I'm in boys, let's ride the wave to success!

How much is the bounty for the signature campaign by the way? It gives an example that uses a 300,000 wave bounty, but I haven't found anywhere else that confirms it.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WTS Lisk via Escrow (Ognasty) on: April 11, 2016, 05:53:13 PM
Can we purchase in portions smaller than 560? I may be interested in buying 100 or so LISK.

I m sorry but it d be harder to divide 50 parts.  We may deal for 280 lisk for 0.65 btc

Any chance we could do it in thirds? I'm a little shy of .65 currently

Shit man. Had a sell order in place on my trump and didn't hear about v2 until the pump had already taken place. Oh well, trump was good to me, even if it's currently valued at 5x what I sold for Sad

1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: March 20, 2016, 08:05:36 PM
This is an incredibly ambitious project... I like it. I'm not usually one to donate for these types of things, but I see potential in Elastic. Put down .05 Smiley Is there a timeframe as to when the project will go live?

I think the deadline is bitcoin block 425920 which we all try to meet Wink

Oh, ok. So it is just a matter of when all the funding has been donated?

1110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the most profitable cloud mining? on: March 20, 2016, 06:46:16 PM
So far only 5 people voted that is not that enough to have an good vision about it. Also people who promote ponzi here in this topic don't help really to help other people.

That's because voting is promoting the problem. None of those sites are profitable. They are all ponzi scams. That's what cloud mining is. The lack of votes shows that a majority of the community doesn't believe in these get-rich-quick scams.
1111  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm All In - Sold My Dogs & My Car! on: March 20, 2016, 06:44:02 PM
I know the op is a troll, just wanted to say that anyone who sells their pets for crypto is missing some brain cells.

The sad thing is, I don't think a lot of people in this thread realize he is trolling, and some don't even see the problem with his behavior. This disconnect with reality is ultimately the problem with Bitcoin and the Bitcoin community. The behavior projected by OP is not healthy by any means, yet a lot of people here don't realize that, and even project similar behaviors. It's one of the major factors that contributes to Bitcoin's current piss poor reputation.

Forget bitcoin, this problem relates to everyone in the world. For example I was just reading how Gawker may have to pay up to half a billion dollars to Hulk Hogan for releasing a sex tape, If courts are ordering half a billion judgements for a stupid sex tape, and people are "selling" their dogs for crypto, its almost like im wittiness the world fall apart in front of my very own eyes yet no one around me is noticing.
Its sad and disgusting.

It's true that there are people like this all throughout the world, but the Bitcoin community is very saturated with people who have a severe lack of judgement. You might know a couple of people like that in the real world- but it's more than just a couple in the community. It's all the people who jumped on caught up in the price fluctuations looking for a quick road to riches.

And in regards to the sex tape, the payment was legitimate. Gawker was participating in some very scummy business practices, and refused prior orders to take down the video. They deserve to pay the settlement, they are a very douchey company.
1112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Converting amazon gift cards to btc - easiest way? on: March 20, 2016, 06:36:26 PM
The best and easiest way, by far, is using purse.io. On Purse, users can either place Amazon orders with a Bitcoin deposit, or purchase the orders of others through Amazon. The gift is sent to the orderer and his Bitcoin transfered to the Amazon buyer. You will not get 1:1 on your funds, but you can get 80%+ very easily. Downside is that Bitcoins will not be received until order has shipped, but selling manually takes time as well.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: March 20, 2016, 06:32:31 PM
Is their any safe methods to gamble? Means without losing much of our money can gamble?

Any tips or suggestions?

gambling on sports is safer than dice game that is too random. have a friend who is an avid fan of tennis.

Both are very dangerous. Remember nobody knows the result of a sports game, so there is no way you can predict it.
Sure the odds are better, but it is still not safe. With other words there are no safe ways to gamble..

of course it is not safe, anything that is called gambling is not safe but sports betting is way better than betting on dice.

when you play dice you are just shooting in the dark but in sports you can have some idea of what to do to have better chance of winning.
Yeah i agree with you, sports gambling is better than dice we could win more in sports gambling if we have depth information on the player/team we're betting.

