Around 25 mins in.  From the way it looks rn I think Inter gonna get one in first.

Yeah! Inter is showing some great attacking intent with those chances. However, as the saying goes, "what goes around, comes around." Let's hope Inter's missed chances won't come back to haunt them later in the game.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 07:23:52 PM
The game has started and it seems that Inter are not as weak as one might think and certainly, if Inter are not provoked or carried away from Manchester City's pattern of play. So, Inter could have been able to hold Manchester City to a draw until the first half was over. But to be honest, the attacks that Manchester City made looked very flowing and of course, this really threatened Inter's defense. But apart from that, I personally hope that Manchester City can win in this first half, whether it's with a score of 1-0 or 2-0.

Well, we all have our favorite teams and dreams of victory, but let's not underestimate Inter. They've made it to the final, and that alone proves they're a force to be reckoned with. Once they step onto that field, anything can happen. It's the beauty of football; unpredictability at its finest! One goal, one brilliant play, or even a stroke of luck can completely flip the script. Just a few seconds ago, we were treated to a delightful attempt from Brozovic. The early signs of excitement are definitely promising.

I am very confident Inter Milan will be crowned Champions League winners this evening after they beat Manchester City  Grin

Well, well, Jolly, you certainly have your bets placed on Inter Milan, huh? I must say, you're quite bold with your prediction. Manchester City is a formidable opponent, and they won't go down without a fight. It's going to be an exciting match, that's for sure. May the best team claim the title!

Let's grab our snacks, find a comfy spot, and get ready for some edge-of-your-seat action. And don't forget the popcorn refill button, just in case... Wink

1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 10, 2023, 04:24:36 PM
This is the most depressing thing to do, <...>

Yes, calculating all your losses from online gambling can be a real downer. Especially if we take into account cryptocurrencies and their tendency to gain value over time. For example, Dogecoin. Imagine if we had just held onto those coins instead of using them for online bets. We could have been sitting on a virtual goldmine!

But hey, we can't go back in time and change our decisions. What's done is done. Instead of dwelling on the what-ifs, let's focus on the lessons learned and move forward.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 10, 2023, 04:15:12 PM
How many of us are guilty of this?

Ah, the classic "I promise to quit, pinky swear, cross my heart and hope to never lose big again" routine. Been there, done that, my friend. I'm also member of the "Guilty Club". We beat ourselves up, swear off gambling, and then find ourselves right back in the ring, ready for another round. I've done it more times than I'd like to admit.

But I wouldn't call it a path to addiction... well, not entirely. It's more like a passionate fling, a rollercoaster romance with Lady Luck. After all, life is too short to deprive ourselves of a little excitement and adventure, as long as we're mindful of the boundaries.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cold or Hot Slot? on: June 10, 2023, 04:05:17 PM
Cold or hot, it really doesn't matter when it comes to slot machines, especially in an online casino. The notion of a machine being "hot" or "cold" is nothing more than a gambler's fallacy.

Slot machines operate based on random number generation (RNG), which ensures that each spin is independent from previous spins. Whether a slot machine has been paying out frequently (hot) or not (cold) has no impact on the outcome of future spins. Believing that a machine is due for a payout or avoiding a machine because it's been paying out frequently is simply a misconception that can lead gamblers to believe they can predict or manipulate the results.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Manchester City Get Treble Winners? on: June 10, 2023, 03:50:52 PM
In the last 19 seasons no team has been a bigger favorite in the Champions League final than Manchester City. However, I don't think Inter will simply give up. After all, nobody reaches the final by accident, including them. But if City manages to score early, Inter's hopes may dwindle. The odds at the bookmakers for City to become European champions for the first time are only 1.25, while the odds for Inter to secure their fourth title are 4.00. In one match, anything is possible, and once the ball is kicked off, there won't be any clear favorites anymore, at least until the first goal is scored. The momentum is building up. Both teams deserve it, and may the best team win in the end.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Way to further decentralize the Bitcoin network. on: June 10, 2023, 02:24:56 PM
Why not create several pools and further decentralize the network?

Miners have the freedom to pick whichever pool they fancy. While the three you mentioned are certainly popular choices, they are by no means the only options available. In fact, you can even create your own pool from scratch, and it won't cost you a dime!

