Only Warriors who can decide if they will give him the contract that he wanted, and yes, it's true that if in anyhow warriors will not
grant it and let him be available for a trade,

Other team will surely grab that opportunities and give him the contract might be possible that he will be offered much higher
with the skills that he is showing now, interest from other teams is no longer a secret.

For now, it will be on the Warriors decision making if what will they do with regard to Poole's contract.

If the warriors want to get Poole for cheap, they will wait for a year and let Poole go to a restricted free agent. They will then wait for offers from other teams and match the offer. Just like what the Suns had done to Ayton.

But if they want to lock down Poole and make him happy, they will offer the max extension. If they consider him as the future of GSW, they will surely make the offer. If not, they will just have to wait for a year and they can have him cheaper.

But Jordan Poole's family is looking at the opposite direction and wanted to sue Draymond Green because of his lack of unprofessionalism. Green's reasons doesn't change anything because it was his own fault as he brought his problems in their practice, now he got to pay the price because Poole's family is taking some legal action.
I've seen this news and while many have thought that the two were okay already. Here goes the news that Poole's family is pursuing to file a case against Draymond.
Well, that's a real family there that won't tolerate such violence that has been done to their family member. It's now on Poole's family if they're going to let it pass or if Draymond apologize to them for what he's done even though he's already said it.
It's always been a different approach when it's your family that has to deal with it.

I hope Poole can control his family if he still wants to play with Draymond. Otherwise, it will put stress between their relationship and the team as well. If it won't go well, I think GSW management will be forced to choose between Poole and Green, who will they keep and who will they trade.

Depends on the contract situation. Westbrook only has one year left, and so does Green if I am not wrong, which means that by the end of the year we are going to see both of them being fired or at least hired for much much cheaper.

Draymond still has a players option in his contract. If he decides to use it, he can still play with GSW. Unless there is a good offer from other teams, I think he will exercise his player options.

But, Lebron is not getting any younger neither, sure he is going to be a good player even at 40, but to expect him to deliver a ring to Lakers all over again after 37-38 is something too much to ask from him, not impossible but would be very very tough, and I think even he would rather have someone better. So, it's clear that Green is not that guy, at the start of the year there was a talk between Irving-Westbrook trade, that's what they needed.

Does Irving still want to carry Lebron (assuming he can)? I think he does not want to do it and not get the credits, since if you are playing with Lebron, you do not get the credit, but you get all the blame.

Secret vs VP tomorrow for first team to get qualified for TI from total of 2 slots available. I do think Secret will win just because they seemed the practice a lot during the free time and also finally came with meta strategies that puts opponents in difficult positions ...I mean , we saw today Puppey Ench that couldn't be touched and ended up winning that game in around 25 minutes.
I also think Secret takes the first slot since they did well against T1 but at the same time, T1 looked so bad and their drafting looked a bit iffy with the Oracle mid.

Team Secret is definitely getting the spot here. So the other one will have to be hotly contested between VP, Liquid, and Vici. I think any of the three teams could be a contender. The competition is quite close, much closer than with T1 defeating Vici. Vici of course is the dark horse in this race but they've been crawling slowly but surely in the lower bracket. They could indeed get the other spot. I'm even seeing a potential Vici vs VP finals.

Unfortunately, Vici was not able to close out team Liquid and they were eliminated from the competition. After winning Game 1, Vici was not able to sustain their momentum and Team Liquid was able to force a third map. Team Liquid finished them in a convincing fashion in Game 3 which send Vici Gaming packing.

Team Liquid is now facing VP in the Lower Bracket Finals. I think they will take this all the way to TI. If Liquid wins, WEU eliminated all regions in LCQ.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 11, 2022, 03:28:53 PM
I think the Lakers would not trade Westbrook for him, they have already Davis and Lebron, and they need a real point guard that is also willing to attack. Lebron and Green will not be a good teammate I believe, they had history back in the finals before when Green kicked Lebron in the groin which resulted in one game suspension of Green.

They are good. There is no bad blood between the two. I think I read before that Green and Lebron were vacationing together. And if the Lakers is willing to take Draymond, I think him and Lebron will be quite good together. And if AD is with them as well, I just do not know how good the Lakers will be.

