1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 05, 2023, 07:01:55 PM

Regulation is making people doubt crypto. Gensler had really made a big punishment for those people since they are afraid of touching crypto because of the uncertain laws about it. Not everyone is going to believe what is in the news as well. Every bear market, things people hear on social media is that Bitcoin is dead. Can't blame the people for not trying to invest because they didn't even realize BTC is real nor what halving could do to the market.

If the government (SEC) just don't try to ruin its market, they could have created more millionaires in Gary's tenure.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: July 05, 2023, 06:40:21 PM
Gambling is predominantly female, with males outnumbering it, which is in all countries. In different countries, offline casino sites are more male than female. However, nowadays women also play a lot of gambling in online casinos, but less than men. Men always think of how to make quick money through gambling and other illegal ways to improve their lives. But a woman doesn't have such an alternative plan, so instead of getting addicted to gambling, she plans to spend her future well. And because of such alternative planning of women they are not interested in gambling but men are more addicted to gambling.
Gambling is all about taking risks, and women tend to not take a lot of risks especially when it comes to putting money on the line, they generally stay away from such things and that is the reason why they don't gamble much, some women do, of course, but the majority of gamblers are men because they take risks more often then women and they believe in the theory that you can only get huge rewards if you take big risks and gambling is exactly about that.

Women usually either like spending their time and money on things that give them something in return, maybe do some shopping, buy things for the home or themselves, or maybe even make investments where they are sure that they will get something in return, but they don't waste any money on things like gambling.

In the OP, it says something else. They look at poker as a game of calculating the odds which is just binary. I have not played poker many times with women but most probably if you play with young women on the poker table, the game will all bluffs.

But women generally are not gamblers, they wanna make sure they get something. It's always security that comes first. Girls are always looking for boys with cold hard cash since they are always Mister Right.  Grin

1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 05, 2023, 05:24:07 PM

Is Hillary even going to win this time?  But the DEM will still have a smile on their faces at least for good they can finally breathe properly and relax which they couldn't do as they can't just leave Biden alone. A few minutes with a journalist will already mean exposing a ton of state secrets he sold. But it's also too convenient for Hillary. The lady had done crazy stuff in the past.

The machinery created to spread black propaganda against the Democrats are working hard again. This consiracy theory about Hillary Clinton and her aide has recently been becoming more visible in social media.

✂✂✂

I haven't heard anything about this recent scandal. But at the same time, the mainstream media went crazy about the allegations made by Stormy Daniels. Whatever happened between Trump and Daniels was purely consensual, and even then Trump was demonized for that. On the other hand, photos and videos showing Hunter Biden involved in serious criminal behavior was leaked sometime back and the mainstream media never covered this story. And you still want to believe that the media is biased against Joe Biden and favoring Trump?

Actually, it is not a new thing. It is a rumor which is very common among those in the far right, about a very disturbing video featuring Hillary and other people close to her mutilating and drinking the blood out of a child. You know, the typical satanic ritual which was filmed for some reason.

Though, I must admit that even though that rumor is crazy. I cannot deny that Hillary gives bad vibes and the leaked emails she exchanges with other people are quite disturbing on their own... Have you read them?

The rumors also say that the elite's drug of choice is adrenochrome which can be taken by drinking the blood of a terrorized victim. They prefer innocent children and teenagers because the adrenochrome is more potent.

Also, can you share the source of the leaked emails? It might make the readers of the thread to bet for a Republican hehehehehe.

^ The open south border brings the drug of choice of the poor guys which is fentanyl.  Looking back on history, the Chinese were once addicted to Opium which caused their fall. Now it's China that is buying American companies and giving loans.

1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's find out which gambling game is the most played among our community... on: July 05, 2023, 03:53:40 PM

Let's vote and see which games we find most exciting, entertaining, or rewarding. Smiley
I voted for sportsbetting because it is a very popular thing in my environment. Everyone around me bets on sports, but I do not bet on it yet even though I have some knowledge about it. It is very possible that if I decide to start gambling, sportsbetting will be my first choice to start with. My other option was dice, because I find it very exciting and quite entertaining too. I play with friends, but have never gambled on it. If I start gambling, it will be one of my first two choices.

