1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the altcoin bull run will begin in 2024? on: January 01, 2024, 04:11:02 PM
I'm obviously somebody who believes trading in altcoins is the right way to maximize profits. Now that we're getting close to a new Bitcoin bull cycle, I just wanted to know how soon do you think altcoins will take flight? Are you following the Altcoin Season Index?
You believe that Bitcoin's bull run cycle is coming and that is just a signal for you. Why not make itself as your way to maximize profits since you already aware of it.

But if you want take on it, this is very simple and everyone knows it even you that after bull run of Bitcoin then the alts do follow next

Although no one knows when the flight will commence.
1162  Other / Off-topic / Re: My extended gratitude and good wishes on: January 01, 2024, 03:04:55 PM
Happy new year, Troy and all. The past years have taught me to be grateful with life and everything that I have. I dont have to stress myself out and compete with others lives because I will never win with that battle.

I will choose my own happiness and my family as well. No grand or festive type of foods on our table this new year but thank God we are all healthy.

For the others that are insecure with other people and their achievements, this time I tell you to choose yourself and never look at them.

Do things according to your own decisions and happiness without regrets. Life is not a competition.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 31, 2023, 11:20:22 PM
Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
Online or offline, it is still both gambling. The risk reduction depends on you and how you will deal with it. IMO, the thing here as a gambler and either of the choice you do, what important is the amount you gamble

That is one factor in reducing the risk. Also, if you will gamble then always set a limit and games you play. Typically, luck based games are uncontrollable and hard to win against unlike games like sportbetting where you can use analysis and strategies.

I apologize for the broken English
Don't be sorry for that because most of us here aren't even native English speakers and you're a good one, believe us.

I manage a database and google cloud storage for a crypto company from home and in my free time I post on the forum to get some additional BTC. Since I work from home I get to spend time with my child.
What company are you working for if you don't mind telling it? I have been dreaming of someday working for a company that's focused in cryptocurrencies. And working from home let everyone redeemed themselves from the hectic office schedules and daily commute and traffic.

Not that much difference as per OP and the others on how it goes here weekly.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying and Losing My First Bitcoin on: December 31, 2023, 10:08:30 PM
How did it feel when you first invested in Bitcoin?
I think many have the same experience as yours losing their very first Bitcoin investment because of HYIP.

Way back then, those things were like a thing and they've been popular and many were naïve enough to get fooled by them.

My feeling was just, "let's get it on and see where it heads". Nothing unusual but I've just realized it that it was a nice decision when I see it pumping.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The frustrations in loosing a huge bet when your winning was so assured. on: December 31, 2023, 09:33:13 PM
That is what you call the twist of your lifetime, joke but only twist. Honestly, it is one of the beauty of sports and gambling.

When you see your bet started to lose and you think that it is going to be until the end of the game but all of a sudden there goes a twist.

This is commonly known in boxing like lucky punch, one lucky punch indeed and that is the same with other sports, they all have this twist so bettors are affected too.

You understand the content of this thread in opposite way. It’s not the lucky twist but rather the bad luck twist because he lose at the end of his game after winning in the beginning.
Did I understood it the opposite? I don't think so and yes, that's just plainly twist for me whether it's good or bad, it's same IMO.

I rarely experienced this on my gambling because I always stopped immediately whenever my winning streak is already broken or I can’t win anymore on a consecutive bets after experiencing an early good run. Anyone that is losing in the end after winning early doesn’t know how RTP works since you will surely lose in the end of gambling if you will never stop playing.
That's good if you rarely experience and you always take what's yours when you gamble or the profits that you should make.

Understanding RTP or not, sometimes it's just pure fun and enjoyment that keeps on pushing the gamblers and that's why everybody does lose at the end.

You get the idea that before the halving, prices are cheap but it is not easy for you to do that because you will just hear it from us that you should buy and it is never too late for you to invest.

All the suggestions that it is not too late for you buy. Now it is going to be your decision if you are going to buy because we have already told you to that it is fine to invest in Bitcoin.

