....
Or they are planning to trade a lot and some kind of rebuilding?  The Warriors people must be considering Curry's age factor and plan these moves accordingly, of course. I'm rather curious about where will GSW be in 5 years, 10 years. Of course it is very very hard to predict but I mean what kind of team they are thinking to build.
Some franchise broke their team to avoid high luxury taxes in the past but I doubt this is what the Warriors is planning. They will let go of other players for sure but their future line up is quite secured with Wiggins and Poole in my opinion. They will do just fine post Steph and Klay era.

Fortunately for GSW, they are raking in money right now because of Steph Curry. Fans are willing to pay high priced tickets just to watch them play. GSW will make more money than the luxury tax they are paying. It is still good business for them as long as they keep winning.

They do not have to break the team, but they do have to let go of some good players in order to make space for their young cores. Earlier, they let go of Gary Payton II even though he was really good last season, especially in defense. It still worked out for Payton though because he still got a good contract with Blazers. I just hope they made the right decision choosing Poole and Wiggins to anchor their future.

I'm sure Draymond Green won't exercise his player option next year and will finish his contract with the Warriors until becoming a UFA. I'm also speculating that we won't see any trades involving him in the off-season next year.

I wonder where would Green go after GSW. He is not actually a player that could produce by himself. He needs a good system that can exploit his talents and he needs teammates that compliment his playstyle in order to be effective.

I see that it is sports betting. I will follow his bets unless I am sure about that bet myself.  I do my own analysis of the teams before I bet.

A celebrity betting on a team does not make the team better or make that team win. Maybe his fans are just into it just to support him but for me, it is my money, so I make the decisions where to place my bet.

I will not just follow a celebrity because I am a fan of him.

So many DOTA games, really difficult to cover them all and make proper betting decisions. After loses on day one I had a better day with my main DOTA ticket hitting nicely and I was very close to land another long shot ticket as well. Still keeping it very low stake until we get to BO3 games.

That is my strategy too. I will wait until we reach the playoffs before I start betting on any team. For now, just chilling and observing which teams are more stable and have the meta down.
It's better to bet with confidence on the best of 3 series' than on this one on the group stages that only have two games. It's hard to beat those bets that a team would go 0-2 or 2-0. Because usually, they're going to have 1 win and tie at most times.
Day 2 has ended and RNG is at the top of Group A and for Group B, it is Team Aster. Well, just some Chinese teams again.  Grin
And with breaking news: PSG.LGD penalized by Valve at TI11 after failing to report COVID-positive staff

Quote
For the series against BOOM Esports and Gaimin Gladiators, PSG.LGD will lose their reserve draft time.

This will surely hurt them. I do not know how fast they draft but if you lose your reserve time, you will be forced to have a quick draft. I hope they will come prepared for these matches so they can still win even with this disadvantage.

It will be a break for Boom though because they really need a win with the remaining matches that they have if they want to keep going in TI. They will surely take advantage of this penalty given to LGD.

The game between Magnolia and Northport is already over, there's still 5 minutes left but a 20 points lead by Magnolia is already big enough, Northport cannot make a big run already to win. I'm disappointed with this team, they have a good start IIRC but now they lose consecutive games already with huge margins.

previous game was against TNT, 117-93 loss.

The teamwork of Magnolia is something that gives them the advantage by looking with their stats today you can define how good they move the ball, With the import that really contributing so well Magnolia is again one of the top contender just hoping that they will not choke again and lose games in the next round, too early to tell if they will be able to move forward and possible to have another title match series.

The locals are doing great. The ball is well-distributed, and they execute their plays really well. Combine that with a great defense and offense coming from their import, and they are really off to a good start. They are still unbeaten and continuing their hot start. I wonder which team will give them their first loss in this conference. Their next game will be against Ginebra but with the way Ginebra is going right now, I doubt they will beat Magnolia. Maybe down the line when they face San Miguel or the bay area dragons.

