1381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 24, 2023, 03:35:29 PM
Borussia Dortmund should really take advantage of this good opportunity if they also intend to focus on the Bundesliga title race, especially since they will only be playing with a club that is close to being in the relegation zone.
The current situation definitely points to Dortmund who has been doing very well for a while now, on a great winning momentum whereas other opponents have losses and draws. I am not saying that they will win the league, but a potential leading the league before it ends is quite possible indeed.

Just for example if Berlin and Bayern gets a draw this week, that would be Dortmunds league for a while longer. Of course we still have 10+ more games left, and 30+ more points potential, which means that it's going to be quite tough to make a decision just yet, imagine a league where there are 43 points for leadership, and 39 points to be won if you win it all, so it's literally anyone's game at this point.
1382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 23, 2023, 09:15:55 PM
How can the government make sure that something like FTX (cooperate finance enriching themselves) never happened again? Crypto is presently not regulated and I don't see how regulation will fix this issue, my concern is the CBDC, I think it will work better as the real Stable coin, unlike Luna UST that team claimed was back by dollar but was not backed by anything... Wouldn't CBDC fixed this issue of fake USD backed stable coins?

You as a crypto adopter would you like to use CBDC if the pairs are available on all crypto exchanges as a way to store yourself some digital US Dollar?
Regulation of crypto after CBDC is created will be a hot topic, and will cause a lot of trouble for many people and raise a lot of questions. I think governments who finally manage to do it, will put a big strain on crypto and its movements and make CBDC a lot more relaxed so that everyone would go towards that instead of trying to work and make the current system better.

I know that CBDC will not be available for many governments for at least years, it is something that they are considering, but governments are slow, they are very large entities which makes them slow so even if they are considering, it will take years for them to do it finally.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 23, 2023, 07:48:44 PM
It's definitely not what everyone expected at the start of the season. Everyone assumed that Real Madrid would win, and I think this 8 point difference shows that sometimes things do not go the way you want them to go. I believe that we shouldn't be expecting them to get a win all the time, they still could, and won most of their games, but that doesn't mean that they will do that, it could end up meaning that they could have a bad season and just end up losing.

I believe that Athletico Madrid game will be very tough, could they win? Of course they can, they are Real Madrid, but that doesn't mean that it is going to be an easy win for them, they have been having hard time, so they may end up losing.
1384  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 23, 2023, 05:00:38 PM
It is very difficult to rely on taking out a loan because there is a return on the money we borrow after our affairs can be resolved. That's the point of having savings in anticipation of emergencies like that so we don't have to borrow money from other people or other places. Sometimes, borrowing money becomes a shortcut for people but they don't realize that the refund must be returned as soon as possible. There are some borrowers who provide interest for the money we borrow so that our debt becomes even greater.

If that happens, we are really in trouble to repay the money because the amount of money we owe is getting bigger and bigger. We definitely don't want to get into such difficult situations so we have to have some spare cash for those emergencies.
It is definitely true that we can't really make a big loan to pay off our debts, I did that back in the day, I am still paying off a bit of debt, not a lot, very tiny, like 50 bucks a month and it's fine, I could have paid it full as well but I wanted to keep it for something urgent and it happened and I spent it on that, and paying my debt easily.

But, if I had a lot of bitcoins, and it went up? Then I would have been rich enough to not take a loan at all and would have been able to pay it directly. This is why I am trying to save again and trying to get wealthy again, thanks to bitcoin price being so low, I can gather a lot and make a x5 profit in the near future.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 22, 2023, 02:24:20 PM
I don't know why people feel disappointed with Union Berlin. It is not easy to go five matches unbeaten and finally you got a draw not even a loss and people keep complaining that in Berlin was supposed to win the match. Is it that easy for everyone to be winning matches. To the best of my knowledge Union Berlin has really tried for this season and they will keep up that way by next season they will do well in the Champions League and also be more advanced in German Bundesliga and may likely be winners in the next 2 to 3 Seasons if they remain consistent
The main criticism is that they had a great chance to reach place 1. But they did not use this chance. So it is absolutely legitimate to criticise that.
But you are absolutely right and I think I understand what you mean. At the beginning of the season nobody expected Union Berlin to be where they are now. We have to acknowledge that and pay respect to the whole team.
That is the "elite" level trouble that these other teams could face. There is this cultural thing, where Dortmund and Bayern could play with 100% and not worry about leading the league in a single game, because they are used to it, Dortmund may have not been in a while but they are a club who could, and did before so it is not a shock to them. However Union Berlin hasn't been leading the league in a while, and haven't been champions... I don't even know if they have been ever.

