1261  Economy / Economics / Re: What would you do in this situation? Invest or save? on: October 01, 2023, 08:30:46 PM
1. Invest the $15,000 into a smaller business hoping that the returns will yield the remaining $15,000 in a short period. Note that this has the potential of failing and wasting the already-saved  $15,000.

Investing in a smaller business when you know you can't meet up the required amount is not 100% certain that you might get that expected amount, like you said it has the potential of failing. So to me I'd say you get a loan to meet up the amount for that business, and before taking such loan you have to make sure that the investment would be profitable. Like we all know, in business you never can tell how the outcome would be like until that investment has come to a conclusion.

Quote
2. Keep the $15,000 while doing other work that will yield the remaining money over a long period.

Sometimes the investment can be the type that has a short period of time so while doing other work it might take time to get the remaining money. In such situations what can you do to meet up? 🤔
1262  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk telegram bots giving fake count on merits on: September 30, 2023, 10:02:17 PM
Lol, what?

What does this bot have to do with trading?
Maybe check its official topic?
Maybe even read it, since people have been mentioning the duplicated merit notifications for weeks?
Why is this even a topic?
EVERY software can have bugs, this is not exclusive to "telegram bots".

[TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+)

So many questions...

Hey TryNinja please do not be mad at me, it's my first experience so I am very sorry if this topic offends you maybe I could have just reported it to official thread is it what you wants?

Don't worry, no need to apologize he'll understand and everybody gets nervous when such a thing happens, is just a new experience and if I may say something about this. I think you just have to get rid of the bot if possible. Just have to be careful over there, I mean on telegram.
I don't know but don't you think it may affect your account in any way without you doing anything if you're not cool with it?
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 30, 2023, 08:46:20 PM
Overall PSG actually played well, but were unlucky in front of goal. This was because they were all hesitant in taking shots, even though some of them had open space to attack, instead they continued to try to make so many passes and crosses in the Clermont goal box. Psg must immediately improve their teamwork touch, and try not to look predictable in scoring goals.

I wonder if this is the reason why PSG players miss so many opportunities as usual and fail to score. I understand better why during his 6 years at PSG he never managed to be decisive in winning a single Champions League if we look at his miserable performance against a small team like Clermont they had to be satisfied with a draw.

No matter the competition that's ahead or that await PSG they don't have any reason to draw that game against Clermont, I mean these PSG players are becoming bunch of losers every single day, why on earth should they draw against a team that's not match for them in any way, a team that's sitting at 17th on the log,? That's annoying to me, it's hurts to see this happening.
If it was Lens or let me say Monaco I'd say fine they have given the PSG side a headache before but Clermont, common, this is a joke.
They should have lost the game instead of playing out a draw, I must say that the home team did very well.
I hope in the champions league PSG would demolish their opponent for drawing this game, because as it stands that champions league game is their excuse for playing out a draw today.
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 30, 2023, 08:30:56 PM
Bitcoin is a very useful thing to many people. It has provided very good opportunities, job opportunity, trading opportunity and lots more for many people to earn money for their essentials of life. Bitcoin halving is fast approaching, giving many people hope of investment, and making reasonable profit at the end. Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?

The government can't approve of Bitcoin because they can't control or even know how much an individual have like they can in banks.
In some countries that Bitcoin isn't legal I think they still have people who still engage in Bitcoin activities, like in a secret way without people knowing about it.
I know the long awaiting Bitcoin halving is fast approaching and many have made out plans on what they'd do when the time comes which is next year, I hope is really what we're expecting if not it would be disappointing for real.
1265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin October Month Performance on: September 30, 2023, 07:21:46 PM
With the way Bitcoin price is going as this month of September is coming to an end I have that feeling that October would be a promising month compare to August and September put together. I'll say let the count down begin for a better October, the current price of Bitcoin is $26,900 and we should be hopeful that in the first week of October it will have a boost to $27k and still raising.
So for now let's see what the remaining hours of September would pass on to October, I hope the market would take a positive turn, for me, $30k+ is the target.
Bitcoin has only had two red Octobers in its history, so there is a really high probability that we will see a rise this October. It would be good if bitcoin can break the resistance at 32k. But it's probably too early to tell.