And just like that, LGD is in the top 4 of their group. After starting very poorly in this tournament, they turned it around by sweeping both OG and Liquid. They've shown that even if the meta is against their pool, they can still pull off and dominate strong teams. The next matches for them will be a lot easier since the matches left are Boom, Gaimin, BetBoom, and RNG.  It will be an easy win for them except maybe for RNG which I think they can still take a draw.

What is happening to Boom Esports. They still have to take a win in the group stage. They have been swept by OG, Liquid and Gaimin. And they split with Hokori and BetBoom. Their next matches will be even harder to win. They are lined up against LGD, Soniq and Liquid today. I fear they will be eliminated from this group stage if they do not keep their acts together. Are they exhausted coming from BTS tournament? They have no rest. From BTS they went straight to TI. They should have skipped BTS and rested to be focus for TI. It is just 16K prize compared to what they can win in TI. Their organization is working them like horses.

Looks like Jordan Poole got his bag. 140 million dollar contract extension.

A well-deserved contract in my opinion based on how he performed last year. It is clear now that GSW is gearing Poole as their next core when the current core starts to have their performance decline.

I wonder if this would have played out differently without the Green incident. This pretty much seals Green’s fate with the Warriors. They can’t afford to pay him what he’ll want without paying half a billion dollars in luxury taxes. Now we wait and see if Draymond gets traded, opts into his player option for next year, or is involved in a sign and trade.

I think, yeah, it could have been different if Green did not punch Poole. GSW could have waited for this season to finish before they offer a contract to Poole to see if he continues to have a stellar performance. But because of the altercation, GSW might lose Poole which forced their hands to offer the max extension.

~snip~

Let's just be optimistic that Zion is much different this time and fortunately, it was just a minor injury.
We are optimistic but some events can't be controlled and that's frustrating when I've heard it again but then suddenly turned into nothing to worry about.

I'm optimistic about him and the media and everyone's attention is on him.

I watched a video that explains that it might turn into a recurring injury for Zion because he sprained his ankle on his own. He did not step on any foot that could cause the sprain. If it is true, then we may see Zion getting injured over again unless he does something about it. He should take note of how Steph Curry solved his ankle sprain problem. Steph worked with a therapist to relieve the ankle of the stress and pass it to his hips. I do not know how it exactly works but it is worth it for Zion to explore this.

This format with 5 matches at same time is impossible for me to follow. Can't wait for knockout stages where I can cover them easier.

Yeah this group stages format is just silly and kinda impossible to follow. Lot of games are played at the same time and there is no way that Im going to watch over an hour of replay for the games that I missed.

If you are betting you have to watch the replays because highlights are just not enough to see how good the teams are. I cannot follow all the games with this format. I just follow the teams I will bet on later in the playoffs. Hoping that I can collect enough information in the group stage to make decent bets come playoffs and finals.

Or they just don't want to give their all in the opening matches. Lost 2 bets on them today but I think XinQiu needs to wash his face once more Cheesy But yeah, day 2 and hopefully they bounce back and be stronger than what they showed in Day 1.
Well they can't be and worse tomorrow can they? Kidding aside, some though opponents for them tomorrow in OG and Liquid. Not really opposition against which you can count to take points.

Well, they are slaying OG right now in the first game of their series. They are 16K net worth ahead of OG and OG cannot do anything to come back on this game. PSG snowballed right from the start of game 1. It looks good for LGD. They need this win to move up in the standing.

Regarding PSG ...I don't know man ...this is not their meta...

It is too early in the tournament, let's see as the tournament progresses if they will be able to recover from their bad start. They are currently playing against OG. This is a good measurement of how far they will go in this tournament since OG is one of the teams they might face in the latter part of TI. If they can beat or at least take a draw from OG, then they still have a decent chance to make it to the upper bracket. It will look bad for them though if they lose against OG since there are few teams left that they could beat.