Now, about GPU mining. Truth be told, it hasn't been worth the hassle for ages. The electricity bills and the fact that graphics cards don't last forever make it a losing game. On the other hand, even those ancient ASICs are way more efficient than any GPU out there. So, if you're thinking about mining, go for an ASIC and leave the GPU behind.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to Care (Maintenance) Laptop that Used for Mining on: June 10, 2023, 02:16:43 PM
Hello friends, in this thread I will tell all the ways to take care of laptops that used for mining.
<...>

What on earth can you mine with a laptop? Definitely not Bitcoin, unless you're simply using it to control ASIC miners. It's like trying to haul a massive fully loaded 53-foot trailer with a scooter – it's just not built for that kind of heavy lifting.

When it comes to laptop maintenance, the advice holds true for every laptop out there, regardless of its purpose. Whether you're using your laptop for work, gaming, or simply browsing the internet, taking care of its maintenance is essential.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 09, 2023, 11:48:55 PM

You are absolutely right dude! Setting time limits and practicing self-control are essential not only in gambling but in various activities, including video games. It's easy to get carried away and lose track of time when engaging in enjoyable and immersive experiences because they are made exactly to keep you engaged and not aware of time or other considerations.
It will be highly beneficial and client-oriented if casinos can implement the stop play timer on the feature of their casino where the player can set the limit of time of play on those casinos, just like stop loss in some exchanges the timer will help the player to be able to quite whatever session when the count down get to zero because it is very important for the timer not to be in the possession of the player but on the casino so that it can be properly followed.

I think the casino already has a clever way of stopping us from going overboard, it's called our bankroll. Yup, that wad of cash you set aside for gambling is like a built-in stop loss. It's the designated sum you're willing to put on the line without crying yourself to sleep if you lose it all.

And as for the timer, I don't think that would work. Sure, setting a timer might sound like a good idea in theory. But let's be honest, when you're caught up in the thrill of the game, time becomes this elusive concept. Minutes feel like seconds, and hours disappear like magic. So, instead of relying on a timer, it's better to have a solid plan in place. Set your bankroll, as I mentioned earlier, and stick to it.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more secure, WBTC or BBTC (Binance Wappled bitcoin)? on: June 07, 2023, 10:45:19 PM
Hello folks,

Which of these two is safer in the face of what we are going through now? WBTC or BBTC? Is BBTC mandatory linked to Binance? That is, if there is a blockade of assets or non-parity between what it claims to have and what it actually has, can the BBTC lose the 1:1 parity?

Any of those altcoins can potentially lose their peg with Bitcoin, just like those so-called stablecoins can lose their peg with the USD. Do you remember the Terra(LUNA) and TerraUSD(UST) crash? When it comes to Bitcoin, there's only one true king, so why take unnecessary risks with these alternatives? It's best to stick with the original and not get caught up in the potential death spiral.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 07, 2023, 10:28:54 PM
Why do you need to trade in person when bitcoin is digital and you can trade it from halfway around the world?  Perhaps you live in a country where it is not possible to have a bank account and therefore you cannot open a bank account so the only way to exchange is in person.

There are plenty of good reasons why people choose physical exchanges to convert their crypto to cash and vice versa. One major reason is that many folks around the world don't have access to traditional banks for various reasons. They're what we call "bankless." Plus, physical exchanges often have looser rules when it comes to KYC requirements, making them attractive to individuals who value anonymity or prefer not to disclose extensive personal information during transactions.

1095  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Newbie question about a transaction on: June 07, 2023, 10:04:36 PM
Again, thank you very much! I'll read a little bit more about it before attempting anything else.
Even though this hasn't been a 'real' issue so far I can only imagine what people go through whose transactions don't arrive or get lost or who lose significant amount of funds over small errors. Phew!

Yeah. That's exactly why newer versions have addressed and fixed those issues, and the labeling of transactions has improved. That's the whole purpose of software updates – to fix bugs and glitches. So, my suggestion is to update your Electrum software as soon as you can to ensure you're using the most stable and secure version.