We keep seeing newbies ask this questions and our answers are not going to change.
1169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: December 31, 2023, 08:49:48 AM
Once a someone has developed an addiction to online gaming, I don't think quitting will be simple. One issue about gambling is that it might be hard to break the habit if it's ingrained in you or if it makes you feel addicted. That's how you play without getting anything out of it, even if you're still losing. However, some people think they will always win a bet, regardless of the circumstances. A person who enjoys gambling shouldn't compare himself to those lengendaries because it has been a while since they were in it and they also have sufficient understanding about it.
It is not simple and easy to quit gambling and it is even harder when you are addicted. But as OP is suggesting, it is whatever you see that can possibly help you to quit, do it. Even it is hard but it is helping you to quit, that is all what you need to think of.

Because we know that it is hard and then we do not do something to help ourselves, that means that we have already gave up and it is no use to do anything to quit.

But if you insist and persevere to do all of those actions you think are relevant to quitting, just continue what you have started.
1170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you ready for crypto investing in 2024? on: December 31, 2023, 07:32:48 AM
Honestly, I'm not ready yet. I haven't prepaid anything yet, I'm new to crypto and I'm still learning so I'm really nervous right now. Hoping that what I do will be okay because we are talking about money.
That's fine if you are still or you think that you're still into crypto. Because no matter how long you are or early you are but you have no plans at all do such things for the upcoming potential bull run, that's all what matters.

You will be doing okay and all you have to do is to think of how you're going to prepare yourself on it and prepare your money on it and don't forget that it must be your spare money.

Most of the investors here are risk takers and what we've done in the past have taught us a lot to take them whether it is big or low risk.

If you're into Bitcoin, the risk won't matter at all if you're patient.
1171  Other / Off-topic / Re: Depression on: December 31, 2023, 04:09:01 AM
That is sad and a father like him can't be blamed if he is feeling bad and want to take his own life. His family is his life.

His son is also his life and that is why there are fathers that cannot forgive themselves if something happens to their children whether it is by their fault or not.

They have a legitimate feeling that they are to be blamed because they are their parent.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Too Broke To Own Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2023, 08:44:46 PM
To be honest, I don't really own bitcoins because I do not HODL. I always see myself selling my coins due to one issue or another, possibly because I really cannot afford to live my dream of holing until Bitcoin makes me rich.

In practice, I barely earn more than $3000 from my job, my wife's mortgage, and other demands waiting to snap up the money. Sometimes I sell in a bull market, and other times I sell in a bear market. Would you say that holding BTC isn't for everyone? Am I not too broke to depend on Bitcoin for financial freedom? Yeah, I'm working for my financial independence, but Bitcoin has remained a peripheral component of that plan. Only if I can HODL for a few years.

Do you comfortably HODL? 300% is quite a lot. 1000% for me is a dream.
I am comfortably holding and you're earning more than what I am earning.

I think it's all about your management and the expenses that you're having. If there are some not mandatory expenses that you have on your spendings, what you have to do is to try to lessen or remove them.

You're not broke but it is that you've got obligations and with that, another solution is to increase your source of income and that's for sure going to help.
1173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Master the Art of Crypto Trading with These 5 Simple Tips on: December 30, 2023, 04:32:18 PM
Those are not simple tips. They sound simple upon reading it but when it's about the actuality of it, that's not how it goes.

It's like different encounters that we have when we trade but someone who's willing to go for miles and become a great trader someday, it's going to take a lot of time.

But it's a good guide at all but we mostly see the same tips from other sources that also like to help and guide aspiring traders.
1174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 30, 2023, 03:25:47 PM
In my opinion, gambling has two points of view, where there are those who consider it as entertainment and actually gamble just for entertainment without thinking about or even pursuing victory. and the second is for those who make or think about pursuing victory at gambling with that aim, they also have the opinion that they can get rich quickly, and the side that causes a lot of addiction is the side that thinks that gambling can make you rich quickly, because that is what they are looking for. It's not fun but a big win that can change a person's life to become rich, but the reality is the opposite, usually people who think gambling can make them rich tend to become addicted to gambling and spend a lot of money gambling because winnings are difficult to get, which makes them always want to gamble. can get big wins.
There is indeed a chance of getting a big win that might change someone's life, but the chance is small, perhaps it could also be said to be almost impossible. You're right, it's better to think again if you really want to get out of poverty by gambling, because it doesn't guarantee anything at all.
Those typically are us.