So all in all, when it comes to "win this game and you lead the league" games, many teams start to play much worse because of the stress that type of game puts on the players.
1386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 22, 2023, 01:19:54 PM
So the Chicago Bulls signed Patrick Beverly..and my only question about this is pretty simple...WHY?  I really don't understand that current state of my beloved Chicago Bulls.  It just doesn't seem like anything that they're doing lately is making any sense.  I was all in on Arturus when they hired him to be President of baskeball operations, and god knows anything would be better than Gar/Pax...but I just don't see his vision what so ever right now.  Again Patrick Beverly, no freaking thanks.
It's almost like a white flag.
The trade line opened and they are silent. Now, they took a bought out player and with so many options out there they choose PatBev. Not that I underestimate Pat, all respect for his defense.
But, is defense really what they need? They are struggling on both ends of the floor.
I think it is having to do with the fact that Lonzo is out for the rest of the season, and there is a possibility that he could be out for good, his knees are gone just like Brandon Roy, anyone old enough to remember him would know that he was a great all-star level star of Portland, basically Dame before Dame, and he had to retire very early because of his knee injury, and basically the same with Lonzo who basically can't get any better for over a year now, and will be out for the rest of the season.

He will surely try to make a comeback eventually, but I am pretty sure he won't be able to, it is not going to work. All in all, PatBev would be a good bench player for them for this reason.
1387  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 21, 2023, 09:08:09 PM
To sustain yourself should always be the goal, it is true there could be moments in which this is not possible, as it could be the case if you suffer an accident and you require some financial help to pay for the hospital bills.

But this should be the exception, however for what I can see around me it seems this ideal is not pursued with the same kind of enthusiasm as in the past, as I see many young adults and even couples which depend financially on their parents.
Those bad periods where you are financially in so much trouble that you have absolutely no idea how you can get out of it is the real reason why so many people succeed in their future. Obviously there are so many people who are poor and can't get out of poverty, but if you are there just for once, and then manage to get out, then you will know what to look for in the future.

I have been there, had hard time and had troubling times, but I worked hard to get out and I know that unless something super major happens in my life, like for example I can't work due to illness or injury, then I won't be going back again because I know how to get out no matter what. I would be working at the lowest of jobs and still not be in poverty if I can prevent it.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 21, 2023, 07:29:44 PM
In today's Spanish League match, Getafe vs Valencia, these two teams came to the field to play. Getafe fought hard to win this match by scoring 1 goal. B. Mayoral of Getafe team scored 1 goal in 82 minutes. Valencia did not score and their  I have not seen a very good performance in the previous matches. Valencia team does not have good quality players. Due to which they have to accept defeat in every match.
This was the game for the relegation zone. Getafe got the win and put themselves above that relegation zone whereas Valencia ended up being in there for a while longer. It's sad to see a team such as Valencia to have a bad season like this, I am not saying that it is impossible for big clubs to have these seasons and I hope they don't relegate and stay, they are one of the more famous teams in la liga and seeing them go down would be a sad affair.

Getafe got the win and also the "6 points" so to speak, not only keeping them in the league but also keeping Valencia in that position so this was much bigger than just three points for them at this stage of the league.
1389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 21, 2023, 12:33:33 PM
I won't blame Union Berlin for the lost against Schalke, their are sometimes for failure in football. Union Berlin.  Union Berlin has really tried this season to be among top teams making Bundesliga very interesting.   Union Berlin is strong enough of defeating Schalke,  but I think Schalke is just lucky playing draw with Union Berlin.
Looking at how it was 4 in a row draws for Schakle, I could say that they are doing just a "bit" better, not doing a lot better but they got 4 points out of last 4 games, considering they got 9 points in 17 games before that, we could say that they are doing nearly double better in points compared to their old average.

This is why this game wasn't really shocking to me, they realized that winning games is not something they can do, and they park the bus very careful and very talentedly and try to score but don't care about that part as long as they don't concede. Which is why this game result wasn't shocking, because they have shown us this before.
1390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 21, 2023, 11:59:02 AM
You need to stop worrying about these stablecoins going insolvent. People for years have been claiming tether will go bust. And they never did. All these stablecoin providers are making the big bucks by buying short term us treasuries and making 5% bank for pretty much no risk. We are talking about a $100B industry here.

If interest rates are high for the next few years they will all be competing for one another. The only stablecoin that turned out to be a scam was Luna and you shouldn't be surprised. They were basically going to peg their stablecoin using bitcoin as collateral. And we all knew that wasn't a good idea which bitcoin is very volatile and has tendencies to go 80% loss from ATH.
I think it's not as safe as you think it is, and they may eventually crash, and it doesn't have to be today, it could be 10 more years of running smoothly without an issue and then suddenly crash on 11th year, who knows? But that's really not bothering me because it is another skin that we need to shed in order to continue without a trouble.

