301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: December 08, 2023, 04:10:52 PM
And tomorrow night will be the final weigh-in, hopefully I can get to watch it live too (timezone difference). But yeah, Bill Haney is running his mouth and both camps are really disrespectful against each other and for sure fans are hype.

And if I'm not mistaken, tickets is sold out expect maybe those upfront and those expensive tickets.

Hopefully both can really bring their A-game here and they can back up their talks pre-fight.

For sure the ticket price is high for those who are in the front sets, they have a clear view to the actul fight so they have to pay for a bigger price. Anyway, we can also check the PPV price.

The PPV price for subscribers is: $59.99, and $74.99 for non-subscribers. The monthly subscription to DAZN is $19.99 with a 12-month contract or $24.99 month-to-month in the U.S., while the annual subscription costs $224.99.

The PPV is also expensive especially if you are a non-subscriber, no wonder illegal streams are very popular.

You can just bet on casinos as they have a live stream of these fights. You don't need to subscribe to those PPV as long as you have access to the sports betting platform and then you can cast it on your big screen when it's live on your phone. This is what I do when the match starts.

I'm betting for Haney by UD for this fight. Can't say for sure this will happen but most probably since he is new to this division and has inflated himself to get the weight.
302  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: December 08, 2023, 03:01:25 PM

This is just too assuming that you can't control yourself and that you'd eventually lose your coins through gambling. Not everyone is addicted to it. Just try not to gamble, you don't even need to stake your coins.

But it does make sense if you wanna a guarantee to make money, staking stablecoins will be a good option. But 21 days seem too much. I would stay away from that.
303  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: December 08, 2023, 02:47:01 PM
@Inwestour. Tyson Fury would have certainly knocked out Francis Ngannou if he trained properly. A world heavyweight boxing champion almost lost vs. a mixed martial artist in boxing? 1 week training might be an exaggeration, however after his performance, yes I am quite certain Tyson Fury did not have much training.

We can assumed that perhaps Fury could knockout Francis Ngannou if he trained hard. But I guess majority feels that he didn't take his training seriously and now he has to pay for it. I mean it didn't derail his fight against Usyk, but obviously he has take damage in his eye and needed more time to heal.

And this could be a wake up call for him, and Usyk could see this as somewhat a weakness on the side of Fury. Although still size does matter in boxing and Tyson has the advantage but there could be factors that could favor Usyk like being a south paw and the quicker fighter between the two.

This isn't a fight that will be dominated by one fighter based on opinions here, so this makes it very interesting to watch as there are plenty of believers that Usyk will win despite bookies made Fury as the favorite.

Both have their strenght and weakness but we will find out who is the best fighter after the fight only, so just continue the speculation as the more this fight gets hype, the more it will gain the attention of the people resulting to better viewership and of course decent money that both deserves to earn. But as for me, I'm not gonna change my choice as it will remain on Fury.

The odds may not be as discouraging to bet for Usyk. Fury may be the crowd's fave but I think the spread is gonna be close.

IMO Ngannou would have won the fight given more rounds in the fight. He lasted 10, I think he can do 12 and probably KO Fury again. If they are to fight again, Ngannou will be more motivated but less chance of them getting inside the ring. More money is needed for it to happen.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things you should always avoid while gambling ? on: December 07, 2023, 08:22:21 PM
Do not play your entire bankroll in just one dice roll. The fun will be over in less than a second. If you have to bet $0.10 as your starting point then be it. You'll have a higher chance of at least winning some. You'll have some success if you start your martingale from the very minimum amount.

308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not this guy on: November 29, 2023, 01:15:18 AM
This guy is giving me a weird vibe, like a different gambling breed, he knows he have the gambling addiction problem but he just doesn't care, like for real, he doesn't care, the amount he has lost is in six figures but very weird how he is able to handle it.

Some gamblers are different breed to be honest, they don't care about what their present situation is, if they are breathing they are good, anyone know crazy gambler who don't care if they lose big amount of money and they still gamble?

I've get to know that not all gamblers need to be a responsible gambler, some knows, they are not hypnotized by gambling, they are fully awake and they still choose to be a reckless gambler.

In fact, it can be difficult to understand the mind of an addicted and compulsive gambler.
While for a normal player it may seem like an absurd loss, for them it is something normal and perhaps commonplace.

I don't know how well you know this person, but have you ever thought that perhaps the amount of money they are spending is an acceptable percentage given the income they have? I say this because $100 can be the equivalent of $1k for different people, depending on the income they receive and the economic life they have.

In any case, any money spent irresponsibly on gambling is a terrible thing, whether for someone who has a very comfortable financial life or not.

It can be difficult to understand that an addict will spend $80 of that $100 for gambling and $20 on his food. His priority is gonna be displaced for that matter just like the drug addict who will prefer to smoke up his $100 and will think later of crashing to his homeless friend for dinner.

