1121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 29, 2022, 11:35:16 AM
-Snip

Looking at this guy's record doesn't sound any different than the other fighters who have been knockout by Inoue. Looks like Inoue has a high chance to be the undisputed champion at their current weight. It's fine to be the best of all before your will gonna step up to the higher class where powerful boxers await you. Of course, it will be different because you might be surprised by their speed and power too. But if Inoue maintains his style in the upper-weight class, I'm sure he will gonna dominate it as well.

Though Butler's record is pretty much impressive but I don't see him having a chance to beat Inoue. The monster is just too much for this division, if they will fight for unification, I would already expect that Inoue will come out victorious and he will be the undisputed champion in the bantamweight division.
When Butler was suppose to fight Casimero, Butler was even a heavy underdog, how much more against Inoue.
1122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: June 29, 2022, 10:57:10 AM

^^ That's the odds that my favorite bookies released just recently and it is somewhat interesting because the way i see it, it's almost even though Magsayo is the slight underdog but it is not what i expected because in my mind the odds for Magsayo would be at least @3 but i'm still happy with that.

1.71 for Vargas, 2.02 for Magsayo latest odds.

Nah, they are not willing to give Magsayo that 3.x odds that we are expecting, Lol. Because sport bookies knows that Magsayo is a live underdog here and definitely has the tools to beat Vargas with his power alone. But still good or us, double our money right now if we are going to bet this early as the odds might slid a bit and we might see like 1.89 odds as we get closer to the fight date.
I'm surprised with the odds, I think I might take that this early as we never know if that will move in favor of Magsayo. I will also wait for the full market of odds, the KO rounds prediction is more attractive than the ML odds.

The odds for a knockout might be better, Magsayo as underdog and then will win by KO, that will be huge. Nevertheless I will agree that they fight is closer than it appears. Magsayo is a great champion no doubt, he just need to win big here. I'm seeing that a KO win by him will be in the range of 3-4x odds. Still full week ahead of us, we will the full market of odds as the fight is near.

I have check the odds now and looks like it has changed a bit, we cannot get +100 for Magsayo.

here's the updated odds from sportsbet.

Magsayo 1.94
Vargas 1.77

The full odds will be available a week before the fight, most likely.
1123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is buying Panda Elon a good move during this bear market? on: June 28, 2022, 09:34:46 PM
tl;dr
I will not buy a meme coin that is associated with Elon Musk or anything that has his name on it. I will not also buy a shitcoin or a memecoin like this one.

I just hope that newbie investors will not try and gamble their money and invest into this meme coin because they are other and better projects out there that is worth investing your money with. Good Luck with the OP I guess but I will not try to invest even a single cent to this shitty project that has a high chance to be a scam project.
This type of project will never be profitable in the long run, because that's how meme coins are eventually doing in the market. They may be temporarily profitable when they are hyped, but when its over, they start to lose their value and some may won't even recover at all. So that's how struggling if we decide to invest in meme coins. Though some may gain huge profits, but they should take more caution investing in these type of projects, otherwise they will regret their decision in the future.
1124  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: June 28, 2022, 08:46:01 PM
It is good that you have found reasons to stay positive and console yourself in these times, not many can do so and choose to see the positive even when their current situation is not going well. I particularly like this
1-   We need to clean of the market all the shitcoins.
It is true that there are many shitcoins currently in the market and not many will survive the bear market, but what is the assurance that more shitcoins will not just spring up again when the market becomes normal again?
There is no assurance really that shitcoins will stop to emerge even when the market is at its bearish state. The developers have planned it already and since most of them are motivated with greed, there's no way from stopping them. But i'm glad that even in this time of uncertainties and confusions, there are still people that see the real worth of the crypto market. While some are still blinded with wrong information and that is why they chose to invest in wrong coins and blame the market later on.
1125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: June 28, 2022, 08:05:33 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?

