1001  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.EU - Bitcoin Sportsbetting - Best Odds - Teasers - Mobile on: April 14, 2014, 09:53:23 AM
Yeah still nothing. Longest i've had to wait on the wager ever

Have you contacted their support? I'm pretty sure they have automatic grading in place for most non-obscure events unless their grading provider is down.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Apple Thread - I Admit Defeat. on: April 14, 2014, 08:17:26 AM
Yeah, especially if the user hates using the other product. (That's basically like telling me to use Android/Windows Phone even though I hate those OS's)

If users use Apple products, GET OVER IT. The time wasted by bashing people for the products they use can be spent on something better than bashing.

I couldn't care less what people use - they are more than entitled to burn their money (me included) on a closed system that is all about supporting corporate greed. What I don't understand is the rediculous nature of the Apple fandom (not the average user) given that their innovation has pretty much dissipated.
1003  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.EU - Bitcoin Sportsbetting - Best Odds - Teasers - Mobile on: April 14, 2014, 07:37:05 AM
Still no live betting ?

Yeah that's one feature sorely missed at the moment. Any chance on adding tennis futures sometime?
1004  Economy / Speculation / Re: What caused this sudden ~10% increase in Bitcoin Price? on: April 14, 2014, 07:34:26 AM
Physchology.

I wouldn't attribute the random minor short term volatility of Bitcoin to any major world event - IMO it's just speculation and rallying much like the stock market. Nothing much but some hope and expectation really.
1005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Journalists are total buffoons on: April 14, 2014, 07:30:08 AM
This journalist is clearly writing out of his ass - he has not even the slightest inclination of how the system works. No surprise really - journalists aren't exactly the brightest bunch not to mention humanity ain't that smart either.
1006  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 14, 2014, 07:26:06 AM
I agree with you that you can use this thread in any way which is related to the service. But it's also true that this specific topic of yours has been broadly discussed so many times. You can just go back and see what users were asking and what PBMining answered. They are not going to disclose their business plan or any other information on their operation. That's it. It's your choice to decide whether you want to trust them and invest some money or whether you don't trust them and don't invest money.

I have almost 90 GHS with them. Am I sure this is not a scam? No, I am not. But I am willing to take the risk.

Are other services more reliable? Not really. As long as you have your bitcoins in the cloud, no service is reliable. Take CEX as an example. They seem to be more reliable but what prohibits them to just unplug everything tomorrow and keep your bitcoins? Nothing. Do you personally know them? Do you know where to sue them in case they take your bitcoins? No...it's basically the same exact risk you have with PBMining.

I'm sorry but trawling through 960 responses for a very specific point seems rather over zealous. Unlike many others I do not have unlimited time to read through what is mostly of uninformative substance.

Of course it's my choice - no one ever said it wasn't. Doesn't mean I am not allowed to ask for further information.

Cex is irrelevant - I have not mentioned Cex once. I am evaluating PBmining based on its merits and solely on its merits and not in comparison to any other site. And just for the record - to refute your final statement there is more risk if it can't be proved that mining is occurring.
1007  Economy / Gambling / Re: # Legitimate Royal Ponzi scheme money making formula! # on: April 13, 2014, 10:53:00 AM
Well yes technically you can call this a scam like any other ponzis/pyramid selling/securities/mining farms and shitcoins. It's basically an user funding another user and we all know that, what matters is Royal ponzi will bring profits at no risk for everybody. You are referring to scam ponzis that ran off with customers funds. Royal Casino is not going anywhere now or in the future and my info can be found and confirmed.

Despite what you say, there is always risk for anyone involved - just because you say that you're not going to run off with everyone's funds doesn't mean you won't. Unless you have been vetted by a well known member here I'd doubt any information about you is actually you - much rather fake ID and the likes.

And no, IMO all ponzi's are scams for they are simply a nice way of stealing from someone else. Calling a sheep a cow doesn't make it not a sheep.
1008  Economy / Gambling / Re: # Legitimate Royal Ponzi scheme money making formula! # on: April 13, 2014, 10:27:30 AM
I will re-launch this ponzi properly tomorrow, it's hard to gain trust in these days and convince players this is for real.