Sometimes it's too late for an intervention but because family is important, his family will not give up. This kind of guy will need that intervention.
309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Request to learn gambling on: November 29, 2023, 12:59:04 AM
No. She's old as you said. She is looking for a second source of income, I don't think it's easy to learn and gambling in a short period of time and make it her 2nd source. Some of us took years in crypto gambling and are still not getting the breakeven point that we just ignore the loss.

Too bad that she may not find a second job due to age but maybe selling something might be a better option. Selling doesn't care about age.

311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling are mainly for rich and lucky mind. on: November 28, 2023, 01:32:10 PM
Well, many of the gamblers gamble because they want to be rich.
They do have a dream of becoming rich through gambling and if they successfully do it I guess their gambling is justified.

But I can say there are more rich people gambling than the poor and I mean the poor who are not able to find jobs but toil harder to earn the bare minimum. The ones in the middle are occasionally gambling.
312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: November 26, 2023, 04:35:20 PM
Recently, there have been many unpleasant surprises for Ukraine, in addition to the new version of the Lancets, these are FPV drones with thermal imagers (capable of operating at night) and cluster bombs with UMPC modules. Meanwhile, many in the West still seem to believe that this military conflict is weakening Russia (and some even continue to believe in the effectiveness of economic sanctions). Lol, the Russian army is now at the historical peak of its combat effectiveness. Grin

What we have learned so far from Ukraine Russia conflict and from Israel invasion of Gaza is that those who rely on others are deemed to lose. Ukraine is relying on west to fight Russia while Palestinians are left alone by whole Arab countries. Its history of mankind that you need to strong to fight others  yourself.
Western countries are not fighting directly with Russia since they know Russia is strong country while they are sending there ground troops to support Israel to kill innocent unarmed Palestinians.
In the end its Palestinians and Ukrainians people who are suffering and believe me no one can end there sufferings unless they rose up and fight themselves.
This war needed end as quick as possible because the focus of the NATO support for Ukraine has drastically reduce and the president of  Ukraine nee to negotiate with Putin and out this war to an halt. This war had increase livelihood in different countries and the wheat market is continuously reducing because of the insufficient supply of wheat to other countries. People are sufficient and Russia is sti attacking Ukraine as of now. If this war do not end now, it will increase to suffering and the prisoners of war might suffer more inflation.

They are not doing that because Lithuania is now preparing to go to war with Russia because Ukraine is not winning this war.
https://english.nv.ua/nation/west-s-support-may-not-suffice-so-europe-must-prepare-for-war-with-russia-lithuanian-fm-says-50371342.html

A few days ago, there were different articles including posts in Yahoo News about Lithuania's President going to join in defending Ukraine so this is spilling over already and then Putin got crazy also when the Ukraine drones hit Moscow which I guess will also retaliate soon.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you foresee crypto payments going mainstream soon? Why or why not? on: November 25, 2023, 09:21:14 PM
How long do you mean by soon?
I don't think crypto payment system will be going mainstream in the next 5 years, in the first world country, maybe, but for developing countries, the infrastructure is not ready yet, the internet connection is not wide spread, and not really reliable. Even in my place which is quite modern, there are often trouble when I tried to pay with card.
We should be expecting that gradually and with time we are going to be seeing massive adoption of cryptocurrency in the world.
The government of some regions might still be think on whether they should accept cryptocurrency for mode of exchanges looking at the high rate people have started investing in cryptocurrency. The adoption of cryptocurrency has already started and with time we might be surprised to see more use of it especially for payment of services and others.

The adoption on the internet is faster than in the local adoption but we are surely going there for we are already in the digital stage where governments are encouraging digital payments. Once a big store like Walmart or something like this accepts BTC, they will also be considering other altcoins like ETH or maybe those with low transaction fees. It's just preference I think but the media nowadays are already broadcasting crypto prices just like currency exchange.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Country To Live In For Crypto Casinos?# on: November 25, 2023, 07:29:01 PM
Every casino today is asking KYC, there is no way you can escape it anymore especially if you have an outstanding balance in your account. While you don't wanna get scammed, it's best to just go to the most trusted ones rather than trying to avoid KYC by using some casinos that claim they will not and then scam you.

But one way to avoid KYC is just to limit your funds based on the casino's policy where they won't mandate users to send some documents.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs Gotti II Exhibition bout FEB 11 2024 Light Heavyweight on: November 24, 2023, 07:44:05 PM
I don't know what inspired this 2nd match. Though this is just an exhibition fight, but I don't find any interesting stuff regarding this match (not sure about the other boxing fans). Even with just 40% preparation from Mayweather camp, they could obviously dominate the other guy. I mean there's no contest here, even with just an exhibition match. That drama they have made in the first fight, that wasn't enough to attract more spectators. It's obviously a mismatch, I don't know what's interesting with this fight that they even decided to put a 2nd boring fight, are they going to make another more interesting drama? LOL!