Green will never be a leader, I believe it is Curry who is the leader for the Warriors. We don't know what happened inside but for sure what happened will never be forgotten by Poole and if there's a chance that he will get a maximum contract, he will surely leave the Warriors, same with Draymond Green I believe.

Green facilitates the offense of the Warriors whenever he is on the court. In a way, he is a leader in GSW. Let's not take that away from him.

Well, if Poole cannot forgive Draymond and cannot work with him anymore, maybe one of them will be out of the Warriors sooner than later. It will just disrupt the flow of the team if they cannot work together. It will be bad for the team.

This is tough for GSW because Green is valuable asset to them since he provide quality defense and assist to their main shooters for them to create score and also he's presence in court gives huge impact to them.

While Poole most likely to be the future of GSW since he has huge potential due to his skills show for their past games. He is projected to replace Curry once the baby face assassin retires.

It is a problem for them from the start anyway. Poole is qualified for a max extension and Green is also asking for a max as well. GSW cannot pay both of them though. So, whether Green agrees to lower pay or one of them will have to go. Even without the punching incident, GSW is bound to choose from Poole or Green to retain or let go.

it's said that they're staying in a luxury hotel. So, we can imagine the budget for this team if their lodging is in a luxury hotel and the contract that they have is very long.

Maybe not a whole year but a single conference for 10 years. Like they will be joining PBA every Commissioner's cup only. That is feasible. It is already expensive to maintain a local ball club, I guess, it will be triple the expense if you are housing your team in a luxury hotel. They also have to rent gyms for practices and the meals of the players. Imagine the expense they will incur if it will be for a whole year.
An offshore/guest team can handle the finances as they're known to have a stronger currency than us. They've got a budget and it's a lot for them to have its mainstay in the PBA for so long so, I'm sure that they can really do that.

It is still business though. Let's say for argument's sake that they can finance an extended period of stay here in the Philippines to play for PBA, do you think that the expense will justify the profit they can make from playing here? It is good for a single conference because the experience they get from playing here is invaluable. But for longer periods it is not justifiable anymore. They will be bleeding money with very little return. That is not good for business.

For those who are missing Myles Powell, don't worry, there's still a chance that he will be back if the current import of Bay Area Dragons will not perform as expected, here's the article for that.

https://tiebreakertimes.com.ph/tbt/powell-sees-bay-areas-switch-to-nicholson-as-chance-for-other-guards-to-prove-worth/251767
Quote
After utilizing the high-scoring guard in its first four games, the squad will now go with the 6-foot-10 center until its eighth match of the mid-season conference before choosing who to stick with for the rest of the campaign.

There is a high chance that Powell will be chosen over Nicholson after the eighth game. He gives more value to the Bay Area than Nicholson. It is evident in his first game. But we will see since the game against Ginebra was Nicholson's first game, it might just be jitters which is why the team did not perform well. They will face a strong team again in their next match. If Nicholson can carry the Dragons past San Miguel, he may still have a chance to stay as their import.

I'm going all in on Secret to win against VP in a series. Hopefully it's a Liquid/Secret finals.

There are no Finals here. If secret win tomorrow against VP, they qualify for TI. The loser will fall to the lower bracket and will go against whoever wins between Team Liquid and Vici Gaming. Whoever wins there will also qualify for TI.

Western Europe is looking good to qualify for TI. Just based on how good Team Liquid knocked out Xtreme Gaming, they can go all the way to the finals and qualify. Team Secret is also looking good as well, and they seem to master the Meta in this patch. If VP fails to win against secret tomorrow, there is no way they will be beating Team Liquid.

No hate for T1 but man, their drafts are really weird and kuku on the offlane is literally 0 impact on all of the 3 games against VG.
I don't understand them, they have their coach and added an analyst which made things confusing for them. I like them when there's no analyst as they can play their own heroes freely and whatever the players would suggest. For me, on the 3rd game, he's able to do his job of giving some hard time to morphling but their picks are still crazy. I don't understand why they've got shit picks and they could have picked better. Well, I won't be surprised if after this TI, T1 will announce that they've now parted ways with kuku, xepher and whitemon. These three should just better build their team without any sponsor but well, since it's their bread and butter, it's a must for them.