I also voted for sports betting since in my region that is what we are familiar with in my region and the most-watched sport is football people, I do bet but not frequently I bet on very interesting matches, so is strictly for fun before I get addicted there is a limit to what I bet, sports betting is very easy for me so I think you made the right choice, dice maybe to experiment, to know how it feels trying something new aside that still prefer my sport betting, you have a point you can easily get addicted once you continue placing bet before you know you already a addict.

Dice is like slot, they are more addictive than sports. Studies show that it's the slot game that made women gambling addicts, they just sit down in those chairs pulling levers while chatting with other players. It's their social activity (slotting) with their casino friends that made them miss each other so they keep doing it and got addicted.

Doing it online seems impossible to get addicted. Those who got addicted to casino games and sports betting started offline and brought their activity online because they still couldn't stop even after trying.
1265  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese city now accepts CBDC payments for bus rides on: July 05, 2023, 02:06:14 AM

Crazy that this only started this year. China had been piloting CBDC since 2020, it seem very a very slow integration to their bus system if you know how good Chinese are in developing a system.

US had been piloting AFAIK too which Biden is about to give universal compensation since more companies are already signing up on their CBDC.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 04, 2023, 05:40:38 PM
-snip-

Remember one thing. Trump would have won the 2020 elections hands down, if not for the COVID pandemic. It was the poor handling of the pandemic that cost him the elections. His approval ratings were much higher than what Biden is having now, and economy was growing at a brisk pace until the beginning of 2020. And this is when the pandemic struck. And Trump also made a few follies, by refusing to support the lockdown measures. Biden handled the pandemic much worse than Trump, but by then the elections were over.
Due to several mistakes and controversial actions taken by Trump, he lost in the previous election but now he has managed to regain public trust and it seems that many Americans are starting to give support to Trump compared to Biden.
The Covid pandemic that had hit the whole world caused several countries to experience problems and also leaders experienced a bit of interference to be able to act and think carefully so that Trump took actions that were enough to make many US citizens feel furious.

After Trump's performance to gain the trust of US citizens has been successful, it is still very likely that in the election that Trump will be far superior to Biden.

It's not Trump regaining trust. He still sucks but less shameful I guess when a president is not someone who falls on the stairs several times and murmurs in public, Trump will be preferred.

Let's say Biden is supported by partisans, are we really going to see a president reelected despite the obvious Dementia? Look at him closely while he speaks to the public, the old man doesn't know where he is. He belongs to a nursing home.

1267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can DEX Replace CEX as the Future of Crypto Trading? on: July 04, 2023, 05:30:49 PM
With the activation of CBDC, it wouldn't be surprising that more users will prefer the DEX for privacy. Although the prices really differ in each platform, I think users will find it a lot more important to have privacy than sending KYC documents.  33.4% is a surprising growth just this year.

What is not great about DEXes is that they usually have no BTC in them. No BTC wallet that works to connect but Metamask. The users depend on how many are fans of ETH and all its 2nd layers.
1268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy more ETH..... on: July 04, 2023, 04:45:45 PM
Im expect ethereum to go to the its ATH before it will break another record. that thing will possible to happen only if bitcoin will reach another all time high again. That being said that buy both bitcoin and ethereum for long term.
Bitcoin has been recovering so fast as well as ethereum since it was traded at the bottom at the earliest of this year.

What you have said above was actually make sense but im feeling doubt if people gonna hear it as they will not able to make a profit in short term. I meant they shall put eth as long term investment.
Short term will not even work in this kind of coin. It's caused by big marketcap makes it even hader to be pumped and dumped by traders.
Imho it also depends on fundamentals. IF ETH manages to scale (cut the fees and increase the såeed while increasing transactions), it might as well surpass BTC in marketcap. I know people have been waiting flippening for a long time and when it seems to be closer there will be even harsher crash.

I am basing this on my feelings on the markets and rather long experience i have with crypto markets. Eth doesn't need Vitalik as a central figure anymore and Vitalik doesn't seem to want to jump the ship every time like Daniel Larimer.

Those who have huge holdings, will not need pumpin anymore. They are already rich and with their coin POS, every week is like winning a lottery for those guys. Those from institutions are going to stake of course, these are the guys who want to make money using the money. Anyone would want to be part of the network to make money, it's the price that is preventing poor people from investing.

