Last season we had Arsenal - Southampton promo, and this season we're focused on Newcastle's Champions League run!
I like this additional Newcastle Champions League BSFL competition! With current Newcastle form it is not going to be easy to correctly predict anything, but that makes it even more interesting. How is everyone doing in this round? I see a lot of red color for first question, and not many members predicted to see Shelton in top 4 for US open. There is absolutely no one who wouldn't love this Newcastle Champions League competition addition, but that's such a terrific group they've found themselves not going to lie, moving past the group stage would be quite a great job to begin with, but we are here for it! I feel very much like an asshole for not backing Shelton despite already saying it multiple times which is really weird af of me, I would have gone with him, I knew him defeating Tommy Paul was never a fluke, he was in great zone and shape mentally right now, and I would backed Tommy Paul against definitely. I really just didn't have the balls despite my concern for the overly clumsy Tiafoe. |

I think Xavi sounds selfish, if he really wanted Ansu Fati back, why did he still get so little playing time in the end? in other words Ansu Fati is playing at Brighton just to hone his skills and then Xavi will take it back. Isn't that selfish enough, I know it is their right because Ansu Fati contract at Barcelona is still long. I never stop thinking that Ansu Fati potential will not develop even if he returns, because he has to queue for a long time to get playing time. Waiting for the main squad to be injured and Ansu Fati remaining unchanged whether he goes to Brighton or not, he will remain a reserve player. Xavi has a long -term plan with young players owned by Barcelona and there are many things that might not make sense according to us but the coach does not see it as from the egoism section. Just wait for the future developments and certainly Ansu Fati will be one of the players that Barcelona needs in the future and it depends on how he tries to improve its quality. Xavi was never selfish and Xavi was what Barcelona needed truly in order to be able to start competing with other elites of Europe back, he was fine with unsettling the likes of all his old team mates like Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets, so what matters or why should Ansu Fati get an easy let off, Ansu Fati has been projected to be face of the club, but he can't live up too the pressure with everyone not letting him breathe and him being out injured, so Xavi is gotta reintegrate Fati back into the squad but slowly without taking out the new players that have been working their asses all months long while Fati was struggling with injuries and match fitness, there is no automatic slot for any player and Ansu Fati shouldn't get any special treatment, but he's considered as the future face of the club, so he's also got to prove that he's willing to make certain uncomfortable sacrifices too. |

Glazers playing hardball with rumors of the club been taken off the market for reasons unknown, and market's responding with a 18.%+ drop which translates to a 600million plus drop and if these guys are trying to be selfish and protect their interests...this club will lose value more.. and should the sell happen without the right guy taking over, expect another crash of Utds value!! Honestly, what I dont understand is why are the glazers still holding onto United when its debt written all over the club with no progress to show for which they have failed to zero down..are these guys going to leave or not for the club to get better players in the future... What will happen at the of the end day would be the Glazers being the losers, I don't even understand for taking the club off the market, if the reports are true, but I could get it if it is in relation to anything that concern the figure they've put into transfers and other expenses for the this season, could it them be expecting a bigger valuation for the clubs worth and trying get more significant amount from the initial estimations they could have determined to be their asking price to sanction the sale. Owners can be very selfish, if you look at just clubs presidents like they use in the Spanish Leagues for instance who are not the owners, nor major stake holder of the clubs, but they still manage a well up and running club into a debt and barely able to have its own self sustainability after these presidents tenures, you'd see that Glazers aren't far off. |

Seems summer window transfer have been closed how potential for Liverpool will leave by Mohammad Salah? although has possibility but Saudi Club are interested for signing Salah need waiting until next window transfer opening in January or several months later. Its not good ideas for Liverpool if want to sell Salah how ever fees transfer offering. Salah would not leave by January in my opinion, next summer could be a completely different situation, but Liverpool would have been able to prepare ahead of that time, and looking at Salah's age, Liverpool wouldn't mind cashing in on Salah, he's left a footprint that cannot be erased from the club history so moving on henceforth will be no issue for a club that have let a number of club legend leave amicably this season, and not holding it against them. |

