1181  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is tax relief ever a solution to the effect of the fuel subsidy removal? on: June 10, 2023, 10:53:37 PM
Everyone knows what is going on in the country now, the fuel subsidy seems to have been removed even before the official budgeted date and might continue to go up to at least N750 in the nearest future. The effect will by no doubt bite hard as the cost of transportation, commodity prices and others are now taking an upward direction.

Tax relief no go get any effect, how much tax wey we dey even pay self? We aren't been taxed that much when you reason other countries own but e dey okay self because even with all the taxation nothing go still improve for the country instead na some politicians go dey one side chop all the money finish. Me I support wetin all man dey talk here way be the increase of minimum wage. Atleast make we make am the least 100k per month because dat 200k just dey too much to achieve and I hope una understand say just increasing minimum wage no go solve our problems because as it stands, no subsidy again meaning filling stations fit sell as them like.

Immediately minimum wage increase na so every other thing go increase, filling station fit add price and foodstuffs and transpiration go add price too. One thing for this country na say, price increase for one side they affect the rest part of the country. People go reason say since government dun increase minimum wage say money dey ground and dem go increase the price of their service (increasing their own minimum wage). Make we no go create another problem for ourselves say we wan solve subsidy wahala.

1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 10, 2023, 10:30:18 PM
I see now that Moutinho from Wolves could be the next to join the Saudi League. It’s a real shame Messi didn’t go there but that just proves that money can’t buy everything. It’s a really different life out there but it doesn’t seem to be stopping multiple older stars from swapping Europe for Saudi Arabia. Will be really interesting to see how the league develops over the next few years.

Actually money can buy everything because in this case, Messi is going to get a better deal at MLS than the Saudi Arabia league. The Saudis came with offers that'll only benefit Messi instantly but the offers of MLS would benefit Messi for a life time. He's going to get a share in apple share and adidas and might also be getting similar deal to David Beckham deals that'll give him the right to buy a club for much lesser market value than the club will be valued as of when he wants to purchase the club. Messi deals hasn't been fully revealed but there's every chance it was the better deal than what the Saudis were offering. I'm glad too that Messi didn't go to Saudi Arabia because that would have shifted the whole attention to the league and it would had spoiled football.

I'm not happy Ronaldo is playing there either, he should look for a way to come back to Europe and entertain us because football has been boring lately (nothing special is happening in Europe). No spectacular display anymore. Kante moving to Saudi Arabia is understandable and the same thing with Benzema because this guys has nothing left to offer to football in Europe, Kante is wornout and Benzema needs to give room for younger strikers to shine at Real Madrid to help them compete with clubs like Manchester city in the champions league.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 10, 2023, 08:01:10 PM
Chelsea are expecting to face competition from Real Madrid in their pursuit of the Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez. Signing a striker is among the primary objectives for Chelsea this summer and Martínez, the 25-year-old Argentina forward, is high on the club’s list of possible targets.
I think that if it's gonna be a difficult competition for chelsea and real madrid. We do know that even though messi has been performing so badly this season but it has a new coach that gives chelsea hope to be able to perform better next season.
It seems like that madrid is also seriously trying to sign lautaro martinez as a replacement for benzema but im not sure if he will able to suit to the real madrid. In my opinion that if intermilan will not also let lautaro to leave from the club.
If intermilan will able to win UCL and im sure that if intermilan is not willing to sell him to the another club. Madrid and chelsea have been facing same problems as these clubs didn't have good striker right now.
Chelsea may able to include lukaku in the deal for lautaro's transfer too.

Why is Real Madrid still going after a striker, thought they were interested in Kai Havertz and Chelsea has given a go ahead to the player to leave the club. Although Kai Havertz isn't a typical striker but he can play the role very well and gives room for other forwards to get goals as he was doing at Chelsea the first season he got signed. Chelsea shoudn't be getting into unnecessary competition, we shouldn't be buying players that are high in price or we'll over spend when we haven't gotten our priority players. If the players doesn't want to come to Chelsea, we shouldn't try to convince him by bidding higher. We need players that want to play for Chelsea not those coming because of the money.

