1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 08, 2022, 11:48:25 AM
~snip~
Not a smart move, and it is needed to be tackled inside the locker room. 4 secs still enough to create a play if they did not focus
with that questionable non-call foul.

Bet on SMB at halftime when they are leading by 7 points, the odds was 1.75 at that time and seeing that their lead ballooned to 19 points, i thought that is money in the bag for SMB but when checked my account to see if my winnings was already there, i'm surprised that SMB lost by one point. I think it is good for the whole SMB team to move on and whatever mistakes they committed on that game, make sure it won't happen again. They can't forever dwell on that game especially their import as that might cause chaos on their succeeding game which are very important ones if they want to make the playoffs.
I saw the odds it was 8 something when Ginebra was down with a huge margin, of course I didn't take it thinking it was a bait, unfortunately I'm wrong because it was an opportunity.

Converge vs Phoenix, for tomorrow's game. A battle between surging teams this commissioner cup, but for me Converge had a little advantage over Phoenix because coach Ayo's system is not yet so familiar.

I like Phoenix this time, not sure what's the betting odds yet but I'll take whatever it will be.

1303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? on: November 07, 2022, 09:11:49 PM
there is certainly still a really long way to go until we are changing the current trend, wait until the economy gets better then you might see the trend changing otherwise if it's in the middle of economic crisis like this the chance of changing the trend is rather low, moreover most increase in value for some coins that indicates bullrun actually are just short lived increase and eventually will going down again, unlike true bullrun where the increase in value is continous.
Our economic condition is affecting the financial capability of a person to invest and risk their money in crypto. It was really not a great time for us and only those who have the extra money can afford to buy which means that there is a huge decline in buying sentiment at this time. I was worried to see the inflation and recovery will take so long otherwise it was too long to keep this bear season stay as well. And our hope now is to wait for the halving period to help the market recover or else, the condition of the crypto market will stay like this for a long time.
1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 07, 2022, 12:19:18 PM
So, this match is just a month and a few days to wait. And this match is already booked in Duelbits and look at high the odds are.
1.02 for Naoya and 11.00 for Butler. Well, just like what the crowd is talking about Naoya who's going to win this match but if you're a gambler and you believe on some lucky punch of Butler, this is going to take a lot of risk if you're going to bet with such amounts.

The odds were already available early but if only the ML odds are out for now, it's not attractive for bettors as no one would bet on Inoue with an odds of 1.02, that was insane, although he will likely win, but would your risk with that 1.02? I guess we should wait for more alternatives.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 11:42:47 AM
Here I will show you about Bitcoinn chart since 2013, what do you think? it's obvious long term prospect is far better than short term!

...

Imagine you bought Bitcoin on 2013 for $100 per each coin and then hold it for 8 years and sell it for $69,000 per each coin, you will earn huge money! if you're bought Bitcoin on 2013 and sell it after few months since Bitcoin price already increase for 20%, you're only earn $20 and it's just small profit.

Yes, so my opinion too, and after I saw the chart you showed, I'm even more convinced that long-term investing is much better. and I will patiently wait for the right time to sell.
That was more convincing, honestly. You already figured out what will be the benefits when investing long-term but the thing you should know is that even short-term holding gives you a profit as well. But the question is if are you committed to holding long (years) and is able to wait for the right time to sell your Bitcoin or if it was just in your mouth.

Some people had talked about it but guess what, many of them have failed, it is a broken promise. I'm afraid you will be like these people.
1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or bear November? on: November 04, 2022, 10:41:07 AM
I would say that the market seems no changes to show but to retain the current status which is the BEAR market. I know this will soon be to put an end but the problem is we never know when. However, despite of the continuous bear market, I dare not to argue with that and ask when it will be over but rather make myself embrace the situation because whether we like it or not, this will certainly come.

If we are struggling to earn a profit because of the current situation, don't make this a reason to quit but make this a reason to hold and think about a better future.
1307  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: November 03, 2022, 12:32:55 PM
Most investors might think that regulation is a good thing but they have no idea how to regulate Bitcoin or even the fact that Bitcoin cannot be regulated. Either they mean regulate the end-points of Bitcoin transactions like vendors and shops that accept Bitcoin as payment or regulate centralized exchanges where one can buy Bitcoin. Never underestimate the stupidity of investors, no matter how much money they have.