The recent news you can find today is that Vilatik is not staking his ETH. He sure is not like those guys.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 04, 2023, 04:31:01 PM
Nice. I started reading from the top, I was very amazed at what I have been reading since I have been doing exactly what he meant about betting on the favorite in the long run. Nicely written intro until I realize it was actually a pitch about this "Be The Hunter".

You find it BS because lets you believe that you'll lose money regardless of whether you bet on low odds or high odds. One good thing he told though is checking the odds on other bookies. Its very much needed when you doubt about your bookmaker.

I wonder if someone from here bought that Be The Hunter.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: July 04, 2023, 04:09:02 PM
Nope, Inoue already has established a good name and he has been mentioned by several boxing legends and some active boxers as well. Whoever Inoue is facing it will always going to generate a good money because the boxing fans would come to see Inoue's performance.

A boxer who have an excellent skill sets can be easily become popular that will attract boxing fans.
While he could generate a good amount of money, it doesn't compare to what he could make in the higher division. We can take a cue from the experience of Pacquiao. He was already popular in the lower division, but he didn't earn the same kind of money until he moved up to the higher division.
Of course, the higher the division the higher the paycheck. But it really depends on his body, on how far he can get his frame. Maybe 130 lbs might be huge for him though. Not sure if he can fight on that weight class, but let's see.

Even though that Manny has laid down the blue print, Pacquiao is very different though, I mean his genetics might have been breed for sports not just boxing. But his frame, his legs and that calves which generates power are one of the key for Manny's success and I doubt that anyone can duplicate it.

Inoue does have a strong spine that can carry weight. It just needs weeks to months to get used to it as long as it's gradual in adding weight, it will not be a problem for him. The fight schedule gave him enough to prepare.

Het gets a title shot in this division and then claims it. He then can move to the higher when no one challenges him after it. This is what he is after I think, he is already a top p4p fighter now he needs to claim bets in more divisions.
1271  Economy / Gambling / Re: What other gambling sites offers free bitcoins like freebitco on: July 04, 2023, 03:52:15 PM
Faucets are garbage tbh and, as noted, freebitco.in is the best of all, or the least bad. We can say that it is good in that it has not limited itself to being a faucet and has been able to expand its business over the years.

The other problem that has not been mentioned is that, apart from the fact that it will cost you a lot of time to get something, what you will have is one or several small inputs that will cost you a lot proportionally to move.

For example, let's say you start the free game in freebitco.in from 0 and in 3 months you reach the minimum of 30.000 satoshis to withdraw. That is $9.3 at present.  If you want to spend that money, you will have to pay between $0.50 and $1 in fees if you don't want to risk the transaction staying stuck in the mempool indefinitely and not long ago it would have been more.

Lucky for those who can withdraw. Some faucets wouldn't let anyone withdraw until they reach a threshold that is too high for someone without patience. So if Freebitco allows $10 to be withdrawn, its really must be worth it for those kids.

Making users bet the coins they got from the faucet is already a good bonus, it's a huge chance to win if they can.  They hit the jackpot and withdraw I guess that can be a goal. I haave not seen any success tory about this yet.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turn $40,000 into $4,000,000 with me (Record 2-2) | $40,000 on: July 03, 2023, 07:02:34 PM
As I'm someone who does sports betting, actually I only do sports betting and I don't play casino games, I learned some lessons from a lot of losses that I had, and one of those important lessons that I learned was that you shouldn't be doing sports betting in games with odds of @1.50 or less, because they are not profitable in the long run, just give a great example of OP, when OP hits a bet he gets 50% profit, but on the next bet OP puts the same amount again he placed in the previous bet and in a game with the same odd, and as a result, he loses and only has 50% of the initial bankroll

as soon as OP puts in the 50% of his remaining bankroll he loses everything, and will add more funds again, this cycle will continue until the day comes when OP will be bankrupt and start selling everything he has, the only way to be profitable in gambling and hitting games with high odds, like odds of @2.00 or above, less than @2.00 one will not make any profit in the long run, and that's why even making multibet bets with odds highs is much more advantageous although it is much more risky, for example if a person puts 2 games in a parlay and with that has odds of @4.00 and that person hits, it means that that person will already have 4 more attempts, and if he hits two more games with odds of @4.00 then you will have many more attempts and will hardly break the bankroll

He did obviously take that high odds 4.70 in his last bet and look what happen to him. It's the riskiest among them. He could have been successful if he has patience in winning slowly and less risky like 1.10 odds after all he can bet 40,000 on it. Wining 4000 in 5 games I think is considerable.