It’s to be honest is completely unpredictable.
I mean some days, the market is up by 6-7% and the next day it’s down again.
It’s currently struggling in the bear market, that’s all we know.
In order to recover, at first BTC needs to go up.
Following the BTC, all the rest coins will also climb with it.
Still it’s a huge time we need to wait. So can’t say clearly in which phase we are in.
Exactly. The market even becomes more unpredictable this time when the market is deeply bearish. The reason why not even a single person knows precisely as to what the market will look like days and months from now. But to be honest, we can't expect a faster recovery when bitcoin price has dropped too far. The bearish market may even last for year, who knows. However, no need to get panic and sell everything you have. This is the best time for accumulation, so let's focus on that and always think the positivity that this bearish market brought.
1126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in time of rescue. on: June 28, 2022, 07:40:45 PM
Well, I mean the main idea of this post was to emphasize the ease of paying for foods and services in crypto in more easy way especially on mobile, am I right OP? This was a good deed and with the use of crypto was likely a good stuff too.
I also get the idea that OP wants to share. Like he was once become a good samaritan and thankful enough that he was able to buy them foods and drinks with the use of crypto. Luckily he has a friend who accepted crypto too. I guess OP wants to convey us that in times of emergency, crypto can also be very helpful to us even without bringing fiat on hand, but just only your mobile phone that stores your crypto.
1127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Scams To Be Avoided By Beginners on: June 27, 2022, 09:48:17 PM
you analyzed all this well, but as far as I can see almost all of them have the common epithet "fake". Fake exchanges, Fale giveaways, fake SM accounts, fake (phishing) email, and fake (Ponzi) investment opportunities.
it seems to be the only and must prevention of many of these models of fraud is detailed research before any investment. Unfortunately, beginners usually do not do this until they realize that they have been deceived. after that they find very precisely all the scam allegations made.
I guess not only beginners but most of us only learned that it’s a scam once we experienced it and lose our profits. And for me, that’s just normal. Atleast we committed mistake first and then learned afterwards, and not to do the same mistake again. Most of us come into the market with greed and less knowledge, so being put into scam first I guess is a natural thing when you’re into crypto.
1128  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC back at 20K. Imagine who sold at 17.7K. on: June 27, 2022, 06:22:38 PM
Some people never learn. This is not the end of the world. BTC has the capacity to grow like 50% in 1 week so people should learn that every drama is temporarily in the crypto world. Poor naysayers. Poor Peter Schiff. Such unhappy people. All the gold still doesn't make them happy. Cheers to you all happy Bitcoiners Cool
Its just that some people resort into panic selling without thinking its consequence. Because they refuse to learn, so expect that they will never survive every time the market is in bearish state. But that's just for those weak hands in the market. The strong hands will always consider studying the market history so they won't resort into decisions that will make them regret later on. The poor become poorer, the wise and rich become richer.
1129  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do real traders care about bear & bull market? on: June 26, 2022, 09:19:11 PM
I came across a trader today who mentioned that he hasn't stopped trading even in this period where almost everyone, trader and hodler is trying playing it safe. In our little conversation, one of the statement he used that has stuck to memory and has kept me wondering if I was making the right decision this period playing it safe and not trading was "Real traders don't care about bear or bull market, during times like this is when real traders survive", he also highlighted that a good day trading strategy can still make you profit this season.

-Do you consider this trader correct?

-Is anyone here still trading actively? if yes, what has your strategy been?
Experts in trading will always find ways to be profitable even when the market condition does not seem to cooperate. I think due to their high experience in trading, they can already predict what's next to happen in the market. Be it bears or bulls, real traders will never stop from trading unless they find enough reasons not to trade. While regular traders do not see good opportunities to trade in bearish market, expert traders still find it good and end up making a good amount.
1130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 26, 2022, 08:49:35 PM
Official Chinese national news media outlet warns readers that Bitcoin could go to zero value in order to dissuade them from investing in and using cryptocurrency.

The Chinese government has capitalized on the violent downturn in the crypto market by warning crypto investors that Bitcoin prices are “heading to zero.”

The South China Morning Post reported on June 22 that Chinese national news media agency Economic Daily had issued the warning about the largest cryptocurrency by market cap to further dissuade citizens from adopting the use of crypto.

The Economic Daily report says the west is to blame for creating a highly-leveraged market that is “full of manipulation and pseudo-technology concepts” which it said was an “important external factor” which contributes to Bitcoin’s volatility.

“Bitcoin is nothing more than a string of digital codes, and its returns mainly come from buying low and selling high,” said the newspaper.

As of the time of writing, BTC is trading at $20,386, 71% down from its high and 0.7% down over the past 24 hours according to CoinGecko.

(source: Cointelegraph)
There's nothing new with it. China never fails to create the biggest FUD about bitcoin but then again, no matter how hard they'll try, they will never succeed in seeing bitcoin to end up with zero value. Because as long as the people continue to patronize bitcoin and never stop its demand, bitcoin value will always survive even in the deepest bearish market that is going to happen.
1131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 24, 2022, 10:58:35 AM
^^ That is also what we expect of him against Tagoe, win by a knock out but it didn't happen. However, we can't blame Ryan because Tagoe doesn't want to engage.

