Buddy's not getting four in a row.

Its either mixed velveeta or plain velveeta.

Gross AF and is the shitcoin of cheeses.

At least they aren't trying to pretend theirs is a healthy alternative to cheese unlike some other brands.

Same shit, different non-GMO-in-a-recyclable-package pile at 5 times the price.  Progress.

Boy that get up looks like something out of a star trek re-run. Probably what a Vulcan would wear.

It's actually something out of a Lithuanian university.  They're giving him an honorary doctorate degree in 'Overlording and Subjugation' or something like that - I can't read Lithuanian.

Correlation Between Mask Compliance and COVID-19 Outcomes in Europe
Beny Spira

Published: April 19, 2022 (see history)

DOI: 10.7759/cureus.24268

Cite this article as: Spira B (April 19, 2022) Correlation Between Mask Compliance and COVID-19 Outcomes in Europe. Cureus 14(4): e24268. doi:10.7759/cureus.24268

Abstract
Masking was the single most common non-pharmaceutical intervention in the course of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Most countries have implemented recommendations or mandates regarding the use of masks in public spaces. The aim of this short study was to analyse the correlation between mask usage against morbidity and mortality rates in the 2020-2021 winter in Europe. Data from 35 European countries on morbidity, mortality, and mask usage during a six-month period were analysed and crossed. Mask usage was more homogeneous in Eastern Europe than in Western European countries. Spearman's correlation coefficients between mask usage and COVID-19 outcomes were either null or positive, depending on the subgroup of countries and type of outcome (cases or deaths). Positive correlations were stronger in Western than in Eastern European countries. These findings indicate that countries with high levels of mask compliance did not perform better than those with low mask usage.

ZX Spectrum: Q&A with some of the folks who worked on legendary PC

INTERVIEW The Register took a road trip last weekend to celebrate the ZX Spectrum's 40th birthday, and visited The National Museum of Computing in Bletchley Park and the Centre for Computing History in Cambridge in search of the origins (and clones) of the rubber-keyed marvel.

Present at The National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) were hardware designer Richard Altwasser, computer scientist Steve Vickers, and Crispin Sinclair, son of ZX Spectrum inventor Sir Clive Sinclair...

Got acorns on your land?

Not a single one  Undecided

I think I have one in my nightstand if you want to release it from a drone onto your land somewhere.  Imagine the oak forest in 200 years!

-edit-  How long can an acorn last in a nightstand before it can no longer be dropped from a drone onto the fertile east Tejas ground and still sprout?  I suppose this one might be 5-15 years old... probably dead now.

That reminds me of a great story if you have half an hour to spare.

Simply following current legislation should prevent our elected heads of state from attending and involving themselves in the private WEF shenanigans funded by the 1000 top grossing corporations in the world.

I'm sure that's too much to ask.

Not that the “Where WO” must be played only from fancy, exotic locations.

You can also play from DUKE NUKEM levels!

So how was the stay there?

For some research purposes, can get location anyway?

Based on the graffiti, I think it's in Portugal.  I see "períneo crew" scrawled on one of the windows - períneo is Portuguese for perineum.  "Pussy Coast" (also scrawled on the walls) could refer to the perineum and it's a short walk to Vulvodynia Street from there.  Three of the top ten nudist beaches are in Portugal so based on the perineum and "pussy coast" idea, I'm searching out all the naturalist beaches in Portugal to find nearby hotels that might match the image.

Hey xhomerx10 this might help you in narrowing down your search.
e.g. hotel farting

Edit: My bad it’s not seven letter but 8-letter word

You probably don't know how Europe works. Cheesy Cheesy

Probably its Hotel: "meeting", "visiting", "springrting", "cocorting", "chewbakarting" .. etc...  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Maybe its: "Zertin"

Uhm... Guys... it's 80's Era signage for "Hotel Martini"

Thought that was pretty obvious. Question is WHERE is the Hotel Martini that shut down w/o updating their 80's Era signage.

Edit: (Pro Tip) Do Not Search "Hotel Squirring"
Good way to get Viruses!

Funny, I did try narrowing it down with that exact tool!  I see three letters missing before the "rtin" and one missing after.    This means "Martini" doesn't work nor does "Zertin" but you have to start somewhere - I like the 80's signage idea.

Nobody knows how Europe works, in fact, we have yet to discern if it works.

