1001  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year | New Resolutions - How you gonna manage your finances - 2021 ? on: January 03, 2021, 04:08:32 AM
Maybe i'm too late but I'm gonna invest big portion of my salary this year like really.
Considering how things could went wrong in the blink of eye (pandemic) I guess it's makes me conscious that having emergency funds and the likes really important and learn to not be such a pushover I guess.

Maybe gonna ride the next crypto bullrun who knows  Grin
1002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning from ETH founder about taking loans. on: January 02, 2021, 09:26:31 AM
It should always be like that, taking loan just to buy crypto is insanity, we don't know whats gonna happen in the future yet taking loan and that means double the risk.
Though, honestly vitalik advice will do nothing because people just don't care and some people get blinded by greediness.
1003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 02, 2021, 07:59:50 AM
maybe it will continue to rise until now lol, really this is very torturous when you want to sell coins on dex exchange lol with a small profit and a fairly large fee lol
It's now actually has decreased a little bit though, it seems the proposed ETH 2.0 sharding has finally worked although slowly?, idk.
It's gonna take a while for full ETH 2.0 implementation but I guess the slow effect will do nothing if so many people keep executing god knows how many transaction out there mainly coming from smart contracts which is so many..
1004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you trust social media influencers on cryptocurrencies. on: January 02, 2021, 06:26:57 AM
Half of social media influencers are shillers, that's the fact.
They most of the time hid behind bitcoin and stylishly promote other altcoins which they hold bags and when this market pump, they sold and leave you hanging with loss.
Telegram crypto signals aren't excluded, I make sure I look at their content as educational and not Financially.
That's frank but true, there's reason why these influencers spending their time creating some videos and posts. It's because they are getting paid otherwise they won't even move their finger to get out some effort.
Social media influencers is the last person people should trust, they are just promoting, promoting and promoting except very few.
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there real initiatives to fight scam in crypto?? on: January 02, 2021, 05:22:58 AM
Until now there is no place to report such crypto scams, but if it is a serious scam or a large project scam it looks like it can report it to the authorities.
Yeah sadly the authority only consider big cases to be the only one that deserves attention, We know that crypto is kinda hard to track more specifically if the scamming done using privacy coin but there should be some kind of authority that handles small cases and honestly to guide some new comers to crypto aswell.

That's only a dream maybe  Sad.
1006  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake COVID-19 vaccines....by Paying in Bitcoins on: January 01, 2021, 10:10:53 AM
Whoever buys this vaccine from some stranger need to get their head checked seriously. By buying this fake vaccine means they are risking their own life with whatever chemical substance in there and losing their money.
It doesnt take genius to figure out that this is a scam and very obvious on that not to mention a vaccine from a stranger people don't even know, heck even vaccine from big pharma company still need to undergo some tests.
1007  Economy / Economics / Re: Second lockdown due to covid19 is painful on: January 01, 2021, 09:31:33 AM
It will damage the economy a lot and that's for sure. Most of us already struggling with the unstable economy with the first wave covid and lockdowns now we need to face the second lockdown. Imagine already broke and get even more broke leaving us with nothing. Also, the vaccine distribution will take time as well so its not gonna end anytime soon.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM Stellar Lumens compared to Ripple XRP? on: January 01, 2021, 08:24:55 AM
Stellar created by one of Ripple cofounder so it only makes sense if people think stellar gonna be affected by the SEC lawsuit against ripple
However, doesnt necessarily means Stellar will be affected if ripple happens to lose a lawsuit but we don't really know for sure though. If you trying to buy stellar, just wait until ripple settles its problem first because its gonna be roller coaster of a price.
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be Emotional, Don't be Greedy on: January 01, 2021, 04:38:58 AM
The current crypto market is exciting as everyone is happy that new funds are being pumped into the space, investors are making profits and people are aiming for new ATH for bigger profits. I  remind us all not to forget to take profits, cut your greed and find new opportunities. Never be emotional about any project, buy when it's right, sell when it's right.

changing the coins we want to invest in is very good, focusing on one coin alone will not bring you more profit.  Just imagine if you have been profitable from HODL Bitcoin for this year then you sell your OIN then buy ETH (example) then ETH is bullish and touches ATH, you've made a good decision..

