1061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crypto coins/tokens on: February 25, 2023, 12:23:33 PM
Most novice investors invest their money in new projects they don't know much about because of invitations from other people they see on their social media accounts or other websites. There may be some new coins that can get a nice pump the first time they are released to the exchange, but there are also many new coins that cannot upgrade and even have only a short time on exchange.

And indeed, investing in new coins/tokens is riskier than old coins/tokens because old coins/tokens already have a history from when the coins/tokens were released until now, so they can add to our information when analyzing the coins. But that also doesn't guarantee us a profit because other old coins also have the same chance to increase. And if you want to invest in new coins/tokens, only invest with money you can afford. You must remember that so you don't experience many losses.
There's no doubt that novice investors may be easily swayed by hype or invitations from others, without fully understanding the risks involved. It's certainly possible for new coins to experience significant price increases upon release, there is also a high degree of volatility and uncertainty associated with these projects. Without a track record or history to draw upon, it can be difficult to accurately assess their potential for long-term success.

As you mentioned, investing in established coins or tokens can offer greater visibility into their performance over time, but even this approach is not a foolproof way to guarantee profits. Market conditions and other factors can still have a significant impact on the value of these assets.
1062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading season? on: February 24, 2023, 05:34:15 PM
Like 50% true that in trading, you don't know if the season is going to be in favor of you. And that's why if you make a profit, there's some people that would say that you're lucky you've made a profit and some traders would agree with that because they don't even know what just happened.

While for the 50%, it's pure skill and analysis that they've made and the anticipation on what will happen next based on the readings of the chart is there. Plus the experience on how they've made a lot of mistakes trading before helped them to hit the numbers.
I believe what OP has mentioned and what the other guy actually meant was bearish and bullish trends and markets which are not really seasonal and any of the two can start at any given time without prior notice.

The guy probably referred to these two metrics and wanted to say that during a bear market, one should buy and stock and hold. And during a bull market or a bullish trend, one should start selling slowly and steadily until they've sold everything and then wait again.
1063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can Bitcoin afford to buy on: February 24, 2023, 04:44:22 PM
Many people are confused of Bitcoin and mostly mother's having double mindset of what bitcoin can buy. But i wasn't bias on the question because i know that Bitcoin is a digital currency and it can buy things for the country that approve it as a legal tender, and with Bitcoin profit you can buy things for shop's that accepts bitcoin for monetary transaction's. So i want to ask this question generally so that i will have more insight of what bitcoin can buy using Bitcoin without converting to fiat currency before making purchase.
Bitcoin is not a hidden thing anymore so anyone must be aware of it already if what is it and what merchants accepts it. For now its adaption might be limited but many of us didn't care at all because we are only using our Bitcoins as an asset for a long term investment. If there are instances that we will buy something we will just convert our BTCs to fiat and buy the item locally or directly.

Maybe the reason why some stores didn't support BTC in their business is that they are scared that it was against the law but there are still a few stories that I read where a customer will ask the owners secretly and they still made the deal possible. We can try the same thing in our local and we might be surprised on how many merchants are willing to accept bitcoin in exchange of their service.
1064  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: February 24, 2023, 03:08:03 PM
Luck is also essential in trading but it’s knowledge and skills that should be prioritized first. Without them, a trader may only lose his money and waste his time and effort. That is the reason why beginners are advised not to trade unless they are ready to lose, and most especially they already have background about trading and how it will be profitable. Trading is hard and quite complicated as there are a lot of factors to consider before trading, so one must trade only if he is mentally, emotionally and financially ready.
Trading is like sports betting because sports betting mainly involves knowledge and skills but if you will still lose your bets then it only translates that you don't have that little pinch of luck. Sports betting is a kind of gambling but trading can be like a gambling too if one will just trade blindly and won't learn the fundamentals of it.

As a beginner in trading I think this was still acceptable and we shouldn't think about the money and time that we spend with it or the ones that we lose. We shouldn't say that they are useless because how can we build experience if don't make a mistake? We even have the saying that mistakes are the best teacher.
1065  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: February 24, 2023, 11:00:29 AM
I spend my salary by buying first all my personal necessities such as groceries, personal care, monthly and house appliances(if ever I needed some replacement for my broken appliance). The remaining of my salary will go to my different savings such as life savings, personal savings(money that I save if I plan to purchase something) and insurance. I don’t spend unnecessary things that I just think outside my plan budget and I always plan so that I can allocate money when I’m buying things that is not on my list.

