We live in a society where people have different views about something and these views could be drawn based on different constituent like personal sentiment, religion, ideology and experience. It has always been easy to buy BTC, if you don't care about your privacy, you can buy it in a centralized exchange, but if you do care, then there are enough decentralized exchanges to buy BTC, as for storing it, open source self custody wallets like Electrum, Sparrow and BlueWallet is great to use. I think even institutional investors should learn the right way to buy and store BTC, because not their keys, is not their coins.
Self custody is a thing that's valuable for people that are tech savvy and organized enough to keep their privatekeys safe, that i agree with. But i am not sure how much more privacy dex has over cex. I mean you have to buy the original crypto you are using to trade it to btc in the first place. And at least in EU, you need to reveal your id at some point for that. Even btc atms are using kyc these days, or when you are using bank card to buy it. Only semi-private way is to buy with cash from some random person p2p. And even then you could end up in trouble at some point when you need to cash out, and you don't have the proof of origin of that btc to provide. |

I had thought that this fight between Elon Musk and Mark of the meta has taken place. Why the so much hype and the long run and the delay in this fight? I did not even understand what Elon wants to gain from this fight and the publicity. I think the Elon's image in the media is higher than that of Mark. Although Elon Musk is someone that likes hypng and playing with the crowd as we saw in his time of cryptocurrency, bitcoin and dodge coin. So, I am not surprised about the whole thing and mentioning the city of Rome as the venue of their alleged celebrity fight.
Because Elon doesn't want to fight. He would need to believe that he can win first , and i don't think he is there yet. Just came across a comment that made me aware of FLUX. I had never heard of this project up to that point ( they were comparing it to Helium in that it has real world utility ) and I'm a pretty informed investor, so I realized this could be one of the best plays for the next bull run. I think it did something like 11,000 % gains late last year so that should get your attention. Of course you can expect it to be super volatile, but that's what you get with such an explosive token. I know there are a lot of great projects at incredible prices these days, but one thing I look at is token performance. Algorand for instance, one of the most clever, most innovative projects out there, with big partnerships and amazing technology, has had really mediocre token performance... even in the past bull run. It didn't show me anything, other than great potential. With FLUX the technology is great, but token performance it's right up there with the best I've ever seen.
It already has marketcap of 135 million. Going 100x would take it in this market over ADA and Doge, making it highest layer 2 token in coinmarketcap (if you don't indclude stablecoins, which you shouldn't). Now, since you consider your self as pretty informed investor, why would it go there? It was made in 2018? It's listed in binance, but what does it have to offer that others don't? Just that "technology is great" doesn't really sell it to me. Not that you would need to sell it, i am just interested. |

In general, at bear market that might save us, but i don't think it applies in gambling. As you don't get rich with gambling by settling less. You need certain amount of greed and to set a high bar (aka being greedy) on the amount you are satisfied to retire. And to do that if you don't dream big. Same applies on investing in the volatile markets. Obviously there's a downside that you could lose everything with that tactic. |

Yeah...in the beginning the development was sketchy. They certainly took advantage of NFT hype and got out ahead of their skies. They have several years worth of development under their belt now and have a whole new team, including Chris Clay, former Game Director for MTG: Arena. The difference between a game like Hearthstone and a game like Gods Unchained is the NFT, true ownership of game assets secured by a blockchain. In Hearthstone, the platform controls the cards....In Gods Unchained, the user owns the cards, and they can trade them on the decentralized markets, permissionlessly.
I'm not trying to endorse Gods Unchained, it's just an example of a usecase for NFTs other than goofy ape jpegs and pfps. It's also a good example of how the various layers of abstraction add utility to the NFTs, while maintaining the same level of security, without bloating the main blockchain. Anyway, I'm just saying....I don't think NFTs are going away --> they're just becoming more utilitarian. It's exciting stuff.
I got excited of the Chris Clay as well. But i didn't see any impact, that could radically change anything. Maybe he managed to balance some things i didn't see. And i agree that idea behing Gods Unchained was juicy. I spend so much money on those packs that at some point those cards were all the crypto i had. I just had to hope that i got to sell them in profit. At the day when they landed to market i managed to get some eth and i got myself a list of good cards in the game that i would buy if they were cheap enough, and i indeed got to flip some seriously good cards. That was a good day. And after they introduced the new L2, i managed to sell even my cheap ones. It was a slow process but sort of fun. And yeah, i definitely see an exciting future with NFTs |

Boxing is about legwork, reach and good defense imo, I'd bet with either of them if theres good odds and I think they are the least likely to get jelly legs 5 rounds in.
Most fights end up going in the ground so it's imperative to know how to defend yourself when you are under someone on the floor. I don't get why it would be straight boxing match. That's something mark hasn't agreed to. |

I only have a small amount of XRP and just wondering when to sell.
Up until recently I had $2 in mind as to when I would be selling but I am not sure if I should do or just hold till we are well into the next bull run in 2025.
Selling at $2 would give me just under a 5x which I would usually be very happy with but because it is XRP and with many saying it is going to be massive in years to come I am not sure if selling at $2 is a good idea or not.
Just curious to know those who also hold XRP what your plan is and at what price would you think of selling?
I have seen price predictions range from $5-$100 for the next bull run - I think $10 is a fair prediction myself so may just wait till it reaches that price as it would be a 24x for me.
I just feel that as the price does start going up quite rapidly in the coming months/years , it will be hard to hold on.
Well, since you have it, you can sell it in maybe $2, but going there takes time. And with $10 price it would have almost same marketcap as bitcoin has today, so i doubt it. Next bullrun would need to be something in biblical scale. And people who are saying $100 don't understand how valuation works. That's just insane moontalk. I personally wouldn't hold XRP as i see way more safer options that i see getting higher, but i am not in any way saying that you are wrong to hodl it. I've been wrong before. Story simillar to Ethereum in point of view like price rising. Few months stable and then skyrocket in just couple of months and being stable there for almost a year. Not to mention like potencial of some upgrades like Ethereum have.

Are you asking if it rises as high as ethreum? I am pretty sure that BNB isn't going to surpass eth in marketcap, or in any activity in the chain. I feel it is pretty much developed to the point it wants to be developed. It serves a purpose and it never was planning to be something ambitious like eth with eth2.0 It will probably rise in price with other altcoins but i don't see it as a biggest gainer. Far from it. It mostly rises because of the use cases in the Binance CEX and the burnings. But it's far from exciting coin. |

Because of bitcoin does not give public details of people who make transaction with it, some people do say it promote crime. People needs to understand one of the features of bitcoin is freedom that anybody can get access to it, it does not discriminate. The privacy features of bitcoin is very important to humanity, which I know one of its advantage is for safety by using cryptography that makes all transactions safe and encrypted.
Privacy in transactions of bitcoin is much important, if their was no privacy it would have cause several criminal attacks. For those who think bitcoin encourages crime because of hiding public data of users don't understand the importance of bitcoin being private. Before bitcoin started existing monetary crime have been existing. Bitcoin is not a reason for monetary crime, bitcoin is just for everyone and does not discriminate but accept everyone.
Pseudonymity is the only privacy bitcoin offers and even that gets removed when we want to cash out. Bitcoin is far from private and very traceable and open. Opposite to paper Cash is the currency of choice for all criminals out there. And money laundering happens with fiat money. People only see bitcoin as criminal money because they are misinformed on how it works. Claiming that it is private, only keeps that disinformation alive. |