But in this fight, if Fortuna is willing to go toe to toe with Ryan, he should at least get a knock down. Again, as others have said, he needs to win impressively, to throw out the argument that he still have those mental issues he has, or his mind is not yet committed on boxing 100%.
Yes, in fact, that is what many people are thinking, I think Ryan will risk everything to win, for her part, Fortuna, I see him as more hungry to win, as if he doesn't care about anything, what he wants is to stand out and open doors in boxing, he knows that if he wins victories over boxers like Ryan they will look for him more and the contracts will be many millionaires, I don't know right now how much boxers are earning for victories, but I think that if Fortuna wins this fight he will fill his pockets for a good time, and this is something he wants to achieve, fame comes with money and he knows that very well, this fight for me will be very interesting to see for the reasons I gave earlier.

6 figures for maybe a B level fighter as Fortuna and then 7 for a boxer like Ryan, on the borderline of being the next cash cow of boxing. Fortuna though might be another made fight for Ryan. Yes he might have won his last fight but against Jojo, another B-level fighter, Fortuna lost. So Ryan has all the advantage to win here and probably he will go for the knock out. And for sure he will call out everyone again, Davis and Haney.

There's nothing to expect aside from Garcia winning this fight. The only thing we are not sure of is whether it's going to be a KO win or win via decision, regardless, he still won the fight and with that, I think he is ready for a big challenge, not against an A-Class fighter.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 06:03:59 AM
There are so many different jobs and ways to make money, I don't think a gambler would be an ideal candidate for a position that deals with money.

A similar idea would be to have an alcoholic running a bottle shop. The temptation would be there all the time. I don't think the person would enjoy it anyway.

Exactly, don't hire a gambler that works in your company as it will only make your company bankrupt, a successful gambler does not work, they are investing on their skills because they make a living in gambling. So those who have a gambling problem that are working in a company will only bring problem to the company, that's for sure.
1133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 24, 2022, 05:29:45 AM
We have an exciting game today.

3;00 pm
Magnolia vs Hotshots

6:00 pm

SMB vs Ginebra.

Please share your thoughts on these games guys, these are good teams, especially the last game, so I like to know your opinion about what team to beat here.

SMB is still undefeated,  I think they will experience their first defeat in the season in this game. Ginebra is +2.5 while the moneyline is 2.15, that is very attractive to be honest, so I would not hesitate betting on them as they are a healthy team and they have a chance here.

Then go with your pick, they are undefeated because they have improved this season but Ginebra is already a seasoned team, they have shown their consistency and Thompson has developed himself to be a superstar in the PBA. Chris Ross might still miss this game, so the advantage is on the Ginebra as Fajardo as still not as dominant as before.

I like the over 180.5 of this game as well.
1134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 23, 2022, 11:34:04 AM
~ The Brooklyn Nets will trade Kyrie Irving to the LA Clippers for Robert Covington, Norman Powell, and Ivica Zubac I think this trade is the most out-of-pocket for a team to be doing we all know how good Kyrie Irving is, and to trade him for three players I think the Brooklyn Nets is just making money out of him,
This move tells us that Clippers doesn't want a repeat of their last two season when their two key players (Kahwi & PG) struggled to stay healthy throughout the regular season and playoffs. The problem here is they are still going to struggle with the new team chemistry and their rotation. I think Covington, Powell, and Zubac have become an integral part of their system already and it will be tough to replace them. As of now, it's looking like a win for the Nets.
Both teams are really adjusting because they have a bad season. Nets was eliminated in the first round, it's very evident their lack of defense, and now they are relying on Durant to be their main star while the Clippers are adding another star player for the big 3.

I think this will favor the Clippers because Durant is not really that healthy and if he gets injured, Nets will still struggle.
1135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 23, 2022, 11:09:36 AM
I will not mention any particular gambling casinos, but what are your thought if the casino or casinos with good feedback from the community, but with one unresolved scam accusation but from all angles, the accusation is legit with all the screenshots, transaction hash email conversation are provided by the complainant lets say he is not allowed to withdraw his earnings amounting to $100k but from all angles the accusation is valid, don't you think with thousand good feedback, its enough for the casino to lose his reputation with one legit accusation.

That is enough to ruin the reputation of the casino because people will see it as a scam attempt by the gambling site. However, in the end, it still depends on the gamblers if they will still play despite the reputation of the gambling site, and I think there's no gambling site that has no negative feedback, there are gamblers that are not happy with the service and they will post a scam accusation.

As a gambler, we should weigh things, we should not make a conclusion right away because if they are regulated, of course regalators will take care of the complaints.
1136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 23, 2022, 10:17:32 AM
And usually this what happens when you pitted a supposedly good fighter in Tagoe, just one defeat, but not known in American soil  against an American fighter that can box and knock out anyone. So when Tagoe was all talk before the actual fight, you can sense though that it will not turn out to be good as this is a mismatch. And this what exactly happened. And I guess Golden Boy knows this that's why he was cherry pick.
Tagoe was too weak for Garcia, the disparity in the levels of the fighters was too obvious. Fortune looks better in the ring, you can also expect a dirty game from him, he can hit head in the clinch, he is not an easy fighter. Bookmakers rate Garcia as a favorite, let's see if there will be such a big advantage in the ring as it is in the odds.