@logfiles why Haaland no captain? A waste!
I actually thought he's going to blank more often because of the Kevin De Bruyne injury, but it looks like he is starting to do well with the Like of Foden. Not having him in my squad earlier on paid off only once (game week 2)  Problem is having no Haaland sets you back so much each time he does well. He is in almost all the teams and he is permanently captained as well. That brings his effective ownership to almost 200%. Every other player you don't have at least does not have captain chip on him. Haaland ruins the game and makes it less fun, but I don't se anyway we can go without him and compete for top places. I imagined the guts it took @NotATether to call a day with his Triple captain chip this early into the FPL on Haaland who had just come from not so confident game week, and damn it, the Triple captain chip already paid its dividends, he won the game week with it and, I'd say it has been used perfectly to my satisfaction if that was me, but that was risky is what everyone of the so called FPL experts would say, while everyone preparing on a potential double game week even from Haaland might end up not getting anywhere near those 60 points, after the 24-35 long weeks of planning and not pulling the trigger on the chip yet. |

The Lakers have signed forward Christian Wood to a 2 year deal. Christian had a decent year last year averaging 16 & 7. I’m not sure how he’ll fit into the lineup but maybe he’s a little extra insurance in case something happens to Anthony Davis. Wood did dominate the Lakers in the Christmas game last year… I think Christian Wood for the Lakers alongside Anthony Davis might just end up being a recipe for disaster, like Gobert and Karl-Anthony Towns partnership at the Timberwolves, except Wood being more of better shot maker outside the perimeter and serve as an insurance policy like you said for when AD is being out than usual or when AD is just off his game and can't dominate the paint like he ought to, I don't know why Dallas Mavericks didn't stick with him as a Center, he's an all round better player than more often useless than not of Center they have in Dwight Powell, who shouldn't even have ever graced a basketball court imo, I felt they've found quite a replacement for Porzingis in Wood, perhaps not a perfect fit, but not quite short-off from general perspective of him being versatile enough to play as a F, C or both combined quite effortlessly. |

The way the promotion is set up, the league grows by default; by the start of season 4, we'll have 20 teams in DIV, and by season 5, we'll have 22 teams, which is more than an average league in Europe; if I'm not mistaken, we have four clubs promoted to Div 1 every season. With the way the league is set up, the two-legged game will not work, and we may end up playing 40 games per season. buwatress will burn out Nope, at some point we'll draw the line. 16 or 18 players per Division might be the soft spot, although 3 leagues of 20 players were what we were looking to achieve initially. We have 52 players now, so we're still 8 players short. Hope we get them for the next 2 seasons Whatever adjustments you have in mind, anything more than 20 per league will elevate us to championship level and diminish the level of competition. Another adjustment that the Cro2 might consider is the freebets duel - this sucks. If there is a freebets duel, the first to submit automatically wins; shifting it to the next round is something none of us like. This season, I've lost 2 or 3 freebets duel to the lucky bastard buwatress. I agree that it needs to change for the next season with freebet. The winner of the free bet should be decided at the same time as the round is finished. @Harkorede we only have 4 different answers so this round is more about a bit of luck i think😂 When I see my answers now, I'm quite unsure about them😂 I agree on the part of freebets duel not being carried to the next round, it should be settled at the end of each round by any means necessary, I would also edge towards it being awarded to the person with the earliest submission in cases where there no other means of separating the ties. Shelton is giving Tiafoe a run for his money, but I still feel he'd get cocky and overplay his game plan or not execute it properly, which is why I went for Tiafoe, but Shelton is name to be wary of in Tennis for the next few years. |

I really don't but If there is anything I've been very happy about since I became very addicted to Tennis, that's watching Coco Gauff play, she brings it all in on court, the Grands slam at home, or nothing feels like the mission here, and I fancy her chances big time!
It's quite a tricky one for me and Slissy the questions we have inconsistencies with are actually the coinflip questions for this, looking at how significant this round mean for either of us, I guess we'll find out.

I bet you the FIBA question got loads of surprises, it's not all as it seemes with USA even dropping a game to Lithuania now I have to think it through again, but hyped with our defense today, it could be a medal after long time, and that without our biggest star Jokic, that chose to be drunk all summer in his hometown is better than playing WC basketball You bet that all NBA stars feels bigger than FIBA easily after just their rookie season, and they get just that first deal... They would rate the pre-season, or the new in season tournament ahead of FIBA, because they believe what it takes to be on a NBA roster apparently is 10 times more than what it requires to represent their country on any given day, hence Jokic not even trying to take part at all with his country men. Aaaaand now I see that I'm an idiot because Italy is playing against USA in two hours and that game will also finish before the deadline so I could have waited a little more. Better than missing out mate, we probably all already know how that one would turnout, and if it's not the desired result you wanted, you could still call in your VAR chip, if you have not used it yet, I don't think the Italy-Usa fixture is really worth being on the edge of missing the deadline for, if there is any possibility of you getting carried away for a few minutes or an hour and miss the deadline. |