Sometimes we're here to gamble for fun and we don't care whether we'll be winning or we're just having fun without minding about what will be the actual results.

Sometimes, we're too curious and serious and we don't want to see anything that's going to lose us money. It all depends on how we're in the mood with those classifications that we are when we gamble.
1175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: December 30, 2023, 01:35:56 PM
Now that there will be ETF and the financial institutions are already in. This is going to make anyone wanting to hold more of their Bitcoins. While it's totally precious before and there have been folks that keep them reminded not to sell just because it's going down.

The thing here is going to make everyone notice of how much more its importance and significance on the upcoming years.

One has to decide for so many times before the final decision of selling some or even entirely.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: December 30, 2023, 11:57:08 AM
Is Pacquiao running out of money now? Just thinking about that but the passion will remain as he's a fighter, he'll always be.

These exhibition matches are going to be quick payment for him and whoever is going to agree fighting him. Well, at least we're still able to watch him fight before he fully retires and out of these fights.

I guess both fighters will just don't take it as if it's an exhibition match.
1177  Other / Off-topic / Re: Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming on: December 30, 2023, 11:23:05 AM
We can see that there is people want to play this game but do not like games. It is going to be more like a movie then it will be a video game so there is alot of interest about it.

And the trailer now has 158 Million views in only 2 weeks. That is 11 Million views for each day. Which I have not seen that before for a video game trailer.
That's how they prepared the game well. They've said that the budget entirely including the marketing and all of the other expenses in making this game is around $2B.

Yep, that's billion as they say.

I guess that after this release, it's going to take another decade before we see the next version of it. But this is for sure where everyone is going to pour their money as there might be the better open world version of it.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see individual satoshi becoming valuable? on: December 30, 2023, 01:56:04 AM
So, do I think this will happened?
Yes this could happened, but not in near future, it will be a long road.
It is a long road until we see that each satoshi is going to be valuable. But just like the pennies that we have, it's important to complete and entire thousand.

That's what I can see from it and it's just like a perspective of someone who values money. If you're going to look at the entirety of it, you see those calculations and that makes sense to see its worth.

Maybe a cent per satoshi might come but how much Bitcoin should be by that time?
1179  Other / Off-topic / Re: Christmas on: December 30, 2023, 12:48:50 AM
This is a long debate between non believers and believers. While there are people proclaims that they are Christians but disagree celebrating CHRISTmas.

What is it all about that people celebrate that day? It's about the birth of Christ and that's why whether it's on winter, summer or right date or not.

The spirit is the same and that is all about the birth of the Savior that came to save everyone from sins. Just like you and me, we've got our birthday celebrations and sometimes we miss the actual date and it's just an agreement for most of the parts of the world to stay on significant day to celebrate it.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bull run - how to not sell too early? on: December 29, 2023, 11:45:36 PM
As an investor the you have to work with good information with fact and confirmations, don't believe hear say, in Bitcoin investment, your decision matters too, don't depend on advise from either friends or articles online, just know that most if those can be deceitful, make sure you have a good plan before taking your decision to invest in bitcoin, is only an investors without focus that will be a pushover when it comes to decision taking, sincerely speaking, selling during the first bull run is your is your personally thing but if am permitted to advise anyone intellect to this, I will say that's premature selling because the price might appreciate a bit, you may regret such act if this happens.
Be careful of your friends too.

When we're in a bull run and they've missed buying on the dip. And they are the type of people that don't want to see others happy with their gains, they are for sure going to say that just sell so that all of you have no longer any holdings.

That's what they want to have and just to make sure that you're on the right track. Set yourself a plan that you'll follow on this season and never agree to anyone quickly if they suggest some tips.
