121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 02, 2023, 02:08:39 PM

4 games later. I'd like to see the Phoenix Suns getting their revenge against the San Antonio Spurs.

I like your confidence man, you're taking the spread that is -8, right? Well, I guess it's quite high but given how Spurs humilated the Suns on their first meeting, I'm sure the Suns will not forget that and right from the very start they'll come up with some aggressiveness to ensure they'll have a comfortable lead going forward, they can't let it slip again as 2 straight loss at home against a non playoff team is not good on their record. Again, both Booker and Beal are still out, we will pretty much see the same roster that battled a day before.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: November 01, 2023, 08:46:50 PM
But just imagine though if Francis won the fight,

- possible rematch with Fury which could give me a bigger payday
- derail Fury's fight with Usyk
- and so the hype on his name will continue

However, maybe a draw might be a good score for this fight. But then again, this judges will not allow Francis that score. And it's funny to hear Fury saying that he did not underestimate Francis. But leading up to the fight or even during the fight itself, he thinks that Francis can't hurt him.

Btw, if we look on the score cards, that knockdown in third round only made it 8-10 in Ngannou favour. If there were no knockdown, there will be a UD for Fury. Dont know why people hype so much on this fight. Personally, I am simply more disappointed with Fury performance, than is happy for Ngannou performance. Some say that Ngannou won because he has dropped Fury. But this can be assessed in two ways - Fury stood after that knockdown, which could mean that Ngannou punches aint that fatal for Fury.

The boxing community is disappointed because Fury is having a hard time imposing his skill and power on Ngannou and he is hugging too much when it should be Ngannou who should be holding because he is an MMA where fighters on MMA are used to holding or wrestling a lot, Ngannou is ready to engage but Fury keeps the distance refuse to go toe to toe and worse of all he did not try to get a knock out to even up the knockdown he suffers, so in the end even if Ngannou losses the fight he emerges the winner.
If you look at both fighters, Fury's face is bruised had a black eye and a wounded ego, he is frustrated if you try to read his body language, his alibi is Ngannou's awkwardness when it's really the power.

The boxing community may eventually move past what happened if Fury manages to defeat Usyk in their unification match. It wasn't entirely clear that Fury lost that game; it was a closely contested match, and either fighter could have emerged victorious. That's the nature of boxing, my friend – not everything unfolds as we expect. Even if the boxing community is somewhat dissatisfied, I'm confident that some experts still believe Fury won the fight.

I think the boxing community will move on, but it might take some time though even if he defeats Usyk in December or next year. But for sure the aura of his invincibility has been questioned right now as he narrowly defeated a MMA boxer, getting knock down in the process.

Also to add, just one punch will change everything, like when Francis scored that knock down, Fury changes his style and again, almost upset because he was change off guard by how Francis shows him in this fight and acknowledge that it was a tough fight for him.

Fury could easily whip up an excuse, like not taking the fight seriously because it wasn't for a championship. The world of boxing is full of surprises, and some of it might just be for the fans' entertainment, building up the hype for a potential rematch. It's a business, after all, and you never really know if the outcome is genuine.

But should they go head-to-head again in a rematch, I'm certain Fury will be better prepared and show respect for Ngannou's power. It's a match that's likely to happen because big money is already guaranteed to be made, regardless of the outcome of Fury's bout against Usyk.

124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin Hit $1 Million by 2026? Arthur Hayes Makes Exciting Forecast on: November 01, 2023, 07:21:33 PM
Hayes thinks Bitcoin could become really valuable, like between $750,000 and $1 million by 2026.-Bold Crypto analysis

Bitcoin has been doing well lately, going up by about 29% since March. It almost hit. $30,000 but didn't quite get there. Right now, it's worth more than before when it was around $24,000. Arthur Hayes the cofounder of BitMEX, has a big idea about what might happen with Bitcoin in the future. While banks around the world are making it harder to get money, Hayes thinks Bitcoin could become really valuable, like between $750,000 and $1 million by 2026.