If stablecoins finally crack and crash and all that money is gone, the price of bitcoin and all other coins will crash hard, probably at least 90% with some of them forever gone 100,% but that doesn't mean that I think it is going to be bad, I think after that, whoever is left will make it go back up again slowly and in a few years afterwards we will be back where we were.
1391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin hold, sell or trade?? on: February 20, 2023, 08:44:15 PM
If you want to trade altcoins, then you need to choose a few tokens that are more interesting to you, follow them, analyze how often they have pumps and how significant they are. After that, when you make sure that there is good activity in the altcoin, you can start trading. But it is worth trading only for some part of your deposit, you need to remember the risks.
To expand on this, if anyone wants to find an altcoin that interests them, do not look for something that is popular just because everyone is interested in that. Find something that is a bit more niche that fits your hobbies or likes. You like history? Find a token that is related to history, you like gaming? Find one that is related to gaming, you like art? Find NFT world for example.

Basically, if you really want to do something, then you should be doing that with all your heart and not just because it is popular and liked by many and has an active community, that is the worst reason to like a project, find one that fits who you are personally to make it worth your while.
1392  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: February 20, 2023, 07:48:04 PM
I dont disagree but the retest is where I have more confidence.  The low prices more then the high prices is where I find accuracy is best given for prediction and the backbone to trends.    We do have weekly, 50 and I hope soon 200 day averages moving upwards.   When all that is true is best to be biased to the upside but I wont assume just yet, sincere optimism seems totally correct but I'll wait this month out and some.
So breaking this downtrend line is good, but once we have also pulled back yet kept this former regular negative as the very lowest price then I find we are very likely with positive bias.
If you are still not entirely sure about being out of the bear market or not, just look at the movements not the price. Sure the price is high, but it could drop any moment, that's not the reason we are out of the bear market. What's the movement? It's up first then down but then up again. That means we go up, and if we ever go down, we quickly recover and go back up.

It was 24.5k, then dropped, and went back to 24.5k within a few days at most, maybe in 24 hours or 48 hours, which is very quick. That tells us that we are no longer dropping, back in bear market it would be down first then a bit up and down again, because the movement was bear, but now it's not bear anymore.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 20, 2023, 09:02:22 AM
manchester united has become very strong since this current coach arrived, he has the same methods as xavi, he at the beginning experimented with the team putting players in various positions and changing them when they did not produce good results and also removed problematic players, with that I want to say that there is a greater chance of the manchester coach placing the same 11 as they did in the game against barcelona and I believe that this time they will win, the bookmakers underestimated manchester united in the first game, this time the bookmakers are placing the manchester united as the favorite

when I see this odd of @2.40 in favor of manchester united I am tempted to bet on this game, but even so this is a game where it will be very unpredictable, I will prefer to just watch the game and not place a bet, maybe in the middle of the game I will have a better idea of who can win this game
I needs to also point out that they have become better since they got rid of Ronaldo as well Cheesy. I know not many people like to hear this, but that dude was a cancer to that team and caused too much trouble. Not just because he is no longer that good, even if he was that good, that's not the point, put a kid that is as good as him there, any other player, and it would have worked, it wasn't the "talent" that caused any trouble.

I think it is a lot more about personality, the team and the teammates didn't really liked the way he acted and that is why he was let go and that is why he is not going to be that much of an issue anymore and they are much better.
1394  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: February 19, 2023, 09:28:06 PM
Yes, and the Curacao laws demand to check the identity of customers if the amount involved exceeds 1,500 Euro.

This also applies in case of deposits and losses.

But they can not collect KYC data against the will of a customer if not covered by the general Curacao laws!

If I deposit 25 USD and win 75 USD there is neither a fraudulent activity nor a financial criminal activity.
KYC can be applied by many reasons. It is not restricted for case when exceeding 1,500 Euro.

Honestly did you read Roobet's ToS or FAQ especially points about KYC?

You can read Termination point in Terms and conditions of Roobet. I believe they detected something suspicious and probably fraudulent activities against their site.
That is the point of KYC, it is to make sure that nothing is wrong, you could get no KYC at all, or any KYC even if you do a 50 bucks withdrawal, because it may look fishy and if it does then they will stop you and ask for more information. That is basically a way of them saying things do not look in order and you need to have a better explanation than "I got lucky" because something is wrong.