This is how I manage my monthly salary. The only thing I spend that is not planned is for food like when I crave for a specific food but I don’t count this as unnecessary expenses because food is my favorite part of my life.
You forgot to add the bills Cheesy i.e water bills, electricity bills, internet bills and the like. This and then the grocery are the ones that are more important than personal care and appliances because we can still live a peaceful life without them. As long as we already have the basic and the most needed appliance like rice cooker to cook food and then gas stove then we are now good to go.

The rest can just be carried on. Insurances and savings are important but this can only come once we still have extra money from our salary. I see that you're a foodie. I think that's better than other habits like gambling or alcohol but you must still have a control, so that you won't spend more and then you won't have a health problem.
1066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance's 98% Dominance: Should We Be Worried? on: February 23, 2023, 09:20:48 PM
Interesting. Does it mean the report OP shows is incorrect?
I would be happy if it's incorrect. There should always be a healthy competitor. Otherwise, they can force us to do whatever they want. Suppose there are no other exchanges, and you must only use Binance. This is the scariest thing I can imagine. I am not saying their service is terrible. But, Not having any competitors will make them arrogant, and slowly, they won't take care of any problems. They will do whatever they want, and I won't have any choices. An Exchange alone shouldn't have more than 45% trading volume. Otherwise, they will control the market and cannot do anything against them.
I agree that it's definitely not that easy to consider the situation we are in right now, it's not that easy because we are talking about bull period and during bull period too many people are blinded by the potential profits and not the losses that they could make.

It is not an easy decision to suddenly stop everything and focus on the potential crash that may come, and I know you suggest that people should be careful about it, but it's not an easy thing to do at all. Just consider 2021 when we dropped from 64k to 29k and then went back up to 68k, people are just not sure if we will crash, or we will have a rebound or not, so it becomes quite tough decision.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 23, 2023, 07:44:14 PM
Those spammers and shillers are the worst part of it, it's really going to be a horrible topic filled with shitcoins. There are so many newbie accounts who keep on shilling the most useless shitcoins that will eventually go down to zero that you wouldn't believe how terrible it really is.

I know that we are not going to end up with anything that is going to be legit here, because anyone who would support anything that is decent would not be stupid enough to suggest it to someone else, because we all know the risks and we do not want to include others in our risk. Whereas shitcoin shillers will want you to join so that their risk would drop a bit more by including another person.
It seems that you guys are wrong. 7 days are already past and there are still no shillers that shills their shit coins on this thread or maybe it will still take time for them to spot this thread? Well, let's see about that later on. They are annoying and can be damaging for those who are new in the crypto world but if they post their shilled coins in the forum then I think the moderators can still clean them up, if not, we still have helpful and concerned forum members who can correct them.

As of now, the ones that comments in this thread are higher rank members and they already know what's good from the bad. I already saw some good recommendations in fact. This thread can still go well, trust me.
1068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin price continue to increase? on: February 23, 2023, 07:15:40 PM
$25k is a very strong resistance level to break right now, basically from that zone Bitcoin sold way down to $15k lowest, level since the beginning of the bear market, and to pass this level of residence, Bitcoin needs a lot of momentum to break that zone.
However In the coming months ahead, I do believe Bitcoin is going to surpass the $25k benchmark to hit long expected $30k.
Indeed it is but did you know that we already hit $25k last day? When the bear market begins, the price is still high but it slowly goes down. It didn't drop to $25k or $15k immediately but it stayed above the $30k level for a long time if I am not mistaken. Unfortunately, the bear doesn't end there but it still continues to go down. We had a tough battle of maintaining the $20k zone but the bear is too strong for the price to fell again under that level and it stopped at $15k.

This might be the bottom because we never fell under it. Fast forward, again BTC already hit $25k but there is no $30k that is seen yet. I guess it will still take time again to be able to hit this price. Maybe 3rd or fourth quarter this year.
1069  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What do you buy/want to buy with crypto? on: February 22, 2023, 09:08:15 PM
What do you buy/want to buy with crypto?
I have earned a lot of money in my life working in crypto currency. I have bought many things with crypto currency. I have bought a car, bought a house and bought my elder brother a private car by earning money from here working in crypto currency. But I am hoping to open a mobile showroom if the investment I have made in this crypto currency works as expected.
Good for you, I guess. Not everyone become able or earn enough from cryptocurrencies to be able to buy all the stuff that you've always wished for. I can imagine the level of satisfaction one gets when their family gets their dreams fulfilled due to them. You are one of those luckiest people on earth.

