Ain't nobody got time for that!  Wink

Let's put some pressure on this then, shall we? I promise the following:
In exchange for a working, malware-free GPU riecoin miner which is significantly faster than CPU mining and works with Nvidia (integrated to the cudaminer would be optimal) I promise to donate to the creator:
-10% of what I mine in the first 24 hours
- 5% what I mine in the second day
- 2% what I mine on 3rd day
- 1% for days 4-31
Scrypt hashrate comparison 350 kh/s

Anyone else in? quote this with +1/ I'm in and I'll add you to the list. Post your scrypt hashrate for reference and I'll keep updating the total donation promise to this post. lets see how much we can get!

+1

Got a GTX 780 at home...716kg/s mining scrypt, 325 mining vertcoin, 203mh/s max, 5.33kh/s yac and 420kh/s UTC.
If anyone can do this, I'm sure it's cbuchner1.
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Hash/Watt GPU Setup, Undervolting on: February 12, 2014, 12:02:57 AM
there is no EOL for mining

the 7950 GPU is still made in 7970s/280x so it is not outdated.

please stop spamming this thread with things that don't belong here!

That guy spams all threads, posts random bullshit to get his post count up.
This is incorrect.
Every piece of hardware has EOL. Try sending back the 7950 for a replacement, you will have fun.
Last time I did it with 4 of them I got fiat, and had to wait for the 270x.

Note: ~2months = ~200-300 posts.

Well, to be fair...you do have a point :p

Warranties are a thing to be considered when building a farm.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 12, 2014, 12:01:33 AM
I just tried the "geforce experience" trick with the T kernel... I don't see any difference with or without monitor plugged.
(the card always goes to its nominal frequency no matter what...)
The best I can do with the gtx780ti is around 250khash/s (vertcoin) using T60x2 while with the t kernel I am at 320khash/s

This may be something to do with the way GPUBoost works which you may not run into with Skyn3t's BIOS... Speaking of I still have not moved over to that lol.

I use skyn3t's bios for my WF 780 but I still need something to 'stimulate' the core into 3d clocks Cheesy Even with k-boost on in evga precision x (btw, love that program :p)

Stable at UTC mining, 415kh/s, is that good for a 780?

Is MRC better right now?
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 11, 2014, 08:05:09 PM
No riecoin cuda yet? Cheesy

We got 576 blocks without rewards to come up with something (or just tip Christian :p)
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: arOpenCLMAX v0.1b - MAX coin OpenCL miner - Works with AMD, NVIDIA XPT on: February 11, 2014, 07:35:10 PM
Take your time...that Nan guy's miner is pretty darn good for AMD it seems, but I wouldn't be surprised if his 'cpm' are not realistic. 280X cards are pulling 3375 with two instances per card and a slight oc. That's better than an r9 290 or a GTX Titan.
1226  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CraPE v0.3 beta - Boot from USB - Win8 PE Based Mining OS on: February 11, 2014, 01:38:17 PM
Quick question: can I download a different cgminer for say maxcoin or vertcoin and run it on this Os?
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best Hash/Watt GPU Setup, Undervolting on: February 11, 2014, 01:37:14 PM
i pay 0,36 USD / KWh
every watt matters
I pay 0.1 at most.   Cool

I don't care! this is not what this thread is about. I am looking for maximum power-efficency and not moving to your undemocratic country!

My Sapphire HD7950 run stable @520Khs and use 136w = 3.82Khs/w

i read someone says: "stay away from 7950" yes, if you dont know how to undervolt, and you dont care about profit, stay away from 7950.

ps: hd 7950 vddc is unlooked.
That card is reaching its EOL, stay away from it.

Stratum support coming soon. YPool is most likely bringing back MAX within a few days. New update will have an AMD optimized kernel (not sure yet)

Great!