Those weird picks worked miracles yesterday though, it just did not work today. And when you see Topson, not in the top 4 of the net worth, you already know the team will lose. The supports just do not enable him whenever he is out laned in the laning phase. Unlike when they are in OG, whenever Topson had a bad start, supports will enable him so he can catch up in level and net worth. Xepher and Whitemon is good but they cannot create space for Topson if he had a bad start. And sometimes, Kuku is a dead weight too.

Wow, that's a possible long-term participation though it's just a rumor, but there's always a fire when there's a smoke, right? Who knows, they are cooking something but I'm concerned once they also noticed how PBA was being controlled and manipulated by the bosses of PBA's might be a change in directions when they will feel the unbalance treatment within the league.

Though, let's talk about that when the rumors became reality. For now, just focus on the remaining games and how they will be competing with solid squads.

It is a welcome development actually if ever this rumor will come true. It is not deniable that it is more exciting if there are strong teams that can compete with SMC or MVP teams. PBA is becoming stale because we only see the same sister teams dominating the league. The first time I saw how strong the Dragons are, I got excited to watch them play against strong PBA teams.

And it could even be better if there are more guest teams that can join PBA. It won't become so predictable anymore because of the strong guest teams.

it's said that they're staying in a luxury hotel. So, we can imagine the budget for this team if their lodging is in a luxury hotel and the contract that they have is very long.

Maybe not a whole year but a single conference for 10 years. Like they will be joining PBA every Commissioner's cup only. That is feasible. They also have to rent gyms for practices and the meals of the players. Imagine the expense they will incur if it will be for a whole year.

Maybe the PBA observed that the Bay Area Dragon has sparked the curiosity of the fans to watch PBA again, so these rumors are coming out. Let's wait if ever this will come true.

There is an advantage for them and they also make big decisions in their life when they decided not to get pregnant because they cutting their chances to have a child. Anyway, this is a different discussion since most athletes are rich and they can pay to make it possible. I never thought that their strength will drastically be decreased after they give birth and I mean, their worth in the sports industry will probably also decrease or in the worst scenario, no one will gonna sign them a full contract anymore.
Usually an athlete women will choose his career over anything, so if her performance is still at the peak, I don't think she will quit WNBA just to have a child. Although she may regret when she get older, but it's what it's and she might just choose to marry widower.

It is a personal preference actually. We cannot tell what the athletes want or do not want to do. It is their body and they can do whatever they want with it. Whether they bear a child or not, it is their choice. We can just support them if they choose to do so.

Don't forget many athlete usually doesn't have good strength and power, but Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi which is 40 years old player seems like 30 years old player. I think women after get pregnancy can still jump into competitive scene, but it take time until she really back like before.

Of course, they still can get back to their sports. It will take time to get back though because it is almost a year that they will be gone from their sports if ever they decided to get pregnant. They will be rusty at first, but through training, they can get back to their old self.

I don't know why the Warriors haven't found the time to find and train the future replacement of Draymond Green, they sure know that Green is already old and so he can't be that reliable anymore in the years to come. This might be his last season because Green have said in the past weeks that he is leaving the team if the Warriors wouldn't give him what he wants, well he had the right to demand but he should also understand that it's not a win-win situation for him and the franchise.

That is true. He did say that but most of us think that he does not deserve a max contract right now. I just do not know what GSW management thinks about it.

I think they are grooming Wiseman as their young core who probably will replace Green.

I'm expecting a competition this upcoming season for both Poole and Green as it's a battle of max contract.
If I am right, GSW has until Oct 17 to offer Jordan Poole the max rookie extension. If they don't, Poole will be a restricted free agent next season.

If they don't offer Poole a max, then the max might probably go to Draymond. Unless GSW will pull something like what the Suns did to Ayton. Wait for team offers to Poole and match them. They will get Poole back at a cheaper price. But it may backfire because Poole might feel cheated like how Ayton is right now.