Anyway, unsuccessful already. He would be back but I guess he will be creating another thread for it. Such a waste, such money I can't afford to lose already. Better luck next time.
1273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: DISCUSSION-How hard is it to beat a sportsbook? on: July 03, 2023, 06:40:30 PM
You probably didn't try your best to look for a bookmaker that is not a scam. Stake.com had been around for years. I'd be surprised if you hadn't heard of it.

What I'm not sure of is what you mean by beating a sportbook, they are pretty much rich and they limit how much you can bet if they are not able to pay you if you win. Thats sort of how it works and guarantees you may not be able to bankrupt them.

I think his scam description to crypto bookies are those casino that limit a user when they are winning frequently that makes user like him doesn’t have enough time to play more in the casino to generate more profit. Most of the case of casino scam accusation usually involves sports betting. The reason for that is because user is placing only on valued bets or on matches that is flagged as fixed match.

I think he will experience that same even on Stake or other reputable bookie since he mention that he is always successful on having a profit by playing on bookies.

well, if he thinks he's not getting ahead anymore on this type of betting, even playing on reputable bookies, then, he can always change his profession and find another industry where he can earn a lot of money. bookies have their own way of getting ahead of this game, after all, they are in this business to earn as much profits as they can. they will go bankrupt if each bettor will beat the house. so do you think, bookies would let this happen? i don't think so.

Agree with that. I don't see the motivation to topple a casino when he can always win if he is that good at betting despite the limit. He doesn't have to kill the business. I don't see anyone giving a reward to him after making a casino bankrupt unless he owns the other. Just cornering the market.  He can try the newer casinos but the competition ahead of them is already going to make a rough road for them.

But how hard is it to beat a sportsbook, it's not easy.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 03, 2023, 06:22:18 PM
Bitcoin ETF approved + Halving will make the prices go to the moon. It's just a matter of time before things will go our way but there are signs that it's already happening the fact that Halving will happen next year. The governments are already up to making some changes to the regulations, especially in Europe.

We expect a bull run soon but it will really disappoint a lot of investors if all these are not going to happen after halving. Every bull run is different though so this is like the super cycle bull run that they are saying, we are going to be rich!
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 03, 2023, 06:01:40 PM
A little bit off topic but am I the only one who always thought that Mark looked a little bit like an alien?
I just noticed it again because how his eyes look more distant, in comparison to Elon's and the proportions of his face.

Anyways, back on topic: besides betting on the fight, would anyone here dare also to speculate on Tesla and Meta stocks while the fight is on? It would be fun if this happened while the stock market is open, in my opinion.
That might actually be the reason behind all this, to gain publicity and gain profits through the stocks since we all know news like this does affect markets either positively or negatively, but they might have planned this out in the hope that their company stocks might skyrocket after this news gets into circulation which probably didn't happen so far, I doubt if they will actually get into a cage fight which is not a joke at all.

And if that isn't the motive behind all that since both of them are billionaires and don't need more money at all, I keep wondering what could be the reason behind all this and why this thing started in the first place, I read that they have had things against each other but this is far beyond everything.

How did it all start, I only know they are rivals in the tech since Elon bought Twitter and turned it private.

I doubt the stock prices going to be affected when they fight. The fight would be more serious if the two also are going to bet something like the stocks they have from their company. It would make this fight a lot more interesting not just to bettors but to the investors as well to their stocks, especially if whoever wins will get to have a seat on the board  Grin

1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 03, 2023, 05:36:50 PM
This time whole main card looks promising plus Lawlers fight from prelims Cheesy Another test for Volkanovski. How many title defences he has already made? Few more and new UFC record? Arent Volkanovski and Makhachev are planning to fight again? First they were not planning to do it, but later Volkan insisted on him winning their fight and media start to buzz again lately.

Maybe if Volkan wins against Yair. He will insist on that rematch against Mackhachev. Once he has the mic from the media, it's an opportunity to call something out and Volkanov did it.
Just looking at their records, Volkanovski is pretty much better than Yair, Volkanov must have been expecting after this fight as well.