1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 16, 2022, 04:47:09 AM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  Cheesy

I will still continue to play but this time I will keep my initial fund and just gamble with the money I won earlier. I am sure that if I won very early in the game, I am not yet satisfied or had enough of the game. I do not want to stop just because I won a large amount already, but I can control how much I am willing to spend. At the very least, I want to save the original fund. I also want to know how far my good luck will bring me.

LGD is the upsetting team on this TI tournament. I believe they start weak this time and not there usual style on international competition.

I feel like it is better this way. In previous years, they started very strong and dominated the entire tournament but always failed to secure the championship. They are getting figured out. Now they started weak, hopefully they can finish strong because we know that even though they are losing, LGD is still a very strong team. I hope they win this time around.

Anyone watched Boom vs RNG? Game 2 is ridiculous. RNG is not winning team fights, so they focused on demolishing towers and barracks. It is 70 minutes of gameplay where Boom cannot leave their base because if they do, the bear will wreck their base. The combination of Lycan and Druid demolishing barracks was epic. The barracks were like 3 hits against the bear. It is upsetting and funny at the same time. Have not seen that strat for a very long time.

Meanwhile, we have ROS vs TNT, looks like we now see a sure winner as TNT is already ahead by 18 points.

TNT would win this game, another blowout win by TNT, thus far, TNT is the most consistent team now, waiting for the time to see them playing either SMB or Ginebra to see if they really are that strong. Oftana is such a huge steal by the TNT, this team is now becoming more dangerous specially outside.

I do not know what happened to RoS import. He is not playing today. Does anyone know why the RoS does not have an import? RoS locals still fought valiantly even though they know they cannot beat a powerhouse without an import. The game is too one-sided.

How about the game tomorrow? SMB VS Bay Area Dragons at 4:30 PM.

Sadly there's no facebook like, so we have no choice but to watch it on cable TV.

No betting odds yet as of the moment but tomorrow for sure we will see the odds.
Anyone here have a guess of the possible handicap?

It will be an interesting game. They are the stronger teams in PBA right now so seeing them clash would be a treat. I would be betting for SMB if June Mar is playing but somebody said he is already ruled out in this game. Very unfortunate but we have to live with it. Hopefully we can see them play against each other in the playoffs so we can see June Mar go against the giants of Bay Area Dragons.

This day is full of games and of course, gives too much excitement for the betters at the same time fan of Ti11 in Dota 2. Who makes a bet between the match of EG vs LGD for sure many people lose their bets because of an unexpected event happens the Bleed blue manage to win with the uncrowned king of the finals and it is great to trust again with the EG and good to know that they didn't pick storm spirit again for Abed for another time, they make a new meta with the primal beast mid.

Great start by EG. They are undefeated today on the first day of TI11. And they did not just defeat any team, they completely annihilated OG and PSG.LGD 2-0 easily. I did not expect that. I thought beating LGD was a fluke but when I watched them against OG, wow, they are at a completely different level this year. They are on point in every aspect of the game. Out drafting OG and out playing them in the game. If they keep this up, they will easily be the heavy favorite in this tournament. Is this finally the year Fly will win an Aegis?
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 15, 2022, 12:51:13 PM
Called it last minute. OG @ -0.5 is a gem. True, BOOM Esports is one hell of a team but I haven't really watched them win a long, dragged-out fight. That Naga farming so fast whilst his teammates were being battered by the snowball from BOOM seemed like game 2 was over, but all they needed was a good song and a good pick off and they just win the game. 15k net worth transfer in just one fight. OG is DISCIPLINED this starting game especially Ammar who never got caught loads of times by getting greedy on the map.

2-0, I also stole the draw in Liquid v RNG. So far so good!

I watched this game, and I was impressed by how OG handled the game. Boom was leading in kills, but they cannot lead in net worth. The support of OG was impressive in creating the space for their carry to farm and get back in the game. They know their objectives and timing. They know when the games drags into late game, they will have the upper hand and true enough they won. Impressive DOTA by OG.

[...] Guys, have you seen the bracket B as of the moment? Although the day hasn't ended yet but looking at the standing of the teams there.