My personal goals and dreams are pretty big which I'm not entirely sure if I can fulfill only with Bitcoin, but it does give it a very good boost and also gives me a sort of relief since I know my money is not in the hands of a wrong person or thing.

I want to buy a house with Bitcoin some day, and hope that bitcoin stays around until the time I'm able to do that.
1070  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting ready for $25K, How? on: February 22, 2023, 08:20:09 PM
try not to be over confident mate because things may change over night.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/

now it goes return to 22k falling under yesterday, but what else could we ask more? when we have already gather some increase and possible many of us had earned already .

selling is considerably these days while waiting for what to come.

just try buying more mate, and surely you will never lose .
Price constantly changes, went up after you wrote this, to 24k again, doesn't mean it will be going higher and higher constantly, doesn't mean it will go down neither, it just means that we are talking about something that is a bit volatile these days and goes up and down. So, we could see it do very well too, or we could see it not do well at all, both are quite possible and we can't make any predictions.

However, I trust that it will do well in the long run so I am not going to end up selling any time soon, I will keep holding as long as I can, that will guarantee me a good profit in the future, maybe not today but if I wait enough then it will eventually happen.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If There Is A Ban on: February 22, 2023, 03:15:00 PM
We all agree we're living in a crazy world and what's far worse is that it is managed by a bunch of clowns..
So, let's think wildly, one day US were to further increase the censorship just like some of the other countries in the world, they ban bitcoin, they ban VPN, they pass legislation for those who mine/trade/spend btc will be sent to jail.
(Let's not say it's not going to happen. It can! You never know just like you would never have known that there's a war in 2022.)

Other countries start to follow.

Where will you be and what kind of life will it be and how is it going to impact yours?
Although the odds of that happening are pretty low, but as you said, that could happen knowing that central authorities don't really like seeing things that they can't have control over. But, as we already know that there are some big countries that have already started openly supporting Bitcoin and blockchain technology, so that's a positive which makes us believe that it will at least stay.

For me, I wouldn't really be affected that much even if Bitcoin is totally made unreachable for me. My principles don't allow me to invest everything that I have or that I earn into one single asset or investment plan. So even if one of my investments fail, I will still do pretty good.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 21, 2023, 08:41:14 PM
My answer is of course yes, bitcoin can help everyone who has it for their daily needs, and there are also those who make bitcoin as a reserve fund and also a guarantee for old age or the future. But that doesn't mean don't use it and make sure the long-term holders will also use it to enjoy profits or buy something they've been hoping for for a long time, like a house, car and so on. And they will take advantage of it when the bitcoin price reaches its highest price, and only take part of the profit to enjoy.
and I personally treat bitcoin as a reserve fund that I will use when I really need it because my daily needs are met from my own work, and I treat bitcoin as a reserve fund to help me and my family when something unexpected happens related financial problems and it's very proven and also very useful as I feel because we never know where we really need money suddenly and bitcoin is the solution, and also being a very safe self-owned bank.
That's basically the reason why most people are interested in bitcoin already. Of course there are a lot of people who invested and care about it for their future, but there are plenty of people who use it for that AND also use it for daily stuff as well.

I am one of those people, bitcoin allows me to live a good life, not because I just invest into it, which I do, but because I work for it as well, by job is in the crypto world and I get paid in crypto. All in all it is obvious that we shouldn't be really worried about anything in this regard, because it is definitely a good thing for all of us to be invested into crypto, it allows us to have a good return in our profits and hard work.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prosecutors seize SBF’s $50M deposit to small bank on: February 21, 2023, 07:26:21 PM
Good if they found the SBF money But I do bet the Sam still have dozen of it in crypto from, since regulator will hard to find it. Mixing and cross chain bridge will leaves no track. or the sbf might have little money in form of cash ftx case made crypto bad Cry
Yeah, 50 million is a lot of money already. It seems that the puzzle is being solved slowly, that's great. Maybe in the coming months, we will still hear another good news about this case. He use a small bank thinking that he won't get caught but I salute those banks for choosing their dignity or reputation and they choose to report SBF to the authorities than taking bribe money because I think SBF have also offered it with them.