As far as we Bitcoiners are concerned, there is no need for panic. Bitcoin has been out of the hands of the government since its first mining. And that will not change no matter how loud the regulators get. Grin
I'd say both as regulations consist of negative and positive output.
Well, of course, some people will disagree without knowing what is really implemented. But could assume that some of these people who think negatively will even change their minds when they see the important role of regulating the market. Why not let the regulating body will show what is this regulation for and whether is will be the time to oppose it or not? I'd say it was early to think about if it is good or not, but for sure it has a deep reason why it is pursue.
1308  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin a forgotten cryptocurrency? on: November 03, 2022, 12:05:30 PM
Litecoin is not a forgotten crypto coin but the team are probably one of the slowest in this space, it took them like forever to upgrade Litecoin logo and use new designs, still this upgrade isn't enough, the project needs something that will make the whole crypto investors want some Litecoin for themselves, the only problem here is Litecoin have a slow team.
And it was the reason why it was been rejected by most investors and traders. A reason why trusting this project is even hard knowing that the team is not aggressive to push the project into growing. What they did to their project, slow development and market improvement, that also what they get - low investment/profit. Now, it was their job to make this project interesting to the community, or else, the more it was been rejected by most and even dead in the future.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 03, 2022, 09:30:43 AM
..... but If someone is willing to risk their money here, the winning reward is really great here than what you put on the line. The odds for Paul is really really tempting for the bettors, but then again you are gambling with the lowest chance and more likely to just donate your money lol.

Only crazy bettors would risk their money betting on Butler, or those who are rich enough to waste their money, LOL.. Kidding aside, the probability of winning for Inoue is very high, and Inoue is still in his prime so can't bet against him, he is the man and he is gonna make a history of his own.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2022, 08:42:20 AM
The Milwaukee Bucks is doing quite well even in the absence of its second star Khris Middleton. Now the play is simple which is clearly for Giannis or Jrue can just shoot the ball himself. Although Khris is a viable option for the Bucks' offense, especially during playoff games. For now, they don't have to rush for Khris to return right away. Khris can return to the team 100% healthy.

It's unbelievable that the favorite teams continue to struggle except for the Bucks and Suns.

Bucks are still undefeated now, I'm not surprised though as they still have a prime Giannis and they are playing well as a team. Bucks will continue to win in a dominant passion, therefore I have no plans of betting against them regardless of the handicap. They had survived before without Middleton, it should not be a problem for them now.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pump isn't coming sooner on: November 02, 2022, 01:58:00 PM
I believe that the future of crypto currency is strong and big, I am a long term investment myself but...

There are many posts on this forum saying the crypto bear market is over, some are already saying that a pump is coming.

The truth is they don't know what's coming, bear market can last longer than they think, it will get to the point where many will give up or about to give up before things start changing.

Some holders will get bored and tired.

Some will even start believing that crypto is dead.

We haven't even get to that point yet.
Don't get confused brother. We only have two market conditions; the bear and bull seasons. Perhaps, it is a cycle - once the bear season is over, the bull season will take over. However, it was not a simple thing to think about, not even have the chance to know when it comes but we are aware of the halving which will change the direction of the market price. It was believed that every 4-year cycle it will change, as we are in bear season this year, it is likely we wait 4 years from now, and that gonna be 2025 we see the market in bullish again. That is why we have to learn to be patient and of course, to keep positive despite the disturbing price movement.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 02, 2022, 11:46:37 AM

It will be an interesting fight if Casimero will bring his entertaining skills. I mean, he loves the attention he must win the crowd here.

Well, I have no doubt Casimero will make it an entertaining fight, however, it's also important Akaho will be willing to give his 100% and do a toe to toe fight, not like Rigondeaux who just run all night.  Smiley I am not too familiar on his opponent but judging his boxing record, I know this guy is willing to exchange faces with his opponent.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 02, 2022, 11:13:07 AM

Good amount of money is awaiting if Japan or Korea teams already scout him. Look how huge the Ravena's are taking and Wright is enjoying right now.

Maybe Williams is seeing other options for him or it's just another drama. We never till there's an update from both parties.

For sure, and with what is happening now with him he would just choose not to stay and look for better opportunities abroad. He was in a similar situation with Ray Parks Jr., now he is already happily playing abroad, so most likely that's what we will see soon.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to crypto exchanges in the future? on: November 01, 2022, 10:36:48 PM
Don't bother yourself to think about it OP but have to believe that exchanges remain important to us who live in the crypto world.
Just think about the vital role of this platform, then you'll gonna think that as long as crypto exists, this can be still here.

Despite the growing number of users all of these things remain - Buy, sell, or trade crypto
Not all are preferred for P2P transactions - so, therefore, having exchanges is still important to other crypto users.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: November 01, 2022, 02:05:55 PM
It could be that the bull has started as we're already in November, the month I believe favours Bitcoin. I won't be expecting anything contrary to a bullish movement from Bitcoin this month. As it's now, price is resting on weekly support around $19,500 and I sincerely hope it doesn't break it so we can see it reaching for the $24k region where there's a strong resistance. If anyone must short Bitcoin now, they should be very careful doing that. Otherwise, it's better to wait and aim for long.
The economic crisis holds the entire market to move high. Though I wasn't expecting a huge drop this November, however, it was too hard to think about the recovery as well. I believe the bear season is even likely to stay even next month, so I won't be expecting a $24k price rally but a huge possibility we remain below $20k.