https://www.cryptocrit.xyz/2023/10/crypto-analysis-could-bitcoin-hit-1.html

It's not actually impossible for bitcoin to achieve that price but if we want to assume that it's gonna happen by 2026, I think I won't rely on that. Bitcoin might be a secured and is a guaranteed investment that appreciates its price from time to time, year after year, but we also know how volatility triggers the price so once bitcoin price moves up, it will always create another chance to drop again and that's how the nature of bitcoin is. You can't expect that the price will continuously move up once it reaches a significant price, but will always find a way to drop again due to its price fluctuations. That's how unpredictable bitcoin is, but if faith is already established, no matter how the market crash, we won't be easily triggered and will still expect for bitcoin to reach a new all time high every time.
125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: November 01, 2023, 02:24:47 PM
It really depends on the individual and how quickly they can grasp new things, you know? Learning how to trade is just the beginning, being profitable is a whole different ball game. You can learn a strategy in a month or two, but that doesn't guarantee profitability. It's all about psychology, discipline, and risk management. Those are the keys to long-term success in the market. Understanding the psychology of trading is all about self-awareness, and that's what takes many people years to master. But if you're eager and ready to learn, I think you can become profitable within 6 months to a year. Keep at it
The eagerness and the passion to learn in trading, are not enough to turn you into a profitable trader. Yes, you can learn quickly but the challenge here is not just acquiring learning, but to consistently experience and master trading skills and working strategies. The fact that trading is hard particularly for beginner traders, then it’s a must to practice a lot in trading even through demo account, and when you think you’re ready to conquer live trading, then mastery and expertise in trading should be observed.

Learning in trading is not as easy as it is, that once you master your trades, you are bound to make good profits. To be honest, it takes years to master trading and become profitable in it, while losing at a consistent basis may happen the moment you start trading until you decide to stay trading.
126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin? on: October 31, 2023, 08:59:28 PM
How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin ?
I don't think it will come to affect me badly since we all want that price obviously. And once it happens, then I will start selling some of my coins so I can be in huge profits and live my dream life after. However, it will surely leave a regret for all those who miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin while the price is currently low and still affordable. But we all know this just a dream for now. Bitcoin price will never hit a million price at this very early. Although I believe bitcoin is destined to achieve this price, but definitely there will be big stones to conquer in the process.

For now, let's be more practical and never stop from accumulating bitcoin. While bitcoin halving is getting near, then we should be more prepared with our investment portfolio. In the long run, bitcoin will still be able to achieve a million price, but hopefully its adoption should come first before it reaches a very significant amount.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: October 31, 2023, 02:27:10 PM
How about the PPV? I believe there's a PPV of this fight, and those who aren't able to watch in the venue, they could watch through PPV sponsored by ESPN I think.

There's no PPV on this fight as it can only watch on ESPN+, but there's a subscrition which is.... "You can get an ESPN+ subscription for $10.99 per month,"... So you just have to subscribe ahead of the fight so you'll not miss this upcoming big fight.

Not bad if that's per monthly basis, though if you are not willing to pay that much, I guess streaming will be there. Just navigate and look
for free streams, but expect ads that will keep bothering you from time to time.

For sure, there are streamers who will share it just going to ask for small donation or for viewers to create hypes with their streaming links.

Free streams are readily available and quite common in the Philippines. Many streamers on platforms like Facebook offer free streams and may ask for online donations, but they don't impose any obligation to donate. This makes services like ESPN+ less necessary, unless you're a fan of other sports that are also covered by ESPN+ besides boxing.

Let's see how both champs will try to protect/defend their titles and how they will impress their fans during the fight night.

I've witnessed Inoue's impressive performances in the ring, and he appears to be virtually unstoppable, showcasing his dominance. However, when it comes to Tapales, there's still a significant question mark in my mind.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2023, 11:47:45 AM
Have you seen this play from Curry against Brooks?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VY8BEYWigo

You better watch out, folks! Curry pulled off an incredible move, and Brooks seemed completely lost when trying to guard him. I must say, I loved Curry's reaction. It's my opinion that Brooks had it coming, considering his history of disrespect towards Curry and his teammates in their past encounters, prior to his trade.

