Children born out of wedlock to me is a blessing from God, a better one for that matter and we shouldn't forget that no one knows tomorrow and what that child will become in future. Fine that act isn't good but haven't we have this thought that things might be changing for good, like those things we say ain't good is some how things that's suppose to be happening now. God knows why things happen the way they do and is not everyone who's suppose to give birth in marriage, some can only give birth in that manner (wedlock) and later get married and you'll see that the marriage is more blessed than those who waited till they got married before having children. Nobody knows how God plans things for us so to me that word and how people treat those who have children before marriage shouldn't be anymore.
302  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coping with expectations on: February 25, 2024, 02:36:58 AM
You will only make yourself more upset if you keep dealing with other people’s expectations rather than focus on yourself and value on what you can give and what you can’t. Those expectations might create more motivation for you but in reality, they will just create pressures on you. And you don’t need pressures but family love and support to whatever you’re capable to achieve. Just be honest with your family. The reality won’t hurt them if they will know it earlier rather than pretending you’re okay but you’re not.

Sometimes it doesn't really work that way by having that focus on yourself but the way they treat you makes it look like you have nothing to offer, they even make you feel so small. Even when you're doing the things you know how to do best it seems like you're going about it the wrong way and ones your mind is divided I don't think you can concentrate on things around you.
Pressure is one crazy thing that families love to give to their children especially the male child (1st born to be precise), when you have that responsibility of taking care of things in the family and you're taking your time to do your thing, the next thing you'll see how they see your efforts as trash, 88% of the family members don't care how their children manage all they want is be at the higher level as your mates and they hardly listen, so sharing your problems with some family members is a waste of time.

Manchester United are really making a mess in this game still lacking that coordination and I believe it will some how affect them because since the beginning of this game it has been all about Fulham and they're in charge of the midfield throughout the first half and they dominate the game as if they're playing at home.
Pereira for me is the man of the moment, things do happens when he's with the ball and Fulham don't need any dull moment if they want to win this game, going for a counter attack is something they're good at in this game and the midfield of Man UTD are very slow in tracking back after losing the ball.
In the second half I wish Marco Silva would make at least one substitute in that Fulham midfield, Iwobi should be brought out, he's too careless with the ball and he lacks that perfection in front of goal that's to say his finishing is too poor, he still needs to gain control in this game and the visitors shouldn't waste any more chances if they want to win this game because I only see Fulham making more progress to get a win than UTD.
304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coping with expectations on: February 23, 2024, 03:46:49 PM
Expectation from people could be the driving force that keeps us going or the reason why some of us gets depressed because of our inability to meeting those expectations.

Because some children did well while growing up in there preliminary classes, people always expect you to come out of the university with destinction and when you're unable to do so, it could get you depressed because it appears most time as though you've failed big time in life and that no one will even understand you at all. I'm at a cross road where my parent and siblings believe so much in me, academically, because I did well in high school but the reality is that I wasn't my best in the university and no one wants to imagine that its a possibility.

How then do I mange the expectation of people on me such that i don't get into depression when I'm  unable to meet up with it.?

It's almost like everyone knows you're going to succeed but don't even care about what you're passing through while you're striving to make them proud.

