Is it possible to write already apps on some alpha version? I would like to try out ;-)
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: August 22, 2015, 04:14:28 PM
It is only one buyer (as can be seen in the block explorer), so I guess he got into liquidity problem, that's possible.

What is the cheapest price those early investors paid?

7.5 cent per coin

wow  Shocked only 7.5 cent per coin Smiley

as published on feb https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=736447.msg10403838#msg10403838

And now we are at 16.6 cents. 100% rise. Its a complitly Ponzi!

Just the jump last week was 20% (!) percent, instead of 2%.

I would suggest everyone to get the fingers away from this product.

After half a year of a ponzi life (start february) you can think, now the whales are coming inside and then three months later its makes boom.

Its kind of nerdy ponzi, but 99% ponzi. Early investors just waiting to get out. Nothing more or less.

No developer would spend so much time answering all the time the same questions here. You would have no time to work seriously, IMO.

There are investors that believe in something and there are investors, that just want to get out with a good result.
But as an early investor you SHOULD get more than a later one. You wait for a long time with your money blocked and maybe lost.
I like to invest something in the first minutes and look at it after years. But not, if I can also wait for that 2 years and get the same piece of cake...
So go in, or don't but don't complain, that it's getting more expensive later fudster.

BTW even though you see several asks there, ours is only the highest one. The rest are by some early buyer as I mentioned a few comments above.

So typical. These people are so annoying. Buying just to sell it on the first profit...
1104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinXT and You – What Every Bitcoin Holder Needs To Know on: August 20, 2015, 03:00:55 PM
An interesting fact:
If you look here:
http://xtnodes.com/

You see, that there are more than 10% already running xt nodes. More than 5% since nearly 3 days. There should be definitely more than 2 Blocks mined with XT already. An average would be:
6*24 blocks a day * 3days = 432
5% of 432 is more than 20!

Probably there are a lot of fake nodes running... or do I miss anything?

Edit: Ah... forgot, that the hashrate of the xt-nodes may be very low ;-)

First round of payments complete! Everything looks good  Wink

Is there a mining calculator out? How much ether per hashrate?

Ok, good to see, that you already thought about all those things. Just wanted to give suggestions.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: August 18, 2015, 03:54:29 PM
so, what happens for example, if someone starts a "51% attack" where the logic is manipulated in a way, that inconsistent blocks are allowed?
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: August 18, 2015, 03:35:41 PM

Nothing at that scope has to be predefined - it can be changed with time according to a method the users themselves set.
Like it is possible to create a coin over tau that will be programmed to change its behavior with votes of X% of clients, or stake, or anything.
So it is ok to "make mistakes" like letting the pool problems arise, and when it arises, just to change the rules without having to fork.

But you wrote something of a "basic logic", that can't be changed. So if someone wants to change that, for example to a logic, that makes all other included logic senceless?
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: August 18, 2015, 03:21:59 PM
Please try to find a possiblity to prevent pool mining. This is in my opinion the biggest issue of BTC...

On tau one shouldn't be concerned about those issues at all. See my replies to Synechist's comments on http://cointelegraph.com/news/115118/tau-chain-a-decentralized-app-store-with-greater-flexibility-than-ethereum  and the protocol's flexibility https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=950309.msg12158861#msg12158861

what about making a pool and try to change the protocols base logic with a 51% attack?

1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: August 17, 2015, 06:10:06 PM
who is selling at lower price now? I hope not the Tau-Chain team as it was promised to raise the price not to lower it...
1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 14, 2015, 11:48:25 AM
Hey.

Could You Guys plz help a bit.
Lets say, im new to scryptocurrency (im not, but Ether:))

Could someone explain me ('step by step' is preferred):

How to get my ETH-s from a JSON file ?
How to send (deposit) them to an exchange ?

I've purchased some on presale a while ago and now im about to sell them... (i have ONLY a "json" file !)

Detailed "How to" is WELCOMED !  Grin

seems like, if this howto is popular, the price will drop again ;-)
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 13, 2015, 03:08:21 PM
PRICE ON THE RISE! 2 USD WITHIN 48 HOURS!