I had to deal with all of that back in the day, seen plenty of people who tried shady stuff and got caught and had to stop them, and among them of course where innocent people sometimes and casinos just paid them and apologized for keeping them waiting for their own money.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 19, 2023, 08:58:03 PM
The match is entering a crucial time now and Madrid are ahead by 1 goal scored by Valverde in the 78th minute.
It is a 7th goal of Valverde for Real Madrid in La Liga and he is nearly win in a mini gamble with his coach Carlo Ancelotti. 3 more goals and Valverde will win the gamble.
Valverde is definitely the future of this club, not by himself of course but the young squad that they have is definitely the future. Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Rodrygo and obviously Vinicious, these are all players who are at most 24 years old, and you got yourself the whole midfield and wings covered, of course they have to get some good defense eventually, not that their defense is bad, but they can get a younger better just like these positions.

Valverde was the only one people weren't sure about because lets face it, until this year he didn't play as well as he has done so far, he was semi-decent at most but thanks to this year, he showed how good he can be.
1396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 19, 2023, 02:40:31 PM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
i Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?
Coinmarketcap is just a listing services and NOT an investigation portal. So, if your own responsibility to keep checking the right and potential coin and tokens for your investments. After coinmarketcap is acquired by binance, you cannot expect nothing else but they will simply go for listing all the coins and token which are ready to pay their fees. So, being careful and ignoring shitcoins/tokens is up to the responsivity of individual investors.

Fortunately, I never bother about the ranking of coinmarke cap for any reason. Like most people of this community consider marketcap is just a number and it got nothing to do with the future of a token or coin. So, ignoring the ranking of any services based upon the marketcap must be a good idea for safer investment habits.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 19, 2023, 01:53:42 PM
I know that trading requires knowledge, but any tricks for newbies about when to buy or sell? For example, looking at the volume, looking at the queue for buying and selling and etc.
I am sure that there cannot be any technique to help you to find out the right time for buying and selling altcoins. Probably only a crystal-ball may help because 99.9% of altcoins are driven by devs and NOT by supply-demand based technical things.

Simply following the aspects that you have mentioned like volume or news/events of one particular altcoin, that may help you only for one time and if you want to repeat the same technique for another occasion then you will definitely get big disappointment in the end. Because, almost all the altcoins are being driven by pump and dump schemes to lure new and naive investor for short period of time. I basically like to suggest you to go for watching altcoins for some times (then you decide yourself) and you can invest with bitcoin from now itself with DCA and long term plans.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 18, 2023, 09:14:32 PM
Arsenal will play today against Aston villa in a very important match, arteta team should definitely start getting points again ASAP if they want to stay in the race for the EPL trophy, especially because man city will have an easy match against nothingham forest and they can win easily
Arsenal have no other choice but to win at home to Aston Villa so they can return to the top of the Premier League standings and fight for the trophy this season. Because Manchester City has continued to show consistency this season for the Premier League trophy as well, so Arsenal must really watch out for this even though the Arsenal team had realized this long ago. But for today's match, the best option for Arsenal is to win, nothing else.
By that logic they didn't have choice to lose to City neither, but they did, nor had any choice on previous games they lost points on, in every one of them they needed a win to stay, but most importantly they had to win against City, but they lost.

This is why I would say that just because you have to win a game, doesn't mean you are going to win it, there is a good chance you could end up losing that game even when you need a win that much. This means that we should be considering the situation as risky as it gets and not bet on Arsenal easily. I will still bet on them to win, but I will bet a smaller amount and not risk a big chunk of my bankroll on this game.
1399  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: February 18, 2023, 06:52:53 PM
Ultimately your money your decision.
But, we are not suggesting to only one person or any particular person. I mean open discussion is for all type of people hence we need to suggest the best and cannot stay calm just because of "not my money".
This shows the power of this community; this community is really caring and enlightening the traders who are already doing wrong things or getting misguided by greedy people or marketing agents with future trading kind of things. I am as well always against future trading still we like or not there would be at least one topic on every week on this board for whatever reason but finally people are getting tempted toward future trading along with their own reason.

I agree it is our basic responsibility to convey what is good for most common people like future trading kind of things are only suitable for less than 1% of people hence spreading awareness against it is good and needed one.
1400  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How the rising trend in CPI will affect Bitcoin price in short to medium term? on: February 17, 2023, 09:26:32 PM
To be honest, I hate looking at the economic calendar but like it or not that is their job as ex-forex traders CPI is always the moment of stress every decision they make "always" makes a market shake.

and that has come to bitcoin too after larger institution joined crypto industry is good that crypto gaining more people but news like "CPI" is the side effect  Cry
I agree that these type of charts and the way wall street trades is so beyond me in the crypto world, I do not care about those at all. In crypto things work a little bit more differently and that's why it's not going to be the same thing. First of all, whole thing is connected to each other, secondly we are talking about just bitcoin going up and down could make the whole market go up or down.

This also means if there is one bad news about bitcoin, the whole market will crash and that's not something you can avoid here. When you compare that to stocks where if one stock has bad news, then rest are fine? I would say it's not going to be the same thing to trade the same way.