The thing is that parents in general don't care how their children feel, all they want from their children is go and get me your best, is not bad but the way they go about it is wrong, too much of expectations causes depression and one can lose focus on what he or she is doing.
Not that some children don't know what to do but checking on them to know what they want and all that can let them lose concentrate and another thing or mistake parents make is comparing their children with other people's children when they're not doing well in school or maybe in business too, with that happening it kills their morela. With how some parents are expecting their children to do better like their mates it makes them to look useless in the society, is just bad.
305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 23, 2024, 11:57:35 AM
Things about Lyon this season is really surprising and some of us thought they would have been struggling to get to the top 4 judging by their performance last campaign (at least it was some how encouraging) but things went hard for them, lack of winning and it was as if they sold their best players without replacing them.
With how they played in their last game I believe they're now ready to avoid that relegation zone completely because as of 3 months back they were sitting at the bottom but now things are getting better and I hope tonight's game would be more better than their last game with much goals to prove that they're really back to winning ways.
Metz are not that good and on paper Lyon are the favorite but I won't want to say it would be an easy game, these days those teams at the bottom likes acting up when we're getting the the concluding part of the season.
Tonight's encounter I'd say Lyon are coming out with a full force to get all 3pts but it won't be a clean sheet for the visitors, I'd go for a 1-3 win in favor of Lyon.
Ligue 1 has a very tight schedule from the middle of the table, despite the fact that Lyon is in 11th place, and this is mid-table, they are only three points away from Nantes, who are in the relegation zone, so Lyon have not yet secured themselves enough to feel calm. But it seems to me that there is no threat to drop much lower, they are playing well enough to finish this season without big problems and think about the next season.

Of course they can still try to achieve something in the French Cup, but PSG is there and therefore I don’t think they can win the cup.

If we're taking about Lyon I don't think they're in any way close to winning any trophy even if they are it can't be achieved because their recent form can't grant them any trophy. We have different clubs in the Ligue 1 that can deliver no matter how bad they play but Lyon to me hasn't gotten that mojo or high spirit to battle for any trophy.
I just hope this position they (Lyon) are now won't slip off their hands because to me I don't see them having that consistency.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 23, 2024, 08:38:47 AM
I was impress to see Lyon performance recently because they have strong mentally which makes Lyon was successfully to gets several the winning results in Ligue 1 and from those results too Lyon finally can able to avoiding relegation zone although their position is still not fully secured but at least Lyon opportunity to survive at Ligue 1 very wide open and today they want to resumes their winning streak with attempts to beat Metz and on the paper this is very possible to do so because Metz performance is very poor and since December Metz was never gets the winning results again

Lyon was done effective transfer this January because some of new players just like Gift Orban or Nemanja Matic can adapt quickly with Lyon and they also can makes Lyon is more solid now and all of those players which i mentioned above will be available today and they are in the good fitness however Lyon currently has gets 4 winning streak and the latest is they can able to win with narrow score from strong team Nice and today too i am quite confident Lyon can able to resumes their positive records and collect 3 points from Metz and for betting purposes Lyon has good odds @1.99

Things about Lyon this season is really surprising and some of us thought they would have been struggling to get to the top 4 judging by their performance last campaign (at least it was some how encouraging) but things went hard for them, lack of winning and it was as if they sold their best players without replacing them.

307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble with what you can afford to lose can actually make a good investment on: February 23, 2024, 08:15:00 AM
With all humanity, I have came across several topics and thread that speaks about gambling with what we can afford to lose, sometimes this kept me wondering and pondering why this words "Gamble with what we can afford to lose" is always common. Okay let me digress from that, and come to think of this you will see people gambling with at least $1 to $100 or even more this is dependent of what anyone can risk right? Yes!

Put this in places that if you keep those money into investment do you know how much you would gain by the end of the month or year without even you making such profits while gambling but yet we kept preaching the word "gamble with what you can afford to lose" why not some people use that same money to go into bitcoin investment or any other investment that could help their lives rather than wasting them into gambling and even secure a better winning themselves.

Does this really make sense, sometimes I have to reason twice and come to think about something very important which we don't always pay heed to because we always believe that when spending about $1 to $4 is something we can afford to lose right but, it may surprised you if you Sum all this little dollars into investment and savings you (we) would probably make a good investment and savings at the process reducing our gambling rates and lost.

Let us discussed to if this can save someone from gambling addiction.