And linux source code?
Source code is very important.

http://www.coindesk.com/malware-mines-bitcoins-until-ransom-paid/

It would be there

Cheesy amazing...will you improve on the arcudapts and aropenclpts miners?
Maybe build a better VTC miner? NaN's pts miner seems to be really good and your pts fork-thing was the best afaik.

Gonna have to send a tip once this one's out.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 11, 2014, 01:20:05 PM

cudaminer.exe -q --algo=scrypt:2048 -d GTX780 -C 0 -b 512 -i 1 -m 1 -H 2 -l Z12x20 (vtc) -> 335kh/s (and as low as 252kh/s...pretty wild swings but mostly 300+)

I got the strange effect that while Google Chrome is started and visible the hash rates are higher. Does not even have to show a specific web page.

But for now I've stopped mining VTC via p2pool because there is currently a problem with low hash rate workers not getting paid what they should. A fix will be rolled out by VTC p2pool operators soon hopefully.

Christian

I do the chrome trick btw...even with it in the background hash rate fluctuates between 290-335kh/s, but eventually settles more around the 300+ area. Guess that's good for a 780 non ti.

Crap, yac crashes no matter what...took it 30 min though.

Gonna have to mine VTC and eat the extra heat :/
1230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 11, 2014, 10:00:17 AM

Huh? So we gotta use 4096 now??

look at the YEAR

:p Needed some rest...hmmm, your advanced vtc settings are slower on my card when pool mining, compared to --benchmark.
Aaaaaand, got my 780 to do 5.33kh/s mining yac but it crashed overnight :/

cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt-jane:YAC -d gtx780 -i 0 -b 8192 -C 2 -L 6 -l t12x32 (yac)

cudaminer.exe -q --algo=scrypt:2048 -d GTX780 -C 0 -b 512 -i 1 -m 1 -H 2 -l T12x20 (vtc)

Should I use x86 or x64 win version for these coins?
Thanks again...

EDIT: maybe this will help someone:the new Z kernel works best for VTC, the new nvidia optimized one that is.
Getting up to 335kh/s now, and it seems stable at 1293mhz core and stock memory.

Yac might have crashed cause of unstable memory, gonna try it at stock with oced core and see how it goes. VTC seems more profitable though.

cudaminer.exe -q --algo=scrypt:2048 -d GTX780 -C 0 -b 512 -i 1 -m 1 -H 2 -l Z12x20 (vtc) -> 335kh/s (and as low as 252kh/s...pretty wild swings but mostly 300+)
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 11, 2014, 03:00:11 AM

Doesn't work, only booo... with the same configuration i mine doge, i can't mine VTC, why?

did it ever occur to you that Vertcoin isn't doge?
No paws, no fur, no wow!

seriously, you need --algo=scrypt:2048 and later on 4096, 8192, etc...

I am not entirely sure about their N-factor schedule. The original wallet had this schedule:

| N        | Memory | Timestamp   | Date/Time                     |   |
|----------|--------|-------------|-------------------------------|---|
| 2048     | 256 kB | 1389430800  | Sat, 11 Jan 2014 09:00:00 GMT |   |
| 4096     | 512 kB | 1422985232  | Tue, 03 Feb 2015 17:40:32 GMT |   |
| 8192     | 1 MB   | 1448151056  | Sat, 22 Nov 2015 00:10:56 GMT |   |
...

but apparently they have decided to relax the aggressiveness and change it to this more relaxed schedule:

| N        | Memory | Timestamp   | Date/Time                     |   |
|----------|--------|-------------|-------------------------------|---|
| 2048     | 256 kB | 1389306217  | Thu, 09 Jan 2014 22:23:37 GMT |   |
| 4096     | 512 kB | 1456415081  | Thu, 25 Feb 2016 15:44:41 GMT |   |
| 8192     | 1 MB   | 1506746729  | Sat, 30 Sep 2017 04:45:29 GMT |   |
...

but I am not aware of any wallet update having been pushed out recently, so the code may still run on the old schedule at the moment.