That's in the past to speak about October don't expect what happened 2-3 years ago to happen again let's accept what the market is giving us. Bitcoin price might or might not get to what you're expecting and I'm not sure of seeing $32k this month but I'm sure $30k is certain as the price is $27k at the moment it might even get to $29k before the end of this week, just saying though.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 30, 2023, 05:33:25 PM
Tottenham Hotspur are really finding it hard to beat the Liverpool team even with the red card is still hard for them. If  this stays like this till full time then this Tottenham team don't have what it takes to be in the top 4.
Liverpool are now known for coming back from a goal down to win the game but I can't see this game going their (Liverpool) way in as much as they're playing with one man down it's still doesn't show that they have a red card. I just hope the second half would be another entertaining football. I still see this game ending in a draw.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 30, 2023, 05:08:13 PM
Arteta for ones never let the Bournemouth side to play their normal game that's to defend till the end and Arsenal on the other hand don't know how to beat a defending side like Bournemouth, but today the Gunners came with something different to beat the home side Bournemouth.
But what I found interesting in that game is Bokayo Saka, he was unselfish in that encounter, 2 penalties and he gave it to the team captain Odegaard and the surprising one was Kia Havartz who got the second penalty, that alone would boost the morale of Havartz, I hope.
Wasn't expecting what I witnessed today to happen, if it was some players they would have taken all 2 penalties to complete the hat trick but Saka wasn't a greedy player, that's a true team player.

1269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say? on: September 30, 2023, 04:26:13 PM
Bitcoin investment needs so much time and patience before you can be able to achieve something positive from it. Sometimes people don't really know how to relate with what they don't know, instead of asking for help or guidance they rather rush into it just because they've seen other people making profit from it. Nothing good comes easy. I still believe that everything we as humans engage in has to do with a lot of risk before we get to our goal.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 30, 2023, 04:05:04 PM
I still don't know what's stopping Everton from going to relegation all these while, imagine them (Everton) playing very well in the last 2 games and now lost to a very struggling Luton side, I mean what's happening to this Everton team?
I was expecting another win to at least increase the morale of Everton but they were excellently poor.
Luton has a way to even do better in their next game at least they have their first win of the campaign. Let's see how they'll go about the next game against a firing Tottenham, anything can still happen.
1271  Other / Meta / Re: How to check post bursting through ninjastic space on: September 29, 2023, 06:52:57 PM
You don't actually need to use ninjastic for burst posting, but it becomes easier there. And in my thought, you are confused about the rule that icopress has wrote. If you wanted to avoid that, then don't make burst posts --> which means, don't make 30 or 50 posts in just 1 hour. Because that is almost impossible and the value it contains will also be lower.

Some people do drop more than 30 post in less than 2-3 hrs. And I ask how do they do that, is it that they use some kind of robot to accomplish that?  Too fast for my liking.

Well from Icopress rules you don't have to do things outside the box and when you're in a campaign and when you haven't joined any campaign are two different things all together in terms posting. The way and manner you post when you haven't joined any campaign would be different from when you're in a campaign.
Because you post without following any rules when you haven't joined a campaign but when you're in a campaign you must follow the rules of the campaign manager, where and where not to post, so you just have to keep track of those rules of any campaign.
1272  Other / Meta / Re: Let's Make The Merit Fun - Win Some Merits And Next Membership In The Meta Board on: September 29, 2023, 01:51:01 PM
There are a lot of forum members, who spend their free time in this forum. And sometimes forum life need some fun for development, so I think admin must make virtual roulette in the meta board with free spins for all members. So forum member make free spins and win - either merits or next membership each day, even hero and legendary membership. So this will be more attractive forum and not so serious.
The forum merits is one of the biggest admin mistakes, they are 100% useless, ( for example, forum member with IT higher education will almost always be step higher than any other member with just home made IT knowledge, so how can home educated forum member can give merits in IT field to member with university education ).
Spammers and trash posters are present in all forums, also here - merit system can not help, if the member want to spam & trash, he/she will do it.
Spam/trash is subjective too, for me this Economics board thread with many replies Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? for forum with international members is spam/trash, but at the same time other forum members may be like it.
So I think this gamble roulette will make forum life more fun & happy.