OP, to me you're getting things all wrong. That saying that going like this, "gamble with what you can afford to lose" only means you have to make use of the available money you can afford to lose and if you're done with that amount, you stop and don't go about complaining and making those around you feel like they're the cause.
Talking about investment I can beat my chest that Gambling is another form of investment. Gambling have changed the status of some individual and if you don't know, some people use it to establish themselves, opening other businesses, feeding their family, I mean name it. So if you're making Bitcoin as the best way to invest rather than using the money for gambling then I must disagree with that.
In Bitcoin investment you can't say you don't lose like gamblers do lose, everything in this life is all about risk and it depends on how you go about it, at this point I must say Gambling is another form of business/investment that can generate money as well as Bitcoin and the both doesn't favor everyone who engage in it.

I wouldn't say Arsenal lost because of inexperience but lack of coordination and Arteta is to blame for all that happened in that game, what stops him from changing a player (Havertz) who isn't in the game and what is Raya still doing as the first choice goalkeeper in the Arsenal squad? Arteta used his own hands to kill the good form of Ramsdale and whenever he's in the goalpost he makes careless errors which is unlike him and I believe if he (Ramsdale) plays like 2-3 games the form would come back and even better.
Arteta is waiting for that moment when Raya will cause a great blunder on the goalpost like in the final of any game that's when he'll think of letting him seat on the bench, I still don't see this goalkeeper as a better choice for Arsenal and the annoying part is that Raya is on loan from Brentford, is so painful and I feel for the England shot stopper Ramsdale. Let's see if the Gunners can turn the game around in the second leg at the Emirates stadium.
I think arsenal lost that match because they underestimated the Porto team and forgot how coordinated the Porto defence have been this season. I think the arsenal coach neglected some vital technical details about FC Porto which could have turned that game around for his gunners side, you can't be playing against a team like FC Porto that play with great pace and have solid defence and you have a player like Havert on the pitch who can't even match the strength or pace of the Porto players, the gunners couldn't even find the back of the net even with their recent form where they scored eleven goals in two matches, the performance of arsenal was below expectation and i hope they could turn things arround when they host porto at the emirate soon.

I don't think Arsenal really underestimated the Porto side and we know how strong they (Porto) have been since the beginning of this very campaign and I think they're trying in their league. Arteta's boys did pretty bad last night and it might affect their play this weekend when they go head to head against Newcastle, I mean how can you go all through the game without a single shot on target, that's not the Arsenal team we saw beat Burnley last week.
Porto could choose to be stubborn at the Emirates with much defending and it can even end 1-1 in that encounter with Arsenal being kicked out of the competition and I can't really say the Gunners have what it takes to move to the next round as it is coupled with the fact that this is the first time Arteta is handling a team in the round of 16 of the champions league, so I'd say it would be a 50/50 thing if the Gunners scale through.

At this point in time Bitcoin price is never moving towards $60k and above, it's just stock between $50-52k and it has a way of discouraging traders and those who plan on holding, sometimes it triggers that urge to start panicking. This week we haven't gotten the need to say Bitcoin price will go above $55k all we get is mostly the negative part of the movement and it stays that way for long, it would have been better to have Bitcoin price at $58k by now heading towards $60k+ but is like the remaining part of this month is not going to be positive.

Tuchel will leave Bayern at the end of the season.

The natural choice is now Klopp.

Sometimes I ask is Tuchel the problem? This man has never been the problem of Bayern Munich even the last coach before Thomas Tuchel, things in the Munich ground is a bit complicated. Is best they start to rebuild the team as quick as possible or else we might be seeing a heavy blow on this might club called Bayern Munich.
Year in year out we have been seeing same players dominating the league and it's time for a big change in that league, there's a new sheriff in town (Bayer Leverkusen) and they should get used to it and is not about changing of coaches, sometimes these changes makes these coaches look like they're not good.
Well I still don't see anything new if Klopp comes in, if Bayer Leverkusen continue this dominance I believe no coach can stop them that easy. Would have love to see Tuchel stay for long at Bayern but this isn't where he's suppose to be, Chelsea is the best place for him.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 21, 2024, 06:04:28 PM
I think Arsenal will struggle to beat FC Porto at the stadium of Estadio do Dragao today even though the players of Arsenal are currently looking to be in their best form. The defense of FC Porto are great when they are playing at their home stadium but their offense and ability to score goals are not that ideal this season and I guess this 1st leg match might ends up with a draw between these two teams.