They're all 1-1.

Well, this is just for now but later will be changed as the games are still ongoing.

It is just the first day of the group stage. That tie will eventually break when the strong teams face each other. There is nothing special there unless that tie remains when we reach the fourth day of the group stage.

It is hard to watch the group stage. So many good matches playing simultaneously. Can't choose which stream to follow. Anyone having the same predicament?
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 15, 2022, 12:28:08 PM
In any case, if the Pelicans want to perform well this season, they'll need to find a way to keep Zion safe from those kinds of injuries.

Is there any thing that the Pelicans can do to keep Zion safe?

It's already on Zion to make that possible.

Even the Pelicans can put Zion on load management to reduce the risks of being injured, what if at the time he decided to play, the injury happened? Aside from that, if the Pelicans, let's say have a hard time catching up with the standings next season to keep their playoff spot, they need all the help they can get and that includes allowing Zion to play no matter what.

Exactly, injuries happen, and it is part of the game. They cannot control it if something unfortunate happens to Zion. But they can reduce the risk of it happening. I think the most effective way is that they control his training so that they can be sure that he is always at the top of his health when playing.

I've watched their game today, though i did not managed to finish it, but I can say their team chemistry did not get affected by the issue with Green and Poole. They played well both offensively and defensively despite of the loss against the Nuggets. So, many fake news and fake rumors circulating in the internet today regarding Draymond trade, but no I don't think the Warriors would do that. They look great this season with a couple of guys stepping up their game, and the chances of the repeat this year is quite high.

I haven't watched a single game this pre-season. It is good to know that their chemistry is still intact even though the altercation happened between Poole and Green. They need to bring back the same chemistry that they had last year if they want to successfully defend their title this year. There are plenty of strong teams this year not only in the west but also in the east. They need all the help they can get from their roster.

Those rumors are usually just click baits. They are just taking advantage of the situation to get more clicks, likes, and money.
1355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 15, 2022, 12:16:53 PM
Let's say you join a give away with other user and both have to select a number between 1 and 10, you go for 7 while he goes for 9. The winning number is 8.

If the prize is 0.1BTC what would you do? Split the prize and walk away with 0.05 or Reroll to gamble for the full prize?

It depends on the agreed rule of the giveaway. None of them actually won because the winning number is 8. If the given rule is that the closest number wins, then it is obvious that it is better to split the prize than reroll. Otherwise, if it is a raffle and no one gets the prize, then it should be rerolled to be fair to others.

Looking at BetBoom +1.5, Boom +1.5 and draw in Team Liquid - RNG match from thise early starts.
I'm leaning the other way around for both Boom teams but I do like the draw on Team Liquid as I think they'll at least take a map against RNG since they took down XG and VG in the LCQ.

For now, I might go with LGD 2-0 @1.56 against EG and Aster 2-0 @2.9 against Tundra.

Also, Stake is offering an insurance promo for TI but I think it's only for map betting since there's no other winner market aside from the maps.

I am sure LGD is strong against EG but I am not comfortable betting a sweep in group stages. I would like to give a benefit of a doubt for EG against LGD. In group stages, I am leaning more on a split map rather than a sweep.

I am wondering if LGD will change their strategy this year. Instead of going full force on every match, they would lay back a bit and just secure an upper bracket slot. Going full force on every match even on early stages did not went well against them in previous tournaments. They are getting figured out because they do not reserve strats for the later stages and especially for the finals.

Aster vs Tundra, I think tundra will this one. Will go for a split and if there are handicaps, will take that action as well.

I read that June Mar Fajardo is injured and will miss a few games. Do you think he will be playing against the bay area dragons? I am anticipating that game and wanted to see how he will match up against the big men of the Dragons. It is bad timing that he got injured before that game.

As far as I know, JuneMar Fajardo is now ruled out*** for SMB against the Bay Area Dragons.

Really an unfortunate thing that happened as I want to see how the full SMB team will compete against the Dragons.