Because we aren't stupid enough to believe that ponzi scheme aren't actually one big scam. All you do is scam the users themselves at the end for your greedy pockets.
1009  Economy / Lending / Re: Micro Loans Available, No Collateral Necessary on: April 13, 2014, 09:39:31 AM
hey could i plz get a loan of 0.02
to
1JV5afQLiQyAb6wYLd8s9XrSzz6YoSyvNA

and dont take my -rep serious cause someone gave me one for no reason specified

Yeah, no. Tomatocage is pretty good with his flagging so I would be fairly confident that you've fit quite a number of flags to get negative repped. Not to mention you cannot read, loans are for full members and up.
1010  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: April 13, 2014, 09:26:41 AM
Electrum - miss being completely trustless though, now I have to rely on certain supernodes. However it does mean I don't have to download the whole massive list of transactions that is the blockchain which for me is a major plus. And I can still do offline signing and cold storage without having to use Armory.
1011  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FAKE or STOLEN Bitcoins on: April 13, 2014, 08:56:22 AM
It is rare and hard to fake transactions so I wouldn't even bother going there. As far as stolen coins - you're bound to get some at some point and just like stolen cash back in the system you can't tell the difference.
1012  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Get your custom address - CCrypto | Custom Crypto - ALL Cryptocurrency supported on: April 13, 2014, 08:51:54 AM
Please note that these guys do not use split key generation to create a private key meaning they have access to it. Would you share your money with a random stranger over the internet, I wouldn't.

In it's current form this service can potentially steal your private keys and all funds in there. Until thy fully implement split key generation it is not safe.

This will be removed once this issue is resolved.

Issue resolved.
1013  Economy / Economics / Re: Seized coins sale on: April 13, 2014, 08:26:43 AM
Assuming they did auction them off - if there was market movement leading to a lowering in price I'd be more than happy to gobble up a few more coins at a lower price. Honestly, I doubt that will be the case though, more likely there is no sale or the sale has little to no impact on price.
1014  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Internet speeds and confirmation time? on: April 13, 2014, 08:11:01 AM
Because tx sizes are rather small you'd simply need to broadcast that transaction and even with crappy internet I doubt it would take very long to send < 1kB no matter where you are. Once broadcast provided your tx has enough priority it should be included in the next block - to put it simply internet speed has no bearing on confirmation times.
1015  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 13, 2014, 08:06:07 AM
Lack of transparency was discussed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418183.640 amongst other pages in the thread.  Trying to convince the trolls would be a losing battle in which I would simply end up repeating myself.  Our customers are fine with the way we are doing things.  I never demanded that you leave the thread, in fact you are more than welcome to post here.  I simply asked, that's all.

Thanks for the response - can't accuse you of having slow support. I'll have a further look into PBmining before I do anything more. I'd like to make it clear that I am not accusing you of anything yet; I'm simply pointing out what it looks like to a bystander and asking for further details regarding your operation.
1016  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: April 13, 2014, 07:01:35 AM
Our stance is still the same on this subject, and nothing has changed yet.  Our customers are aware of our current stance as well.  Please take this discussion to "scam accusations" if you are convinced we are running an illegal business.  This service thread is not intended for that.  Smiley

This service thread is about talking about the 'service' your provide - PBmining, so I believe I'm perfectly warranted in asking these questions about your service.

Would you kindly be able to enlighten me as to your 'stance'? And why are unwilling to provide any evidence?
1017  Other / Off-topic / Re: Advice on gaming computer? on: April 13, 2014, 03:54:52 AM
Power for gaming and reasonable price, trust me I am pro at this, I made PC for my whole family and friends, no one ever complained:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K BOX
Board: ASRock H87 Fatal1ty
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 WindForce 3X OC
RAM: 2x 4GB Crucial 1866 MHz CL9
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
SSD: Crucial M500 120 GB
AC: Corsair VS 450W
Optic Drive: LG GH24NSB0

Everything here may be changed, it depends on what you want and how much money you have Smiley
I did not post prices, coz I don't know how much this parts cost in your place.

A 4670K on a H87 board is a waste of money - you won't be able to overclock and that is the whole point of the K extension. And if you want to OC you'll need a separate cooler (212 EVO would be good), stock coolers don't cut it when it comes to OC heat produced.

If you're not going to OC I'd get a 4570, 4670 doesn't offer much more for the price.

And your ram speed is higher than what your mobo supports, might as well get a 1600 MHz if its cheaper with better/same timings.

Everything else looks fine.
1018  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is MINING actually WORTH it now? on: April 13, 2014, 03:47:39 AM
Why waste so much money and electricity on mining, when we can get the coins extremely cheap from the exchange?

Because people somehow have this weird notion that mining them is better than buying them and it'll make them more money. I guess their just infatuated with the fact that it's akin to 'printing money' and they want in when in fact the printing machines are more costly than the money they can produce.
1019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining help. on: April 13, 2014, 02:55:58 AM
I have been trying to mine, but I don't know how. Help please.

Don't waste your time. You won't make squat. Just invest in BTC and wait for the long term gains that it will have.
1020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Bitcoin storage solution? "Share It!" on: April 13, 2014, 02:54:35 AM
I have all my bitcoins safe and secure on mtgox.

Guess we found Mark Karpeles' alt account.  Wink

What's the most convenient and secure way to store it ?

Stick your encrypted wallet on a USB stick and store it with your bank.
