1281  Economy / Services / Re: Earn $0.5 for ICO review on: August 28, 2017, 12:42:21 AM
Hi TokenTops,

I reviewed SIGT and FILECOIN about a week ago (Aug 21-23 i think) and I believe I wrote a pretty comprehensive review, but up to today my reviews still haven't been posted.
Do people need to post here before their review is accepted or do they wait until after their review is accepted before posting here?

In any case here are my details:

Name in review: jmigdlc99
ICOs:
https://tokentops.com/ico/signatum/
https://tokentops.com/ico/filecoin/
ETH address: 0x114b4fdc8e748a5683082e7866d08d6324cd26f5

Thanks in advance.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining is Dead? Wait, I'm making more now? on: August 28, 2017, 12:33:00 AM
Actually, whattomine is not 100% accurate. Even tho ZEC and XMR may be higher on the profitability list, whattomine fails to take into account DUAL MINING. ETH can be dual mined with DCR or SIA and that should be added to the profitability calculations. In the end, ZEC and XMR still have more or less the same profit margins with ETH+dual mining.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monitoring claymore miners with a raspberry pi and grafana dashboards on: August 27, 2017, 11:50:23 PM
Wow thank you and great job putting all this together! Looks clean and does the job well.

Just a bit confused with what you said here:

Beware that, if you want to monitor power consumption you'll need the HS110s. The HS100 do not support power monitoring.

Do the smart plugs do the power monitoring or not?

Also, why use the raspberry pi as a server instead of just using the cpu on one of your rigs?
1284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc = you make me tired on: August 27, 2017, 01:52:52 PM
I feel you man. I got tired of trading and went into altcoin mining but ended up being tired as ever.

But its a wonderful tired feeling when at the end of the day you did some right trades or you optimized your miner correctly. Gotta love crypto. Its my way to financial freedom.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining HUSH coin on: August 27, 2017, 01:22:38 PM
Anyone feedback on mining HUSH? Its been part of the top 5 in whattomine for a couple of weeks now (different GPUs, but all point to HUSH as more profitable than ETH).

I am considering switching from mining ETH to HUSH.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Musicoin profitability on: August 27, 2017, 01:16:55 PM
Today Musicoin become one of the most profitable altcoin for mining

How is ETH still higher for you on whattomine? Whats cards are you using?

On my whattomine screen i see ETH is already ranked 20th while Musicoin is 1st on the list.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMR] One Click Monero Miner on: August 27, 2017, 01:10:48 PM
Damn. Mods better get this topic closed before some unwitting users go and download that shit.

1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 26, 2017, 07:26:06 PM
Im an altcoin miner and i noticed a lot of people have now switched to mining monero (probably because of ETH difficulty bombs). But anyway, does this signal an increase in monero value as well?
1289  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a way of avoiding to change money when travelling abroad on: August 26, 2017, 06:29:50 PM
Your idea will depend much on whether the country your visiting has a local BITCOIN-FIAT exchange. You should be fine if you are visiting developed countries with bitcoin exchanges but most of the time traveling to exotic places without bitcoin exchanges is much more fun.
1290  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i care about mining as a trader? on: August 26, 2017, 06:26:13 PM
Yes, you should definitely care about mining. The first reply pretty much sums up why:

As a matter of fact, yes. Though you are not directly knowing what's happening in the scene, you should still know some important things about it. First is the date of their payout. Usually I use this one since some miners just carelessly dump their mined coins in the market without knowing the price. This could be turned into a profit later on if the price went down hard. Next is whether there are a significant amount of hash power directed towards the coin you're interested in. More hash power = more support and probably more interest in the said coin.

But simply put, you need to know whats going on with the coin not only in terms of value, but in all other aspects as well, project development, mining, road map, etc.
1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on a cell phone on: August 26, 2017, 04:56:12 PM
1st hand experience trying. I installed minergate on my S7 phone and was mining monero. Was thinking of installing this on my entire family's phones but after a week i noticed my phone was getting slower and battery life was shorter. I was making less than a dollar a day. Not worth it. You will lose your phone and end up with less money.
1292  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: August 25, 2017, 04:13:15 AM
Goodevening po guys.

Gusto ko lang sana itanong, bakit sobrang taas ng fees sa coins.ph (external account)? So first time ko pong gumamit, and I topped up 550 pesos to try. Wanted to send it to my external account. Sinubukan ko magsend ng BTC0.001 tapos ang hinihinging fee is 0.00176637 BTC and that's even low priority. Joke ba to? It's even more expensive than what I want to send lol.

If magsesend to external address, much better if bultuhan na or iyon bang BTC0.01 pataas para di ka talo.  Wala tayo magagawa diyan since mas lalo pang dumarami ang bitcoin transaction EVERY SECOND.

Ngayon kung di naman talaga maiwasan na magsend ka ng ganyang amount, you have no choice but to deal with that.

Wag na mag micro transaction? Edi pang mayaman nalang bitcoin?
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Miners - Help Sia increase in value? on: August 25, 2017, 04:06:05 AM
Siacoin is a solid project and is slowly gaining traction. The release of the obelisk ASICs should only increase its value by showing its a coin worth having an ASIC for.
Have you seen other shitcoins with an ASIC? No, because they are shit. Goes to show siacoin has value and is good as gold.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ASUS RX 470 low hash on: August 25, 2017, 04:01:18 AM
To add to what others already said (bios mod), make sure you are doing the proper overclocking. For ETH, you need MEMORY clock and not base clock.

My rx470 memory clock setting is at 2050. Good luck.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is it worth it to build a 6 or 8 GPU mining rig today? on: August 25, 2017, 12:38:37 AM
NO

Mining is slowly dying especially with the Metropolis update for ETH

Emphasis on slowly though  Wink

Im confident devs wont let ETH mining die.

They said so themselves they are pushing POS to a later time, meaning they need miners to keep the ETH network moving. Given this, they also need to make ETH profitable to mine or nobody will do it leaving the ETH network slow and vulnerable.
1296  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: August 25, 2017, 12:33:35 AM
I suggest you do not sell or convert your coins. Think of mining as a long term investment. If you cash out now you will be losing the opportunity to multiply your earnings.

Just make sure you are not mining "shitcoins" that will not have any value in the future.
1297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OmiseGo on: August 24, 2017, 04:22:27 AM
Just found out about OmiseGo and their incoming airdrop (all ETH addresses).
Will i be eligible to receive part of this airdrop if my ETH was kept in JAXX?

Anyway, im investing in OMG. Solid project.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 19 GPU ASUS Motherboard on: August 24, 2017, 12:54:44 AM
Wonder how much this will cost.

If anyone has news as to when this is going to be released it would be much appreciated. Will follow this thread for updates.
1299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 12:46:59 AM
Interesting topic. Happy to see that people can afford to leave their jobs and focus on making a living through bitcoin.

Im a software developer and am actually considering doing this as well to focus on crypto related projects.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet for buying lots of obscure Altcoins on: August 22, 2017, 11:32:41 PM
There are some wallets that are capable of manipulating multiple coins. For example look at JAXX.
However, you will still be limited by the number of coins these wallets support as it only includes coins that are more used by the public.

If you are holding "obscure" altcoins that are unknown to the general public, most likely you will have to keep and use their specialized and separate wallet.
