1381  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to spot irrational investors? on: February 02, 2018, 05:12:06 PM
I don't think this is been an irrational investors because shits can happen anytime to anyone. This is cryptocurrency, you might make a perfect plan on how to embark on it but along the line, anything can happen. This is why it is most time been referred to as a risky investment or busines and it is you should have a back up plan or plan B. But the mistake I won't make is to 'sell at the bottom when it is already too late, and invest more than I can afford to lose.'
1382  Economy / Economics / Re: Inheriting Cryptos on: February 02, 2018, 02:10:11 PM
Cryptocurrency is just  like any other assets like house or landed property and willing it to a beloved one is definitely not a big deal. Just make sure to write where to find your private key or password to your wallet to your next of kin. Another important is to educate him/her about cryptocurrency, to know their worth. And make sure its someone whom you trust not to terminate you just because of your coins.
1383  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Protection against armed robbery of Bitcoin on: February 02, 2018, 11:00:38 AM
Merited iluvbitcoins twice that was supposed to be for vintages.  Grin
I think I need to always wear my glasses.

Well anyway, I do agree with not trading to protect yourself from being known or giving away important information specially ID's that had been needed mostly now just so you could level up your account from trading websites.
Or we could also look for the ones that doesnt need it.
One is etherdelta. But it is only for ethereum and ERC20 tokens so your options are limited. Also have been a shitty website now which loads too much just so the tokens will be revealed. (this one needs updates)

So what else could be a better reason to be unknown and prevent this to happen to us?
I guess we should just use other address whenever you are doubting someone who wants to get address for payments.
But it is going to be a hell of payment for transaction fees. Before, this is easy but now you need a lot of money to do it.

Hahaha...thanks anyway.
You know the ID verification which are been required by exchanges is what makes a lot of trader skeptical in engaging in trading too. And it is also what gives away users information to possible bitcoin thief but the exchange are doing this to protect themselves and their users too and we can't blame them for it. So I think your idea of using the other address is a good one, even though the transaction fee maybe high, but it is better than losing all your fund.
1384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best indicators for altcoin trading on: February 01, 2018, 11:36:25 PM
You may want to try www.tradingview.com, though I am still not fully familiar with their system. But you might to try them,  also investing.com is also another good one. But , I can sincerely suggest to you to trade on the top coins listed of CapMarketcap.com with a cheap rate, and also have high potential of booming in the long run, or even a a potential ICO.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: February 01, 2018, 09:28:32 PM
That would really be hard if you get marked or something. Probably you can be marked when you don't follow the right rules in the casino. If you are doing something shady then you would really feel like you are being watched. I think the casinos are taking note on those people who are never leaving their seats or something because they are looking for potential gamblers that they are going to offer promos, like a free stay at the hotel or something like that.
Ya, I see what you mean but you know the most funniest thing is that you may not even know exactly which rules you may have violate cause there are so many of them.Even the rules that are not been stated, the instant you make a mistake as a first timer, suddenly you will be tagged.I don't know for others but its quite hard for me to concentrate in a game knowing fully well that there are 5-10 cameras watching me.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Understanding corrections and why not to panic. on: February 01, 2018, 07:17:54 PM
Great explanation OP. I understand exactly how you feel. I think more new trader and holders in this forum should really read this and probably learn to stop panicking. Because I'm really fed up of seeing new thread lamenting on bitcoin crash whenever the price dips. Though, I may not fully agree on a particular price you predict after this dip but I know for sure that the price will pump soon.
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another slump, do you buy BTC at the bottom this time? on: February 01, 2018, 01:36:09 PM
I can't say if the statements in the news is authentic but one thing is certain; its very hard to perdict the next price of bitcoin. No one knows or else you are part of the whale investors whom some people believe and says are the ones manipulating the price. So now that price is dipping, I advise anyone whom have an interest in bitcoin to buy or buy more. And for those whom are holding to keep on doing so.
1388  Other / Serious discussion / Re: How about a Stable Bitcoin on Sidechain? on: February 01, 2018, 10:59:32 AM
Forgive me if I may sound lame but IMO I think bitcoin should be left the way it is. Bitcoin is Bitcoin, there shouldn't be such thing as 'Stable bitcoin'. What makes it unique is because it is not been pegged as any form of fiat currency.

You should know that the instant this happens, we will start seeing some form of politics play and so many rules and regulations that will come with it. Most people, including me, are into bitcoin because we want something different. Something different from our country currency. A currency whereby we will be able to make a decision too.

Okay, let's say it becomes possible, which country currency symbol are we to give it to? Japan? UK? USA? This won't work. Its just like putting countries into Conflict and dispute, because I am quite sure many countries will prefer it to be pegged to their currency. There are just so many reasons why it won't work.