Not often that I hit them all so perfectly, hope somebody followed Smiley Just mad at myself for skipping on VP.

Congratulations on the nice results on your bets. The upper bracket really has good matchups. All of them ended up going all the way to three maps. While the lower brackets are all swept.

I was quite surprised that Wildcard Gaming was able to sweep Polaris in the Lower Bracket.  The draft was wild but very effective. Davai Lama was really enjoying the game when he was focused on the cam. The way that he played Axe on game 1 was exceptional. He had a hard time early game but once he got the dagger, he was epic. He was making perfect calls every single team fights. That was fun to watch.

Tempest, Infamous, Nouns, and Polaris have bid their goodbyes to their chance for a TI slot.

We have good matches tomorrow. In the Upper Bracket Semifinals, we have T1 vs Team Secret and VP vs Team Liquid. While in the Lower Bracket Round 2, we have Navi vs Xtreme and Vici vs Wildcard. These teams have ample time to prepare for their respective matches. I expect to see epic DOTA again tomorrow. I will be taking over maps too and if handicaps is available, maybe take that action too. I expect matches to reach game 3 even on the lower bracket matches.

1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 10, 2022, 02:48:18 PM
Maybe for now yes he has a good contribution to the team but what about for next succeeding years? For sure his game play will decline more and leadership will not totally help their team for more longer times since for sure its just a waste of their asset to spend a huge contract for a possible bench warmer. Green is 32 years old and giving max contract is not totally worth for the management
Yeah, it's almost impossible for old player to stay in basketball since every year there's a young generation who's more aggressive and fast that would outplayed old player. In the next few years he will get replaced by Jonathan Kuminga.
Green's game is not about scoring or being athletic. He is more of a facilitator to his teammates. His value comes from his defense, his intelligence, and the little things he does inside the court. He can still be valuable 3 to 4 years from now but absolutely not the type that gets a max contract.

On the other hand, with what happen on the Warriors, I think, one of them might be traded to the other team, if it's Green, I have a feeling that the Warriors will struggle in the playoffs.

I think I watched somewhere that there will be no trades happening, but I am not sure. We will see as this story develops. Surely, if there is any changes in personnel, it will greatly affect the team but it is early in the season. If there is any changes, they can still adjust until the playoffs. There is plenty of time.

I am more excited about the LA Clippers, I like to see John Wall playing like a real superstar, being surrounded by PG13 and Kawhi Leonard should make inspire him more to play his best because they have the best chance of winning a championship.

I just hope AD, Zion, Kawhi, and John Wall stay healthy until the playoffs. I would love to see how the west will be when all of these players are healthy. There is no sure winner, even GSW is not safe. It would be a riot in the playoffs if these players will stay healthy.

I'm curious on what a T1 vs Secret series would be. Topson and Ana have both been consistent on their performance this LCQ.  It's also up to them to get the early lead and take the head start for their team in order to stand against a calculated Team Secret.

It is a tough choice between these two. Though secret has a better finish in their group stage, 6-4, T1 seems to have found their footing in this tournament after their rough start against Team Liquid. I am sure T1 have prepared against Team Secret since they are one of the favorites to win LCQ.

On paper, Team Secret is the better team. I will not be surprised if Secret has better odds in the bookies tomorrow.

Though I will not be surprised if T1 comes on top tomorrow since they are in a roll lately. It is hard to stop once they got their momentum. And Kuku, Whitemon and Xepher seems to have a good chemistry with their carries Ana and Topson lately.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 10, 2022, 04:52:23 AM
^^ I really thought that this could be a big issue for the Warriors team.

But according to Moody, after the incidence, Jordan Poole continue with his own practice for 2 hours. So that is kind of mindset that the Warriors want to see from him and not going to the media and bad mouth Green. And Draymond already made a public apology so maybe the team itself is glad that something positive is already happening from the background and put their difference aside.
So that's quick and they're good again? After that heavy hook that Draymond has made to Poole, they just let it pass and Poole continued his own practice.
There are fans that would like to see some disciplinary action for Draymond because he's the one who became too aggressive and Poole was likely the victim.
But anyway, if things are already good for them then there's no need to worry about both of them since Draymond has apologized publicly and the management and Poole is okay with it.

