I can see a brighter future Wink
I price is going to reach $900 after the halving.

Yes, I too see bitcoin as a bag of opportunities, I think if more and more people can start using bitcoins, soon we will have something nice ! Before halving I do expect more than $2000 per one bitcoin. Anything is possible with bitcoin ecosystem so, I can expect more than that also.

I only see this happening if everyone moves over to Bitcoin XT.

Yes still low

If anyone want to buy now is good price

After some months
Will be too high

Yes good time to buy some for a node before it gets too high.

Hello everyone here

I want to start invest in this coin
But I can't read all pages in this topic it is too much

Just answer me. Is this coin staking profitable or no ... and what percent reward for staking ?

Is that daily reward ?
If you hold 2-3million XEM, you will harvest at least 100 XEM per week on average, bear in mind that once NEM gains adoption and the value increases tenfold, this would be a substantial amount of earning each week.

I think the fake txs that are being sent to reward harvesters right now will prob stop once node rewards are up and running.
Earnings will prob drop a bit then until there are more tx in the network.
Since people running nodes are getting rewards for that and harvesters that are harvesting on 3rd party nodes don't really have to invest anthing it should be fine though...

Didnt realise that people were making fake TX to achieve that! lol

Anyway, whats the story with Node rewards?

70K of XEM is quite a large payout, how does it work? It sounds like a lottery in that a random node will get the payout?

I need about another 750K of XEM to run a node.

Other problem is our ISP runs CGNAT, so will this still be possible for me to rub a node?

Looks like Bitcoin has already failed and is doomed to die!

Just been reading this about the BTC developer Mike Hearn selling all his coins and warning of its fate...

He has now quit as a developer
https://medium.com/@octskyward/the-resolution-of-the-bitcoin-experiment-dabb30201f7#.akjw17yd5  Undecided

If BTC dies, everyone will move over to other platforms such as NXT, NEM, IOTA, Ethereum etc.
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: January 15, 2016, 12:38:17 AM
davide72, hier can you find the information:

https://nxtforum.org/index.php?topic=10569.msg204686#msg204686

Currency code: KIOTA
Account: NXT-LXTE-49TM-7BAZ-8W37F
Currency Id: 10176659922964555108

You need to look in browser left at Monetary System and then > Currency > Search Currencies

By the way, I can not vouch for this man and I do not know if you really get your IOTA from him.

Maybe its really better, as msin said, wait until it's available for sale?

Seems im not the only one who has had trouble finding KIOTA on the NXT Monetary system either!

Anyway, i still dont know if its worth buying now or after launch.

Interesting read from Mike Hearn:
Quote
I will no longer be taking part in Bitcoin development and have sold all my coins.

Lets invite him to join XEM development!   Cheesy

Will the swap between SLK and DRKSLK still be the same 1:1 ratio also?
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SILKCOIN][DARKSILK PREANN][TESTING STORMNODES/DarkSIlk MARKET/I2P] on: January 13, 2016, 08:40:08 PM
One question, whats the purpose of the $25 fee for hosting a stormnode?

I thought that all nodes would be rather paid fees for keeping the network running smoothly much the same as DASH currently does.

The chinese are pumping lots of dead coins currently.

Look at Stabilityshares.

That coin died ages ago, yet the chinese have been pumping it bigtime, i sold mine when it was pumped quite a bit around 12 months ago and i thought it had since dies, but i looked at its price yesterday, and they were trading at 3 cents each!
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: January 13, 2016, 12:59:28 AM
At these exchange

We must outrank nem

China people and these exchnge is buying like crazyyyyyy

Outrank. coin called Yuan Bao YBcoin, on an exchange called Yuan Bao Hui, where their contact email (as listed here hxxp://www.yuanbaohui.com/stocks) is ybw@yuanbao.com

Man! Pull yourself together!

So, the Chinese Economy is a falsehood backed with lies and manipulation, and now they're attempting to do the same thing in the Crypto sphere.

Eh, this is nothing new. As i always say: Money talks, bullshit walks. (Or, rather, humans relentless greed in pursuing wealth in it's form).

Sadly people won't see past this bullshittery and they'll get burnt by it too. This sorta thing is precisely why the crypto markets arn't taken seriously.

Something not adding up about YBcoin, the thread does not even seem very active at all, and i can find very little about it on the internet.

This really speaks for itself. Heavy manipulation incoming from China.

Very risky move, but it could have been worth buying some during the pump and then dump the lot before collapse.
Probably what everyone is doing.
Only needs one or two people to create some high buy orders to get everyones attention.

Can the public know how many devs this coin has? It seems someone enters this coin every now and then.
I would like to read more about the weaver, where can I find some more info?
Why don't you have an internet site for god's sake  Grin

4 developers, full time - Spencer Lievens, Matthew Langdon, Amir Abrams, Gregory Betz (in order of joining)

1 developer, work hand-in-hand - Alistair Clark a.k.a Infernoman i.e. Transfercoin

2 freelancers, whenever needed - Sakr (Mobile Applications) and Wolf0 (Algorithms/Programming)

Thanks a lot for your answer and I think you replied to my other question here

Sorry I cannot find any information how Darksilk will be executed. Could you point to any white paper or homage where I find condensed information instead of this giant progress-thread.

Will you burn Silk to get Darksilk or is Darksilk a new start with initial mining with no connection to old Silkcoin?

Best regards
Oneoff

The whitepaper is due to be edited to be brought in-line with the code that is also about to be changed a bit too.

https://t.co/iUddqRZ5N8

Fundamentally the whitepaper is correct but some figures need changing and the PoW period is not for a set period, it is indefinate for DarkSilk.

Silk replaces Silkcoin, 1:1 swap, indefinite time period as not everyone will be aware and Silkcoin has a HUGE amount of users dotted all over.

DarkSilk, completely new coin, one to take out the competition. The code will talk for itself. Argon2d algo, GPU only (no CPU to stop botnets).

Weaver platform. Basically imagine everything you need, in one place, everything. If it isn't there it is either being developed and being added or hasn't been thought of.

Long term I see the Weaver platform growing. I realise it is a big platform full of various systems already, but in my eyes, at launch, this is nothing, compared to what is coming.

Ok, I might invest in silkcoin soon. I saw trading is available on Poloniex, I'll follow it. Thanks

Yes, i think now is a very good time to buy.  Cheesy

A few hundred thousand is rediculous. It is well over a million and I wouldnt be surprised if it was in the 2 million range.

The IRS estimated users of bitcoin to be 100,000. Other than that, I haven't really seen any reliable statistics.

The other thing is there is a big difference between active users and speculators.
Probably alot of accounts holding BTC just sitting there.

There probably more than a million people holding BTC, but how many are actively using it?
There is also no way of knowing how many addresses are linked to the same person, as alot of people will hold multiple BTC addresses.