Since the beginning of this year the Gunners have been very much flexible with the ball and their style of play towards goal has been wonderful, I'd give it to Arteta on how he has transformed the players and I expect more from them. The champions league has a spirit of it's own and you can see the worse team to be very strong but as for this game tonight I expect Arsenal to come all out like this is the last game in this competition.
Porto might be good in defense but the Gunners are going to break the defense line of the home team, they might be difficult at half time but I believe what we saw during the weekend between Arsenal against Burnley might come to play tonight, not the goals but that sharp play of the Gunners, things will be easy for Arsenal and I don't see them playing a draw, a 1-3 in favor of the EPL side.

Not sure if $100k is going to be possible because of recent the price of BTC have reach $50k and ever since then it haven't surpass $52k. I agree that the year is still fresh but it doesn't guarantee us that before the next 2 months that we might get a little bit closer to $90k and I'm not certain that it will happen judging from the market movement, is not hitting up as it's suppose to be, maybe during the halving that's when we might see some changes in the market movement.

Manchester City has made a mistake in the last match by just playing a draw so this time they won't repeat it we know that Manchester City wants to take over the standings so they have to win all the remaining matches including today's match. I have to say this will be an easy win for Manchester City and they will shift Arsenal in the 2nd position then wait for the right moment to shift Liverpool. If Manchester City won today then they are only one point adrift behind Liverpool this means that the opportunity is still there and if Manchester City lose today then they will end.

Furthermore, Before you start to assume that Manchester City will knock Arsenal out of second place, I think you have to wait and see what the team can accomplish against Brentford.

Every assumption came to reality brother, Manchester City are never going to let that 3pt slide after the draw against Chelsea and do you expect that last minute pressure to just go like that without producing a goal? No, the thing is that Man City are still struggling and the little clubs will do everything possible to stress and frustrate them till they break and even if they're going to win it will be difficult and it will continue like this till they either lose to a smaller clubs or one of the big boys.
As for Arsenal they're waiting for the right moment when Liverpool and Manchester City will drop point because as it is I don't feel Arteta will lose any game till the end of the season. City against Arsenal will be a cracker and I can't wait for those two to knock horns.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 20, 2024, 06:31:22 PM
Tonight Manchester City will host the Bees at the Etihad Stadium and it will level the number of games being played with the other 3 clubs in the top 4, at least the outstanding will be gone for good without adding pressure on the other 2 clubs (Liverpool and Arsenal). With a win tonight it only be 1pt clear from topping Liverpool and from what I'm seeing Liverpool are not in a very sharp state with the number of injuries they have in their 1st eleven, I believe they'd be hoping for Brentford to do them a favor to at least get City off their back.
Brentford almost got something in the game against Liverpool and if all chances was coverted I believe the Bees would have drew the game because their spirit was high in that encounter but visiting the Etihad Stadium is never going to be easy after the Citizens drew against the Blues. I don't see the host taking any chances and they (City) will make life a living hell for the visitors.

Manchester City has made a mistake in the last match by just playing a draw so this time they won't repeat it we know that Manchester City wants to take over the standings so they have to win all the remaining matches including today's match. If Manchester City won today then they are only one point adrift behind Liverpool this means that the opportunity is still there and if Manchester City lose today then they will end.