But his record was so deceiving, he has a good record and we thought that he could give Garcia a good fight, the problem with Tagoe is he does not want to risk, instead of being aggressive, he does not look for an opportunity to hurt Garcia, instead he just focuses on running all night.

But if you look closely at Tagoe's record, you will find that he doesn't have a good resume. His fights is mostly in Ghana his hometown and obviously, he only fought local fighters that we might say just not on the league of boxers in the US. So it was a clever trick by Golden Boy to arrange him to fight someone like Tagoe with one lost. And it's so good in paper and in the actual promotion of the fight that others might take that he has a chance. And then another catch here is that they fought at 138 1/2 lbs, so it's a catchweight and for sure he is not comfortable that's why he just wanted only to survived and not fight Ryan.

Tagoe has not experience legit champions like Garcia, that's why he wasn't on the level of the great fighters when he fought Garcia. Tagoe is not even popular, he is not listed on the top 10 pound for pound ranking, or other rankings that would convince us he is popular, that's why some people believe that Garcia's promoter just cherry picked Tagoe for a come back fight, and they made sure it's an easy fight for Garcia.
1137  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2022, 10:33:33 PM
Well no prediction is accurate and trying to find buttom isn't what should be the concern because we are never going to be certain about that all we do is predict from what chart we have. For the moment we are sure the trend is still down and I believe this month is going to close before a contrary prediction will be seen. I can say maybe we can see more bear to $12,705 but this is just for my personal consumption not an expert advise , trade or hodl consciously.
It's hard to invest looking for the bottom price as we don't even know if its the bottom in this bear market. But seeing the market is really in downtrend, then it's certainly a good time to invest. No need to wait for another market dump, the current price is already cheap and very affordable for us to invest. However, doing DCA can be very useful this time as it could maximize your bitcoin purchase in every price drop.
1138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for Traditional Banks to cooperate with Crypto on: June 22, 2022, 09:46:39 PM
DeFi or decentralized finance can threaten the world of traditional banking, because of the shift in lending, even DeFi itself is known to be able to provide loans like other traditional banks.
This can affect existing traditional banks, because there will be competition between traditional banks and crypto in general, regardless of the various problems that will occur, crypto and traditional banks must be able to adapt to each other.

Crypto development is progressing so rapidly, this can be seen from the many users who join here, if Traditional Banks close themselves it is not impossible to be abandoned in the next few years.
Although currently crypto is still very risky, it is not impossible that in the future crypto can change finances, just need to wait for regulations or legal regulations, if this happens, it is certain that crypto will grow and be accepted by many people.
Traditional banks are always against with the cryptocurrencies financial system but if in the future the government will consider cryptos as a reserved currency, then we can expect for traditional banks to cooperate with crypto. In the end, centralized banks are only following the laws mandated by the government. If they will oppose, they will be subject for closure in the future.
1139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 22, 2022, 09:10:12 PM
Taking loans is good if you are responsible enough to repay it, but if you think you can't better not to apply at all.
If you're responsible enough to repay the loan, you're already have money at the beginning and you didn't need to take a loan lol. The reason why many people taking a loan is they didn't have any money while their needs or desire force them to do that. They're already calculate how much the profit and how long they can pay, but many scenarios goes wrong and they're begging to their parents or families to repay their loan.
That is where the newbies get wrong from investing because they always anticipate the profits first, not knowing that this crypto market could make them lose their funds in an instant. But they will only get the idea once they start to experience it. Honestly, its not wrong to take a loan because you only want to make profits and progress, but if you are a responsible and practical person, you would not want to enter and invest if you have no other resources that you can rely on when things are not happening based on your expectations.
1140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins Crossed 20k USD!! Don’t lose hope now. on: June 22, 2022, 08:24:03 PM
I hope it recovers further but the problem is that the bear market is far from over.Everything is increased in cost in every area and so has the cost of living in general with the inflation in reality being near 33% from the paper that US and the world tells us that is only 8% now. This depressive mood in all the active markets in the world seems to have somewhat hit also Bitcoin hence the massive crash it has experienced in these last days.It may crash even further to below 10.000 dollars before recovering but the bottom line is it will recover as it has done always by reaching a new all time high,we only don't know when but we know that it will.
Certainly bitcoin will always recover even from its deepest fall, we just don't know when will it happen. But as much as possible, why bother of thinking for price recovery when we are not done yet with our bitcoin accumulation. Bitcoin price could even be more great if it drops more as it opens another opportunity to buy. So just enjoy the ride for now, soon we will witness a new ATH when the right timing comes.