Anyways, it was already been accepted, we can no longer expect a fast recovery as we are facing this economic recession and market inflation.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 01, 2022, 12:32:10 PM
Toronto won by 30 points, anyone caught the Raptors 26+? I'm sure your bookies have that kind of betting choices, that would be a big odds if you caught that one. Me, I miss the games today because I'm out of town and was not able to bet early.

Anyways, I'm ready for the upcoming games.

Here are my picks.

Nets ML
Heat ML
OKC -3.5
Wolves ML
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2022, 11:44:14 AM
Goodness gracious, Denver Nuggets are so kind that they've given the first-ever win for the Lakers. Kidding Aside.
I thought that the Nuggets would be able to catch up with the lead of the Lakers but that's it, it seems an achievement and many are happy with this win for the Lakers.
We are wishing them that this should be the motivation on them to get their next wins.

It is nice to see the Lakers get a W finally. They were led by Russell Westbrook having a good shooting night off the bench as the Lakers second unit destroyed the Nuggets’ all night. A nice picture of what the Lakers are capable of.

I never thought that the Lakers could score their first win against the Nuggets because Nuggets is also a tough team to beat yet the Laker still managed to win. AD and LeBron were also alive and doing most of their jobs, but the bench players were different that night especially Wesbrook for bouncing back as he almost committed a triple double while this kid Austin Reaves was also good, contributing double digits for the team.

Their drought is over, let's hope that it's a good start for the season and they had already figured out how to win. Looking for the next win, hopefully, they'll get another one because if they'll lose again, that could be another start of the problem. Westbrook needs to be consistent, he cannot go off and on, because that's the only way to help his team.
1318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: October 31, 2022, 11:45:26 PM
They look for financial freedom and it is possible in the trading world, no boss and flexible work hours. If someone thinks he gonna be successful in this business, learning every aspect of trading is important since that is why many traders leave this industry after blowing many accounts. Regarding Binary options, as mentioned by other users it is a form of gambling based on different financial assets. Stay away from binary options and focus on spot or futures trading.
Spot trading is the best to stay away from risks. Financial freedom as well as a way to increase our portfolio. One who got the ability to predict the market in a better way will easily increase his holdings. In the fast moving world money is more important and to have the same we're in need of taking several forms of risk. One such way is the trading, which can be mastered out of learning.
Spot trading is a better option than any trading platform. But the risk remains high unless we just hold and wait for the right time to sell them. However, it was not the thing we usually do, earning a profit every day is what we wanted to happen which brought us to think trading is the solution. Unfortunately, not all have come out with great results just like what happened to OP's friend. This will tell us that even though we have been trading for many years, it is hard to assure that profit will always come as losses are still inevitable.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 31, 2022, 01:42:37 PM
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/manny-pacquiao-dk-yoo-watch-hologram-press-conference/c57ednnk2xhfemgamrsptirc

And with that, there are 3 judges in that fight which ironically score the fight by a draw.

So who knows, this could be the same outcome, no winner, just for fun.

I see, there are judges and this match might have a winner. But I think that judges are just part of the entertainment and the result might be a DRAW.

Wonderful show and Pacquiao just put a funny part on his legacy. Nothing wrong though as he really loves boxing although not fit for a professional fight now.

Another big money on the making with a few minutes of exposure. Smiley
Yes, that's really possible, a draw, but I guess we wanted to see Manny's hand raised in this fight even though this is just a exhibition match?

I don't know, maybe we are used to seeing Manny takes a win and if we are going to look at it, his opponent is no match for him.

However, this is just an exhibition match after all, to to give entertainment at the end of the year.

Manny will win this, people would not believe if he will lose because he is the boxer here and a star. Although he has already retired I'm pretty sure he is still active in training to maintain his strength, and this exhibition match is just a way to keep himself fit all the time.

This is just the beginning, hopefully it's gonna be an exciting fight so we will see more fights to come for him.
1320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 31, 2022, 12:42:52 PM
Two losses now for the Warriors team. This is not normal and they were up against a Detroit Pistons team.
They will surely be more intense in their next game against the Miami Heat. I will be expecting them to win this one and avoid a 3rd losing streak.

Yeah, but still early to push the panic button for the Warriors, they just needed to win, one game at a time, it was just their loses were not blow up games, it's very close and it was just the breaks of the game.
Warriors could struggle in the regular season and as long as they will reach the playoffs, they will be a different team.
It's too early, they'll surely be able to fix their problem, this is a championship contender team, so let us not expect they will tank this season.

76ers vs Wizards - I might go with the Sixers at -4.5 @1.90. Although Joel could be questionable, they have found or at least they have a new player to rely, in Maxey.

Honesty, 76ers is very unreliable so as much as I like to bet on them, I guess I'll pass.