The opportunity is still their quite alright but this season is a bit tricky you don't know who's going up or down and by this time last campaign City are leading (if I'm not mistaken), but for sometime now you'd agree with me that Man City have been unbalanced, the force of doing things like before haven't been coming and from all you said is like you're excluding Arsenal in the race.
I still believe that even if Man City get a win in this game tonight both them and Liverpool will still lose one or two games before the end of the season and if you ask me between the 3 teams (Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal) who's more sharp since we only have a three horse race for the title I'd say Arsenal because since they came back from this crazy holidays things have been falling in place for the Gunners and as for Klopp, I don't see him getting a trophy this season.
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 20, 2024, 06:19:26 PM
Inter are really very highly favoured today. I must say that they have been doing a superb work in the Serie A so far. But their opponent is Atletico Madrid anyway. This is technically a quite difficult match on paper. Atletico Madrid aren't having a poor season either so I wonder where I'm missing a point.  Sad  I don't feel like it would be a very comfortable win for Inter in terms of score. But when it comes to how this would end up I would expect Inter to win one way or another.

They had better do so because their job will be much more difficult in Spain.  Wink

I can't predict this match even though Inter Milan is favored maybe because of playing at home but there is no guarantee Inter Milan will win, I think this match will end with a low goal and for under 2.5 goals not a bad idea. Atletico Madrid will play more defensively and hope this match will end in a draw so in the second leg Atletico Madrid will try to win it, it's just that today Inter Milan will not let it be easy after all Inter Milan will try to take advantage of the opportunity to play at home so that in the second leg their duties will be easier.

I don't really see a favorite in any champions league game and they don't get to win that easy but in this game I believe Inter are going to do their best to get a win at home and we all know Atletico Madrid and their style of defending especially in the champions league as of then but this season their style have changed a little, this game can produce more then 2 goals because the visitors are now playing a very open game than their best known defending pattern.
The first half can end in a draw but the 2nd half will be promising with more actions and maybe goals, that's if Inter Milan scores first but if the visitors get the first goal I believe Diego Simeone will go back to that defensive style, the coach is some how hard to predict, if I'm to predict I'd go for a draw.

Pep Guardiola's boys haven't found their sharpness in them since the return of Haaland, we haven't seen that player who's hungry for goals but instead we're getting a player who only run round the pitch and waiting for the right moment to shot the ball off target.
Things haven't been going well for the big man and I think it would be better to let him enjoy the bench for a while because I feel this game isn't going to be about him and we'll see much of the Bees causing much damage, it would be a tight game tonight.
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: February 20, 2024, 11:41:43 AM
I've been confused for several days about something that led to this thread. Many may find my subject ridiculous, fanciful, or incoherent, or I may be critical, but I still need to clear my doubts.

I want to give my opinion on some threads when I read threads of senior, legendary, or ranked , but being a newbie, I am afraid to join discussions with seniors, (legendary) members. The scary thing is (though it may be completely wrong to think), I think, can tell me, how a newbie engages in discussions with seniors, wants to give advice, what I know and how little I know. Also, I have a small number of threads that have no merit (that's my main fear). I even stopped commenting on some posts, thinking I might be wrong in my knowledge, even though I was right.

I know this thread will seem like nonsense to many but I took a lot of courage, and now I want to know if it's just my mistake or if it happens to many freshmen. But I have seen many newbies join the threads of senior, legendary or ranked members, but I hold back for fear of lack of courage. I can't move it at all.

If this is not the case for many in new situations, and if this fear applies to me, how do I overcome it?

All your valuable suggestions will be appreciated.

OP I understand the fear, is like engaging yourself in a conversation where you're the only young one and the rest are elders (Older people), you may have ideas and what you say can really help like in case of the Forum you might have a better information to give but seeing that you're not in that category of people who are dropping comments and also belittle yourself will just kill your confidence.
I ones had that thought but after sometime i said to myself that even if I make any mistake I believe that we have those who can correct me (we're all here to learn) and by doing so I'm learning and there's no need to hide what I know or hide my thoughts.
To me I wouldn't say you should see the legendary member hero members senior members are those who are invincible or you see them as those who have all the knowledge (they're also humans like you are) and you can't or you don't have anything to contribute, the highest you can do is make research on what they're saying that's if you have no clue and if there's any mistake from you they'd correct you.
