261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 06, 2024, 09:24:55 AM
Francis by KO thats for sure. Francis eating the punch of Fury like its nothing will only make AJs punch less effective.

Good for Francis not waiting for Fury rematch. He didnt fumble the bag this time but Fury for not taking the immediate rematch. Dana goes to the ER again while overdriving AJ shill.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble on Bitcoin ETF approval results? on: January 05, 2024, 02:06:20 PM
ET is inevitable like they said so many bettors will probably go for yes. If it's just yes or no I would bet YES. But I think the platform will bet with a date such as "will the ETF be approved on Jan 14, 2024?"  If the ETF isn't approved on the said date, you will lose.

There is just no particular date that it will be approved, so many speculations even in 2023 but not one ETF was approved.

I couldn't see the articles though. Cointele pages just timeout.  504 Gateway Time-out
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 05, 2024, 07:20:06 AM
It does but I don't think that it is ever going to make me productive at all. I avoid being pressured and emotional when I bet because I know that it is not going to do good on me. While on your end OP, it might be as good as how it resulted but for me, I just don't think that it's going to be the same.

gambling under pressure is really unpleasant, our minds really seem to be split in two
This is correct and that's why I don't do that and I feel like being pressured is just going to lead you to more losses and you'll be more emotional that you should do your best when you're at that state. And that's the reason why it's best not to gamble when feeling is on that rate.

It always depends on what kind of situation is a gambler in. Let's say his wife needs surgery and he needs to pay the hospital a huge amount of money and so he gambles in hopes he could win that amount. Without surgery, his wife dies. This kind of pressure is just not gonna make your head clearer for the whole month.

OP could just be that lucky but more than often a gambler who takes risks playing while under pressure will not be able to think wisely in decision making.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Casimero (possible fight in 2024) Let's discuss! on: January 05, 2024, 05:54:20 AM
There is a video of Casimero recently that he talks about Inoue. It's the usual though, John Riel said that if he lands his power on Inoue, he will definitely go to the canvass. So Casimero is already hyping the fight and who knows, maybe he will be given the first chance here.
He will go on like this until he gets the fight, I'm surprised that the Inoue camp is not annoyed by Casimero's trick, it seems like they get used to it and just concentrate on whoever their promotion and the organization will give it to him, but as this point, he will have to toe the line and wait for Inoue to give him attention after all he is the undisputed champion he gets to say who he wants to fight.

Quote
However, Neri seems to be the front runner for Inoue and I think everyone wanted to see this fight as well. We are curious as how Neri's style can go against Inoue and he has power as well. And as we can see in the Tapales fight, Marlon did hit Naoya with some good shots. So if someone like Casimero or Neri can do that to Inoue, it might be a different fight or outcome.
Against Neri, it is going to be a good fight, but Inoue is at his strongest and he is very comfortable in that weight so I cannot think of anyone in that division who can beat Inoue, he is just so good that he is being compared to champions in the higher divisions like Tank Davis.

For now, Inoue is their best money maker so it wouldn't make sense if they match him to someone who could possibly knock him out. It will ruin the record too. Inoue hasn't been knocking some top-rated Mexican boxers yet, they will likely want to see more of these than having him knocked out by Casimero.

Keeping him winning more fights must be a plan for this guy until he reaches certain limits where he finds it difficult to defeat someone.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 04, 2024, 02:56:59 PM
What really matters is your composure. When ever such person who loks tattered comes to the betting Shop, there is a need for brain test, by asking the person some questions, if not answerd in a resiprocative manner I think there is no need for him to be allowed.
It's not good, most of gambling addicts have no brains, so the casinos won't able to make as much as they can. But that depends on the questions, if you only ask like who's the president in US or 5 years old math like 10+10, anyone can answer that.

Someone who can answer your questions aren't always have stable mental and vice versa.

But would the casino prevent them from playing?  I doubt that imo especially online, when they see a user register, it only means this user can read and write. and that's enough to let them register. Once he deposits coins, then he is good to bet.

