment where people have been educated regarding the pitfalls of pre-ordering to fund R&D on someone else's false dream.

Any argument can be made for the future of the stock. It's what people perceive as the future profitability of the company that is used to determine it's price.

Past performance is not a reflection of future performance.

Since havelock is broken, I'll sell 38 shares @ 0.7 each.  Anyone interested?

Those are PCBs for testing the board

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printed_circuit_board

Was thinking a bunch of wafers at first
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wafer_(electronics)

Either way it means good things when they weld them together to test out guess we will need to wait 2 days to see how it turns out