A bad timing now that Fajardo is seems returning to his MVP form, especially last conference.

That is quite unfortunate. I also wanted to see him play against the big man of bay dragons. Because of the short format of this conference, we might not see them play against the dragon until maybe semis or finals. Anyway, hopefully Junemar will be back in full force when he meets them in the future. It will be a good match for sure.

What an upset, after Ginebra beat Bay area Dragons, now they lose to the Phoenix.

Best player of the game is Tyler Tio, I think this is his 2nd player of game award, and as a rookie, this guy really deserves the recognition.
Ginebra is very unpredictable now, they already have two losses this conference so far, can we still expect them to be a great contender of a championship?

I was not able to watch the game but it was really upsetting and very unlikely of Ginebra. Are we being played by these teams? Are they also betting on online casinos, and they choose to win big than win on the game. This is just a theory but this happened in MPBL, hopefully it's not happening here in PBA.

Breaking news about Jason Castro, he signed a three-year contract extension for TNT.
He deserves it and probably he's seeing himself retiring for TNT and hopefully TNT will give him another opportunity after that, if ever he decides to retire.
That’s a good contract even though Castro is claiming to be too old for that opportunity, I can still see his desire and composure on every game which we already know how he plays the game. Retiring with TNT is also good, he has been part of the team for years already since 2008 I believe until now, that’s what we called loyalty and he really deserve that.

He may be aging but we can still see how productive he is. He is still the leader of the team, and he can still close games when their younger stars are not performing well. So, he deserves that contract.

Who knows, maybe for that long 3 year's extension Castro may be able to win one.

If he continues to be aggressive and performs at high intensity, why not. He is still a vital part of the team and as we saw last conference, he still has what it takes to be an MVP. If he does not get injured, he can is still a candidate for MVP.

So this is it, ladies and gentlemen, the groupings are here. OG and LGD are in the same group A while Team Spirit and Entity are in group B.

OG, PSG.LGD, Boom Esport, EG and Betboom are the powerhouse and top team of each respective regions. Its going to be a tough matchup on this group and not to mention that we have RNG and Team Liquid to spice things up on this group as well. Thats it though, I probably going to watch only group A I think lol, its going to be super tense starting from day 1

You should never forget the defending champion. They are still complete so you can expect the same intensity coming from them. Team Spirit will still give the teams that you mentioned a good fight.

At the same they we are now struggling with the price pool of Ti11 it is not get half with the previous event of ti10 and that why they release immediately the battle pass promo and it is more affordable than the previous year.

Currently, the prize pool is still sitting at USD15 Million. Though a lot smaller than last year, it is still very lucrative compared to other e-sports. Last year was the biggest prize pool. That could have been because we did not have a TI before that, and players are excited. And this year, they split the battle pass and plan to release the second half later. I do not know if DOTA fans are upset or they are saving up for the second battle pass, but it did affect the prize pool for this year.

After the Match of T1 against the team VG the community of the dota 2 right now is on fire because of the trash-talk again by the member of VG.Erika as Bye bye kuku which is triggered a lot of people even though it is just a part of the game and of course being professional kuku takes this as a joke and make a post of out that let the liquid to take a revenge to him and by that the meme again rise up again right now there's a match between the VP and they are already out in the game of Ti11.

Kuku said GL, in which Erika said bye bye. That is not trash talk to me. That is just saying goodbye. They are eliminated, what else to say?

If Kuku is offended by that, I do not think he deserves to be in SEA. What seems to be a trashtalk in other server is just like a greeting to us in SEA server. You cannot survive in SEA if you are onion skinned.

The Last Chance Qualifier is finally over. As predicted, Team Secret and Team Liquid got the final seat for TI 2022. W Europe dominated the other regions and secured their seat in the most convincing fashion possible.

The bracketing for the Group stage is not yet out. We have to wait which teams Secret and Liquid will be with. Are we going to witness a Cinderella story here in TI 2022? Will team Secret be good enough to snatch the Championship from heavily favored teams?
