Is there a simply guide how to build the Dash Linux daemon from source? i read the instructions in the source but I was having building problems and thought that there might be something that I was missing or that the build environment is incorrect.
This one https://github.com/dashpay/dash/blob/master/doc/build-unix.md ? What kind of build problems did you have? Post error here and we'll try to help. And btw, check "Dependencies" section there first. Thanks UdjinM6 for the pointer, I'm checking it out and correcting a few errors; I had the wrong version of libdb and also no swap space. Fixing these problems and trying again. Update: seems now that when running make, it crashes when attempting to build libbitcoin_server_a-main.o ~/dash_git/dash$ make Making all in src make[1]: Entering directory `/home/****/dash_git/dash/src' make[2]: Entering directory `/home/****/dash_git/dash/src' CXX libbitcoin_server_a-main.o g++: internal compiler error: Killed (program cc1plus) Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. Updated to v50 and got an error: ************************ EXCEPTION: St9bad_alloc std::bad_alloc dash in ProcessMessages()
************************ EXCEPTION: St9bad_alloc std::bad_alloc dash in ProcessMessages()
I got everything restarted again via cron so it seems everything is up and running. I just haven't seen this exception thrown out in the console before.

Just wanted to give you a special thanks mate! Your scripts are going to be lifesavers for many happy masternode users

v46 is working much better for me as well. But I seem to have lost two payouts as of now. I saw that others were not receiving payouts for blocks found by XxDotRpSDzgyAkx3jHkLZD8YYZRwbcjmmA, and now myself included. Enforcement would be nice again.

Thanks aleix, I'll have a look there and report my findings if they are not already noted.

Odd... whenever my masternode wants to right to mncache.dat the daemon crashes. I will try deleting the file and start again. Might be useful for others to know, if there client is constantly crashing too.

Is hosting a masternode user friendly?
You might need to understand a tiny bit of Linux, but yes it's pretty easy.

V12.0.45 is working great for me, really impressive work, all the new tools, wallet repair, backups, syncing budgets, sporks, everything is super slick. It feels like a huge step forward, looking forward to what we can do with the budget system. v12.0.45 crashed all my MNs every two days. Still can't find the problem. Very frustrating. Since 8 days without any payment for all my MNs. Same problem here running the .45 daemon. I did catch an error in the console after a crash, but I don't understand what it refers to: ~/dash-0.12.0/bin$ terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc' what(): std::bad_alloc
I'm running on a small digitalocean droplet with Ubuntu 14.04 server. All up to date and otherwise working as expected. My dash masternode seems to stop 1-2 times every 24-48h so I need to constantly keep an eye on it.

I lost a payment due to problems with the v44 daemon. But at least someone else got the benefit for having a working masternode in my place

TanteStefana2, not sure if this is relevant for you, but I recall an issue I had a year ago with my isp: they had some local cache that served files to all users. In one case the file that I wanted got corrupted in some cache system, and no matter what I did I could not download a working version whatsoever. One thing worth trying would be to download the wallet via a vpn? Or if you have a linux vps, download it directly to it rather than your home box? wget https://www.dashpay.io/binaries/dash-0.12.0.44-linux64.tar.gz tar zxvf dash-0.12.0.44-linux64.tar.gz and you're good to go.

... Can anyone tell me please if there has been an update? ...
I have had problems with the dashd Linux 64bit version as well running as a masternode. It kept on crashing for me every 1-2 hours or so. Running the QT-wallet on a different 64bit virtual linux machine seems to be working well though. I too am waiting for the .45 release but it hasn't been posted to dashpay.io yet from what I can tell.

Got my masternode updated and started from the cold wallet. But I can't seem to see it in the masternode list? I guess I'll have to wait for the nodes to sync up properly.
Great work DASH Team, really appreciate all the hard efforts to bring V12 to the network!

My unofficial DASH promo-VIDEO №1 «Dash is the best alternative to Bitcoin» ...
Looks really good Alex! I don't speak so much Russian, but I did appreciate the quality and the informative factor! Well done!

ugh -
I rarely miss a MN payment and mine should have hit in the past 24 hours I think my MN was down for about 8 hours - twice - since the last payout -can't remember how many days ago that was - hummmmm
Maybe I dropped off long enough to be missed? I've had the MN down, at various times and purposefully due to only having 1 Pi running (long story) but I still got paid....
thoughts?
I too got a late payment, nearly 7 days since last time, but then it came through. And similar to you I had some half day downtime on my droplet at digitalocean. Give it a day or so, the payment is likely to show up soon! Also, you can check with dashninja.pl when your payments have occuried.

Really impressive eduffield, can't wait to see this on the mainnet!

Seems like a nifty gadget for both BTC and Dash. Could use a few of those

Make that 2831 2832, still increasing I see.

yay, first payment above 2.2 and it was double of what I have received so far Looks like the masternodes will be getting ever so slightly increasing payments as the blocks stack up. Last Paid 4.411 DASH (6 hours 7 minutes 58 seconds ago)

@oblox @Rux @UdjinM6 Thanks people for the info. Now I know and will keep an eye out for the coming payments to trickle in. Nice links, will have them bookmarked for future references!