@cryptofrka I like this format, it's really intense, 2-legged seems tiring, but hey, we're all eager to slug it out. Of course, there will be guys like Igebotz who need more stamina, getting tired by Round 10 haha
If the two-legged game is going to net us more money, why not? At the very least, it will mean more freebets to play with, but I honestly believe the two-legged game will be exhausting unless we have two matches a week to keep up the pace. Back to your statement: I'm not tired; I'm just disappointed in myself; I started strong and ended extremely weak; 0 + -1 point for last submission in the last two months is insane. I hate to tell it, but my luck has run out since football season began; things were lot better with DOTA and F1 questions. You've been excellent this season and deserve to be at the top; I hope you don't bottle it like Liverpool. You just never know with these sports, soccer was the only sport becoming rather very unpredictable, but tennis have had me questioned myself about how much I really think I actually know, going into some game.
I go into these football questions with much confident with little or no research at all and that's whats killing my rank. Aside that a longer period would only mean bigger rewards for twice as much the time spent, I'd rather we have every season over with within a short time frame, just like the status quo, as there are season long pools already, this being a long rally too would only it make rather such a cliché, and I think the biggest fun of this tournament is how short and fluctuating the ranking can get in the short period, A longer period would have people wear out before the end of it especially due to the dynamism of its multi-sports criteria which is already engaging enough for the likes of us that participate in every other pool, just to be clear I'm not against to legged ties, I think that'd even be an improvement to competition quality, but what I'm against is if a takes a rather longer period, and having two fixture in one week, might not be a bad way at that if we have let's say 4 questions and 2 H2H ones per fixture, making it a total of 12 questions instead of the accustomed 10 we currently, but the down side to that, a person not submitting a missing the deadline might not be giving a player an advantage but two players an advantage now. I'm in for any betterment or competition intensified checks and updates added to this that does not have to involve spending a very longer period of play. Personally for me, with the NBA fast approaching I really can't say how well I'd fare or the spare extra free hours I'd have daily, given the curricular activities I would have to check-in with every other week too, and Sorare being a newly found adventure too is just making everyday feels like a couple of minutes for these days. |

Thanks for the clarifications on WTA. I actually assumed it was from today onwards (r4 onwards) but I guess the question got me stumped anyway. Some are perfect some already drop 3 sets, it's a real dice game with tennis, even more so with WTA lol. If there were to be any incentive for submitting early, I could have tried to be the first for the first time ever today, I don't think I rank amongst the people who really likes to leave it late, I don't think my name have even come in the reminder list more than 3-4 times, I'm actually curious to know who has the least number of reminders so far this season.
I have already have all my answers readily saved, but I'm sure any person who has been following Tennis lately would already the amount of upsets and crazy comebacks which happened so in the US Open.
I need almost perfect performance in remaining rounds if I don't want to relegate, so, I will wait until final moment to avoid any possible upsets which may happen before the deadline. In womens tournament we already have Swiatek eliminated, Pegula is probably worth mentioning too. It's been a crazy tournament, we'll all we would have at least an American ATP semi-finalist, I wonder if they didn't need to eliminate each just so early enough how many of them would be left in the tournament, It's crazy a ride to get to that ATP and WTA level but it get's tougher to break into top seeds, the toughest to maintain any spot! --------- I thought Zverev and Jannik Sinner would play for eternity  |

it should be NO, congrats on expecting Napoli or Inter not to win, Lazio started season in a bad manner, but change it all yesterday this is second in a row win for Lazio in Naples, and both times they were featured in BFSL questions, seems that they play tricky when they are highlighted in questions quick one, on the fiba my opposition had juancho hernangomez, while I had Hernangómez and both are in thesame team/County. Hope there wouldn't be confusion there. How is everyone doing this round? It looks like a dead race between me and leea-1334, and so far we both managed to get only one answer correctly Very weird betting weekend for me but I hope things will turn in my direction when time is ready and every point counts. Shame to see Newcastle losing against Brighton today, they are slowly slipping in table and they need to make some corrections asap. I was doing well enough prior to Ons Jabeur dropping the first set against Bouzkova, now she needs to fight from a set down yet again, she was able to get the first break in the 2nd sets, and 40-0 to make it 3-1 game lead but she eventually lost the game yet again. It's currently 2-2 in set no. I'm just going to bed already I really can't stay up for the games, it's not as interesting as I anticipated from Jabeur, maybe she'd get to make the come back, I guess I'll find out later during the day. |