Pochettino should try strikers that have already proven it in the premier league so we can get the ground kicking when the season starts and not another lies of telling ourselves to give the players some time to adjust to the premier league. Him should visit some lower clubs or probably the relegated teams to get players at very low cost that'll play with all their mind to get a name, we don't need players that have to wait several matches adjusting, we need those that can hit the ground running and get us the goals we lacked in the season that just ended.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 10, 2023, 06:54:03 PM
Manchester City has everything to starting this match that they have Haaland as top scorer, De Bruyne as top assists and they status is still unbeatable with the most productive team in this competition with 31 goals and after seeing these statistics obviously they have good chances to gets their first trophy in this competition but Inter also have high motivation to win the match too and since group stage Inter is underrated because they were at hell group with Bayern Munich and Barcelona but Inter can able to escape from that group and now advance to final match

Manchester city has so many superstition going against them and I hope it doesn't get to their head and unbalance them. The last thing West Ham united won a European competition (as they just did with the conference league) inter Milan won the champion league and other superstition has been playing in the favour of Inter Milan with the biggest been that Manchester city doesn't have a Croatia player in their team and the previous champion league winners always had a Croatia player in their squad. The line up just came out and although Manchester city has a good formation but it seems Pep Guardiola is overthinking  again, dropping Kyle Walker to the bench, I hope he doesn't regret that decision.

The last time he over thought in a champion league finals which was against Chelsea (by playing without a defensive midfielders) he lost the finals. This might be his only chance to be able to complete the treble so he shouldn't fuck this up as next season, the competition will be tougher and he won't get this chance again even in the champions league as Real Madrid are regrouping (considering they just let go of Benzema to Saudi Arabia while signing Jude Bellingham from Dortmund) also they will be adding new signing before the transfer window ends. I wish Manchester city successful lift the trophy tonight though.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: June 10, 2023, 06:34:13 PM
My main concerns were on the manchester united and chelsea for next season. it's caused by manchester united possibly to be acquired by sheikh jassim and chelsea will come with the new squad as pochettino was coming to the chelsea.
It's likely if the next season gonna be a harder season. Birghton, newcastle or even westham will be playing even better. Im sure the competition to get tickets for UCL will be very strict.
Chelsea will come back next season to the competition of big 4 in EPL. My feeling said that if chelsea may not able to win UCL next season but it will be showing different performance compared with the last season when chelsea faces so many lose streaks in EPL.
I hope there will be major improvements to happen with chelsea and manchester united very soon.

You can count on Chelsea to deliver next season, Pochettino isn't a bad coach. For over four seasons I watched him keep Tottenham at the top without much funding from the owners of the club but now he's incharge of a club that didn't shy away from spending so I'm expecting him to achieve greatness with Chelsea. Next season Chelsea will not be under any pressure as they won't be playing any European football therefore they'll have all the time to train and rest after each premier league game next season and the last time Chelsea was in such a position they win the Premier league with Conte so I'm expecting something similar form Pochettino as we're already assured of finishing in top 4.

Wth Manchester united i have no expectations from them then qualifying for the top 4 position again by the end of the season. Only Newcastle I think will leave the top 4 by the end of the season then Arsenal and Liverpool fight for the last spot. It might not technically mean they'll finish 4th but one of them will be among the clubs to qualify in the top 4 position. Chelsea has to get it right this time around, last season has to be a season we should forget about because nothing was just going our way and that's because we sacked our manager and hired an inexperienced manager thinking we hired a top manager.
1187  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 10, 2023, 05:45:47 PM
Permit me to establish a point here. It might have been said that non-custodial wallets are the best...blah blah...which I do not doubt for safekeeping. However, many of you are disregarding the context of making more money with your coin, and by virtue of this neglecting the styles, goals and investment plans which must vary. Personally, my goal is to make money with Bitcoin and I plan to make it in both risky and less risky ways.

There's a difference between putting your Bitcoin to work and storing your Bitcoin on exchanges. If you're trading I believe you don't use all you Bitcoin to trade so it's better you transfer those Bitcoin that aren't been used to trade to a Non-custodial wallets while you use those left in the exchange for trading. Funds in exchange should be funds that are affordable for you to lose and since those are trading coins then they fit that narrative as you should only use coins that are affordable to you to lose for trading as well. You can always transfer your coins form your non-custodial wallets to an exchange for investment purpose but don't store your coins on exchanges.