I am sure that there will be disciplinary action for this, we just wait and see how long the suspension will be. It will look bad for the organization if they let Green unscathed after what he did to his teammate. That kind of action should not be tolerated even if they are the star of their teams. That will set a bad precedent that they can just punch teammates and be left unpunished.

1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 10, 2022, 04:14:20 AM
Alright, Ginebra beat the Bay Area Dragons! It's now only Magnolia that hasn't lost any game and the Dragons have already 1 lost one for this conference.
I don't know but why it seems that we are all celebrating just this 1 win against the Bay Area Dragons. I think that our minds are collaborating and really want them to lose to any team. This is a boost for the Ginkings and as well as for the other teams that these Dragons won't always be as what we're expecting to be.

They are the team to beat in this conference. Beating them means they are not that strong and that other PBA teams can also beat them. Now that they are exposed, other teams will just follow the format and see if they can also come up with the same success. Also, it is our pride that we could defend our league against the guest teams even if they are strong. It does not matter which team beat them as long as we see that we are not totally dominated by a guest team.

Now that the Bay Area has been exposed they have to think back if they needed to bring Powell back, Nicholson is good, but PBA super teams also have Big men who can help in protecting the boards and play tough defense.

Nicholson still have 3 games to play before the Dragons can choose which between Powell and Nicholson they will want to continue the conference with. Right now, Powell is looking good to continue but I am not shutting Nicholson yet. It was his first game with the Dragons and there might be jitters still and they are in the adjustment period.  I want to see him perform against San Miguel first. If he really cannot carry his team, then it is better for Powell to resume back.

Lots had been rooting for T1 including me but seeing on UB first match against Navi then i do already lost hope.  Cheesy

1. Navi
2. Secret
3. Vici

If T1 would go on LB then they could handle out Tempest but lets see on how they would be handling Navi considering this
team is on rank 1 in Group A. This LCQ is really action packed.

I am not counting them out yet, they are looking good early in map 2. If they continue this and snowball on it, they could force a game 3. They just have to be very careful of Lina.

Secret lost their game 1 against xtreme gaming as well. They have to come back in game two to be able to force a game 3.

It seems the favorite is not doing well on their first game. For t1, it is understandable since they have very little time to prepare. They had 3 matches yesterday and still have to prepare against Navi. They can be exhausted by now. They should not drag this game so they still have energy for game 3 if ever it happens.

1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 09, 2022, 05:43:29 PM
SEA teams will have a tough matchup since they are against the top seed of each bracket. T1 is going against NAVI in the first game tomorrow, while Polaris will go against Team Liquid. With a very short time to prepare, SEA teams may be knocked down to the lower bracket tomorrow.
I agree with Polaris losing since Team Liquid looked solid so far but I think the Navi-T1 match should be close even though Navi topped the groups, T1 can still put up a surprise. Also, the over 2.5 maps might be the best play for now since every other match feels like a tossup aside from Team Liquid.

T1 is quite shaky even though they manage to beat xtreme gaming which is quite a favorite to win. But they lose a map against Wildcard which most think is the weakest in Group B.  I do not get what is with Venomancer? They always pick it. I think they are the only team that is using Venomancer. They were able to get some wins but most of the time it is a lose with veno. So if they still force this veno pick against Navi, they may be punishd with it. They should not take Navi lightly and should go full force at the start. I too think that +2.5 maps is a safe bet. T1 and Polaris should be able to get at least one map against the top seed of their groups.

[...]
but from the angle that we saw from the video that keeps circulating, it was Poole who pushed green first before Green
punch him. All we can do now is to wait for any update to know how Warriors will solve this gap between these two
stars.

It is a normal reaction for a person whose personal space is being invaded. You can see by how Green approaches that he intends to hurt Poole. That is why you can see other coaches also started walking near them while Green is approaching, maybe because they can already sense that there will be altercations coming. Poole should have defended himself better.