He's probably asking for a "friend", who is too shy to ask this kind of question with his main account. Smiley
1097  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 06, 2023, 10:33:53 PM
Do we have any information about the specific gambling platforms that these influencers promote? It would be interesting to see which platforms pay influencers with the most followers.

Another unfortunate reality is that a big chunk of these influencers' followers, especially on TikTok, are probably kids who aren't allowed to gamble legally. It's concerning because promoting gambling platforms to an underage audience raises some ethical issues.
1098  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Newbie question about a transaction on: June 06, 2023, 10:09:59 PM
Hi,
still relatively new here in the forum, thank you for having an Electrum section here.

I'm not sure if I made a mistake or not so I wanted to ask for your opinion. What does it mean exactly when in the lower half of the "send" tab, there's a green checkmark with "sent", but that transaction doesn't show up in the history?

Could you provide a screenshot of the window? Just make sure to censor any private information such as addresses (both yours and the recipient's), transaction amounts, wallet balances, and anything else that should remain confidential.

I wanted to do a transfer and filled out the (thankfully correct) address, amount, and then hit 'pay' - then a popup window opened and I wasn't sure what to select for the fees, moved the sliders around a bit, and wanted to look some stuff up, and then I must have closed that window somehow. Now I can't get it to open again but it just shows it as 'sent'.

I can't remember if I had entered my password when that window was opened, and I can't remember what the slider position was at.

In the worst case, did I successfully initiate that transaction with super low/slow fees, and it'll need a very long time to show up, so I can then raise the fees for it? Because I can't get it to show a transaction ID, and right clicking it won't allow me to raise fees or make any change to it.

If those are really all the steps you did, then your transaction didn't go through. After you have filled in all the information and selected the fee for the transaction, there should always be a final window where you have the option to double check everything before you can click on the final "pay" and then "broadcast". (that's why I'd like to see a screenshot).

Can I simply make another identical transaction now with high fees, and would that basically supersede the old one - but what would then happen if the old one would get processed later?

If your Electrum wallet is functioning properly, your transaction should appear in the "History" tab, even if it was made with a minimal fee and hasn't been confirmed by the network yet. Have you verified if Electrum is connected to the network? Look for a green circle in the lower right corner of the window. If the transaction doesn't appear in the history list and your total balance still reflects the full amount you had previously, it's highly likely that you didn't broadcast the transaction. In such a case, feel free to create a new transaction without any issues.

I am not imposing anyone to help others rank up but I am saying rank should not be a sole factor to consider when someone deserves a merit

Well, in my case, it's not really about the rank. When I stumble upon a post that I find genuinely helpful, I don't bother checking the person's rank. If I have some spare merits to give, I gladly share them. However, I'm not exactly a merit powerhouse, so I don't have an abundance to help someone skyrocket their rank.

Now, what you may have observed is that posts from higher-ranked members tend to receive more merits. And that's not surprising, considering that those members often bring valuable insights and wisdom thanks to their knowledge and experience. It's a general trend, but hey, there are always exceptions to the rule. So, it's not set in stone that higher-ranked posts are automatically more valuable, but they do tend to carry that reputation.

Anyway, show me one post by a low ranking member that you think didn't get enough credit, and I'll see what I can do.

Honest mistake on plagiarism issue. I just do copy paste that time from the stuffs given to me to post it on the ann thread without checking the source. I was shocked that it was from another website that I didn't visit even once.

Posting with your own account remains your personal responsibility, and I can't find any valid justification to suggest otherwise. Moreover, as a thread moderator, you hold an even greater responsibility towards the forum community. Promoting a project that turns out to be a scam reflects poorly on your role as a moderator. It only takes a quick Google search, which takes less than ten seconds, to verify if the content you're sharing is plagiarized or stolen from elsewhere.

There are still many users evading bans that do their normal thing without being caught.

I can't help but wonder if you might be one of them.

I admit that I use another account without knowing that it was illegal here, so I tried to appeal again even though it was too late and almost impossible to unban since I already posting on other threads outside meta.

If admins won't unban me then I just move on and focus on trading crypto again.

If you're hoping to get the admins to reconsider your ban, you'll need to demonstrate that your contributions have had a positive impact and that lifting the ban would actually benefit the community. But, it seems quite unlikely that you can effectively make a compelling argument in this regard.