Wow, good for Brooks, haha. But one thing I've noticed with Curry is that he's having a fantastic season so far. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this: Is it because of CP3's influence or perhaps due to the fact that they let go of Poole, who didn't seem to have good chemistry with the team?
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: October 30, 2023, 10:37:38 AM
^^ Yeah, it's too bad that I ride on the Bucks against the Hawks in the games last night. I thought that with Dame's performance against the Sixers, they are going to continue their winning at their homecourt.

However, I didn't watch the game though, I just put a bet and that's it. And when I checked the score, and seeing what the contributions of Lillard, I thought that here we go again, he might have injured himself before of his low scoring ball game with that many turnovers.

For sure many of us was caught off-guard and losses big on the Hawks upsetting the Bucks.

It was indeed disappointing to see him struggle significantly, especially after his strong debut performance. He only managed to finish with 6 points this time. It's evident that their chemistry as a team is still a work in progress. I mean, Lillard is undoubtedly a great player, and I believe that his current production is the lowest he has ever recorded in a single game throughout his entire NBA career.
130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A more scientific mindset is necessary to avoid scams. on: October 27, 2023, 05:13:28 PM
You don't need to think more deeper about that since scams are obvious if you see that they are offering such to good to be true returns to their investor then that is really shady and potentially that could be turn as scam. Also if we see them act weird like promising that what they are doing is really profitable then if you invest to them then you can also generate money then try to see it if this is sustainable since if this is obvious money gathering scheme and what they do is just pure bullshit then you can avoid to get away with those scammers. We just need to have critical thinking here to avoid them and know what are those realistic way to earn money. But some fail to have or do that since what always came up on their mind is there's easy way for them to earn money that's why they need to be aware of any ponzi schemes system so that they can familiarize and avoid them.
By educating oneself about the different methods of scammers these days, and opening our eyes to the reality of legit investments that everything is gained through hard work and patience, then predicting scams would be easier for us especially if we already see the red flags in a certain investment. If we are seeing everything is too good to be true, then most probably scam is waving. We need to take our hands off immediately when that time happens.

Furthermore, there's no need for a scientific mindset to let us know that in front of us is a scam. The fact that it offers rich quick profits more than any other legit and reliable investments, then we can say loud and clear that it's a big scam and so we need to avoid it immediately.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull season started? on: October 27, 2023, 04:37:22 PM
It has not arrived yet and what we were seeing is due first to the fake news about the bitcoin etf approval. Next, is about the IBTC ticker which hasn't confirmed yet. But if we are going to connect all of these, they are likely about to get for real.

Now the thing is, how long we are going to wait until the bull run happens. Indication wise, after the halving. That is safe to say that  the bull run will start from there but, we can be wrong from that point and it could happen any moment from now on.

And with the recent rise that we have seen lately, corrections are about to happen but it cannot be as big as the recent pump we witnessed.
I cannot agree as well that what we are seeing is the start of the bull run. As far as I remember, we are preparing our investments for the upcoming bitcoin halving which after that event, bull run is expected to start. So the bull run could still be possible by next year. However, as the market is also unpredictable, then we don't also hold what lies for bitcoin days and months from now. Bull run could be earlier than our expectations, who knows.

But I also have feeling that what we are seeing today is just a temporary price increase due to fake etf approval and after this, we might witness another price correction that could make the market look bearish again until the bitcoin halving event happens.
132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of investment on: October 27, 2023, 01:42:50 PM
Hello friends

In our modern society, the fear of being scammed by king pins and other fake platforms has made many people to loose interest in investing bitcoin.
This platform is to enlighten the society that there are real investment platforms and also people earn bitcoins for a living, so they should give it a try and invest so they can also earn and also when it comes to this particular fear I think the environment where one is actually staying also contributes to this fear because just the other I was actually explaining the basic essence of bitcoin to a friend and all he could even think of was that I want to basically scam him of his money of which he doesn’t even know that bitcoin is actually a currency on which people benefit wonderful opportunity like through savings.
People become uncertain and think negatively because of having lack of knowledge. Falling into scam sites is probably because they don't spend time knowing the platform first but are in a rush to jump and take the huge offer. It was not the fault of Bitcoin either that many people get scammed and lose their money, instead, their biggest mistake is to trust easily.