When it comes to power and experience, it's still Volkanovski who will win in this fight. Yair may have some success in his unusual attack but Volka will defeat him.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your rate in betting base on odds alone? on: July 03, 2023, 04:42:33 PM
I'm hoping to make more BTC so the more bets from now on the more chances of winning. I think that's what I'm going to do now before the bull run takes full speed.
Regardless of which game. To me, I bet on Soccer but I seem to have lost every day. How often do you win in Soccer games if you just bet based on odds by picking a team with 1.50 and 1.70?

You have experienced yourself that you have lost every day in soccer games, so why do you want to continue? I have no idea why, is it because you have no idea about you bet (bet blindly by choosing low odds) or because you following other's bets. You are free to do whatever you want to make more money including by gambling but, are you ready to lose it as well? Even if sports betting with lower odds than 1.5, there is still big chance to lose your money. Means that you main purpose to make more btc wont happen unless you are very lucky in one of your bets that give you huge return.

I have more wins than losses so far. Of course, sometimes it's the other way but it's worth doing and in the long run, I think it will work while there is nothing left to do but bet. I use to just bet on sports that I like and know the most also but combat sports are not happening every day. Boxing matches take months and UFC events only happen on weekends.
There are risks still betting on 1.5 because some players turn the tide in a moment and we lose.  It rarely happens, however.

I think for someone who knows nothing about the sport, it's best for him to rely on the odds and the picker's choice. Don't you think?

~

You are right about that, every politician does that, without a doubt the one who is being attacked the most is Trump , but it is because he is very popular, they are accusing him of many things, first of attacking some women, then with what of documents and that audio that he says he took to his residence is something that they have heavily accused him of, I don't know how serious those documents could be, what I can intuit is that after this and if they do not manage to disqualify him, he will Winning for sure is always like this, the other politicians are doing the best propaganda or the best campaign for him , it is strange because the Americans study every detail, and that they neglect that, they cannot be so innocent.

I have only seen a few news on TV, but there are many demonstrating to leave Trump alone, and that is something that helps him a lot because it is taking on much more importance , they make a politician look almost like a martyr for the system , and there is no Nothing better for a politician than that scenario, that's why I say, they continue like this and they are consolidating Trump as president , and apart from everything they are causing a lot of radicalism in favor of Trump.

I have realized that politics in North America is very Similar or is drinking a very similar red to that of South America, where they set dirty traps and do whatever it takes to play very dirty among politicians, I would not be surprised if they adapt to a very capitalist or very far to the left , it is something that I have seen and it is a trend that is very framed worldwide , maybe I am wrong, but it is my Perception.

This is the first time in history actually that we witness all these. We normally just see all this chaos in the 3rd world countries. Things change so far.

The more they try hurting Trump and indict him with all sorts of lawsuits, people see it already that Biden's people are behind it and trying to remove him out to not run for POTUS.
People gather for Trump and not for Biden as they see how corrupt Biden is than Trump. The lesser evil I guess is much preferred and nothing replaces Trump to be the first choice in line.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think topics/discussion on gambling addictions is too much on: July 03, 2023, 03:25:48 PM
You fear addiction talk is deterring rookies, affecting casino earnings? Your focus is amusing. User wellness should be our main concern. If risk discussions dissuade someone, isn't it beneficial? It's preferable they back off than blindly risk a trap. As for casino profits, they can attract freshers. We should advocate responsible gambling over just the entertainment. Because, losing your savings and life's balance isn't enjoyable!
That is why we shouldn't fear talking about addiction risks, especially towards newbies. They really have to be concerned regards addiction, while learning how gambling works, what they can expect from it and how to play in a healthy responsible way before depositing considerable sums of money on platforms to bet. Gambling can be destructive if not practiced responsively and if we avoid talking about it, we are actually creating more issues, since newbies will engage themselves with this activity without knowing the basics, consequently putting themselves in a big financial crisis later.

Even if the users are avoiding casinos already because of the threads about addiction, casinos are still going to be profitable businesses since there are thousands of players willing to throw away their money for entertainment. And with BTC turning mainstream, it will be the preferred choice of money to be gambled in the casinos.

So even if the casino itself put a hotline number for gambling addiction help services on its index page, the casino will still make money.