That depends actually, if the altcoins you're holding on is some shitty altcoin with no future prospect whatsoever then it's better to just exchange it to more prospective higher market cap coins which usually guarantee that there's gonna be good things happening simlpy because if the bearish market happens, these major alts will have a high chance to be the least affected
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth 2.0 is this the end of bitcoin? on: December 30, 2020, 11:07:45 AM
PoS is indeed more efficient than PoW but each one of them have their own advantage while PoW is more secure than PoS. Blockchain size becomes high issue will resolve itself because in the future we will see larger storage with smaller forms and there's many research regarding this already ongoing.
Regarding whether ETH will overtake BTC maybe in term of market dominance, I doubt it will happen and even if it is, it's gonna take a long time for ETH considering so many projects already on ETH platform that makes the whole network clogged but the market cap is still a fraction of what BTC has.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: You want something good as UNISWAP and 1inch ? on: December 30, 2020, 09:06:35 AM
Most of us just use those platform for exchanging money and nothing more. However you're actually true, people shouldn't just try to deposit to any new decentralized exchange platform just because they are expecting some free money.
Consider the reputation of such platform and how much volume it has first then you talk about airdrop later because those are foundations that make uniswap and 1inch could do such bountiful airdrop.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - The 2nd Biggest Scam in Digital Currency History on: December 29, 2020, 09:38:44 AM
SEC can sue any coin and this not make it scam. We should just accept that fact that sec can control crypto market too. At least, they can affect the price
The hate toward XRP has been around for quite the time but SEC suing XRP will let us know whether the accusation turns out to be true or not. SEC suing it doesnt mean it scam until proven but its a red flag for us and a clue to whether invest to it or not.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COIN IS THE NEXT ETHEREUM ? on: December 29, 2020, 08:18:30 AM
This topic has been around for many  years  and many  discussed it,  but until now  there have been
no coins that can replace the position of ethereum on the coinmarketcap ladder. Although we realize
that the fee for ethereum is now very expensive if we want to send coins to the destination address.
It seems to. The biggest possibility is ETH being overtaken by its own ERC20 token which is USDT since it's the only one that's alteast have 1/4 of ETH market cap and if we don't consider ERC20 token into account then there's no competition at all. ETH market cap is too big meanwhile other coins struggling to increase theirs. ETH also keeps gathering all the capital through many projects on its platform.
1014  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $24k another new all time high on: December 28, 2020, 10:55:02 AM
now the price touched $ 26k, and made a new ath again,
it is amazing to see the Bitcoin price continue to increase, will this make the bubble come again?
Honestly I am very careful this time, and always watch the movement.
considering how strong the market foundation considering cryptos are now mainstream and offered as a service by large corporation like paypal and other big player  which definitely gonna follow. No, i dont think this bullrun is a bubble. If aju theres gonna be some correction but it wont go down like in 2017 because the market is not just some empty hype but theres many factors playing in the background.
1015  Economy / Economics / Re: The volatility in the price of a bitcoin is falling over time on: December 28, 2020, 08:53:15 AM
i assume this somehow correlates with the fact that bitcoin market cap has grown significantly from the money of thos big boys in term of investment flowing in to our market. My logic is that when the market capitalization has grown so huge some million dollars dumping hardly effect the market. Also maybe because people already consider crypto as legitimate thus they assume the risk isnt that high anymore?
1016  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: December 28, 2020, 04:59:52 AM
This is a single horrible reason I stayed away from ETH stacking. I had frequent power outbreaks while going with cloud servers is practically costly.
AFAIK there's this thing called pool staking when it comes to ETH where you don't need to mantain your own node but all the complicated things was done by the pool provider however that also means less profit since some portion goes to the one providing the pool.

Natural disasters must only occur in a few countries, it is unlikely that earthquakes will occur simultaneously throughout the world, while those who use crypto are people all over the world, so crypto will not be affected by it
Yeah, not to mention that crypto is basically distributed ledger decentralized around the globe which means  it requires internet in a whole world to go down to make crypto network failing.
1017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 27, 2020, 03:13:41 PM
What percentage of ppl who do this full time make a yearly profit on this?  Thing is when crypto is down all year like few years ago, how did any of these traders make any money is what i want to know?  Because if everything keeps going up... its like well its hard to lose if you only buy/sell the top coins.
They usually took profit from occasional pumps and dumps, it could be easily done if you trading short term because these pumps and dumps are like waves, there's time when it goes down but it will surely make a recover if the coin is good enough. By that, despite the bearish market they could still make some money and the rest of them more specifically long-term trader always bag holding and keeps buying when the coin is at its lowest point.
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop wishing Ethereum dead or overthrown on: December 27, 2020, 10:34:01 AM
The funny thing is over 80% or more cryptocians make use of Etherum, I mean eth is so irresistible man because all the big projects you can ever think of are riding on the eth blockchain, project like #OpenDeFi, #Cartesi and a whole lot of them I can't mention all, but do you know the funny thing is despite the high gas fee that everyone is complaining about we still love eth😂 man that's the height of it. I burn $60+ on fee every 4 days lol man eth is something else.
The reason of high gas fee is because too many people flooding the entire ethereum blockchain too which means too much people wants to use ETH for many purposes. Most of the popular projects also within the blockchain and having so many stablecoins residing in the platform means stronger foundation as these stabelcoins keep printing money like crazy, for example USDT you see how much bigger their market cap has grown despite it supposedly backed by money reserved by the company. Can't imagine other alts overthrow eth except they could took all those projects altogether to their platform.
1019  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Company are holding more than 10000 Bitcoin on: December 27, 2020, 08:13:21 AM
That is the scenario that we do not like to happen and this is not what bitcoin is intended to be but unfortunately they have the money and they have the means soon it will become a playground of rich and multi national companies, I myself do not have one Bitcoin in my portfolio and there are thousands of people like me who can only own a fraction of Bitcoin.
Bro the amount of people that owns less than a whole bitcoin (1) is significantly far greater than those who owns more than 1 bitcoin. It's like our traditional economy where the gaps between rich and poor repeats again but this time in crypto world.
It's inevitable though when there's just no way to rule this, but honestly it doesn't matter that much when there's those altcoins as an alternative to bitcoin so that the capitals could be spread between these alts.
1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: December 26, 2020, 01:38:54 PM
Alts coins took major hit, hope you guys are playing safe and using stop loss. ALT DOMINANCE and possibility of seeing further drop in alts. It's my opinions.
Your opinion kinda true though. Most of alts gonna gets crushed if the big companies and investment firm keeps buying BTC at large amount which also means increases the price and market cap. By then people would just prefer to switch over bitcoin because it's more promising and more safe for investment compared to alts with significantly smaller market dominance and market capitalization. Alts could fail anytime meanwhile bitcoin is here to stay. Hopefully though, the market become balanced so both btc and alts don't crush each other.