It's ok that you say that but don't you think every person should analyse the situation by themselves? It's pure speculation ;-).

Well, you never know, one of these day someone saying something like that might be right. Statistically it is possible.  Cheesy
If someone shouts that, it means, that he wants you to think that. What he thinks, is something else... he probably wants to dump his coins as expensive as possible...
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum's big lie? IBM Adept on: August 13, 2015, 03:03:19 PM
ethoreum is the last chance of getting rich in crypto, hype on.

Ethereum is the last chance of getting rich if you bought the ICO.
Otherwise you will get dumped on by the ICO holders.

Nearly all coins with a marketcap > 10mil will make you rich in the next years. No matter if there are a few dumps where you loose 50%, if you end up with 5000% or more later. Just look at LTC, NMC, NVC, they all wiggeling arround +-50% of BTC, but in general they raise with it. We just have to wait for the next hype.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 10, 2015, 06:03:34 PM
Ether will do easily 5x the current price, it's a joke a copycat coin like litecoin has 4x more mcap than this initiative.
The current price is just because of the weak hands who this was their first EV+ investment and they are full of fear.

I hear the same thing with every shitcoin...

Here's your easy way out - https://www.kraken.com/ether

Nop thanks, i didn't wait 1 year for only 5x, this are those investment that i prefer to be all or nothing, 50x+ or nothing, (yeah, it doesn't matter if it goes to 1 satoshi).

 Smiley

Sell now, double your amount later..?
Who cares, if you have 1 or 2 billion $
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 04, 2015, 05:48:25 PM
0.00072000BTC is a good price for Ethereum.

ok, i will buy from you @0,001

pls take your fud away

I am afraid, that you are a little too optimistic. There will be huge dumps for sure and somewhen you could possibly run out of BTC ;-)

1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time SCAM on: July 05, 2015, 01:46:42 PM
Possible, but very difficult.

The time stamps could indeed be 'faked' and you could use the time warp exploit that is inherently present in all Bitcoin derived cryptos.  Depending on the difficulty re-adjustment algorithm the exploit can be magnified.

Problem is, the difficulty would rise high enough that you would need to spend a large amount of time finding a block solution before it can drop low enough to re-attempt the same exploit.

In the end, you could spend a few months trying to make a coin look like it was 2 years old.  I can't imagine such a thing is worthwhile for just a few BTC.  Anyway, I think it would be immediately obvious when there is no BTC thread dating back that far and the Github source code is only a few months old.

Not completely writing off the possibility since stranger things have happened.

Possibly you need to run a few months with very strong hardware. But still its better to come out 20 Months earlier instead of showing old tech, isn't it?
And its easy to manage. Just let your time on the mining computer run 5 or 10 times faster and pretend I used lower hardware... and you can remove all decentralisation code. Noone checks you yet...

And btw: we are talking here about more than a few btc...
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Time SCAM - or how you trick even hero members with legit premine on: July 05, 2015, 01:25:05 PM
I am not writing coin names here, but everyone can guess, what I mean...

Lets say I made a coin, started it to mine myself in a heavy premine and made the block timings so, that it looks like its 2 years old.
Then I come here and proudly present a coin, that is 2 years old.
I mean. Timestamps can be faked, if you do it right and start from beginning and can write all blocks yourself...
but do you believe me, that my coin is 2 years old?

OK and further: lets say we even don't matter, if its really 2 years old or not:
Do you think its legit, if it was not presented at all? Completely hidden for years??
Is this considered to be decentralized then?

Ah yea. I made a wiki and a website to pretend it was not hidden. But noone will see, that this website was not online before anyway.
So noone can proof anything to me ;-)

And then a year later I celebrate my 3 year old coin. WOW! I have 90% mined a year ago already, but celebrate with me!
We want to push the price a bit, so that I can dump a few. And by the way I have a new roadmap of my features now after 3 years!
Before I didn't do anything the first 2 years ... not even a gui, but anyways...
Do you think its legit?
Do you think that this coin can have actually a market cap of millions? Unbeliveable...