No centralized exchange is too big to fail, Binance exchange can fail tomorrow irrespective of how big they're so we have to be cautious with decisions we take concerning our finances. Many people have lost all their savings to hacks of exchanges in the past, you shouldn't make yourself a victim when you have the chance to take precautions now. Transferring your coin would only cost you few cents or dollars for transaction fees and that shouldn't bother you. It should be an expenses you can risk instead of losing all your investment to a mistakes that's not from you. You'll blame yourself for life when that happens as you lose your coin due to an exchange getting hacked.
1188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you still buying? on: June 10, 2023, 05:30:39 PM
On the contrary I would say this is best time for investment because at these times it's available at discounted rates so grab this chance. But there are people thinking opposite that it would not rise and panic sell which turns out to be their mistake. So think wisely and invest but keep it safe with you for a long term if you need actual returns. The difference of opinion is what makes you provide that profit ratio in your portfolio.

Anybody thinking Bitcoin won't rise again lacks experience and that's one of the major problem of most (so called investors) in the industry. They enter the market and get lucky with an investment and they begin to think they know better. Bitcoin is in a bear market at the moment so we can expect the price to dip whenever there's a bad news concerning the industry like now that we have the SEC sueing Binance and Coinbase exchange. Those are the two biggest exchange in the industry so In situations like this it's okay for Bitcoin to take some hit and drop in price but that doesn't mean the market won't recover ever against.

The market will recover and it'll will happen so fast that you might miss it that's why it's best you make your investments now that the market is in red and everybody is panicking. When you buy now you are assured of getting bitcoin at a very lower price than those who will buy later. There has not been a time when after the bear market that Bitcoin didn't recover, it has always done so and it'll happen again because that's the cycle of the market. Bitcoin block reward halving will come and the interest in the market will increase rapidly, if you didn't invest now by then it might be too late (concerning you're thinking of making profits by selling after the bull market).
1189  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam de for p2p transactions? on: June 09, 2023, 09:21:00 PM
Dis question na from information wey I gather from unreliable source, na im make I say as I don enter reliable bitcoin forum, make I ask di question? Secondly e get any oda country wey dem government ban bitcoin wey dem de use dis p2p system?

Just as others dun talk na so e dey, make I just add small mouth for the mata too. We get two ways of exchanging wey be centralized and decentralized. All this binance dem, and other top exchanges wey be centralized exchange, if you use them run P2P, your funds no fit loss to some extent because if you fit proven say you never received the money (that's if you they sell) and you dun send the money (that's if you they buy) then una go enter appeal court (for the exchange) una go prove who dey lie and if you win you go receive your Bitcoin or money. Scammers dey those platforms too but dem dey in the minimum because dem get to do KYC before dem become merchant to the sell and buy Bitcoin.

Now for decentralized P2P wey you dey do with another human being without any website, e better you only trade with person wey you know very well if not dem go scam you. The scamming fit dun reduce but some persons still dey fall mugu and that's why we still get this type of scammers full Telegram and WhatsApp. If you no wise dem go scam you and dey very cautious of all those high fee merchant because na them be the scammers. Government no ban Bitcoin but ban banks from trading Bitcoin and that's why you no fit trade Bitcoin directly with banks but things fit change, Tinubu dun suspend the current CBN governor now now.
1190  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A better Nigeria on: June 09, 2023, 08:49:56 PM
I think the newly elected government go better pass the previous one and president tinibu go help improve our economy, education and technology just like e been do to lagos state when em be governor.
Judging from how em done take dey open borders and a lot of promises wey em done make, eh even talk say eh carry the youths for mind and most of the people eh go give appointments na youth.
Wetin una think about this talk?

Make e no be say all this one na talk talk political capping, I hope him follow everything up because me I dun dey like as him dey run the government already. I like the idea say him dey try new things wey the previous governments dem never try. Worst part e no work den to go back to a system wey no dey work since. Abi una no hear say Cameroon dey protest subsidy wey Tinubu commot for Nigeria. As I see the news the thing just weak me, e mean say Tinubu no been dey joke when him talk say we just dey subsidized fuel for other African countries dey suffer our own. Signs already dun dey should say we dey in good hands.

Sha make we no dey too quick to judge am because na so Buhari government start, everything been dey go smoothly but in the next tenure na so yawa just gaz. You know say when something dun too bad, the next person just get dey receive praises even when dem no do anything. As the country dun bad so, anybody fit enter the seat and make the country breath small air because no how dem wan worst past the last administration. Make we just give the man support and better time and see how he's going to handles the country.
1191  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoins for naija need prayer support on: June 09, 2023, 08:37:07 PM
As new government enter now, we pray make bad belle people no give am wrong advice on bitcoins ooo, if not we go hit another rock for Bitcoin matter for naija. People wey no like bitcoins make them no rish the position of special advicer to the president. Make we just get ready and full of prayer oooo.