Mentally unstable is broader. A lonely person and I mean a lonely sad person shouldn't be allowed to gamble as well because it wouldn't be profitable for him for it's a sure loss for him.

266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the tension make you take risk that are sometimes worth it? on: January 04, 2024, 02:50:48 PM
Yep there are times that it's due to under pressure that people resort to gambling. This is evident in poor individuals who have no jobs and are trying to make money because there is the need to. I have my experience in doing so when I was trying to rebuild my motorbike and I need some cash and I need money to buy parts.

This is just my own example but what if a renter of an apartment will be evicted if he can't pay tomorrow? This is going to be a huge gamble for him.

Yup, due to pressure, people can't decide well about what they are doing and sometimes it's not a win win situation for them, It also can be lead to a major problem. As per your own example, that's a perfect scenario for a person who's willing to risk their money in gambling without thinking and considering the things that may affect with their actions.

The situation could cloud the mind of someone especially if a person has a family, they can't take it bringing his wife and kid to live on the streets and they may resort to gambling or worse such as robbing a bank which is still a gamble.

When under pressure a person would take the unusual route to make it through the day. It's a common story in fact that a good man turned bad because of the need of money.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 02:42:36 PM
Can't count how many times this crossed my mind that I did later on. But I do choose my game which there is a higher possibility that I would win but also consider that amount that is not too huge but not too little. Although there are really times that unexpected things will happen.

This is probably because we are just too optimistic that we will win and looking forward to the reward is always luring us to bet which is sometimes its worth it.

I am thankful to anybody who really bothers to write here since it will only help to find the truth. Sportscasino.io is accepting deposits with crypto and cash.

I have never seen you before and I have skimmed almost all of the posts of this thread by reading them in a few minutes. I have also read your replies too and in my opinion the name of the casino sounds legit but I haven't heard about that casino  before this thread and that's why I still won't join a casino when it's recommended by someone whom I don't know yet.

You don't have to appreciate or get worried about someone's ratings and to be honest no one with good trust on this forum  rated you as reliable yet. I'm sad to say that you have got a negative feedback from a well known name and that's why the other members are asking such questions.

I assume this means that this casino was created 3 years ago and in case my assumption is correct, then the casino has been running for many years but is not known
After reading your this post I did some research and to my excitement the domain name was created on 2022-08-03 via Namecheap and if we keep that in mind then the site isn't even two years old yet. I don't know why they claim that they have been online since 2021. That can be an indicator of a scam because a honest and reliable casino would never claim such things.

They lied and it could mean a lot of things like a scammer.
I also agree that the domain is quite good. However, there are so many domains today that can be grabbed easily as long as you have the funds to buy those semi-premium ones.

If there's one thing they didn't lie about I guess it's the KYC. Maybe for now. But they allow users to connect Metamask which is also riskier. With no trust built in the community, this will be an uphill climb for this casino.

270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are casinos adding sportsbook on their platform? on: January 02, 2024, 03:12:28 PM
Is it more profitable to run a casino with sports betting on their platform?

Maybe because there are more sports bettors in crypto than users playing on dice and some other casino games. Crypto users are also skeptical about playing casino games, no trust I suppose because after several wins, the losses can just wash away all their funds.

Just my opinion though but this is also what I noticed in playing casino games. Although I win sometimes, I have the gut feeling that its draining my funds. This is why I play more on sports. And most probably casinos see it as profitable with sportsbooks.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is better, parlay or teaser bet? on: January 01, 2024, 03:11:19 PM

I have not come across this teaser bet. It may only exist in fiat casinos but if you can adjust it to make it in your favor I guess this is better than parlay. Either way, I don't do both of these as it will be harder to win through them.

I would be interested to see how this works in crypto though. Some of us are good at making new strategies to win and if this teaser can offer an opportunity, it will be a challenge to crypto bettors,
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Connecting to Public Wifi on: January 01, 2024, 03:30:54 AM
It depends on the casino operator; but not something I would recommend doing unless entirely necessary.
Although unlikely, they could always use it against you if you hit a Jackpot.
Then you would be out of luck.