The only threat to Mayweather here is if the mob rushes into the ring once they see Gotti is about to get KOed. But even if Floyd's one hand is tied behind him, he can still duck this guy's punches and counter to damage this man.

But you gotta respect the man to make this fight happen. I don't know how much is on the table here but it looks like a distraction only to all of us. Just like Commudos organizing a Gladiator fights to distract dissatisfied citizens.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 24, 2023, 07:32:09 PM
~
I think Jones still has 'it' as a fighter.  I kinda had my doubts before Gane, but after Gane he showed that he's still at the top of his game.  And Gane is one of the best MMA heavy weights in the world.  Nobody expected Jones to finish him that fast.

And we've already seen Jones at his worst and still managed to win.  If he wins vs Aspinall then there's only one fight to make for Jones...  A match up vs Ngannou.
Jon Jones always find a way to win and no one managed to prove that wrong for 15 years and for someone to be on the top of the game for this long is a testimony for his greatness. Even i had my doubts against Gane as he was moving up in weight division and Gane was really fast for a Heavyweight but he just shut everything down but a fight against Aspinall would be a big challenge considering he is really fast for his size. Sadly we wont be seeing the Ngannou fight and even if he fights him, there is no way Ngannou is going to beat Jones.

Can't believe ffor 15 years he managed to be undefeated. I actually thought he'd lose against Gane for the first time I think his fellow MMA star Bisping said it as well and I believe it too. Maybe because I wanted to win the odds.

We could be disappointed once again to bank on Aspinall. Jones still has the reach advantage and he could also do what he did to Gane. Big guy taking down the other aka Khaabib style.

318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we got new CEO of Binance on: November 22, 2023, 02:25:44 PM

But is it true that he will not only be a CEO for Binance in 3 years and after that, he can come back again as CEO?

It was said that this is part of the deal and binance.us will still be able to continue to operate even his admission to this money laundering. There certainly is something behind this dealing but I guess SEC had claimed the binance.us which CZ will also have to give up this platform to continue operating with his binance.com
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They accumulate bitcoin but how about you? on: November 22, 2023, 01:52:09 PM
I can't even imagine that besides Binance, there are others that have more holdings of bitcoin, but it turns out that Binance actually has the most holdings, then Grayscale is next. But I was wondering why Blackrock is on this?

Then the Robinhood exchange also holds more bitcoins than Kucoin, Gate.io, Bitget, Bybit, and others that are on the top exchange in the market as well. This is just proof that bitcoin is still a big attraction in terms of long-term investment.

One thing you need to know is that most of all this institutions or exchanges you see that have high number of bitcoin in their holdings than this days top exchanges are because they were once the big exchanges until they had to either stop service or got hacked but since the bitcoin associated with them are still on the addresses unmoved That’s why they are on that list. Example is MtGotx and also bitfinix which have been long in the game than those you listed above but due to some of the reason stated above or policy issue many do not use them again.

they are not just smart but also risk taker , aside from Satoshi those listed Company/Person trusted Bitcoin when it is almost nothing , (well they only risk small amount lucky that they have learn this when the value is just Cents)
Quote

Not all of them actually believed in bitcoin from the start an example is Michael Saylor who was actually a big critic of bitcoin at first but later realized the potential. Some of these institutions had large funds to invest and when they realized they cash in big. Which I think should be one of the top priority of been a bitcoin holder. Have an outside funds where you turn to in case of emergency crises as this will aid you into been a long bitcoin holder

Blackrock basically owns Coinbase and Robinhood so whatever those exchanges have means BlackRock owns it. In the bitcointreasuries among the top ones, it's coinbase, not binance. Binance came in late. But there is a group of institutions that own Coinbase which includes Vanguard and ARkinvest.  So they have been buying BTC long before there were even regulations through Coibase.

Anyone with some funds today should be buying too even just fractions of BTC every time they get they payday cash.
320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 22, 2023, 01:11:44 PM

this is by no means a cherry pick for garcia as duarte's record is impressive. so yeah, maybe, garcia's camp wants to test his strength to a KO artist. if garcia can pull it off, maybe, they can get a bigger name on the table.
the preparation is only a month. garcia is still the favourite here. but if you fancy an upset, well, you can pick duarte here.

They really not playing around by picking a kind of opponent like Duarte because this is a decent fight between these two. Also, it's hard to predict who will gonna win this fight because to pull an upset for someone who has just tasted his first loss seems impossible unless Garcia has lost his confidence and cannot get up and move on from that loss anymore. Nevertheless, it's nice to see Garcia back in action and this will undoubtedly be a fight that most boxing fans want to see, they wanna see how is Garcia doing after that loss against Tank Davis.

Garcia can't be a zero loss undisputed he already has a loss so what else is there to be afraid of, just fight someone who is bigger if possible to fight a champ in the upper weight class. But Duarte isn't as tough as he is so to me, this is still a cherry picking imo. Duarte is not a top 5 fighter, not sure if there is a fight of him that a boxing fan can remember unless he follows Duarte for some reason.