FEAR is normal to anyone who really doesn't have any idea about Bitcoin and much more if they will listen to those negative issues. That is a psychological impact.
Fear is always present because in every investment there is certain risk. And if you are incapable to manage the risk, you will definitely develop the fear of losing. But by acquiring knowledge and getting a hint of the background of your investment like bitcoin, then you will be most likely become aware how to deal with the risk and overcome it, or lessen the risk from losing. The reason why knowledge and on hand experience are crucial. Knowledge alone will not save you from scamming, but by learning from the experience of other investors, that will help you a lot to be free from scams.

However, even a lot of us consider bitcoin as a safe haven investment, its still important to invest with caution. All investments that have risks should always be dealt and proceed with caution.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is the increase in Bitcoin price benefits us on: October 27, 2023, 12:49:41 PM
Bitcoin price benefits us today. Firstly it's and increase in crypto investment, which can lead to more development in business. Second, it can lead to high capital for Bitcoin, this increase can stand as and advantage of Bitcoin to be use as payment method in many industry, which can make it more easier and user-friendly. All these have a potential benefits and positive contribution on our society, Let me have your opinion on how Bitcoin increase benefits you .
People have all been waiting for bitcoin price increase because once its happening, then it only means that profits are coming in. Most especially if you have been hodling bitcoin for the last 5 or 10 years, oh men you are in for huge profits. And with the profits that you obtained, then it's possible to develop a new business that suits your skills, aside from reinvesting into bitcoin and other high potential coins.

However, when it comes to adoption for bitcoin as a payment method, I don't think its price increase have something to do with that. Well, maybe if bitcoin price is up, a lot of people will be attracted to use it as a currency but that's only possible if the government has legalized the use of bitcoin as a currency. Otherwise, you will only use bitcoin as an asset or investment since adopting it as a currency may still take a lot of years for its processing.
134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Importance of emotion while trading on: October 26, 2023, 09:13:40 PM
Here are some ways to control these emotions:

1. Don't expect much profit. For example: You think that you will become rich by investing in a coin.
2. After you have invested in a coin, you find that for some reason it has gone down in the market. At this time, without being emotional, you first look at the condition of the token, what condition it is in, and then take a decision with a cool head.
3. Avoid revisiting a coin after investing. You place a sell order with a specific target.
4. Trade according to market conditions. Don't immediately invest in someone's words.
5. Stay calm and try to control temporary emotions.
In addition to all this. To control your emotions, you need to remind yourself every time that you need to control your emotions. Occasionally talk to yourself and remind yourself that  emotions and trading do not pair well. A trader who is more aware of their emotional vulnerability will be a better at controlling it so that it does not affect them when they trade. A trader who has not accepted that they are prone to emotional mistakes will still be be vulnerable to it because of lack of acceptance. Accepting that you are emotionally vulnerable can help you take better control of it.
Let's just accept the reality that the hardest part in trading is to control our emotions. I don't think you need to keep reminding yourself to control your emotions since the moment you decide to enter trading, then its already known that trading with emotions will never be successful. So its an initiative that you trade without involving your emotions at all, which I think will be totally hard most especially for inexperienced traders.

However, even professional traders cannot perfect their trades. There will always be inevitable losses due to their uncontrolled emotions. That's why if you think you are too emotional to trade, then never enter trading in the first place to save your funds from consistent losing.

Memphis ruined my parlay. I didn't know that Ja Morant would not play tonight. (Under suspension right?)

We won't be see him for 25 games of the Memphis, due to his 2nd offense which the NBA as given him more serious punishment.

Here's some news regarding that.

I suppose you could try creating a poll to see what people here would choose. Also, for those who do bet on virtual sports, it might be helpful to mention the specific virtual sports game they prefer. As we can see, sports betting is the dominant choice, which is not surprising given its popularity.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it better to invest or trade Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2023, 09:59:31 PM
All of us who are involved in cryptocurrency have heard and know to some extent about investing and trading. But I know that there are risks in investing and trading. To do these you need to know some basic things and gain experience. The main difference between investing and trading is the investment period, methodology, risk-taking propensity. Whether you are an investor or a trader depends on your financial needs and investment goals. Investing is long-term and involves low risk, while trading is short-term and involves high risk. Both methods can be profitable if the right strategy is adopted.
Which one is better if I want to invest and trade bitcoins.