FTX made crypto bad because their collapse have affected the cryptos value and maybe there are some newbs who will think negatively again with cryptos after that incident. It kinda sucks so FTX should be punished badly for this.
1074  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: February 20, 2023, 09:58:03 PM
If you really wanna enjoy investing in an altcoin then don't hold for long, maybe you can sell off with little changes that occurs besides it's very hard to define the market price of altcoin and bitcoin. But for you to enjoy bitcoin you need to hold at least 1 year or more. I have come to think of those who doesn't pay attention to bitcoin and want to invest altcoin without having the idea that altcoin is being driven by bitcoin action.
Altcoins should receive a different treatment than bitcoin, you could invest in bitcoin and forget about it for years or even a decade and I am sure bitcoin will still be here and it will thrive during that time period.

But when it comes to altcoins you could never do something like this, if you invest in a coin like ethereum you can still take a relaxed approach but you still need to be way more vigilant than with your bitcoin, but if you invest in new altcoins or altcoins with a low market cap you will need to monitor your coins very closely because as we know those coins can crash out of nowhere at an incredible speed.
Cryptocurrencies are generally volatile by nature, so a crash could occur even in Bitcoin and we have seen it too, more than once. Also, as you said, there are altcoins worth being trusted just like ETH, which is already 8 years old and have gained significant value over time, though not as much as Bitcoin.

I believe those altcoins which have been around for a pretty long time, deserve to be trusted by the community and must be given the status of having the capability of being held for a longer term just like Bitcoin. I know they can't match the level, but at least they have provided some value alongside Bitcoin and contributed greatly towards the success of blockchain technology.
1075  Other / Archival / Re: Long-term Bitcoin accumulation continues on: February 20, 2023, 09:23:41 PM
I'm doing exactly the same. Receiving regular payments from signature campaigns is no different than purchasing Bitcoin yourself. It's actually a great way to acquire Bitcoin if you're not willing to risk your own money. You could potentially sell the minute you receive your payment, but personally, I don't think it's worth it; holding is much more beneficial in the long-term. I'm a little away from my DCA, which is sitting at approximately $28.000 since two years ago when I started receiving signature campaign payments, which isn't too shabby. There's a decent profit margin to be made.
Oh yeah me too! It's one of the way to accumulate bitcoin consistently. It's my own little way of doing DCA since it is assured that you are being paid every week and you will not worry about the hassle of buying bitcoin with your own cash every week. Its hard to expect a good profit from what we are standing right now, I believe it is just way more better to just wait and be more consistent in doing DCA and not touching the payment we are collecting every week. Long term is more worthy since we know that tit will appreciate over the time.
We don't know the future of the campaigns that we are in, if they will last long or not so I wouldn't say consistently but as long as they are still running well, let's make it a habit to save up so that we can secure our future especially if we don't have other jobs right now. If ever we have, then we can still do another DCA, if we want to, so that we greatly increase the number of Bitcoins in our wallets.

We are now in a new year and it seems that things are getting better this time. Just a little more patience and we guys can now enjoy a bigger profit from our long-term investments. Long-term or even short and mid-term, all are worthy as long as you know how to utilize them properly.
1076  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 20, 2023, 03:02:49 PM
I think being financially independent doesn't mean needing to leave the home of your parents. I mean I'm still living in mine, the only thing different is that I have my own set of responsibilities now that I take when it comes to, but not limited to finances, though I guess it differs from the cultures of family in each country, at least in mine (Asian), there's no absolute need to.
I agree, I am still living with my parents too, and I take care of all the expenses in our house. Yes, when I am in financial trouble, I often ask them for assistance but when I am financially capable, I make sure that they won't spend a single dime from their savings and even return the money they gave me in my troubled times.
Parents have spent a lot of money to raise us, it is appropriate for us as children to make them happy when we are financially able. Everyone has experienced difficult times in their life, when it is difficult to get loans from close friends, relatives or other third parties, parents are always the last destination for help.
Parents never take into account how much money has been spent on their children, as a child they have an obligation to pay for it in their own way. One of them like you have done.
What if you grow in a budget oriented family? If yes then I don't think they spend so much money on raising you but whatever the total amount it cost, we must still be thankful for them for their effort. This is why many kids are now returning the favour to their parents by the time they graduated from school and find a decent job.

Our parents is the first one that we approach once we have a problem, if they can't help us in terms of finances then that is the time we seek for others. Our parents is responsible for us because they created us but there are some parents who are forcing their children to repay them. This looks inappropriate but I won't be totally agree with them. I will still do it even though they won't remind me.
1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Excessive greed is detrimental to investment on: February 18, 2023, 06:16:34 PM
These are things that we learn at the start, and then sometimes forget about it at times and need to relearn them in the future. But as long as this exists and the results are always the same, we are going to end up with no problems at all. I know that it is not something we should be proud of to make the same mistakes again and again, but multiple times of same mistakes guarantees that you do not make the same mistake again in the future.