Was trying my best to read all you said but at some point I had to stop because you just said something that's crazy.
If the spin to earn merit and new membership as you called, come to play, do you think this place would be the way it is? It seems to me that you're that type that doesn't like stress, you want things to be done for you then you sit and be giving orders.
Bro, is best to have it this way, lemme tell you something, some people take this place as a very serious place than you can think of. Do you think people are here to play, like drop one funny emoji and log off for the day? Don't you know that when there's too much fun you can't identify who's serious?
Nothing is wrong with having fun but not on this Forum, if you want fun go to Facebook or Twitter X and other places you could think of.
If you think Forum merit is a big mistake then your words ain't suppose to be taken seriously, maybe you have no idea how hard it is to keep this Forum the way it is.
Lemme tell you, if you think some of these legendary members are where they are now just by sitting and expecting manna to fall from above then you must be mistaken.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 29, 2023, 01:14:17 PM
predicting this match is a little difficult because if you want to explore how these two teams actually have equal performance at the moment, so even though Fulham will host this match, it does not mean Chelsea will lose. maybe Chelsea is currently unstable but we have to look at the bright side before placing a bet. lets just look at the few times these two teams have faced each other to compete and in the match between these two teams we can see that even though they have equal performance and Chelsea looks a little bad, it is possible that this team will beat Fulham. It would be better to be careful placing bets on this match and for myself it would be safer not to bet on this match.

I would really see Chelsea beat the Fulham side, I know it would be another difficult game for the Blues and I expect the fans to accept defeat before the kick off of that game just in case, because from all I saw between Chelsea vs Brighton, the Blues could not take chances given to them and they still lack that shooting from outside, almost all the coaches in EPL have known Chelsea to be a team that love driving the ball into the 18 yard box without shooting till they're being dispossessed of the ball, so I don't see Fulham being scared of Pochettino's attackers.
But it seems the Chelsea side have a promising attacker, I mean the man Broja, I so much love the way the player move and attack to get the ball, who knows he might be the change Chelsea have been looking for, if Pochettino start him and Jackson the attack can be more deadly for opposition.
But for now let's see if Chelsea can get a win, to me I see that game as a draw game, after all is a London Derby.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 29, 2023, 11:50:09 AM
In the last two games Barcelona have been struggling to get to that winning ways like a comfortable winning ways.
Barcelona will be hosting Seville a stubborn side is going to be very difficult for the home team and I can't say who's going to win but as it is a draw is certain on this fixture.
Xavi needs to get his team together if they want to win this game because in their last game they played out 2-2 which would have taken them to the top if they had won and always coming from behind won't help them in this fixture if they let Seville to scored first, so I just want to see a great game tonight.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 29, 2023, 11:19:05 AM

I don't think he has anything to apologize for after all the coach is finding it hard to admit that he has done wrong.  Sancho on the other hand, has only committed one offense which is not being in his best form, so why on earth would the coach say he's not doing well in training? The player said he's doing fine, if the coach don't like him is best to say Sancho isn't in his plan and let the player start packing his stuff to any available club.
I have this feeling that this issue is on the palm of the coach, and I don't see this as a sign of discipline at all, ETH doesn't like Sancho and it won't help the team.
I don't think Sancho would help the team as well, instead of allowing his pride make his form to reduce more why not apologise to the coach so as to start training with the first team, maybe the coach would give him a chance to prove himself and show to the fans that the coach was wrong, by displaying a very good performance on the pitch, after all Wambissaka was also called and even benched for Dalot but the coach but he worked hard to improve and impressed the coach.