The casino will just let it slide for now to just keep him playing until he gets the jackpot. I'd stay away to casinos doing this even if a casino is reputable. Those with threads like this.

Thats got to be a strategy of a casino once they see you win a big. A casino accusing a user of multiple accounts is not new. There are several threads of it in the forum.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: December 31, 2023, 05:33:12 PM

There are some streamers that I have confidence in believing I can make profits through their predictions as they are part of a big community of experts in a particular sport. I could say around 8 predictions sometimes 6 will be the correct outcome. It's not always a win but somehow the substance they are saying is correct and you have to be a fan of the sport also to agree to their predictions otherwise you are blindly betting.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inflation and crypto gambling on: December 30, 2023, 09:02:23 PM
Isn't it a percentage of that 1€ going to the winner this is why the lottery price keeps increasing also. The decision to raise prices is discussed by a government department, they must have figured 1€ is fine and is still affordable to the people. Every country today suffers inflation though I'm guessing the government is steeping up the gas to get higher rewards through the tax from the national lottery and keep the economy rolling.

Since BTC keeps going up, I think its the opposite that is happening, less satoshis yet the value in USD is still the same.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 30, 2023, 08:46:55 PM
Crypto isn't made to circumvent, it's a development in technology, and we are bound to adopt it.
Touchy subject but all over the world everyone gambles and we just set aside religion for a moment as it's not so bad to have fun for a bit. And the government is allowing the country to have some sort of a sin city where we can have fun and gamble and it's allowed.  Have some humanity. Can't Religion forgive a soul whose intention is to enjoy life?   Grin
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 28, 2023, 05:33:46 PM
Founds some nice year 2023 in review for you guys https://www.sherdog.com/news/articles/Fight-Facts-UFC-2023-a-Year-in-Review-192123. Some interesting data to be found there. Just drop a look when you have free time.

"Mayra Bueno Silva landed an incredibly rare ninja choke on Holly Holm and earned a POTN bonus. After Silva failed her post-fight drug test, her win was overturned, and her $50,000 check was rescinded." this one looks interesting. Fighter got a bonus, and later that bonus was given away, even though it is never officially announced anywhere.

Pereira almost fighter of the year. But Strickland grabbed it. There may be some of us who wouldn't agree with being Strickland as the fighter of the year.

One insane fight fact was the Shout It Out Loud as Aguilar had to shout out to tap as a verbal submission in the UFC. Didn't see the fight but found out his hands were bound.

When I found out there a wallet has to be opensource so many developers could see some faults in the wallet. It became the primary reason to use the wallet. But before this, I just use any as long as it gives me a private key as I can import it to any wallet.

But is there an incident where private keys are copied by the developers of the wallet to which it's not just the user who has the private key but also them?
279  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why you need patience to invest in cryptocurrency on: December 27, 2023, 08:00:02 PM

The point of this story is that many people have been introduced to various investment platforms but didn't have the patience to continue because they wanted to see profits as fast as possible. I'm happy because my sis, despite selling all her Pi, now realizes it's real and this will motivate her to keep mining. The person who bought her Pi is investing in her future because she understands its potential value when fully launched.
This is why it's good to buy as much Bitcoin during its bear run or bear market and not succumb to fear and sell them off. Cryptocurrency investments require patience.
It's very common this days for people to easily give up after trying a concept and it didn't work, or likewise want to see results before believing that a concept actually works, forgetting the fact that nothing good comes easily, or whatever asset whose value will skyrocket high does so in a short while. Hence, patience remains a must have for whoever wishes to reap good of a crypto investment, since Bitcoin is an asset whose value grow with demand and supply.
Because patience is that quality that helps you to endure even when everything seems rough due to the fluctuating  up/down nature of the price of crypto

But if an investor learns there is a cycle in investing in crypto, I think he will be patient enough to wait for the halving. Somehow the cycle is too long for them to wait especially those who are here for the short term only, they will eventually sell when they see prices go down or if they are already in profit for as 20%.

When crypto is introduced to them as get rich quick, the more they would assume a short term will be the route.