There's no need to choose if you are actually capable on doing them both. While investing is making us profitable, trading as well is giving us significant profits as long as we have the knowledge and skills that are required to meet successful trading. However, always remember that trading is more risky and is more susceptible to losses especially if you trade without enough experience in the trading market. That's the reason why most of us here decide to quit in trading and end up settling into investing. And for me that's still giving us an edge to make significant profits especially if you chose to prioritize bitcoin and hold it for long term without setting definite time when to sell and reap your profits.
138  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First bull run - how to not sell too early? on: October 25, 2023, 08:46:53 PM
Next year will hopefully be the start of the bull run and it will be first for me so just wondering if anyone has any advice/tips on how avoid the temptation and not sell too early?

All I have experienced so far in Crypto is bear market and with the market showing good signs over the last few days its made me realize that I am not used to the good times and I want to have a plan in place for when the bull run returns.

Even after the good few days recently my portfolio is still down 17% overall and at the worst I think it was 50% down so just getting back to break even will feel big for me but need to remember I am in this to do a lot better then break even.

Any advice or individual plan when it comes to selling in bull run?
The only reason why people resort into selling their coins too early is the greed for quick profits. If their mindset works like that, then they will never achieve financial freedom no matter how hard they try to make their investments work. Once they don't trust their investment that much and they are afraid to lose their capital, then they will never be successful in their crypto investments.

Preparing a plan before investing is crucial. Set your own stop loss or set your desired profit goal and once its achieved, stick to your plan. If you change plans suddenly, most likely you're up for a big loss or the other way around, you'll experience unexpected profits.
139  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚽️ SPORTBETTING ADVICE ⚽️ on: October 25, 2023, 07:27:24 AM
The best advice for a sports bettor is to only play on a reputable sportsbook site that offers you a wide range of features that help you to not lose everything and be able to take home some things out of your balance both in winning and in cutting games.

E.g like cashout features or the one or two games cut deductions and payment on the remaining won games, this way if both are applied, in your betting process, you end up not losing everything and being able to have a balance to continue playing with even though you did not win the entire bets but you take away little amount to continue your wager with, I think to me that is the most incredible features of late.
It isn`t about sport betting. It is advice for all the gambling. We can modify your advice for sport betting and it can look so:
Choose the spotsbook with a huge quatity odds and matches, include low leagues with live bets.
As for me it is necessary to have an opportunity to bet low leagues matches - we often can catch high odd here.

Really? do those high odds actually win often? I mean, I get it, lower leagues are probably easier to predict, especially if it's a league in your own country. But I don't think bookmakers set odds that are too different from other leagues; they want action on both sides, after all. It's just my personal views, no offense. If you're making a profit with that approach, cool, but some proof would help convince the rest of us!

First half ain’t looking so good for the Lakers. This is especially bad because in Denver opposing teams get tired fast so the Lakers have an uphill battle ahead of them. I think Anthony Davis is looking great on defense and LeBron looks pretty good, the rest of the team doesn’t seem to be playing very smart on offense though.

Too bad for the Lakers as they just being handed with another L against the Nuggets for 6 consecutive games, including the sweep in the playoffs. They had a strong early first quarter closing the gap to just 3 with the 13-0 run, but wasn't quite able to maintain the same level of energy when the Nuggets rallied back. It could have resulted in a different outcome if AD did not magically disappeared in the 2nd half. The guy did not score a single point.
LeBron still looking sharp, I though he could still play for another 2-3 years.

It's crazy how the Nuggets just refuse to lose on their home court, and their chemistry is on point again. They're still the team to beat, even though they're an underrated champion. And can we talk about Jokic? He's out there starting the season with a triple-double: 13 rebounds, 11 assists, and 29 points. What an MVP performance!