Moreover, if this ever happens; I will sell off all my bitcoin to fiats, no more hodling for me.
1389  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 errors when buying crypto currency on: February 01, 2018, 09:35:05 AM
What a well researched and written article. I couldn't agree more on the last pieces about not  buying an unknown coin. This is the mistake most new traders make, including, when I started out as an early trader. And most trader prefer to start out through ICO instead of buying coins which are already listed. This is another means whereby people get scammed. Though not all ICOs are scam.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever stopped or removed from casino on: January 31, 2018, 11:25:40 PM
When I did played in a casino, I must confess I was extremely cautions not to be marked and didn't enjoyed the game I try not to even win high because you never can tell when you might go wrong. I mean, to me, there are so many rules and regulations in offline casinos which is why I never went there again after one to two games. I enjoy online casinos better; you get to wear whatever you want (you can even play been naked if you chose to) lol..
1391  Economy / Economics / Re: What determines the after ICO price? on: January 31, 2018, 10:10:20 PM
I believe it is been contributed by so many factors. First, is the amount of investors whom contributed during the ICO token sells and how high the token was demanded and sold. Second, part is how hard the developer worked in updating the coin. Third part, is the important of the coin, it uniqueness from other coins. And also last, the exchange in which a coin is listed also matters.
1392  Economy / Economics / Re: Another Good news about bitcoin on: January 31, 2018, 02:12:05 AM
This is an old news and it was just a speculation and I am glad something like that never exist cause it was not necessary. The number one reason why bitcoin or any other digital currency differs from fiats or the normal currency is the merit of contoling your own bank and the decentralization system. After all, we already have the wallet to make management better for us. Without these, bitcoin won't be gaining this much attention.
1393  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: multi coin app on: January 30, 2018, 04:10:07 PM
To be honest with you, it may be quite difficult to get a user to test your app for reviews. Most people are very skeptical when it comes to downloading random apps on there phone because many hackers have used that means to steal users information. And you been a newbie here in this forum will not help the issue either because most people here judge people by ranks here. My suggestion; hire an app tester, there are professionals who do this, they are the ones to give you a better review.
1394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin drop below 11k again on: January 30, 2018, 11:34:59 AM
I don't understand why most people keeps on panicking whenever the price of bitcoin dips a little. Whenever the price dips, you shouldn't be making new threads to discuss this. If  you are new in the world of crypto, just should know that this is normal, but if you are not; then I must say that cryptocurrency investment or tradering business is not for you. Not everyone have a strong will to hold onto their coins even when the days are uncertain.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First UK's bitcoin robbery. Stay safe. on: January 29, 2018, 04:25:59 PM
Ya, I saw the news and also this is been discussed in a thread here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2838558.msg29168004#msg29168004
Though, this sort of incident have happened in the US some time ago, last year particularly. This way of stealing bitcoin will soon be an arising issue in months to come. On how to protect yourself; As suggested by a user in the thread, you may want to equipt yourself with protective weapons like pepper spray or hand knife but if skeptical  you may simply choose to avoid been know as a bitcoin trader or investor.
1396  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Protection against armed robbery of Bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 04:19:21 PM

Keep the cold wallet at home encrypted and only a hot wallet with you, therefore if someone attacks you, if you're forced to, you can give away a low amount of coins.
I'm unsure how it works in the US, but if it's possible, get a legal carry, if not, as I said, pepper spray, electric shocker, or a knife.
I'll be getting a new batch of bitcoin knives soon, might as well get those Tongue
Well, the bold words may work if you are been attacked unexpected. But what if you were been kidnapped? If you send them a low amount of coin, the robber will certainly know that there is alot more you are holding back, after all he targeted his victim before attacking. Have you  thought, what if you left home without your pepper spray, electric shocker or a knife? You don't want to be living in fear all just because you are a bitcoin trader. We all hope we don't fall victim to this new type of robbery but I would still prefer to live a normal low key life.
1397  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: Protection against armed robbery of Bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 01:15:39 PM
I believe the first thing that might have triggered an armed robber to attack someone and demand a transfer of their coin is if the armed robber knows that the person been attacked is a bitcoin or crypto trader. This is why it is recommended that you live low key if you are trader especially one with huge fund.  iluvbitcoins suggestion is perfect but what if you where not at home when the incident happens and was attacked when you least expect it; probably when you are out for a quick dinner? I guess its better not to have a trading app on your phone and live a low key Life till when you decided not to trade again. Though, most people may not like it since they want to live a five star life when the gains start pouring in.

1399  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Infrastructure Currencies on: January 28, 2018, 09:47:11 PM

Perhaps "infrastructure currencies" is not the right term.Such projects has to be like ICOs and they will offer infrastructure tokens. It`s an interesting idea, but infrastructure projects require lots of capital and a huge team, they are very time consuming and we have to deal with lots of government regulations.
That`s why the Initial Coin Offerings are only related to the evolving online crypto economy.
Exactly, I see your point, and I think probably projects on infrastructure have existed. I usually see one with the name 'Titanium'. It's doing well according to their rating and in as much as it may requires lots of capital to set up. I think the major problem the developers of the ICO many face is issues with the government. Even if most countries that welcomed bitcoin accepts this coin at the long run, the coin will slowly move from been decentralized to been centralized because there will be too much government involvement and I don't thing the investors may like it.
1400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are those ico's with kyc safe to invest? on: January 28, 2018, 08:22:55 PM
At the beginning when it emerge, I can say that its a good way for Knowing a good ICO but now, we can't still say because some scammers use it as a way of collecting individuals data for other fraud activities and at the same time still scam them of their money. I think its best to resort to the usually research of developers and the ICO, reading their whitepapers and knowing what people are saying about it.