We should be focusing on how we could make a profit after we learn that and it could end up with much better results in the future as well, because we would be able to focus on what to do and already know what not to do anymore.
Yeah, I have to warn the differences between excessive greed and regular greed though. You need ot be greedy to make some money, nobody who is avoiding greed could be rich like they should be, because greed is the thing that makes you want to have more and more, so you need to have some greed, a lot of it if possible, to make money.

However, when you have excessive amount of it, that means you are going to actually not make money when you can, and that's something you should try to avoid at all costs because it is not a smart move to keep holding something even after it reaches the top, and that is why it's important to have some sort of backup plan for when it could go down.
1078  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto aid for Turkey exceeds $4.5M in one week on: February 17, 2023, 08:02:25 PM
Is it possible that crypto based donations carry a significant advantage over gofundme and other platforms which denominate only in single currencies of fiat? Not everyone in the world has access to digital dollars to donate on US based platforms. National currencies can be limiting in terms of them expressly being used inside the borders of the nation which issues them. The US dollar losing its position as an international reserve currency can only accelerate this process for the USA.

Global cryptocurrencies by contrast, can be commonly held and used by residents of all nations. Which could give crypto based donation services a distinct advantage over the digital dollar, yuan, ruple and other assorted national currencies.
Same happened for Ukraine as well, after the war when the first wave hit, Ukraine started to accept crrypto donations eventually, and since they were a "western nation" and in Europe, they got over 100+ million dollars in a month, which wasn't really shocking, because it is obvious that the world cares about Ukraine a lot more than they care about "non-white" people. Hell even nations sent billions to help Ukraine with that war, and Turkey can't crack over 10 million, I hope that people would find the courage and the empathy to treat these two nations similarly, but I doubt that would happen, watch if any European nations ever get earthquake, it will get x10 more than this amount at least, probably more.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what do you expect from cryptocurrency? on: February 17, 2023, 05:06:19 PM
Todays world's economy is not so good. High rate of inflation and many bad things are happen, also cryptocurrency market seems not so good either. But I think it is better to hold bitcoin rather than fiat as government seems that can't do something significant improvement on economic growth. Unlike my expectations for the world economy, I have good expectations to cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Bitcoin has a good thing that called a "Halving" where it usually cause it price to rise, while other fiat don't have anything to expect except inflation. I would like to know about your expectations about cryptocurrency, please share your opinion.
I am one of those people who do not have much wealth, my hope from cryptocurrency is to multiply small capital into large capital, so that it can improve my household's economy. of course I have to be determined to set aside a small part of my remaining money to buy bitcoin, and I consider that as a replacement for my pocket money, so that even though there are high fluctuations in its movements, I remain calm, and later the money will double so I can open a business real estate or buying safer assets, as part of diversification
I agree, this is the same mindset that I have as well. I am not rich, and will never be "rich", like millions of dollars type of rich. However, if I can have 20k dollars, that would change so much in my life, and I mean like for good, not just for a while.

This is what I am aiming at right now, and that is not something I can't reach, it is totally reachable about as well so all I gotta do is keep working on it and eventually I could reach it, and it may take some time and maybe years, and need to multiply my investment a few times over, but when I reach it, it will definitely one of the best times of my life and it will definitely be great.
1080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 17, 2023, 03:12:38 PM
I know Crypto had a heck of a run a week ago, and it is giving back which is normal. They have been getting beat real bad and its not stopping. I was on Coin Market Cap an hour ago, and looked at the stable coins. They are all except USDT well below a dollar. All were up 3 to 5% today and still wasnt up to a dollar. They were moving around like they were being fed to try and stay in their dollar spot. I got a bad feeling about today and/or tomorrow. Keep close eye out and react quickly. Hope I am wrong, but its strong enough feeling I just had to say something. Good luck!!    Brandon
Thanks for the concern and warning mate but let's just hope that this occurrence is only normal because this wasn't the first time either that a stable coin can drop and there are also times like they are increasing by some percent. It was like they are also volatile same with the standard crypto but not in a greater extent. after some time they will always return on their favorite spot which is at one dollar.

There are people who already quit on using USDT because this coin has been involved in some controversy, I think even up until now so not many are worried or surprised if there are negative happenings around this coin. I think others should do the same, only to have a peace of mind.