That's almost the same thing with David de Gea, he never had that self pride, like saying something and stick to it no matter how dedicated he has been with the side, and Man UTD knew so they took advantage of the situation, that's why Manchester United player with him till they allowed him go. Now with Sancho, I think the player doesn't want same thing to happen to him and the coach shouldn't get away with it this time around. You can't just say something that's not true about me and get away with it and even expect me to apologize and make me look stupid, that's not cool.
Sometimes is better to forget as in never to buy what the managers tells the media because they can make the players look like the bad one and them the saint.
What I'm saying is that Sancho and Erik ten Hag should look for a way to settle it.

Quote
Erik Ten Hag is the coach of Manchester United and he knows what's best for his team, if they coach says you're not doing fine, or meeting up with his standards, then it's left for the player to be very punctual in the training ground and work hard to be at his best, instead of replying back to the coaches comment like Sancho did, a disrespect to the coach is like disrespecting the club, Sancho won't dare try such a thing if it were in Sir Alex Ferguson's era, i don't even think he would've made the 1st team.

You have said it all and I quite agree with you on this but you should never forget that sometimes these coaches over step their boundaries and they feel since they're the coach they're free to do whatever they feel like and they'd get away with it.
Players deserve their respect too.
1276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: September 29, 2023, 10:49:31 AM
No need to be confused but just enjoy the price movement because it looks like the price still can't increase too much.
Even if it can, it may not reach above $29k, so we have to be satisfied seeing the price can reach higher than it was some time ago.
There will be a time when it can increase drastically and in the meantime, you should focus on collecting more bitcoins because the time to increase drastically may come suddenly.
I'm still not sure if the price can surpass $28k or even $30k by the end of this month but who knows, it becomes a reality so that in the following months, bitcoin can rise even higher.

I hope you're still looking at the price because is going somewhere positive, now we have it at $27k and to be sincere with you on this I feel the price is going to surprise your imagination.
It will definitely surpass $28k and as it is I'm expecting it to get to $29k before end of this month, I just had that feeling that this month would be better than last month.
October can be the month of surprise who knows, like it will be hitting $30-32k, I'm not saying you should believe me but just observe how it moves.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 29, 2023, 12:00:00 AM
After what happened between Ten Hag and Sancho, we are still waiting to see Sancho moving forward and apologize for what he said a few days ago, but there's no news yet about him.
I think Manchester United should somehow close the case before it damages the team even harder than this.
Recently, Dimitar Berbatov, the former palyer of Mancshter United started talking about this drama and he said, Sancho should apologize because didn't earn many achievements with this team and he thinks Macnshter United should kick him out of the team because he is not very important palyer for Mancshter united.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12571167/Jadon-Sancho-Man-United-Erik-ten-Hag-Dimitar-Berbatov.html

1279  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading can ruin you on: September 28, 2023, 11:44:16 PM
Business, trading whatever the case maybe just know that it has to do with taking risk and it mustn't be profitable all the time. You have to also have someone who's in the market before you to at least coach you through, give you some words of advise, not that because you think you know or have an idea of trading that you can do it on your own. Ones you have someone to guide you then I don't think it will ruin you.
Even when you have that experience you still need a strategy to follow, because having a strategy will help you more than you could ever imagine. Sometimes those you refer to as "newbies" might be doing quite well more than yourself so is best to take advise from different sources just to be on the safer side.

Like I said, it's just like we're back in 2015-17.

I don't get it, is it that it was better back then in 2015-17 or worse, which is better? I wasn't there and I believe you have see things that went down in this Forum and I can't tell which is more preferable, now or then.
I really dislike some of these crazy act especially the use of AI, it makes me ask why then do we have that thing called brain to work with, maybe some of us don't have brain to work with that's why they go for AI.