No be the government wey dey against Bitcoin na CBN governor. That man na very bad man, him just dey introduced rubbish ideas but everything go work in our favor sha because I dey hear say Tinubu go find way make him commot am and another governor enter that seat wey no go dey anti Bitcoin by God grace. Tinubu like blockchain from wetin I dun see so some of the laws fit favor us small. During the election, the current CBN governor no been dey side Tinubu so make we dey wait see how things go be. Nobi everything be prayer, we need a working system. If na some countries now, we for just sign impeachment petition, him supposed step down ASAP..

But now sha everything dey tinubu hand, everybody wey dey ASO rock go be him loyalist so make we see how him go play the politics take commot that rubbish man wey dat the CBN governor seat. Make him too carry him eNaira and new naira noted dem commot for seat make better person wey get better future visions for the country enta take over. This CBN governor really kill us and sent us years back because Buhari no been get problem with Bitcoin or blockchain. I just dey imagine if everything been dey as e dey before the rubbish laws. We for dun go far for this blockchain things for the country.

1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: June 07, 2023, 03:44:00 PM
If anyone is looking for who to compare with Haaland, the person can choose Salah. Even at that Haaland needs to be as this wonder by next season before we could start such a comparison between him and Salah.
As long as the world of football is concerned, the only person worthy to be compared with Ronaldo is Messi, apart from that no more.
Those two guys are in the league of their own and are not compared outside their two.

It's a disrespect to compare Haaland with Mo Salah. Haaland is just a goal scorer but Mo Salah is more than a goal scorer and also has the champions league to his name and has been carrying Liverpool for years now. Haaland just come this season and he isn't even the one carrying Manchester city. We all know the engine behind the success of that club and it's Kevin Kevin De Bruyne. Haaland is just lucky to play in a team like Manchester city that everything has be done for him and all he has to do is to tap the ball into the net. Even the almighty Ronaldo didn't just score tap in as Erling Haaland is doing.

Haaland has his peers and they're Victor Osimhen, Mbappe etc. Mo Salah also has his peers which are Harry Kane, Sadio mane, and the rest. Messi and Ronaldo are on a different level of greatness. They dominated football together and won everything possible with Ronaldo conquered the. Champions League and Messi has now won the world cup so it looks like he's now the favorite to be declared the Goat but that doesn't silence the impact Cristiano Ronaldo has on the pitch with his goals.
1195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 07, 2023, 03:06:39 PM
So, why would anyone in their right mind take the risk of storing your crypto on exchange? When it usually means that the exchange retains control (or 'custody') of your assets without giving you access to the private keys. Also, they can disappoint you at any time.

Just because wallets gives you your privacy key doesn't mean you'll be safe from hacks. Don't only rely on only what a wallet tells you about their service because Atomic wallet told their customers they were a decentralized Non custodial wallet then how did the hackers get access to customers private key to withdraw their coins without their approval. Atomic wallet is a closed source wallets so nothing can be verified and we still have to believe whatever explanation they come out with. As you use non custodial wallet, make sure they're open source like Electrum.

Exchanges shouldn't be used as a wallet neither should all wallet that are available are safe to be used for holding of your coins. If you don't know what wallet to trust, ask questions on the forum and you'll be enlightened because many users are yet to understand the disadvantage of using some wallets that's are vey popular at the moment. Not only centralized service are awful to use, we also have some services that's are decentralized yet not advisable to be used due to them been closed source.
1196  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naira exchange unification on: June 07, 2023, 10:54:00 AM
What do you people think would happen if the president make sure there is naira unification? Is it going to help Nigeria economy? We all know that if that is what would happen, CBN rate is going to become the parallel rate or there will be more decreasing of foreign reserves in Nigeria because we depend more on imports.

The unification fit help the naira welle because na this different price dey make banks hide dollars from us because dem know say if dem carry am go black market dem go make enough profits but if e come be say everywhere na the same rate then dollars go flow well for the country but wait oh, how the government want take achieve this one. Make dem no do another kind of subsidy policy wey na rubbish from day one. Tinubu need to know say him no go fit do everything or atleast do all of them one time. Make him take am easy (one after another) make people no take advantage of this him policy's dem use rip us.