Thanks for mentioning that rookie, I will have to take a look and hope good (or bad)  he is. But so far there is hype so let's see how it goes.
I have been following him even before the drafts and yes he is good. I think it's just a matter of how the Miami Heat could maximize his skills and how they will train him to be better.

I was not aware of this rookie so his performance will have to speak for him. I will look out for him during the regular season and see if he can have a good contribution to Miami.

Edit: He already talked. It's long.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NqfXQyZcPI

It is indeed a very lengthy video. Overall, he admitted that he was wrong, and he apologized. We did not get any reason why he did what he did because he does not want to change any opinions which I think was good because he is owning up to his actions and the reason is not important but what he did. Hopefully, after this, the team can move on and still have the same chemistry as before the incident.

I'm sure by now you have read about a casino review site where the admins are trusted members of Bitcointalk, which  I believe is good for the community because they have a good roadmap and we all know their capability as gambling reviewers
but what if reputable members here decided to put their own casino will you support them [...]

As a community, I am sure most of us will support the casino a fellow member of this forum will establish. As you said, they are a reputable member of this forum, so it means we can at least trust that he will run the casino fairly and our funds are safe.

[...]will this become a conflict of interest if they are already or have promoted casinos in the present or in the past, what's your take on this?
Maybe in the future, we'll have one.

I do not think it will be a conflict of interest if it is in the past. But surely, it will be a conflict of interest if he still continues to promote other casinos while establishing his own. As a reputable member of this forum, he should inform the casino he is promoting that he is establishing his own casino and drop his promotion already. It does not look good for his reputation if he continues to work under different casinos while establishing a competition.

Congratulations to the Ginebra Gin Kings, that wasn't the game that we are expecting, the absence of Myles Powell was really huge for the team, and hopefully they will learn that Ginebra is not an easy team to beat, it's just a happy night for me as I also won my bet on this game.

With Blankley not hitting his 3-pointers and the other outside shooters not getting their usual output, they really miss the production of Myles Powell. I think they missed 19 3-pointers at least. Without Powell creating outside or driving inside to draw defenders, they have a hard time getting their output. We can also consider that the Dragons are adjusting to their new import thus resulting in their poor performance. That poor performance was taken advantage of by Ginebra who performed very well.

Congratulations to Ginebra backers. It's payday for them. If they caught the @4 odds, it's quite a big win.

No sweat, They can sweep WG since that team has a very low performance on this tournament unless they choke again to the weakest team to there bracket. I check the standings and they already secured Upper Bracket even if they didn't sweep WG since there final standing will be 4-6 or 5-5 in case they lose on both match or draw since Infamous is already completed all there match with 3-7 final score that is much lower on the T1 worst possible outcome.

Matu seems a bit on fire to this tournament since this is his last game for his career before will retired. I believe Team Liquid can have a good run on this tournament than T1.

WG was able to get a split but was not enough to catapult them to the upper bracket. T1 was able to secure the upper bracket after they won the second map against Wildcard Gaming.

The Last Chance Qualifier Group stage is now over, and we have the lineup for the playoffs. Navi finished top in Group A while team Liquid finished at the top spot in Group B.

Here is the line up in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals.

SEA teams will have a tough matchup since they are against the top seed of each bracket. T1 is going against NAVI in the first game tomorrow, while Polaris will go against Team Liquid. With a very short time to prepare, SEA teams may be knocked down to the lower bracket tomorrow.

Great game so far, Brownlee is coking again with already 26 points in the first half.

I think we will see that Bay Area Dragons will not anymore be undefeated after tonight.
So far, it's a very entertaining game and I like the starting 5 of Ginebra due to their good defense.

Exciting 2nd half is coming soon.  Grin

3rd quarter is just starting. It depends if they get a good start on this quarter, Ginebra may win this game. They are playing really good specially brownlee. Malonzo is also putting up good work in defense and offense.

I think Myles Powell is a better fit for the Dragons. They have enough big men that can defend and score in the paint. Without Myles Power, their backcourt becomes a little bit weaker. Also, Powell spread the defense because he is an offensive juggernaut. He can drive when the lane is open, and he can score 3s when needed.
