Hey guys,

Hope everyone is ready for the fork.

Bad news regarding BTC-e. Any customers who have BTC-e as a leonArdo market please add another market of your choice for free.

Best wishes,

Hi leonArdo community!

I've just started the demo version and have already decided to buy based on reading many, many accolades here and witnessing the outstanding support provided by Dr. Jonathan Maycock and his team. It seems to me that leonArdo is a platform going places I want go.

I'm in the US and have some experience trading. During the dotCom bubble I traded a black box app called Indigo for two years. more recently I was a day trader for a year. I'm a hardware geek so I've mined Bitcoin and now Ether. My initial experience with the demo version is positive and, as usual, there are questions but for now only:

1. My goals are to trade in pairs with no fiat currency such as ETH/BTC, LTC/BTC, etc., and it might be handy to have a margin account at some point but I'm aware that Bitfinex does not extend margin to US residents. Is there an exchange currently supported by leonArdo that will make me happy?

Looking forward to live trading and being a part of this community.

Hi Chimaera,

Thanks for your kind words!

Okey Can someone please explain how this works because I can get the hold of it. This is the demo on bittrex. Why did it sell on loss when it wasnt even close to the stop loss? How should i set up my strategy I cannot find any good tutorial on the website and I'm a bot Cheesy

So looking again at your screenshot I realised that you re-started the bot just before it sold. If you re-start the bot then it takes the current statistics (we can't see what they were from your screenshot of course) and places its order. As your bot was set to start with sell, it did that! S

So it looks like the bot did exactly what it should do!

I hope that clears things up.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Why does my bot sell at the bottom of the BB band?

also can you show how much profit the bot made daily/hourly etc?

The bot doesn't care about Bollinger Bands!

Maybe just a coincidence?

Is there a roadmap for future developments? Any plans? What about more bots, using studies like MACD or EMA?

We are not publicly announcing our roadmap, but lots more bots are in the pipeline...

@OP

I wonder whether there is the possibility to allow swaping (by drag and drop) the position of the selected pairs (top left of the UI).
Sometimes, it happens to close one pair and when it is reopened, it will be at the end of the row...
Thanks,

Yes, this is something we will definitely introduce soon!

Best wishes,
Jonathan

hmm, if you hover the strategy history annotation (series of small lines at the top of the graph telling what the bot did) does it say that stop loss was triggered? I know, looking at the chart it shouldn't have been, but what does it say?

Could you grab the logs for this? You can find them in the hidden .leonArdo folder in your home directory. Please send the LTC/BTC one to me at contact@marginsoftware.de

Thanks!

Hi.

Im browsing for bot options, and I have probably silly questions about Leonardo.

Is it able to track current pair price, and adjust stop-loss limit sale order?

Let me explain.

On bittrex for example, you can secure yourself with stop-loss order based on price limit. So you bought 1btc for 2500usdt, and you see price is going up. Lets say, its 2700usdt now. You are setting stop-loss order with "equals or less than" price at 2690usdt, and sale price at 2650usdt. So in case of price drop to for example to 2000usdt for 1btc, you should not lose money, it should be sold for 2650usdt, before dropping to 2000usdt.
Thing is, this stop-loss order on bittrex is solid and set on one price & limit.

My questions is - can Leonardo adjust stop-loss limit and sale price, if there will be further rise on btc value/price?

Can it automatically cancel previous stop-loss order, and set it highier if btc price will go further up from 2700usdt?

Can stop loss order be set for example at less than 5% of current price, and automatically FOLLOW current price?

I Hope its clear enough... Smiley

I do not want to margin buy, I just want to buy once & secure gains by lifting stop loss automatically with price. Naturally, it will work only if Im expecting price to go up for some time. Thats why, stop loss should be only applied to price rise not price drop. If it will go down, last stop loss order will act, and thats it, full stop.

Btw you GUI is pretty good,  only thing I can moan about are too small icons. But its probably same for all short sighted mole people like me Smiley

Regards

So you just want it applied to an order. You would like a trailing stop order, right?

Right now that's possible using leonArdo on Bitfinex as their API supports it.

For the other exchanges we have to implement, or more precisely, emulate it. We have added stop-loss, both absolute and relative, to the mArgin maker bot already. It will be added to manual trading and the ping pong bot soon.

I hope that clears up the current state?

Thanks for your enquiry.

Best
Jonathan

Hi, thanks for reply.

I do believe that bittrex have stop-loss order option?
And Bitfinex have trailing-stop.

I was thinking that it could be done from bot-level, not api level - So it need to be emulated for bittrex...

Any idea about possible release date with those changes? months, next year, or sooner?

Regards

Yes, we currently have a bot level stop loss option (relative and absolute). The updates I wrote about will arrive over the next few months.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

No. That's not possible now I'm afraid.

We have plans to add that capability in the future though.

Thanks,

I want to suggest a feature
I believe which will be really useful and easy to implement.

When we right click there is a ruler
an option to the ruler for user to be able to see fibonacci levels while using the ruler.

or a new ruler set with fibonacci levels.

Best Regards

Noted.

Thanks for your input.

Jonathan

i like the sound of that one Wink

Well the new version is great Jon, so much more stable, and i like the additions and tweeks.
just wondering if C-cex is still one the cards ?  and i would buy Cryptopia now if it was available Wink
Thanks for all your hard work

Thanks dan!

Kraken is up next. Not sure what will follow. C-Cex has fallen back on our list of priorities to be honest. I am hearing good things about Cryptopia.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I've tried running the demo version but the installation doesn't start, I have Windows, 10, it says you may not have permissions etc what's going on?

You have to tell Windows to run the program even though it might harm your computer. I think there is an actions button in the edge browser.