Regardless, both forms of gambling are very unsafe. "Safe" and "gamble" are contradictory. To have a safe gamble is an oxymoron and impossible. If a bet is safe it is not a gamble.

1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is the next Ethereum? on: March 19, 2016, 11:23:28 PM
If the coin already exists, it is already not the next Ethereum. The next Ethereum will have to have similar hype pre-launch as this Ethereum does.
1116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why decentralization and resiliency is most important... on: March 19, 2016, 11:14:43 PM
they even used the Bolivarian Intelligence Service for find these innocent guys  Lips sealed

These guys aren't innocent... it's a shitty thing for the Venezuelan government to do, but they were breaking laws, and the miners knew this. Holding foreign currencies (including Bitcoin or USD) is illegal in Venezuela. They knew that what they were doing could be grounds for legal troubles. They should have been using a VPN and done their mining more covertly, like the other miners in the country.

I'm not supporting Venezuela or damning Bitcoin users in Venezuela. I'm only pointing out that these two were not innocent.
1117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had one chance... on: March 19, 2016, 11:10:01 PM
"Have you ever wanted to send money anywhere in the world as seamlessly as sending an email? Yeah, you can do that. Look into Bitcoin."

I think the get rich quick or world revolution arguments are stale and put off a negative perception of Bitcoin. In 20 seconds, the best bet is telling them there is something that makes their lives simpler. People know to be hesistant of something that sounds too good to be true, but they also like making their lives easier and will actively invest in making every day life simpler and more seamless.
1118  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the number of available bitcoins decreasing? on: March 19, 2016, 11:05:04 PM
Let me explain.  Bitcoins are constantly being created (mined) but bitcoins are constantly being lost also.  The number of bitcoins created per year is decreasing (by design) and we could assume that the number of bitcoins lost keeps increasing every year.  If this is true, then at some point the total number of bitcoins available (not lost) would decease because more are being lost than being created.  If it hasn't started happening yet, it will sometime in the future.

can you explain to me,why are bitcoin being lost?
i believe bitcoins amount decreasing because some old bitcoins dead,it why many bitcoin burial, someone already post burial bitcoin site.

Passwords lost, hardware destroyed, sent to wrong address, virus wipes memory, etc. etc. There are a lot of ways to lose your Bitcoin.

In reference to OP- yes, I do think the number of available Bitcoins is decreasing, but not in the sense you imply. I don't think more Bitcoins are being destroyed than created, but I do think more Bitcoins are being hoarded than created. A large, large portion of Bitcoins out there are being hodl'd- these Bitcoins see a velocity of 0, and for all intents and purposes, are unavailable to the community and economy.
1119  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ▶▶ XOtika.TV ◀◀ Adult Platform • Fully Powered by Bitcoin! ★★★★★ on: March 19, 2016, 10:58:42 PM
For a niche camsite that caters to a relatively small demographic (i.e. Bitcoiners) XOtika.TV has quite the selection to offer! There are many active girls on the site and always someone different to watch. Love the addition of gambling opportunities as well. Keep up the good work!
1120  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the most profitable cloud mining? on: March 19, 2016, 10:54:35 PM
Mining is not profitable in these days, if price of BTC reaches 1000 USD I think it becomes profitable again, but thats a big IF.
Nowadays, so many people says this. But, if that's true, how come so many miners are mining now and difficulty is still going up?

It's because they have no idea what they're talking about; just spitting out what they've heard from other people that seem knowledgeable. You're absolutely right, bitcoin mining is probably always going to be balanced so that it's on the line between being profitable and not. Even if the price goes up to $1K, more miners will come in and it'll get harder to mine blocks; you'll have to mine longer to get a block, making it balanced out again.

No, mining isn't profitable for the vast majority of the population. It's so competitive that being a profitable miner relies on many different variables: Cheap electricity, cooler climate, adequate start up investment and access to facilities, to name a few. For the average Bitcoiner that says "Hey I want to try mining", putting in a couple of Bitcoins on mining hardware will result in a net loss in profit.