Huh? So we gotta use 4096 now??

Christian: Can it be that --benchmark shows the correct hashrate and whilst mining I see lower figures, yet the pool perceives it as the hash the bench showed?
I mine at 333kh/s now, stable, when using --benchmark with your settings and my clocks.
When mining at the pool I see cudaminer reports 183-190-174kh/s and numbers all over the place but shares appear one after the other, pretty fast, faster than before. Pool reports 318kh/s.

Edit: dammit, no, pool reports 160kh/s (confused shares with kh/s) hmmm
1232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 11, 2014, 02:16:10 AM
I have set up my desktop PC for VertCoin mining using p2pool today

here's one advanced command line for you Wink

note how I chose T12x20 instead of T12x24 for my gtx780 because somehow performance dropped sharply for any number of warps above x20

the +0.00029103 behind my wallet address is a difficulty modifier for the p2pool.

Code:
@echo off
cd ..\cudaminer-2014-02-09\x86
cudaminer.exe -q --algo=scrypt:2048 -d gtx780,gtx660ti,gt640 -l T12x20,K7x32,T4x24 -C 0,1,0 -b 512,2048,2048 -i 1,0,0 -m 1 -H 2 -o http://q30.qhor.net:9171 -u ViTWB96tJXSR4YwUdJCURiPtKpegtVRFif+0.00009155 -p x

Christian

I got to 318kh/s with those settings...seems stable so far. 80% tdp 1267mhz core and 1100mv :p (+325 mem offset for 3301mhz)
Crossing fingers...If I can get to 400 I'll be a happy camper :p (264w...skynet bios)

EDIT: Memory seems to affect speed more than core speed...core still at 1267mhz but raised mem to +351 offset and got to 337kh/s stable (so far).

Edit2: and it also seems to make my miner crash xD Downclocked mem by 13mhz...let's see how that goes.

14? Cheesy

Man gotta rush to buy some dgc...been waiting for this for ages.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner - a new litecoin mining application [Windows/Linux] on: February 10, 2014, 08:00:38 PM
This worked perfectly for VTC: --algo=scrypt:2048 -d GTX780 -H 1 -C 1 -d 0 -i 0 -m 1 -l Z10x24

Getting 307kh/s super stable at 1293/1800mhz with 1150mv.
(100% accepted shares Cheesy)
Apparently, it wasn't my oc that was causing issues, but rather my cudaminer config...I like this, pretty fun to tweak with xD
And this seems to be more profitable than maxcoin, despite me hashing at 203mh/s.

Christian, if you can make a prime gpu miner with Supercomputing's help I'll be thrilled Cheesy
Green team ftw :p

Still missing proper UTC settings for my 780, but if I find stable and good ones I'll post here.

Are you mining in a pool? I don't find a pool for VTC that is good as i want, every time a lot of 'booo' :p

No boos...a few cpu does not validate the share or the other way around :p But not many.

I'm using: http://s.ny.vertco.in/

Well, still crashing or getting low hashrate mining vertcoin...  Cry

UTC crashes after a while as well, might have to lower the oc.

I'm open to suggestions settings wise.
Crashing is not normal at all.
What is your GPU temp? Could you check with GPU-Z?
Maybe it's also a power issue. Does just cudaminer crash, or is the whole system crashing?
And is it running for a certain time and then crashing, or just when you start it?

Thanks for the help guys...

Cudaminer only crashes when mining vtc or utc, maxcoin is fine...1150mv 1306mhz core and 3665mhz mem, 70c or less whilst mining.

Quick question to you guys: vertcoin 780 settings.

I was trying these and getting 350kh/s but it crashes after a while no matter what clocks I set:

--algo=scrypt:2048 -d 0 -H 2 -C 1 -l T12x20 -i 0

Any suggestions?

Also, I might switch to UTC if I can get better than 400kh/s that I currently am at...any tips?