I found a "Hotel Smartino" in Germany and a "Hotel Sporting" in Andorra - neither matches the hotel in the image.

Are there more clues to come or do I have to keep making up words to search?

This one is pretty hard. Somewhere in the spanish region, maybe on an island, is my best guess.
Hint?

Cool. I've been thinking about this recently and long-term CGT means it's probably not a good idea to cash everything out in one go.

This would only be a good thing if they let you still hodl your bitcoin keys.

If not, then no, not a good thing.

I don't get this.  Why wouldn't one just use the house as the collateral and keep their bitcoin safu?

This weekend Is:

 1) Easter 2) Passover 3) Ramadan

I wonder if BTC will resurrect itself This Mon to Fri April 18-24?

It's Duminica Floriilor (Palm Sunday) for those who base their date for Easter on the Julian calendar which means another chance at resurrection the following week.  As the Ukrainians are saying today: Буд’ великий як верба, здорові ’як вода, багаті як земля (Be as big as a willow, healthy as water, rich as earth)

OT:
Muting your mic reportedly doesn’t stop big tech from recording your audio

https://thenextweb.com/news/muting-your-mic-doesnt-stop-big-tech-recording-your-audio

Why am I not surprised. I long suspected that video conferencing software would have this issue, especially with all the world's WFH employees now on Zoom or similar.

It's a feature, not a bug. Big brother is listening, and your company is likely spying on your muted utterances.  Roll Eyes

Wanna mute and call your boss an fkn asshole, or that flake co-worker a bitch, under your breath? Better think again.  Wink

Good info. Muting audio is easy enough, muting the mic from the OS more difficult. I wonder if there's an easier way than suggested in the article.

You just have to keep it in a vacuum when not in use.

and be mindful of material conduction of sound.  Maybe some sort of mag-lev system would be ideal.

Seems like CB is suffering some kind of imgur error. Anyone know if they started throttling or something?

Lately, Imgur wants to show me an advertisement (which never appears) before it will upload my image and I get stuck on that page.  The only way out of it is to hit escape and try again and there are times I have given up.  I'm not seeing that today though; no ads at all.

I am going to make that tomato soup. with the heavy cream. (thank god I have good cholesterol )

Lol you just reminded me I forgot my cholesterol meds today, they started me on them last week and I've forgotten to take it about half the time.

edit: rectified.

Fuck cholesterol meds... those cholesterol meds are based on largely bullshit theories that were not backed up by actual data/facts... the heart-lipid hypothesis is almost pure bullshit in order to try to get you to buy cheap/processed oils and cheap/process foods that have "healthy" labels.. which largely describe the opposite of what they are.. and surely also gets you to buy meds that you don't need rather than changing other aspects of your diet and lifestyle to cut out the process foods and lower your carb intake.. or to show you that eating natural foods - including increasing the good fats.. such as animal fats.. but increasing the animal fats (non processed oils... get away from margarine, various kinds of vegetable oils, corn oil, soybean oil, and even olive oil is problematic if you are cooking with it and causing it to go rancid.. olive oil has a low smoke point and there are a lot of imitation ones, too... so you are probably not even getting the real deal in terms of olive oil, even if you believe that is what you are buying)  Your whole body is not going to work if you keep putting processed foods in your diet....

Good oils that you should include in your diet would at least be lard, tallow, coconut oil, ghee and butter (but butter has a low smoke-point too.. so gotta be careful not to cook too high with butter if you were to use that for cooking).... in sum.. fuck cholesterol meds.

Many years ago, my doctor told me my cholesterol was slightly elevated (I don't remember the exact numbers but it was 0.1 over the top number in the range) and signed me up for a course on how to eat.  When I saw the list of foods I should avoid, I told the nurse I would rather be euthanized than to live without coffee, eggs, cheese, cream, butter and meat.  Back then, euthanasia wasn't an option so I took the sheet home and never looked at it again figuring I would die from the effects of cholesterol eventually.  I don't have the same doctor now but I still get blood tests and my new doctor has never said a word about cholesterol to me.

I'd better find some wood to knock on.

Anyone has reddit login "unknown server error"?

Yep.  I'm using a VPN - these sort of things happen a lot.  Walmart wont let me get pricing info, my favourite computer shoppe redirects me to an instagram page I cant view (I haven't signed up) and some sites just throw up a general error.  Their loss.