Him just declaring the rate no go help matters as na the market dey determined price and not the government. Wetin him go put things in place to make sure all rate na the same for everywhere still never understand. Unification go help economy as goods no go too cost as dem dey cost now. People no go fit lie for dollar rate wey dem dey use add price to the market (goods and services wey dem dey offer). Belike tinubu get better plans for Nigeria but make e no too get over him head make them no all fail, remember (jack of all trades is a master of non).
1197  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: It would have been worse without Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general. on: June 07, 2023, 10:25:48 AM
BTC, other cryptocurrencies and the Blockchain technology in general has been a saviour to this philosophy of government, thereby freeing us, its citizens of hardship and over reliance on the corrupt leaders who loot to fill their bellies.
Thanks to the brains behind the brilliance of the digital currency and the block chain network, which had led to advancement in technology, innovation and has Forstered a new catalyst of job creation.

No vex oh, make I ask you one question. You dey truely make money from the industry like directly and not getting paid through Bitcoin as a signature participants making you think it's all because of the industry that you're receiving payment here (Hope you know we have other platforms dat you can write articles and do other things that relate to writing and still get paid be it in Bitcoin or fiat currency). When I mean making money from the industry I dey talk about investing, trading, mining, staking etc all those ways wey be say na direct involvement with cryptocurrency wey dey make you get the  rubbers.

Without Bitcoin and cryptocurency life for still soft for me so I'm not seeing it as a big deal although it helped because it's easier with cryptocurency than others means. Right from time me I be online person and I mean legitimately oh. Na only online businesses I sabi do and that's how I find this forum self so I no think say it would had been worse for me. I for find way survive that's how it has always been. I dun run blog before get small choppings and do one or two investment wey be say na online but we know as dem dey all end. The Koko be say men fir still find way survive. We get people doing better for themselves but they no dey the industry.
1198  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: NLC threatening government with strike on: June 07, 2023, 08:22:26 AM
What I am thinking is that if fuel subsidy is removed, this will lead to inflation. But why subsidizing what that supposed not to be subsidized? I did not know who or the government that came up with such an idea that is now giving the country problem.

What do you think about this? Are the NLC right about this? Or fuel subsidy should just be removed and see its effect on economy?

How much you dey buy fuel before now, we were still buying fuel at a costly price for a nation that produces oil. Dat subsidy money was been embezzled and that's the hard truth. A selected few were just eating the subsidy money and only a few part of the money was been used to subsidized the fuel. Or dem be dey over estimate the subsidy more so dem fit pocket some. Let that money now be used for something more important in the country. I don't understand why the NLC are striking or are they just lookimg for a compensation on their part. We have been subsidizing fuel for how many years now and still it hasn't changed the situation of Nigeria.

Let the government try something new to see if they'll get a different result. We have to let go of all old policies and try newer one and I'm glad the new administration are thinking about this. Fuel are been exported to other neighboring countries and we don't need the president to tell us that because we can feel it ourselves. We get fuel crises often yet our neighbors that don't have oil don't get fuel crisis, what does that say. They're benefiting from our corrupt politicians and business owners because they can move the fuel to those countries and sell higher so why will dey bring it here that subsidy makes them not to make the kind of profits they make else where
1199  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Two Events that'll Influence the Strength of NGN /USDT on: June 07, 2023, 07:00:11 AM
How do you think these two events could impact the strength of NGN against the USD? Will you buy and save USDTinstead of saving in NGN?

Dangote talk say him go dey export (abi him dey expect to they export)  around 40% of wetin dem refine to outside. When exportation happen for any country e dey introduce foreign exchange so dat one go surely affect dollars. The problem of this xounyna say we no dey export anything sufficient to dey make foreigner dey bring there dollars come the country which side is why dollars hard to get here and this one follow why dollars dey cost. We dey too over value am. Tinubu administration go also help the situation of the country, heim dun first commot subsidy and na better thing be dat. That subsidy dey chase away foreign investors wey for come invest for the refinery and filling stations wey we get to get slots for the profits wey the dem go generate.

When you subsidies something, you make it difficult for competition and without competition and freedom for the market to decide price, investors no go dey interested in that thing. Now wey Tinubu dun comot subsidy na for local refinery to start to dey attract international investors wey go help make dem function. Make the government commot hand for the refinery and dey tax dem but make dem function on their own and watch how dollars go begin enter the country, Naira begin get value and fuel prices begin to come down. Competition go dey for filling station too and no be this nonsense wey dem dey mandate everybody to sell the same price weather you dey make profits or not
